Resonance Blu Varadero: I like it

This is my first resort vacation. I really like it. I finished my trip three days ago and I still feel good about it. In general, most of things is good. The room was quite clean and food option was lot. The beach was beautiful and the shows were good too. I was worried a lot before I went the resort and did not get the sleep for two nights. After I arrived there I found it was nice and people were very friendly . The check in was fast and some one helped us to get the room quickly , which was f [... read more]ar from the front, by the cart after 10 PM. I have a good experience over there. Be honest, the food was good and it was beyond my expectation. A lot of verity, I always could find the some I liked. It is true, there was fries on the food since the dinning room is open with the garden around. This is the big resort and with a lot of people it is not easy to see the every thing is perfect and every one is pleased. The staff generally are good. They are very friendly and nice. You don't have to give them tips if you don't want. They still will provide the good service to you especially in the dinning room. The manager in the dinning room is always doing his good job I watched him a lot. I am thinking if I want to have another vacation in Cuba in the future should I go another hotel to get a different experience or return to this one.

Roc Barlovento: Fourth time to Cuba, 1st time staying at the ROC..

It has probably the best beach in Cuba. AMAZING!!!!!! as for the resort, very outdated, pool loungers scarce and next to no shade. Beds were comfy, and room relatively clean. A/C worked great. Staff definitely pleasant and always willing to help. Food (well it's Cuba) same thing every night. Breakfast of course being the best. Biggest issue was a pack of homeless dogs who hung around. Woke us up every morning barking. As long as you go with no expectations this resort is fine.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great first family vacation

the grounds were well maintained, restaurant staff can be trained a bit more to at least make it look authentic they know what they're doing, family activities including pool, table tennis, tennis and soccer court were great for the kids, excellent pool, great beach and enough variety for dining.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: A great discount resort

This is a great for economy travel. Rooms and grounds are clean. Food is great, above average for Cuba. If your a party person this IS NOT a good resort. Bar staff are very slow, drinks are weak, but Beatles night club and 62 Calas is across the street if you want to truly drink and party all night. The beach is one of the best, anywhere. The resort is small and great for a person with mobility issues.

Palma Real: Enjoyed my stay.

The grounds were clean and well cared for, breakfast and lunch good..dinner not so much. rooms were tired but, you are only in them to sleep. lots of hot water and air conditioning good. Staff were just great. I would go again at the drop of a hat.

Melia Marina Varadero: Great resort and awesome staff!

The resort was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was very prompt and polite and courteous. The food was surprisingly good despite my friends warning me that food wasn't the best in Cuba. Quiet section of the beach was perfect for relaxing while offering the catarmaran and snorkelling tours!

Resonance Blu Varadero: ok Memeroies

We visited Memories Varadero on April 11th for 7 days. The Beach was awsome as usual and the grounds were Just ok. The Food was about a 7 out of 10 for Cuba. The only draw back was the constant attack of Fly,s at the dining tables. The Entertainment was pretty good at night and the shows were standard for the area. Weather was awsome but very hot. We stayed in unit 35 close to the Beach which ment a 20 minute walk every time You has to eat. We Most likley Will not return to Cuba because of the nonsense at the airport, big pain in the butt .

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Amazing Resort

The resort was beautiful. The rooms were nice and big with balconies with each room. The employees did a wonderful job making sure the resort was kept clean. The beach was amazing and I spent a majority of my time there. The food was good and had an awesome variety. The best al a carte in my opinion had to be the Italian restaurant. If you are [... read more] going to watch any of the shows they put on go to the Michael Jackson show as it was the best show.There were some adults wearing a white bracelets around the resort and some adults with a green bracelet; we tried to find out what it meant and we believe that it's was privileged and not privileged but never got an accurate answer when we asked about it. I would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking to get a good value for a vacation down in Varadero.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Average Resort

Third time here but first time under Memories management. Food quality and variety is lacking. Ran out of plates at buffet several times and was a few minutes wait for more. Grounds are starting to deteriorate and not get fixed. Rooms are very tired looking . Had blood stained beach towels and went to get new ones and told there wasn't any. Was just an okay trip but most likely won't go back.

Palma Real: Relaxing Yet Fun Hotel

the hotel rooms were kept clean and the pools were quite cold but enjoyable. The staff were always happy and there for your needs. Overall great week in Varadero at this hotel! I would recommend this to anyone of my friends ! close to airport as well

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Nice resort

If you can find a deal this is a nice resort to go to. If minor issues bother you than stay away. With any trip to Cuba you have to go there remembering it's very difficult for these people to get what we take for granted. Only complaint is the room temperature is not adjustable and limited towels. The people who work there are very friendly. Keep an open mind and you won't be disappointed.

Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful Varadero Beach!

Newest resort in Varadero with clean modern rooms. Good buffet selection and a la carte restaurants. Enjoyed the evening entertainment - they work really hard and are so talented! Best part was Varadero Beach which is just stunning. Crystal blue warm waters! Be sure to take a catamaran ride and go snorkeling with Arturo!

Muthu Playa Varadero: Beautiful resort

The resort was beautiful all over the buffet was good they have 2 hot plate to cook the food.Beach and pool are beautiful.The rooms are beautiful the bathroom was remodel and awesome just have to watch your getting out of shower floor is sleeper.For breakfast are waiter was the best we could ask for.We found the service at the 24 hour bar could be a lot better.Woman had to wait for service and for me when I went to the bar when they finally got to me and took my Babba to fill with what I wanted  [... read more]they would turn to the other server and start talking together and not serving the customer like they should the snack bar the service was better the bbq on the beach side could've been open longer

Brisas Del Caribe: good resort

Rooms are pretty clean. Grounds well kept food is not great but there is a bit of variety a LA carte restaurants are good definitely beats the buffet staff is friend and helpfull all in all decent hotel for the price had worst experience in 4 stars hotels in cuba

Hotel Los Cactus: It's gets better everytime! Awesome.....

My husband and I love Super Breezes! The staff are amazing and so friendly. The food and entertainment were great. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the entertainers John Mcdermott, who told us of all the resorts he has stayed at Breezes Veradero was the best for it's surrondings, cleanliness, friendly staff a very secure place.Love the oceanview suite, but to the west of us......pounding music that never seemed to stop. Hotel Los Cactus: Great small and friendly resort!

The resort itself has some cosmetic issues but overall I found it to be a great resort. It is small and not very busy which I really enjoyed! It was never a problem to find somewhere to lay in the sun or shade.

Resonance Blu Varadero: great vacation!!!!!

Rooms were alright, service was good, Cubans are amazing. Couple things that I like.....firstly the bank never had pesos.....only threes & fives.....I don't mind giving but I should be the one deciding how much!!!!! That really annoyed me!!!!!Secondly we were ground level and every second day they would come 5am and spray pesticide for mosquitoes and the fumes would come in our rooms under &around the door leaving us having to breath this poison!!!!!!

Hotel Bella Costa: Good Location, great beaches

Hotel was worn. Great location, great beaches, kept clean. Entertainment was fun. Really annoyed that had to check out of room at 12.00,when we were there until 7.30 pm There was a fee, but did not use the room the previous week, as we did not arrive until 10.30 pm

Hotel Los Cactus: Just Okay

This was our first experience in Cuba. And based on what I had heard it pretty much met my expectations. As most say about Cuba the food is not great. We did not find any food that we really enjoyed. Eating was mostly out of necessity. The air conditioner on our room did not work very well and we found it difficult to sleep. It was also very humid and as a result very musty smelling. However friends of ours had rooms in the newer section and their ac was much better and the room less damp. We we [... read more]re also less then impressed with the cleaning service on our room. I don't think they swept the floor once. The service in the rest of the resort was about the same. Most of the bartenders and waitstaff seemed annoyed/standoffish/rude. Sometimes ignoring you all together while they carry on conversations amongst themselves. The waitstaff in the A La Carts however were for the most part pleasant. The beach was incredible! The nicest we've seen (been to Jamaica, DR, and Mexico). The grounds were also alway nicely kept. Over all it was nice to get away and see some sun and sand after the long winter here in NB. However the food and poor service were a deal breaker. Will not be returning.

Brisas Del Caribe: Nice resort

The resort was nice the beach is beautiful the food was eatable the entertainment was good the service was good we had a couple of mishaps but was fixed fast so we didn't really notice would go back for the right price
