Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful resort

The resort is beautiful and very large, the staff are friendly and food was great overall it was wonderful. The only problem our time was short. Love it love it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have some fun in the 🌞 sun

Ocean Coral Spring: Nice Resort!!

Good modern rooms,buffet was good and we tried all the restaurants,they were all good except for some wait times.Beach was a bit rocky, small but no sea weeds.kids enjoyed a lot in the kids pool and lazy River. Bowling area was a nice to have.The service was top notch at food areas. However, the house keeping was a bit off, they dont have a regular schedule.If you are not up by 8am forget about getting a bench by the pool.

Sandals South Coast: Fantastic Resort

This is probably the largest sandals we have visited so far. European atmosphere was well replicated.Property ,service and restaurants were all top notch. The Dutch and Italian villages were renovated recently,but the French sadly was not and it shows. It is scheduled for renovated April 2023.

Ocean Eden Bay: Could be a 5 star - lacks the basics and consistency

The grounds were kept exceptionally well. Overall the food was very good. We did not have a bad meal. The Steakhouse was the best in quality and service-Orlando was hands down the best server we encountered. Followed by Ryan in LaLocania. The rest of the service was mediocre at best. Staff just did not care, not happy campers. Our Privilege room was kept very clean and we never lacked for towels. However the basics Such as a hair dryer or even Kleenex was not supplied. There was even a [... read more] plastic Kleenex box topper in the bathroom. Our butlers Nelson and Delvin were attentive however if you arranged something the day before, you had to re-request it the next morning or it would not happen. We arrange a luggage transfer to the Lobby for checkout. It was confirmed and they did not show up. We walked it instead. The beach was a huge disappointment. Very rocky when you got into the water. Having been to Jamaica several times, this was the worst beach we have encountered on the island. The most disappointing overall service was the Privilege Lounge. Staff ignored you, did not acknowledge you until you interrupted them. We paid extra for this - not worth it. Resort ran out of vodka on our arrival day. None for 2 days. Bars ran out of all kinds of stuff daily and restocking was poor. Mikes Coffee made a good cappuccino which I had twice a day. They ran out of all sugar packets which were not replenished at all for 2 days. I had to get sugar from the buffet restaurant across the walkway which had an abundance. No teaspoons in breakfast cutlery roll outs - stirred my coffee with my fork everyday. If you have little experience with 4-5 star resorts or Jamaican resorts in particular, you may find the service acceptable. A 3 star at most with a beautiful complex. We are easy going and worked the hotel sector for decades. We got what we wanted. R&R. But will not return to this resort. No basics, inventory processes or consistency and saddest overall team of staff we have encountered. I guess team building and oversight are lacking by leadership.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Very Good Resort

We stayed at the Royalton "Diamond Club". First of all the staff was all extremely friendly and were always happy and smiling. Rooms - We were fortunate to stay in the terrace suite with a huge private terrace overlooking the ocean. This room was great. We had a chance to look at the other rooms and they were all very nice. Food - the buffet was very good, lots of choices. We visited all of the ala carte's. The food was good but not spectacular. Overall an 8/10. We did eat at the Ocean Point restaurant. The food was great and you could watch the sunset. Beach - the beach was excellent. Turquoise water, soft sand and very clean. The Royalton is on Bloody Bay Beach (approximately 3 km long) so very nice for a morning walk. There are other resorts you walk by as well as local shops, so it was a great walk. Note: it is approximately a 5 minute walk from the resort to seven mile beach. We made the walk and then walked all of seven mile beach. It is virtually the same as Bloody Bay beach just a little longer. And Marguarettaville is on seven mile beach Pools - there is a pool for Diamond Club and a pool for non Diamond Club. Both pools are about the same size. The pools are not huge but they were never overcrowded. Ample chairs and loungers at both pools and the beach. Entertainment - the vibe crew curing the day was ok, nothing special. The entertainment at night was also ok but we have seen much better. Hideaway section - this is an adults only area. Very much the same as the rest of the resort but "adults only" There weren't alot of children at the resort so nothing to be worried about. Sunset - Unfortunately due to the positioning of the resort on Bloody Bay you do not see the sunset, However you can walk to the point and watch the sunset Safety - The resort and beach was extremely safe, absolutely no concerns at all. As mentioned we also walked seven mile beach and had no concern with safety. Vendors = Yes there was vendors but they were not pushy at all. Yes they asked if you wanted to buy "gonja" but if you said no thanks they did not bother you. Also as you walk by their little huts/shops they asked you to come in and have a look but were not pushy at all. Overall - this resort was very nice and you certainly will enjoy it. Not overly exciting or spectacular but very nice to relax and enjoy the pool/beach/weather, 7.5 out of 10 Note: Make sure you go to Rick's cafe. You can go on a boat, catamaran or taxi. It is 100% worth the trip. We went twice it was so much fun.

Zoetry Montego Bay: Peaceful elegance

The hotel is a small but beautifully maintained and spotless oasis. Shouts out to Rayan and Eric, amazing butlers who really personalized their service. Without bidding they would bring our first drinks of the day (habit forming). As I had a cold when there they brought me a special rum/lemon & honey mixture. Small, 2 restaurants, small beach, one pool. Age range, mature NO KIDS. Just what we were looking for, undisturbed rest and relaxation. Couples Sans Souci: Enjoyed our visit

A stunning resort, well-maintained with a caring and friendly staff. We were a little surprised that so many people used the 2nd beach to sunbathe in the nude, but it left more chairs for us. Loved our room and the food was extremely good and plentiful. No complaints at all.

SeaGarden Beach Resort: Classic

I love this place. Our room was located on the garden side, on the second floor. Super clean, good food great staff. Beach is great, fun water sport available, we had a great time. The only thing I could complain about is no coffee machine in the room. You need to get it in the lobby and walk back to your room.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Very nice stay at Hideaway at Royalton

Hideaway at Royalton was very nice for over 18's. Even though the resort is huge, everything is easy to get to and for Hideaway guests centrally located to dining, cove beach area and Hideaway bar. The rooms were very modern. The bed was very luxurious, wonderful. We loved the rain shower and the jacuzzi tub. We had a huge balcony with view of the bay. The tv was apps, but had Royalton info regarding the spa, and entertainment, restaurants etc. We ate mainly at the buffet, as it had everyth [... read more]ing we wanted and was very good. We enjoyed the Hideaway dining area, as it was spacious and just for Hideaway guests. You could choose from indoor or outdoor dining. We loved the coffee shop and the restaurant hours were good for a meal or snack at most anytime of the day. The staff in all areas of the resort were very friendly and helpful. The bay is very beautiful and you can see fish just by looking at the edge of the water. There are some boardwalks to observe from. We didn't attend the entertainment as we were tired out from all the fresh air and swimming during the day. We chose to relax in our room. The gift shop had a nice selection and reasonable prices. We checked out the family area and it looked nice and had a food truck with lots of tasty snacks and a jerk hut. We didn't use the spa. We took a taxi to the main beach and walked and stopped for refreshments and snacks one day. Very beautiful. The Air Canada flight was also the best, we had premium economy with priority boarding, seating with extra leg room and a delicious meal. Our travel rep Monique was more than helpful for this trip as I asked many questions of her more than once. Thank you very much. A great vacation

Ocean Eden Bay: Nice resort

Spent 1 week at Ocean Eden Bay. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but a solid 4. The decor was great, newer resort, very modern, very clean. Grouting in the shower was done poorly. Drain in the shower was also terrible. Entertainment team was great. Food not up to par for Jamaica. Other than the Jamaican and Indian dishes the food was very bland, which was disappointing. Beach was extremely rocky even with water shoes. Service and hospitality at the hotel was excellent. The cleaners were great. A friend was staying at the other building and they lost power and had a flood. They had a terrible experience. Very glad we stayed on the adult only side since the kids side Ocean Eden Bay was hectic. Likely won’t go back.

Ocean Coral Spring: Amazing resort!

I thought the grounds were very clean. The staff was amazing and the layout of the resort was very convenient. The decor was very modern. The service was very good but a bit slow once in a while. The resort is a great place for young families. We had an amazing stay at Ocean Coral Spring!

Zoetry Montego Bay: Just what i expected & more

From the time we arrived at the resort (early Monday morning)the staff took great care to make us feel at home. The room was beautiful with the ocean view. The meals very excellent, anything we wanted all we had to do was ask. Resort staff were wonderful. Everything was just as we expected. Thank you Manuela.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Relaxing vacation

Stayed at Cornwall Beach section of Royal Decameron. Montego Bay section next door appeared older. Comfortable mid sized hotel on the beach. All units overlook pool and beach. Comfortable spacious rooms; well maintained. Reception staff very helpful. Cafe bar on second floor has best coffee and pleasant staff. Open buffet restaurant with satisfactory variety of food. Mediterranean cuisine la carte restaurant on the water was very good, but be prepared to take your time dining and enjoyi [... read more]ng the ambience as meals are individually prepared according to your order. Recommend being up at 6:30 to get a reservation. Beach chairs are all taken at first light or earlier but always found chairs poolside, which is next to beach anyway. Large pool which isn’t used much. Fun activities for adults. Bar and restaurant staff were a bit inattentive. Overall we had an enjoyable 7 day stay - sun and surf in January. Most staff and patrons were unmasked but all tables in buffet restaurant were sanitized after use and marked as such after cleaning. Hand sanitizing for buffet restaurant was strongly enforced. Buffet utensils were commonly used.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great Resort and Vacation

Great location, staff and all around amazing for family vacations. The swim up bar had amazing bartenders and they should be recognized. Great resort!!! We will be back for sure next year to enjoy some more fun in the sun! :)

Ocean Eden Bay: Lovely

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. We liked that it and the sister "Ocean Coral Spring resort" are located away other resorts. There were no people trying to sell you stuff on the beach. There were so many different restaurants to try that the food wasn't boring. Staff was very friendly and our room very clean. We enjoyed the fact that there were many Canadians at the resort...refreshing.

Riu Reggae: What FUN!!

Riu Reggae did not disappoint, the resort was a blast of fun from the time we walked in to the time we left Hotel is amazingly clean, the food was great (honestly the buffet was always full of many different delicacies) Beach is kinda small for the people that would like to do long beach walks but the pools were always fun and entertaining Definitely not a place if you want total quiet, there are quieter areas but for the most part very vibrant and hopping Met some great people, thank you Ri [... read more]u Reggae great vacation

Riu Reggae: Not ideal

Not ideal for a younger crowd. Beach was very small and was constantly full of salesmen in their boats. Otherwise hotel was small but clean, staff were friendly. The buffet was the best meal(s) available out of all of the restaurants. Planes fly overhead and it’s extremely loud and disruptive all day. Also view from the room balcony was of a barbed wire fence encircling the hotel which would be fine if it weren’t for the men on the opposite side constantly calling out trying to make sales an [... read more]d harass you as you sit on the balcony.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Good and Bad

The Air Transat flight was perfect. PROS: The hotel is beautiful on the outside. The Lobby is beautiful. The grounds are lovely. the pools are immaculate. Staff , food and drinks amazing! Entertainment staff is Vegas quality! CONS: The rooms are dated. The bathrooms were gross. The finishes consisted of caulked, poorly installed marble. The bedding was hard with only a thin blanket provided. I was sold a garden room. It faced a concrete pad and a highway. I complained to the front desk an [... read more]d they only tried to upsell me for 200US to a sea view or ocean view room. I did not get to pick my room or choose my ala cartes via the app. The Bahia App was a pain in the ass. The Sports bar is a joke. They have bands playing Reggae instead of letting you watch or hear games.

Ocean Eden Bay: Wonderful Resort - Adults only section

You can tell from a few items missing from the room that this resort is starting to recover from the effects of the pandemic. Bring a hair dryer, don’t count on coffee maker in room. Other than that, Staff was amazing and extremely helpful and happy to assist in any way. Food was a 5*, accommodations were clean and as advertised 5*, pool was beautiful but the towel/chair game is played and annoying. More chairs would be required. The pool was quiet time until 3 then party time and loud music a [... read more]fter 3 which was not relaxing if you don’t want to participate so we moved to the beach where water was warm and chairs abundant. If you are looking to walk anywhere the resort is isolated, the gym was clean and not too busy. Representatives of the upgrade Privilege tried to catch us daily but they respected a polite no thank you. Lobby bar area had nightly live music and was enjoyable.

Ocean Eden Bay: Needs some work

Beautiful property. Nice pool. Food is horrible. Needs work. Rooms weren’t always cleaned. But the bar, blue team, servers, life guards were all great and pleasant. Don’t think I’d come back to this resort.
