Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Great hotel

The Riu Palace is a lovely hotel Believe only opened in the last 3 years .The rooms were large and the ocean view rooms were offering a great view . Swim up rooms looked interesting but likely not necessary. The public pools were great . Two swim up bars and other pools were very large. Lots of area for kids to play separate from the adults The beach and sand were beautiful love sailing although only one boat. They used fixed rates and charge by the person. 4 people to the middle of Cancun. $60 US . Could cost more coming back . Excursions were all typical of the Mayan region. Take a trip to Isla de Mujeres and rent golf carts for the day four people $100

Riu Dunamar: Amazing resort

Rooms clean and good service Amazing place and i will recommend this nice hotel resort to my friends and my relativls the wheather was amazing 👏 . And I would like to visit the same resort. Thank you so much

Riu Caribe Cancun: Would not go back

The hotel was a very clean, but the staff was not very nice. We found them very rude and VERY disorganized. A lot of Amenities were not available for usage either. Our room was on the first floor, and very loud at night time as well it seemed that construction was happening and started around 7am. Room change was not available as per the staff, the hotel was booked solid. Restaurant booking's were very hard to get and found ourselves having to eat at the buffet all the time. The 24hr sports [... read more] bar had only pre-made sandwiches that were picked through by other guests and no alcoholic beverages were served past 12pm. No premium alcohol selection. The beach was clean, but there was no entertainment. Would not go back to this resort, very disappointed.

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Super resort!

The resort was beautiful - well maintained, clean, and attentive to ensuring patrons felt safe with regard to Covid. Staff were helpful and friendly and at the ready to make our stay the best. The beach was expansive (especially when compared to neighbouring resorts and their beachfronts). The pools and deck spaces accommodated everyone safely with needed social distancing as well. We enjoyed every moment of our stay!

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Little things add up to a disappointment

Breaking out of our Covid shell, we risked a trip to Cancun. It was fabulous! Lots of red tape and documentations as expected- but the sun and ocean were worth it. As far as Planet Hollywood goes- too many little annoying things resulted in me not returning. The staff was absolutely great. Standard rooms were lovely and spacious. BUT: - Lining up for a la carte restaurants (1-2hrs)not my idea of a night out. ( if you were in Diamond/ All star club you could make a reservation) So their †[... read more]˜first-come-first -served’ format was awful. - Not all restaurants were open every day and a few were only available to the higher paying customers. -the buffet was alright but at least 1/3 was Mexican food. Also, it as the same every night. -when going to eat, it wasn’t enough to give your room number and say your name, you had to spell it out! Unfortunately mine is a long hyphenated one. -entertainment??none really So…. It was just too many little things that irritated us. Things that I didn’t find at other resorts. If nothing bothers you… then this place is fine. It’s said to be 4.5 stars and that’s what you pay for but don’t get. -

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort

We went to the Majestic Costa Mujeres for 2 weeks returning Feb 14. The resort was beautiful , people amazing , beach big and clean , food really good . Masks were mandatory to enter restaurants and when up to use the buffets . Every staff member inside and out were masked at all times . About 50% of vacationers wore them in the lobby . They encourage social distancing but vacationers did not always comply . We felt very safe and didn’t worry at all about getting covid . Riu Dunamar: Nothing But Praise!

This resort is amazing. Every encounter with the staff was pleasant! (Note that it matters to me, but every employee, without exception, wore their masks 100% of the time. Even the lifeguard sitting alone). The grounds and the buildings are immaculate. Food was great! This is one place that we said we would actually go back to.

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Very nice resort

Restaurants Enough to choose from, available although we were in star class and the butler made reservations. Dervice was generally fine. Rooms Spacious, great beds, all amenities, cleaned daily although sometimes the cleaning was suspect. Switches and air conditioning are supposed to be ecological. At times the AC seemed to be never on and at times you couldn’t find which light switches turned things on or off. Beach Absolutely beautiful sand and water. Very little washed up seaweed on  [... read more]any given day. Service/people We purchased star class which gave us butler service. This ws invaluable when used correctly. Don’t waist their time for us etc. these people and the general resort staff were excellent. Resort condition Generally, it is in good shape, but considering it is only a year old you wonder how long it will last. Doors didn’t shut, decor needed correcting/fixing as did many parts around the resort. I guess them being a year late to open and in a pandemic, it is better to open with 500,000 a day income and fix as they go, than to wait until things are perfect. Check in was easy The wrust bands we really liked as the enterance to your room.

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: GREAT - NOT SUPER GREAT

For a one year old resort it missed the mark in several areas. The swim ups had barriers which blocked out the sun (who needs them at all!). We were side-by-side at the pools. The swim ups at Azul Sensatori Cancun are by far the best in the Mayan - you are served on your patio! Swim up cleaners could also get to all sides of the swim up at Azul easily while algae was on the inner walls at your resort. Ran out of premium Star Class Tequila frequently (except for the best servers who would [... read more] ensure it was around for my friend & I). A better system for restaurants as we always made reservations but were made to stay in line past our requested time? Why not two lines or so other form of control? Kinda beat up for a 1 year old resort! WE HAD A GREAT TIME DESPITE ANY FLAWS!!!

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort!

Friendliest resort we’ve been to. Easy to get around. There were always chairs and day beds available by the pool, and we never had to wait to be seated at any of the restaurants. The view from building 1 is a little rough(undeveloped), but we could see the ocean, which more than made up for that.

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Luxury!

A smaller boutique resort, Beloved Playa Mujeres offered us a quiet escape to a beautiful beach, gourmet meals, luxury accommodation and excellent service. Thanks to our Trip Central representative Sue Snider, our covid concerns were met with distanced outdoor dining, no crowds (barely noticed anybody else in the resort!) and staff who were always masked and following proper covid precautions. We took advantage of a beach front casita with a rooftop pool just to be safe, but the main pool areas [... read more] and beach were very well spaced and no groupings were evident. Beloved Playa Mujeres offered a quiet, pampered retreat for couples to relax at, be pampered and recharge in total luxury. Thanks Sue!

TRS Coral: very nice resort

Great beach (very long and wide with no venders) , fabulous rooms, amazing food including beach/pool snacks, incredible large well equipped gym, unbelievable spa and very good service. That said, it didn't have much of a Mexican cultural feel but more of a Las Vegas style feel.

Riu Palace Las Americas: Beautiful resort

The hotel, food and staff were all wonderful. Only thing I would improve on is to add a couple of bathrooms by the pools and the ocean. One set of bathrooms in the resort is not enough. I'm sure people were using the pools or the ocean instead. Everyone observed the wearing of the masks in the resort so we felt safe and did not fear catching the COVID. A visit to the Coco Bongo is a must ! It was unfortunate that the flights from North Bay and Sudbury were all cancelled. As a result we had to drive to Toronto and change our flight. Overall a great place to enjoy Mexico.

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Incredible Resort

The Beloved hotel is part of the Excellence chain of hotels. It’s a boutique hotel with approximately 109 rooms. From the minute we arrived at the hotel to our departure, we couldn’t have asked for more from the staff of this resort. The safety precautions and protocols in place were to our satisfaction, Staff wear masks at all times and Purell is available everywhere especially as you enter any of their restaurants and common areas. This is our third vacation to the Beloved hotel and we did not see any difference. A Covid test is available at the hotel for a fee of $90.00 US. It was done efficiently and only took 10 minutes at most to complete the procedure. Until Covid 19 ceases to be a treat to our health, we will continue to go to Beloved and forego the larger resorts,

Grand Oasis Cancun: Nice Beach

If you are going for beach, sun, some drink, some food etc. it’s perfectly fine. You often read the odd review and it’s so dependent upon the a hole that is writing the review. If you want luxury and the best of everything this place is not for you. You wanna get away for 4 or 5 days it’s good enough. Any all inclusive much longer is redundant as far as I’m concerned.

Hotel itself is nice, rooms are great ( no bathtub tho and not many room have a view of the ocean) i found the food quality in some restaurants lacking esp the mexican and seafood restaurants the indian one was great and buffet breakfast was also decent with lots of food options. Found service to also be lacking. Very easy to book covid tests. Clinic right on the resort just go your fist day to make an appointment which can easily be changed if needed. No line ups $90 US per test - hotel is nort [... read more]h of hotel zone so it takes 45min longer each way when going on tours. the hotel seems to be trying to compare to the Hard Rock and has the potential but they need to step up service and food quality - also if you are on the family side even if you are an adult you cant use adult pool or if you want to go to their restaurant ( brazilian and seafood ) you have to pay $20 each . This is just stingy. Every other resort i e been to kets you freely use the amenities and restaurants of both and even go to their sister resorts. The lazy river is great. They even have a bar in a cave so you dont have to get out of your tube to get a drink It was still a nice resort overall and had a nice time

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort - amazing staff!!

Beautiful resort. Extremely well maintained and the landscaping is lush and gorgeous. The staff everywhere were so amazing- friendly and helpful and couldn’t be more accommodating and all of them made our trip even better. Shout out to Lydia and Nataly at Oceans, Mario at El Patio , Susie at the pool and Martha our Concierge. All the ladies in the coffee shop were top-shelf. Jesus of the entertainment staff was energetic and lovely. But all the staff everywhere were amazing and are def [... read more]initely the strength of the entire resort. Restaurants were excellent- lots of choices and the quality was very good and delicious. We went to all except Bordeaux as the menu choices didn’t appeal to us however others said they loved it. We also went to the Brazilian next door at Dreams which we thought was just ok, and the Mediterranean at Dreams which was excellent. Mexican Night food was amazing and the entertainment spectacular- we were able to go twice as we were there ten days and we were so happy we did. The cocktails in general were good and generous but extremely sweet. They don’t use real fruit juice which would have made the drinks amazing We were Preferred Club which was worth the money for us - we did Preferred club breakfast at Oceania half of our mornings which was also excellent with the most beautiful view. And checkin and checkout was fast and effortless. Our room was sparkling clean every day and turn-down service was excellent. Plenty of towels and toiletries daily. The beach is pristine with the soft white sand and gorgeous water entry. Several of the restaurants and the gym and lobby are located in a different area of the resort but they have several golf carts running back and forth constantly so waits are minimal - but it’s a 5 minute walk which is a perfect opportunity to stretch your legs between meals and cocktails. We found the hot tubs in the pool area sometimes got very busy / crowded and loud which took away from our peaceful times - however there are others locations away from them , including the beach. We would go again and would recommend it to our friends and family.

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Amazing Experience

The resort is clean and very well maintained. Food was delicious! I highly recommend The Lobster House for breakfast and lunch. The views were amazing to have any meal here! The staff truly made our experience a great one!

NYX Hotel Cancun: Very nice resort

It is a very beautiful resort. Booked a ‘regular’ room and we were offered an upgrade when we arrived. We looked at the room we booked first. It was a small dark room (no windows) a double bed and a dresser. Needless to say we took the upgrade. We were then moved to a beautiful suite. We had a living room, separate bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a wonderful balcony. The hotel staff were following a strict covid protocol. I appreciated that this resort only has 1 buffet and that’s for breakfast. All restaurants are sit down with wait staff. We went to the Italian restaurant and it was fine. However Umami (the Japanese restaurant) was amazing. However it is important to note this resort is NOT accessible. It was 51 stairs between our room and the pool. There are more stairs to the beach

Occidental Tucancun: I would love to come again!!

The hotel is clean and has a great location. All personal is very friendly and polite. All meals are excellent. All 3 pools are very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed a lot of every minute. I would love to come back!
