Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: New resort

Beautiful grounds, well maintained , good service, however lack of food and drinks. No wine, no sparkling wine, only rum and vodka and beer. I know that a common problem in Cuba . There’s a karaoke in snack bar which is great if you like to sing.

What can I say about the Hotel that it is 5 star that says it all. Every thing is kept well, Room are automatic when the door opens: A/C, lights are on also you can control manually as well. Always: water, (hot and cold) A/C, power (they have generator in case of an outage) room supplies, Mobile TV control, One bottle of Cuban Rom complimentary (mini fridge with bottled water supply) and many other. Cuban Banks takes Canadian Dollars and not US. When tipping if possible use a vary good condition paper money because metal money are not accepted in Cuban banks. All Hotel workers are very nice.

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Amazing stay, great value resort

Great value for the price. Very friendly and professional staff. The entertainment team is phenomenal. Clean and well-maintained rooms. Food is just ok (needs more variety). Beautiful beach (not crowded). There's always lounge chairs available and there is a rule of not reserving them with towels which is great. Same with the pool area. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great beach

Great grounds, beach, coral reef not what it used to be, much less fish.Service very slow in Royal side, takes 1 to 2 hours each meal,plus meals almost never what you ordered (with or without tips), plus some restaurants serve fish that is so dry, that with each bite you have to drink a lot of water. Playa Pesquero: well managed resort

This resort is sprawling and difficult to move around but transportation was always there to take us around. What concerns me is that too little English is being spoken which make communicating with employees very difficult. The food is plentiful but tasteless. Lots of restaurants and bar but limited variety of cocktails.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Great resort

The resort is beautiful, we enjoyed much the beach, the Iberostar team were amazing and we love the entertainment every night. The food is okay but more variety will be appreciated. We will surely like to come back again with family and friends!

Iberostar Coral Holguin: COULDN'T RECOMMEND MORE!

Where do I start... there are soooo many good things to say. The staff was incredible, specifically our bartender sergi at the beach bar and Alexander at the coral level bar. Our butler Laritzia, and the Yarian! The concergie (we forget her name) was also incredible. Everyday she increased our wifi usage without us asking. All the staff went above and beyond for us. A couple days later we go back and he has a WHOLE BOX of fresh limes! He went to the market on his day off to buy them so he could make me my drink. Unbelievable! Alexander was someone we talked to almost everyday, we got to know him really well and he was such a kind soul. His drinks were excellent but his service was even better. Our two butlers Laritzia and Yarian were the sweetest people we could have asked for. Upon check in they provide you with a welcome tray of meats and cheese, I mentioned to Laritiza I love charcuterie back in Canada and she brought me a cheese and meat tray everyday just because! They were both so detail orientated and really took note of the small things. The food was delicious at the coral level, I had lobster for dinner everyday and my boyfriend had the three meat option (chicken, beef, pork). We would much prefer to eat on the coral side as we found it was better than almost every al a carte and beat the buffet by a landslide, it truly was five star dining. They have a snack bar open 24/7 for burgers, pizza, fries etc. The snack bar food was great for a late night bite after dinner was over. Breakfast was your choice of eggs, French toast, pancakes, fruit etc. Lunch always had a wide variety... something for everyone for sure! I have IBS so I was very nervous about the food selection prior to booking, but as I mentioned I was beyond satisfied and was not sick once. We traveled during low season and couldn't recommend it more, there were about 20 other people on the adult side which made for a quiet and relaxing stay. Our room walked out onto a patio with a cabana which was excellent... no fighting over pool chairs! The room was spotless everyday and the maids were very thoughtful. The beach was also beautiful, you have two options of beaches so we would recommend trying out both! We will be back next summer!!

Don Lino Hotel: Don Lino is turning from bad to very very , very bad.

I was at Don Lino 5 times in the last 6 months. Each time is getting worst. In my last two weeks at Don Lino, there were two days 20 hours without electricity. If there is no electricity the bars are closed, there is no air conditioning and there is no TV. . BUT if there is power for a few hours there is NO TV. The food is always the same and always cold. The people who plan to go there should be aware of what to expect.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Fantastic Vacation

Very beautiful resort, exceptional staff, gorgeous rooms, hand sanitizer readily available everywhere. Food was good by Cuban standards, pools and Playa Pesquero beach was beautiful, grounds were immaculately manicured by gardeners.

Superior Room in Playa Pesquero is clean Grounds are well taken cared of Food is repetitive due to less supply received due to the pandemic Beach is crystal clear and beautiful Bay Adventure side trip is great

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Great relaxing resort, great staff and amazing pool.

This was the second time we were there this year.Staff was amazing again and they remembered us. Resort was very quiet, which is what we wanted, only around 35 people in our area which was the adults only. This is their slow season, very hot but enjoyable.

Don Lino Hotel: two stars Cuban hotel for Cubans

sea - you need swimming shoes, rough bottom beach - sand is outside the water only room - tv wasn't work for two weeks, no internet, interruptive electricity, all bulbs, but one are stolen, AC is ok food - you will not starve weather- warm, windy, unstable main bar on the beach is good, but overcrowded and noisy staff had brought no problems, pretty unusual. pool - more like a tub for three Personal - the location provides the best long distance swimming in my life Clear, calm shallow [... read more] water, coral riffs, lava rock cost is accessible everywhere.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: A very special place

We have stayed at this resort many times, we keep coming back because we love it that much. This was our first trip post -covid and exceeded our expectations. It was great to see the same staff all still working and providing truly outstanding service. We stayed at the Royal Service side and would highly recommend that for anyone thinking of it. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Awesome resort!

This Resort is one l would like to return to for many reasons. A few are the welcoming and polite staff. The staff have as a whole highly impressed me. The food was good. Enough variety that you could eat something different each day. The beach was as all Cuban beaches are, just amazing. They are very aware of what they need to do to keep the Covid standards. And they willingly comply for our safety. I would recommend this resort to everyone. We had one of the best holidays.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Just a thought

We have been in this hotel 4 time's. Amazing shore and landscape, beautiful ocean. But !!!! You can feel that this hotel start to degrading. It needs renovation, not just painting. Variety of food minimum. But you won't be hungry. Fly's everywhere including on the food . Playa Pesquero: This is average 3* Cuban Resort.

This Resort Lobby Area is big which is very nice and attractive. We stayed in this Resort in May 2022. We didn't like it overalll. Beach is very nice. Pool is not clean. Rooms are old.They might have food supply shortage due to their economy.The food is very bad in this resort.The al-carte dinning Restaurant is also terrible food. Snack bar has nothing. Please do your own home work before book this Resort. I am very disappointed with our stay.

Playa Costa Verde: I have nothing nice to say about this resort, suppose to be a 4+ star resort, I will not even give a 1 star.

Terrible food, terrible drinks, This was my 40th trip to Cuba, never went for the food as I expected that, but that was by far the worst ......that beach was clean but very rocky for the first 10 meters or so going in the water, but then nice sand. I love Cuba and I will go again but never to that place or beach again.

Playa Pesquero: Great time

Staff were great. Rooms clean. Grounds amazing. Food was what one might expect... Cuban... Beans and pork and rice and chicken. Nice selection of tropical fruits. Beach was great. Water clear and some snorkeling and catamaran and Paddle boats Children's program was excellent. This resort seemed to be mostly a Cuban destination. Sometimes the Cuban patrons were not ecologically responsible. Staff however were very good!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Quiet and Attentive!

My third trip to Cuba and would absolutely stay at this resort again! The people were just lovely and friendly and really made the whole experience wonderful for us. Food for breakfast and lunch was fantastic - lots to choose from! Dinner was a but repetitive but not unexpected in Cuba and still good. The beach is just perfect for snorkeling and windsurfing or sailing. We will definitely be back!
