Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great resort plenty to do beautiful location

Very nice and well maintained resort with an excellent staff. The food is good with plenty of choice. The beach is very pleasant but the surf can get rough at times. There were plenty of people snorkeling but I don't so can't comment on how good the view is. Lot's of entertainment and activities and kids seemed to be having lots of fun. Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Think Twice

This hotel was not at all what I expected. I chose an adult resort because I wanted peace and a little maturity, but that was not at all what I experienced. The most irksome issue was the smoking (both cigarettes and cigars), which people partook in recklessly and ubiquitously- perhaps because it was an adult resort and they felt it fine to inundate adults with second-hand smoke. We would be in the dining room and smell cigar smoke (there was a gentleman who sold cigars right outside the dining  [... read more]hall and constantly smoked his product- advertising it, perhaps?) as well as cigarette smoke. As a result of the unceasing second-hand smoke, I could not participate in any of the entertainment events as the smoke chased me away. When I finally complained on the last night as I wanted to catch at least one show before leaving, I was told that there were non-smoking areas. When I asked where these areas were, they said "any indoor space." I replied that it was a resort and that there weren't any real indoor spaces except the bedrooms. The dining hall, though roofed, was an open area. I felt very limited in what I could do and enjoy and opted just for walking on the beach, which was nice but not worth the price I paid for this trip.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: What a great places to relax ?

This hotel has everything anyone could ever want. Great pool side sever provided by Nelis and Ismael also Angle and Jean. They really took care of us. Our butler Nelson did a great job at taking cake of all our needs. Overall this resort is a definitely a return place.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Overall good resort

Bahia principe Aquamarine is part of a complex of resorts. The buffet was largely catered to the US cuisine with fresh eggs counter at breakfast- Irene was great! Rooms were a 3/5. However, you don't go there to stay in the rooms. The bathrooms don't have anywhere for humidity to go- so be prepared for that. Dinners: You have to reserve your dinners at the restaurant ahead of time or you will get a 10 Pm slot. We tried the Mexican 2/5- themed service was bad. They forgot our food and we wa [... read more]ited for about 49 Minutes while others who came after us were served and offered drinks. The Japanese restaurant was the best.4/5, el Olivia Italian was ok, the salmon appetizer was the best, tuna not so much. 3/5 Be prepared for your orders to get mixed up a bit. Entertainment was really good. The pools were 5/5, away from the party scene at Bahia Punta Cana which you can access (family resort- too chaotic for us) You don't have access to Ambar, however I wouldn't pay more for this adult resort. You have to walk through this to get to the beach or take the tram which is every few minutes Drinks - G&T and mango daiquiri were the best. Local beer is light. Avoid the house red wine/ in this heat, it will taste like vinegar.

There is a reason why this resort gets a 5 Star Rating, the resort is amazing! Can’t say enough about the experience from beginning to end! Glad I choose this resort for my Dominican Republic vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Absolutely Amazing!

We are so pleased we chose to book an early Christmas vacation to Bahia Principe Luxary Ambar Punta Cana on Dec. 14th with Air Canada. It was everything we hoped for plus more. Decorations were impeccible. The attention, friendliness and knowledge of staff were unforgettable. The main buffet and La Brisa was always well stocked with delicious options. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Too bad for the price they charge

Bad service. When you have a complaint about the service they say’ no hablo ingles”. There was no fish in the menu, nor beef. Only pork. Barely any passion fruits. Dirty. Plates are made of plastic; glasses are made of plastic too. The room was clean; however we found 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. The beach was so so dirty: seaweed was removed from the shore only 2x in 7 days, there was plastic in the water, boats were too close to the beach- it smelled like gasoline and it blocked the view

TRS Turquesa: Great experience

All aspects of the hotel were very good - cleanliness, food, rooms, staff and support. Sargassum / seaweed was plentiful on the beach, cleanup crews struggled to keep up. May be due to prevailing winds for the winter season (Dec 2025).

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Wonderful time, wonderful memories!

Stayed at Dreams Cap Cana for the Christmas holidays and to celebrate a birthday! Family of 7. The resort was a dream. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, the grounds and the overall esthetics of the resort. Food was good. Restaurants should have hours displayed as they didn’t follow what was detailed in the app. A lot of the staff did not speak or understand English, which would be the only negative. And the beach. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great Family Decompression Vacay

Loved the rooms (had swim up suites) and the friendliness of the staff. The suites are large, clean and nicely spaced out. There is a ton of seating so even though it was a busy time (December school break) there was always a lounger available. There are a lot of bars and the bartenders are entertaining and eager to serve. The food at the steakhouse and fine dining was the best. We used the spa and really enjoyed the hydrotherapy with our group and played a round of golf that was fun as well. Entertainment was available every evening and that was good amusement. Our first time at the resort and will visit again.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great resort

The grounds of this resort are beautiful and very clean. Smaller resort with great staff. Food is very good and the alacartes are amazing. Very safe and can walk to a small mall at the road at end of resort. Only thing that I would suggest is they have 4 tables and chairs outside the buffet it would be nice to add at least 8 more table and chairs to sit and have a drink in the open air if you did not want to see the shows. .

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: The worst resort I have been

This resort is maybe two star and only because of the staff the service desk, the waitress bartender, they did an excellent job The resort itself falling apart the rooms are not in a shape to stay in. The food is always cold. Never been heated right Think twice if you wanna go there

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Needs a lot of improvements

A/C leaking Paint peeling off on the inside of bathtub String for hanging wet bathing suits missing Toilet clogged and leaking Some rooms are missing art on walls Fridges get refilled with beer on some days but not daily Housekeeping takes the towels away at 9am, doesn't bring new ones until 2 hours or so later. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food, entertainment, and overall atmosphere were excellent, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our experience very enjoyable. The only small downside was the bar, which could use more staff and glassware. At times, proper glasses ran out, and being served a beer in a small juice glass wasn’t ideal. The entertainment team was outstanding, and Aries truly deserves special mention. It was amazing to watch my son participate in volleyball, bocce, and Zumba alongside guests who didn’t even speak English. Aries’ kindness, energy, and genuine enthusiasm created unforgettable memories for our family. He is a true asset to the resort.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: For the Money.......Great resort

We have been going to the Casa Marine for 6 years & over all are quite satisfied. Food iis good & we find the staff excellent. When booking this year we requested a bottom floor unit as we are seniors & are having a little difficulty managing the stairs. On arriving they had us placed in a different building then requested but also on the third floor. If requests from the agency's are ignored why waste time making them. Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Great beach and locatiom

Our room was in the newer section and very nice. The resort was well maintained and nicely decorated for Christmas. There were some minor shortcomings; sun loungers had no cushions, towels and sheets all looked grey, food and drink quality was inconsistent. We enjoyed ourselves very much and the price was great so we would recommend.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Enjoyable Week

Enjoyed most aspects of this hotel. The food sometimes could have been better. Roast pork, beef, and lamb at the buffets was disappointingly tough and dry. A couple of the specialty restaurants weren’t great.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing trip

The trip was great and the staff was so friendly and helpful and we will definitely be going back. Bahai Príncipe Luxury Ámbar In Punta Cana.i was so impressed I am taking my sister and niece there in April 2026.
