Riu Palace Costa Rica: Awesome holiday

Awesome, clean resort. Bedrooms starting to look a little dated. Friendly staff. Nice quiet beaches. Food was okay, but that's to be expected. Would definitely go here again. Experience with tripcentral was great as well. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. O'Neil went the extra mile for us. And tour staff in Costa Rica were helpful and available when needed.

Riu Guanacaste: Great Experience!

The resort is wonderful. Food was fantastic at dinner. Mediocre at breakfast and lunch. The Asian A la carte was very good. Rooms were My least favourite part. The beds weren't comfy and the bathrooms weren't I'm great working order. Very dated. Our air didn't work great but It was comfortable enough. Service was not the best I've received at a resort. Often times I had to get My own drinks and dirty plates remained on the table for awhile. The lobby is very nice and has a nice breez [... read more]e. The theater is big and had great shows and music. The lobby bar makes excellent cocktails. Lots of seating. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Pools were amazing. Never crowded. Never had an issue getting a pool chair. No service around the pool. The swim up bar was good but if you have kids with you you can't really take advantage of it as it's 18 plus in that area. Grounds at the resort were beautiful! Stunning views. Beach was not what I am used to but I quickly fell in love with it. Water was clear and clean. Sand is darker. Not a lot of seating at the beach so I advise going early. Lots of vendors. Everyone very friendly and we did not find anyone to be pushy. Massages on the beach were great! Monkeys on the beach about ten minutes to the left. Very cool experience to see them in their natural habitat. Wifi wasn't the best but manageable. Overall I really enjoyed this resort. Our trip was made extra special with lots of off site excursions which I highly recommend. The country is beautiful! Look for Alan on the beach. Very friendly friendly and reasonably priced.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: The worst resort ever

First day the flight was day delayed x 12 hrs 2- thé room was not cleaned x 2 days out of 6 we had to call them after 8 pm to get towel and clean the room 3- some of waiters in the resort were very rude and snapping when u ask for table 4 -it rained 2-3 days never moved the water and my wife slipped and fell down injured her R hand and wrist

Riu Vallarta: Sun, Sea and Pool Meca

RIU Vallarta was fabulous!! The hotel is spotless and constantly being cleaned and maintained. So so we’ll run by friendly helpful and energetic staff. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to friends and family. The food, drinks and entertainment was generous, tasteful and beautiful presented.

Riu Flamingos: Best place to vac

We love the location, sandy Beach and the layout 😍 of the resort. The dining was elegant and food was really good. We love the entertainment especially the foam party and all white party. They could upgrade the gym a bit though. All over I will go there again.

Riu Ocho Rios: Beautiful Resort

This hotel is very clean and services are excellent. The food is fresh, tasty and delicious. The beach is very calm and water is very clear and waves are not that high. An excellent family get away. People are very friendly and down to earth. I would like to see them serve black label scotch whisky because I .m a scotch drinker with a fine pallet.

Riu Dunamar: Decent Resort

Nice property, nice rooms, great entertainment, but poor quality food for a Riu resort. The A La Carte restaurants are actually just buffets with lower quality food than the main buffet. The hotel staff are polite and friendly.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Great experience

We spent 7 days at Riu palace. We had an excellent experience on most fronts including:room, service (Cleaning, front desk, courtousey desk etc.). I had arranged for a parcel to be delivered . It was waiting for me upon arrival. We had to call our insurance company and see a doctor. Reina at the service desk made it seemless. The Dr actually came to pick us up from the hotel to the clinic . Bar, restaurant and entertainment staff was amazing.foor at the buffets was excellent. We had higher expe [... read more]ctations from the a la cart restaurant, so we were not impressed with the food there. (Embience and service were good, but the food was below standard). Lastly, we went in August and there was much seaweed which was only cleaned once every couple of days. All in all, I would definitely come back.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: was alright, was not my favorite vacation spot

friendly staff, hotel entertainment is not great. There is a good amount of restaurants and pools however pools are all very small and very close together so the hotel feels small. family oriented so don't expect a party.

Riu Palace Baja California: The hotel was not up to RUI standards

The room was clean, but the furniture was very tired, the couch was well worn and should have been replaced, the mattress sagged. The furniture around the deck was also very tired and well worn. The lounges had torn fabric, the metal frame was dirty and in need of paint. The food was bland - all the food at the buffet was tasteless! It didn’t matter what we tried it was bland. Restaurants Krystal and Guacamole were fantastic, both in terms of presentation and taste.

Riu Palace Antillas: Beautiful Aruba Amazing Resort

Thank you O’Neil Graham of Tripcentral for arranging this special holiday and suggesting this fabulous hotel. Celebrating our 45 Anniversary and making this mild stone very memorable. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and service was excellent. The food was delicious in the speciality restaurants and the buffet. They say Aruba is a windy island but the breeze was welcoming allowing you to spend the entire day on the most beautiful beach. Cant wait to go back!

Riu Santa Fe: Just an OK stay at RIU Santa Fe

The hotel was okay but will not be returning. The food choices and restaurants were disappointment. I found the restaurants to close too early (9:30pm). Grounds were clean and so were the facilities..

Riu Dunamar: Amazing resort

The hotel was great. I found it to be very well kept, The staff worked day and night and provided great and friendly service. My family and I had and excellent experience. I would definitely recommend!

Riu Latino: Very clean and modern design, more of a party vibe, food a bit lacking

Beach/Pools Seaweed was cleared everyday. I was able to go to the beach everyday, but expect there to be a yellow flag. There was a bit of seaweed in the water but nothing crazy. Chairs have to be reserved early in order to get shade. Standard Riu pools, activity pool, two bar pools, quiet pool, and water park. Spent most of my time at one of the bar pools, good shade during the day. Quiet pool was relatively respected although expect some yelling from the adjacent water slide park.  [... read more] Service I had no issues with any of the people that I interacted with. Check-in was relatively quick ~30 minutes from arrival. Bellboy promptly brought our luggage up to the room and we got right into relaxing within an hour of arrival. Ozuna was our main bartender at the pool bar and made a custom drink for us which ended up being our favourite for the trip. Elizabeth at the Velvet lobby bar was great and made okay cocktails, don't expect anything fancy here. The entertainment team was engaging but respective of your space. Food This is where I believe this resort lacks. There is a great selection but the actual quality of the food is not the best, specifically the meats. I regularly had meat dishes which were terrible cuts of meat or mostly fat. I experienced this the most at the steakhouse which was a joke at best. The steak was half fat and they only gave me a measly 3 ribs which I later found in the buffet. I didn't have much fish but the fish I had was good. My ranking for the restaurants is the following: 1. Milan 2. Kulinarium 3. Moctezuma (Buffet) 4. Geisha (Close tie with Buffet) 5. Pepe's Snack Bar 6. Steakhouse (VERY BOTTOM) Rooms Very modern design, looks amazing for the price you pay. Room was regularly cleaned and minifridge was regularly stocked. Some of the towels I received had some stains on them. I don't think I ever got a proper sleep, beds were subpar, and pillows had no fluff to them. You need to grab extra pillows from the closet in order to get somewhat comfortable. Value I paid roughly $1600/pp for 7 days in mid-July for a Partial Oceanview Room (was facing Isla Mujeres). I believe this was average and nothing special. I am open to trying something else the next time I come to Mexico. I believe this would be better suited for large groups of friends or family to party at. Location It took us about an hour to get to our hotel from the airport and we were the first stop. I only went offsite once for an excursion to Isla Mujeres which was a good time albeit a bit rushed. Booking through our Sunwing agent was around $85/pp to go and they took you to snorkel at the underwater museum off the southern shore of the island, provided a mediocre lunch, and gave you around 2 hours free time on the northern part of the island (Playa Norte). Sunwing offers a free shopping trip to Cancun which we didn't use. Other notes This resort is new, looks amazing, and does indeed live up to the photos posted by management. This resort is definitely suited for a group looking to party. I still enjoyed myself and met a variety of people that were there to relax and party. The resort is relatively big and we had to plan trips back to our room to go for lunch if we were in the pool because you couldn't be in a wet swimsuit, this can be avoided if you bring a change of clothes to the pool.

Riu Palace Aruba: Riu Palace Aruba stay 7 fays

Hotel needs upgrades. Room was not satisfactory. Breakfast/ lunch was good. Dinners horrible. We ended up going out for dinner because food quantity and wait was terrible. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Beaches are beautiful. Pool was okay. Lots of people at pool bar throwing their cups in pool causing hazards. Need staff in pool cleaning up cups, and mint from people’s mojito drinks. Overall 4 out of 10 for resort and 9 out of 10 for Sunwing Airlines

Riu Republica: Riu Republica

Great party resort, food not so good. Basic resort, good for the money if you get it at a discount. Lot's of young adults always looking to party. Food very basic, nothing in the late night. Room very basic, sometimes ac not good. Overall good for young adults with little finance available. Mexico better option.

Riu Latino: Great resort

This hotel was very clean, staff always cleaning public areas. Public washrooms ones of the cleanest I’ve seen on a resort. Pools were also very clean. Water slides were amazing, and so much fun. Beautiful beach, but the sand was very hot from the extremely hot weather. We spent a lot of time in the ocean, so refreshing. The bedrooms were very spacious and clean. I did however had to call front desk three days in a row, because house keeping kept leaving me only one wash cloth and towel when [... read more] there were 3 of us in a room. By day three of complaining, they got it right.( this honestly is the only negative thing). Food was good, no one will ever go hungry, you will always find something you like. All staff were so friendly, but a lot of them didn’t not speak or understand English very well, but they still tried their best to communicate with you. Some even had google translate which was amazing. Oh, another negative was the Michael Jackson show. The worst show. I usually enjoy every Michael Jackson show, but this was terrible. Michael impersonator wore a black track pants with white stripe down side for the entire show. The only move he did well was the moon walk. All other shows were amazing. Manager at the swim up bar was amazing, he went above and beyond to make sure his guests were happy. Making special drinks was also a bonus. Night club needs to change up music, by playing a mixture of music and not just techno. Some Reggae or even salsa music would be nice.

Riu Dunamar: Rio Dunamar was good! Sun Wing has no customer service!

Sun Wing has no empathy toward their client! No respect what so ever! Delayed over 1 full day departing. No explanation no excuse from Sun Wing staff! Return flight was the same, delayed, unable to get any information from Sun Wing! Only able to get AI answering the phone - runaround!!! Trying to get compensation from them - Mechanical issues so they don't have to pay, is their go to excuse!

Riu Republica: Great times!

RIU Republica was great. Definitely a good party vibe if that is what you are looking for. There are quiet areas too. Food was pretty good. Recommend the Indian restaurant! Room was a bit run down but that is what you get in places like this. Otherwise clean.

Riu Santa Fe: Great vacation

The resort was amazing! The special room I needed was available upon arrival which was great. Check in was smooth. I am very satisfied with my trip. Riu Sante Fe is a beautiful big resort with lots of amenities.
