Samba Vallarta: Nice, laid back resort.

Comfortable surroundings, very friendly staff. An altogether great atmosphere. Great food, good variety. Good beach with palapas for shade. Great pool for kids. Good entertainment in the evening. Rooms need updating.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Positives and Negatives

Hello, We stayed in room 1159 for two weeks, checking out January 23rd. The cost to us was over $5,000 for the WestJet vacation. The following will offer both positive & critical opinions. Positive Comments: The strongest ambassadors the resort has is the staff. They are fabulous, in the restaurants, bars, maids & even your maintenance staff. The facilities are also very good. Critical Comments: Our experience with both check in and check out was poor and upsetting. The up sell pressure after a long day of travel is not appreciated. While checking out, I was accused of not paying a charge for a beer in Bambu. Not true as I had paid cash the previous evening to a male staff member. Unfortunately, they have either a thief or an incompetent person in that role. The food quality overall was inconsistent from day to day. Also, the question of guests being able to make a reservation at an al a carte restaurant is a huge problem. Those few who can make a reservation walk past those who cannot, which is the bulk of the guests. This creates bad feelings and a sense of a two tier level of guests. There is an issue at the adult pool with guests reserving their lounges with towels and then leaving them for hours or most of the day. However, your security staff began removing the guests stuff after 30 minutes. That too, is unfair. Just getting lunch takes longer than 30 minutes, for example. We met a couple who had $250 US stolen from their safe. That is troubling as they have some thieves employed. Too bad, as the majority of the staff is super friendly and helpful. Melia Puerto Vallarta: Great Resort!

We really enjoyed our 1 week stay at this hotel. Check in was a breeze and our rooms were ready when we arrived at 1pm. Rooms were very clean but a tad outdated. The hotel has a very good lay out. The A La Carte Restaurants were very easy to find since they were close together and the pool area was situated in the center of lunch restaurant and bars. The beach was very nice but the people walking by every 5 min to sell stuff got a little annoying after a while. The Melia also had someone on the  [... read more]beach taking drink orders constantly which was very convenient. We also went to the spa for a massage. Love the spa area. It's like a hidden little world on its own. As for the food, I would give it a 4 out of 5. Italian was the BEST A La Carte place and the buffet had a good selection of breakfast and dinner options. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Pleasantly surprised

Everything was very nice. Clean resort, food was very good, staff very accommodating. Excellent location. Evening shows/entertainment staff were very good. Beach was adequate. Excellent time there.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Excellent resort

Let's see where to begin. Check in was good. They explained everything and even got us into one of the a la carte's for dinner that night. Room huge and beautiful. Everything designed with comfort in mind. Tried to make reservations in the a la carte's, most nights were booked but we were still able to get into all four. Excellent meals. Resort in a good area for going into to town by cab. Buffet on the Hacienda adults only side for breakfast was good. Do wish it had been open for dinner al [... read more]so. Poolside restaurant meals were great. Service was top notch especially by waiter our Franciscoi. The only thing that was lacking were the amount of chairs everywhere. Poolside lounge chairs were taken by 8 am with towels if though there were signs on them that you could not reserve them. Had a excellent time. Would we return yes, in a heart beat.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Fantastic Place

This was one of the best resorts that i have visited, The food was great,staff very friendly,rooms always clean. Great entertainment,lots of shops on site.Thanks to Karol for recommending this resort.

Crown Paradise Club: Second Time around

This was our second time at this resort. Food was MUCH better this time around I would have to say. But one thing we really missed was the lady walking around with the hawk to scare all the pigeons and blackbirds away from the food tables. Weather was fantastic, as usual, the vendors walk by but all you have to say is "no gracious" and they left you alone. Beach chairs were easy to find every morning or pool loungers. LOTS of entertainment, and if you have kids they won't leave the kids pool!  [... read more]We stayed at the adult pool side. It is rated 4 stars and I would say it's a SOLID 4 stars! This was our 14 All Inclusive.

Riu Flamingos: Very good resort.

Food was good, sometimes luck of tea spoons and longer periods for waiting for table making. Rooms were in good shape and room cleanness.Wish the steaks were thicker and done fresh. Wish the servie crew at dinning were more quiet.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great resort

My husband and I found the resort very clean, staff was very friendly and always ready to help if you needed anything. Food was good. The only thing that needs improvement is to let people know that the resort is on a cliff and that there are lots of steps.

Tropicana Hotel: Great location, but that's it!

Bit of a bait and switch as what you've booked may end up being a very old, unacceptable, unrenovated unit on the second floor, or a very small unit with no balcony facing the street (versus the bay and a nice room). The place is a basic - 3* and could be a lot better with just a little bit of upgrading and support from the family ownership/management group. Staff try their best with what they have to work with.

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Family friendly

Lots for kids to do, Kids club has a good variety of crafts, games, shows. good variety of food, average food, room was not the cleanest. Service was average nothing above and beyond. Could not book the restaurants as they were all full for the week!

Riu Palace Pacifico: Best Resort Yet!

The Riu Palace in Nuevo Vallarta was outstanding. We got there on January 10th and stayed one week. We have been to many all inclusive in Mexico but this hotel was the best. I have never seen such a clean resort. The bathrooms were always being cleaned and I loved the private enclosed stalls in all their bathrooms. We booked a jr suite with garden view and ended up in room 8008 top floor with a great partial view of the ocean. The food at the buffet was absolutely the best we have ever enjoyed!! [... read more] Sea food in abundance for hubby and always a huge variety of other choices from lamb, beef, chicken and even turkey dinner. It was nice to go to the steak house and Krystal restaurants to be waited on, the food was ok but we did not care for the mexican or japanese restaurants. If you don't get in on the first seating they give you a buzzer and it alerts you when they have a table for you. No reservations required. BBQ lunch around the pool daily and menu changed daily..just a little late around 1-2pm. The live entertainment before and after the 9:00 shows were really great too, piano guy before and a live band after. If you want to party hard stay at the Jalisco. You can use their resort and the Vallarta as well but we never needed to, other than to use the washrooms on our walk on the amazing beach that goes on forever. This resort is a little more upscale. Mostly age 30 and up I would say. This is the first Mexican resort we could enjoy a nice glass of white wine. It was a Chardonnay but not too oaky. Make sure to ask for the Linjoi wine as it was the best. We ordered room service which is included and it was quick too. Top shelf alcohol everywhere. I drank Don Julio from dark bottle most of the time and the servers are fantastic. Be sure to tip them as that is how they make most of their income. We had a small incident with our room upon arrival that was taken care of quickly and they sent us up a delicious tray of chocolates. We especially appreciated Noeh in the Lobby lounge in the evening as he learned how to make a special martini drink we explained to him and every time we walked in he started making it and the server Jenny at the lounge was also always so pleasant and attentive. Also Geeser at the pool bar remembers everything you order and how to make it just the way you like it. The only thing I would suggest is that they have an adult only area at the pool and another washroom closer to the beach. Also a non smoking area around the pool or a designated smoking area would have been nice too, as some people are just ignorant with their lack of manners regarding the smoke. Great vacation overall. We will be going back!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Excellent Resort

Everything was great about this hotel, so many food options, great staff and clean rooms always. The staff live to make you happy and the nightly entertainment was incredible. They always put on an amazing show.

Riu Flamingos: Awesome resort

This is our third time at Riu Jalisco. We really enjoyed our week long stay. The only thing we’d change is to heat the pools. They are freezing cold! We went to the Riu Vallarta to see friends and their pools are so much warmer. Food is excellent and the staff are so friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Awesome!

this was our first time at this resort. We found at the resort was very pleasing to look at. The staff was very friendly. The food was very good. The rooms were clean and updated. We were with a group of 23 people. I would definitely recommend this resort

Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Resort

A little on the older side, but clean and comfortable. Lots of pools, bars and restaurants - no waiting for anything. Close walk to Bucerias for great restaurants, entertainment, beach bars and more

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Best for Families

Definitely no more than a 3 star. A little old, a little tired, but a great beach. The accommodations are comfortable for sleeping and the view from building 9 Oceanside is amazing. The food leaves a lot to be desired...same every meal and they need a new chef. Pasta and rice are mushy, vegetables are crunchy and they don't have bacon or sausage, etc. at breakfast. We ate off the resort a lot since the bus was .50 cents to get to old town or other places fairly quickly. Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: So so Resort

This hotel needs a major update. The location is great. Close to some amazing restaurants. The pool and chairs need to be cleaner and updated. Please update your entertainment programs.The sound system is incredibly loud and play the same music over and over😩

Riu Flamingos: Great resort perfect for families

Was a great place to stay , not one issue with this resort . Would definitely recommend this place for people with kids. Staff was great friendly and service was above average. Food was fantastic choices were abundant
