Ocean Riviera Paradise: Lovely resort, great for family’s

Love this resort. There was so much to do, never bored. Had a club on the resort that we had no idea about as it wasn’t really advertised. They had a restaurant that was open 24/7 which was nice after the bar. Yummy food, good drinks. I would highly recommend xplor fuego excursion!! ATV, night zipline, caves exploring. Resturaunts at the resort has great food. Apppetizer, dinner and dessert. 5stars. So far the best all inclusive resort I’ve been to. Very helpful staff for the most part. Only downfall was all the walking, they had a shuttle that would take you back and forth but there is only one running and takes forever to wait for it so we just walked. If you don’t want to do a lot of walking, I would recommend the daisy or adults only hotels as they are closer to most of the entertainment. We stayed in the eden hotel which was closer to the beach but far from everything else. Overall we had an amazing time and would strongly reccomend visiting this resort!!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Awesome resort!

Food was awesome! Rooms were great! Best stretch of beach meaning they maintained their part of the beach the best plus their part of the beach had the best sand too ! Hardly any rocks all fine sand! The grounds were well kept as was the pools always kept clean! Staff very friendly and helpful!

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Beautiful Resort

This is our second time visiting the Iberostar property but our first staying at the Grand Paraiso. It was absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing both at the buffet and the restaurants. The grounds were kept immaculately. The infinity pool was our second home and the bartenders at the swim up bar were amazing, always willing to create new drinks. It was my birthday while I was there and they brought me a special dessert at dinner. The maid also decorated our bed with rose petals and a "towe [... read more]l cake". The Butler, Jesus left a chilled bottle of champagne for us. We will be back !

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great value for the money

You can't find a better value for a vacation.Great service, great a la carte restaurants, drink service on the beach, and a great adult hotel.Good selection of quality liquors. You wouldn't be disappointed if you book this hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Good resort and great value!

This resort is well tended, rooms are very clean, service is great. There are always tons of selections at the buffet, though it does tend to get repetitive with only a couple things changing each night for a theme, but you will not go hungry there that's for sure. We found a-la-cartes a little difficult to get in, either only availability being way too early ie 5:00 or way too late at 10:00 and we were only a group of 6. We only were able to book one together at our arrival. Beaches are no [... read more]t comparable to what we are used to in other parts of the Caribbean, rocky and man made in some cases. We were originally in building 37, top floor, but the air conditioning unit for the building is housed on the roof and we had to move for the noise. They were very accommodating though, Ricardo in the Silver Lounge and even at the main reception area. If you don't mind big resorts (as with all the Grand Bahia's) then I would recommend overall. One tip, you can purchase WiFi for the entire week - not just in the lobby areas at a cost of $9USD, which we did for both our devices, well worth it, had WiFi on the beach even.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Didn't meet my expectations

I went with high expectations for this hotel given it was a 5 star. The room was exactly like the picture, which was great. Service was good (usual nothing out of the world, great service in Mexico for sure) and the facilities looked like the pictures advertised. What I didn't like about the resort was the pool area. I didn't upgrade to the VIP section of the hotel, which they say is better. There was NEVER space available. Guests would actually wake up at 6am, leave their towels on a chair a [... read more]nd do their thing. It was REALLY frustrating. I also wasn't too impressed with the buffet. I liked the Cafe they had. I was happy to learn that they have vegan alternatives for dairy. At the buffet, I felt a bit limited. The "freshness" of the food is what I was most looking forward to, but I wasn't too impressed with the variety. I didn't try the restaurants - but people did enjoy them. Options were limited for vegetarians really. The buffet had more. I felt that (obviously) the hotel was all about presentation vs. solid quality. The gift shop = RIDICULOUSLY expensive. $7.00 for a lighter? absolutely ridiculous. Again, the hotel was VERY lovely, really nice and clean amenities. But, I'd be just fine with a 4 star - it wasn't really what I was looking for.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Amazing and fun resort

It was beautiful, I was traveling alone and I’m so glad I picked Grand Oasis Cancun. All staff were very friendly, and the people there were awesome! I met so many people it was a blast. The parties were fun and they got me out of my comfort zone! Would definitely stay there again

Riu Palace Peninsula: Great resort

We had a great time at the resort. Staff was fantastic and the food was excellent. I would come back in a heart beat. It was close to the main strip which was great. The isla mujeras island ferry is a 2 minute walk from the resort. Great location!

Riu Emerald Bay: Clean

Hotel was great, very clean & accommodating. Great food and lots of variety to choose from to eat. Huge hotel, only a couple complaints, the elevators were very sketchy, as in they always felt like they were going to break down, also the girl at the front desk did not speak English, I just think if you are on the front desk you should know both Spanish & English. Ocean was clean as was the beach, the pools were disgusting, there was a floating poop the one morning & the next day there was a dirt [... read more]y diaper so we never went in the pools. Also there was a competition of bands on the public beach every day from 4pm -12am. I know the hotel can't control this because its the public beach but they have to do something about it, we paid a lot of money to sit & hear the ocean and could not as the noise from the trumpets & tubas canceled out the noise of the water. The actual town of Mazatlan was very safe & so exploring in town was nice.

Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette: They do it right

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect, the reception, the staff, very well maintained rooms, lots of activity with even there own phone app so you know what is happening as entertainment, activities and restaurants. Another plus is the number of a la carte restaurants that you can book all in advance without any waiting lines. exceptional meals every day, did not use the buffet once except for breakfast. We stayed on the family side of the resort but enjoyed all the activities and me [... read more]als on the adult only side. At first we were concerned about the noise but actually way better than on the adult side as kids are usually in bed early versus the parties on the adult side that can go all night as they do host 1 or 2 weeding's a day. the only regret is that the beach has suffered from the weather and was not great to swim, the hotel had an army of employees trying to keep it clean of sea weeds but its tuff to beat mother nature

Barcelo Huatulco: Repeat....little disappointed this time.

Hotel greeting & check in great, fast & efficient. However did not room type we requested, had to go back to reception, just a pain, not what you want to do when you arrive. We did get a room change, thanks to Cosetta. No free internet unless you were a premium guest. Kind of felt second rate, had paid for deluxe, but it meant nothing. Same with drinks. Food at buffet was not hot, lukewarm at best & sometimes cold. We did notice hotter food our last night. Only went to Italian restauran [... read more]t, had to line up each day to book the restaurants at 9 AM. Unless you premium, you could book anytime. Pool good, lots of chairs & could usually find some shade. Beach, very nice, lots of chairs & palapas. Water very rough, black flag one day. Ok resort, but will not be returning, previous visit we did not feel second rate, but we sure did this time.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort...amazing staff

This was our second time visiting this resort and we just love it. Food is great staff is great...clean amenities everything was great. Only complaint is the ocean is on limestone so you gotta be careful to not hurt yourself getting in and out. But it's still a beautiful beach.

Occidental Cozumel: Not a 4+ Star - Needs improvement on the food.

The Occidental Cozumel is a very lush and beautiful resort. The grounds and rooms were beautiful. My husband and I upgraded to the Royal Rooms before our arrival, and the room was excellent with comfortable beds. However, the food in the buffet could be greatly improved.The a la carte restaurants were fine, however, nothing was outstanding. As this resort has been taken over by the Barcelo Group, the Occidental Cozumel should communicate with the Barcelo in the Mayan on how to improve the select [... read more]ion and quality of food offered. In my opinion, it should not be rated a 4+ Star, as the food needs some major improvements.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: A wonderful stay at the beach of San Jose del Cabo

We went with a group of seven people. The Royal Decameron is a perfect hotel for a group of people. It is easy to find places on the beach or by the pool to settle in for the day. It is within walking distance of a small town that provides art shows and music, and it is about a half hour bus ride to the larger city of Los Cabos. The food in the main eating is really good and varies considerably from day to day. The food in the Luna Restaurant was just okay. Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Amazing time

I really loved this resort the staff was amazing! It was nice you didn’t have to wear wrist bands. And you got unlimited anything anywhere. It was nice they had an adult only pool. I really didn’t wanna hear screaming kids all day! All the food was amazing my fav was the sushi place. The only down side was my room had a lot of things that where broken. Other than that it was amazing and I would go back!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Colorful Resort and not just the Iguanas

Loved the exterior colors of the buildings. Aztec Blue. Xihuacan Orange. Red. Purple. Royal Decameron Complex is the first all-inclusive resort in our experience where one is able to enjoy a specialty restaurant as often as one likes, as opposed to other resorts where one may book a specialty restaurant just once or twice per visit. Our favorite was Piccolos. The buffet selections are very good, as well. The grounds are well cared-for, the pools clean. Our room was clean, the bed was c [... read more]omfortable, hot water was adequate, and our request for a mini-fridge was answered promptly. The resort can be a bit noisy at night, depending on where one's room is located. The theatre sound is aimed into the complex. Our room was near wedding celebrations at one end of the building and another entertainment stage by a pool area at the other. The nightly theatrical shows were generally good although we found the dance routines repetitive and the strobing lights effects very distracting. The emcee was a bit over the top. He talked too fast and too much.

Moon Palace Cancun: Beach unusable but the Pool and Kids Activities are amazing

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The resort is huge and I didn't like how far our room was from the main building. The beach was unusable too much seaweed to walk or swim. The pool, playroom, wave runner surfing and the water slides for the kids were excellent. The food was the best I've ever had at an all inclusive (I've been to many in my time). We were tricked into taking a tour of the Grand Moon Palace with promise of free golf clubs. This turned out to be a time share [... read more] pitch. This took 3 hours of our day and the sales people were aggressive. I hated every minuet of the tour/presentation and they didn't end up honoring the free golf clubs. STAY AWAY from the Grand tour. The kids and our family enjoyed the vacation. If you are a beach family this is not the place for you. If your kids love activities and sports and you want good food this is a perfect spot.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Beautiful Resort!!

We upped our budget for this trip to try Secrets and we were not disappointed!! Our room was spacious, the grounds were beautiful and the dining experiences exceeded expectations...the staff were very friendly and helpful...we will most certainly be back!!!

Riu Flamingos: wonderful budget minded family holiday

Riu Jalisco was very well maintained. Clean and well groomed. Basic rooms small but we got a steal and just went there to sleep. Beds very comfortable. Staff all very polite and accommodating. Downside was the gym which was not well equipped and many machines were out of order. We were able to get by though. I did miss the second little swivel mirror usually equipped on the wall which I use when getting all done up. I didn't bring one as I assumed there would be one. Food was A1 and a great vari [... read more]ety daily. We only used the beach as the water is so warm and waves fun. Pools seemed a bit crowded but everyone seemed to be having a good time. Delicious morning coffees! We did watch two entertainment in eve which was well done and enjoyable. Our 14 year old son also had a great time with no complaints. PLENTY of beach loungers and areas of shade and sun plentiful. Always a buffet open somewhere with everything one needed. No real complaints and would definately return. GORGEOUS sunsets and lots to do!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Twas an ok resort

This resort was not as expected from pics on website. It was build in 2016, so I expected it to have a newer, fresher feel to it. A lot of the furniture looked very worn for a newer resort!
