Grand Oasis Cancun: Max a 3 star hotel

The resort is very big, but the rooms smell humid, the staff isn’t particularly friendly/helpful. One of the sports staff was actually snobby. There are 2 types of bracelets - blue for regular and black for luxury - and with the blue bracelet you don’t have access to restaurants, some areas, mixed drinks. This was not disclosed beforehand and actually made it that we were refused drinks... when we had paid for an all inclusive. It’s very much a 19-21 year old vibe. The music, the food, eve [... read more]rything is geared towards that audience. The food in the buffet is really not good and I’m not a picky eater. This was my first time booking an all inclusive as an adult (I had been twice as a teen with my parents), and was really not a good one. Not recommended at all. Tripcentral rates this as a 4.5 star, Google says 3, I would put it at a 2. The only good thing was the beach.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Very nice Hotel

This hotel is great.....the pool, the beach, the foods are EXCELLENT. The room is very clean, the service is super and everyone say Hello with a big smile, they are always happy to see you. It was my second time there and it is still very good !!!!!

Krystal Grand Cancun: Loved it

Over all the stay was an 8/10 I had some issue with the cleaning and staff. Check in wasn’t ready 2:30 in the afternoon we waited 30 mins and our room still wasn’t ready so we got placed on another floor. Wasn’t a big fan of the buffet option neither breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But the restaurant there were alright not a lot of options but some. The pool area was amazing loved was there everyday. The beach needs more chairs by 9 am there was never any chairs, but be sides that the beach was beautiful. House cleaning was a little difficult because they didn’t understand what we were asking for and never got done till like 3-4 in the afternoon. The shower head did have mold on the rim part. Over they did a good job on cleaning our room. There were activities but for kids they need more adult events I loved the Hotel overall

Riu Palace Las Americas: Excellent customer service

This is our second stay at this resort, the first in normal times and the second recently. The staff go above and beyond with customer service, so staying here was an absolute pleasure once again! Thank you so much Riu Las Americas!

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Overall Very Good

We had a group of 11 people at this resort from December 11-18. Overall this is a great resort with friendly staff, well-kept grounds, good food and no issues getting a lounge chair around the pool (which was a nice change). The waterpark is fantastic for kids of many different ages as well as adults. A few challenges include the app which did not really work and made it challenging to book restaurants. The sand on the beach is lovely but there are lots of weeds so swimming in the ocean it’ [... read more]s not really practical. Lastly, the atmosphere around the pools was disappointing. There was elevator music which became a little annoying after a while. Our solution was to walk to the sister resort next-door which had much more atmosphere and there’s a bunch better place to spend the day around the pool. They had great lunch specials that appeared right at the pool, which was really convenient. My biggest complaint was the pushiness of the sales staff trying to sell timeshares. We would receive phone calls at 8:30 (waking us up) each morning asking us to come to the front desk to pick up our package, which was just an excuse for us to meet with the sales team. Eventually I unplugged the phone because the calls were so annoying.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great resort!

Overall we gave this an 8/10. The staff were fantastic and customer service was excellent! Our room was beautiful and even though we didn’t overlook the ocean, the city view and view of the lagoon is gorgeous, especially at night. The Covid measurements in place are excellent: temperature testing at each restaurant, sanitizer everywhere, distancing measures in place, and staff wear buttons to let guests know they are vaccinated. Service at all restaurants was amazing and service at the pool was top notch, and we didn’t upgrade to the Diamond Club as we don’t see the benefit really. We did not visit the 18th floor pool, as there was no need to; the beach was beautiful and pools were great! Never a time we didn’t have a chair and they never tan out of towels like a lot of places do. Overall great stay, only real downside is that it is a high rise and the elevator situation can be slow and painful….otherwise would recommend it!

The Sens Cancun: Worst trip ever !!!

Staff that were not being tipped were super rude. Unfriendly and I accommodating. They wouldn’t restock water in room they tell me call 0 but no one would ever pick up. Ask at front desk and they would forget. Had a leak from the ceiling the entire two weeks no one fixed it I slipped on wet floor. Pool was freezing cold onky good thing was the beach. It was calm and shallow to swim and warm. Food was not great and same thing every night. They watered down the juices. I bc feel like they ju [... read more]st cut corners and gave the bare minimum. It’s. 2.5 star at best I spent a lot to travel rn and it was not worth it at all. And the people mostly locals that occupied the hotel were super rude and unfriendly and the few North Americans I did meet said the same thing. Don’t think we are welcome in Mexico these days… save your money !!!

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Great resort

The hotel was wonderful. We had an amazing stay at Majestic. The staff were very accommodating friendly and always greeting us with a smile no matter the day and time. There was a great variety of food, endless drinks and entertainment. The only downside would be the state of the bathroom in the suite. While the sink and tub areas were spotless, We were disappointed to see that the toilet and shower area were quite nasty. Riu Caribe Cancun: Nice Mid Tier Resort Where the Staff is Great But the Food was Mediocre

My boyfriend and I were here the first week of December 2021. I think we got a much better room than we paid for because it was huge so that was a bonus. Pros: -Good COVID protocols (all staff masked at all times, mandatory masking for guests in public areas, high touch areas were wiped often) -Clean property -Not very noisy -A+ staff who were all very friendly and helpful, especially the serving staff at the pool and beach -Decent daytime and nighttime entertainment on the property (a [... read more]gain, their entertainment staff were great) -no matter what time of day, we were able to find loungers both poolside and on the beach -huge pool Cons: -food quality and selection, while serviceable, was disappointingly mediocre at best (avoid the Asian themed restaurant in particular) -the built in liquor dispensers in room were never refilled during our week -water in the mini bar was not refilled automatically each day. The tap water here is not potable so clean drinking water is very important and we had to ask for more water twice. Luckily they were generous when we asked and provided 4L at a time but it's not ideal to return to your room after a day in the sun and discover you have no drinking water.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Great to Travel Again, Nice Resort

This resort, like the other Excellence Resorts is very nice, well kept. Staff super friendly and caring. They have sanitizing stations through out the resort, masks optional. PCR testing ran smooth, pretty well organized. Overall I would go back after covid cases lower and restrictions decrease again. A lot more restrictions implemented while away making it hard to decipher what was required upon returning home.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Planet Hollywood Adult Scene

We arrived at the hotel to find out that our reservation clearly said Adult Scene, but the hotel reservation was for family side. The hotel said our issue is with Air Canada to speak with our travel agency. Which we did immediately, and was advised to see the Air Canada Rep in the morning which we did at 9am the next day. The rep at the hotel said their reservation clearly say adult scene. The hotel did not accommodate us the Adult Scene which we paid through Air Canada Vacations. We paid  [... read more]the hotel 540 US funds for the bands to access the Adult Scene, and now are dealing with Air Canada. The hotel has zero authorization with your reservations even if they clearly state it on your confirmation. The manager did move us room not over looking the kiddie pool 2 days later. He was great at helping us book all of our reservations for dinners. We loved the resort but were not happy with the miss communication between Air Canada and the hotel reservations. I will not book with Air Canada for an all inclusive resort again and would recommend that you contact this resort your self to make sure your reservations are what you think you are paying for and getting.

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: We loved it !!!

We absouletly loved our stay at this resort. In this crazy time we had our much needed break from routine life. Our suit was very comfortable with all amenities and cleaned everyday. All staff was very helping and professional. Food choices were amazing with coffee shops and burger point. It was not that huge as stayed in the past in different resorts but all nice things were compressed in a beautiful way. Beach, swimming pools and food places were at very comfortable distances so no long wait f [... read more]or rides. Staff was strictly following covid 19 protocol wearing masks all the time making sure to clean & disinfect all places after use. We booked our PCR test on the site and result was delivered early next morning via email.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Was ok

The grounds are beautiful. The service was good but not consistent. We upgraded to diamond and where told that we where invited and booked by our butler for a diamond dinner. We where excited about going got dressed up and up to the 18th floor we went only to be told that unfortunately the dinner was over booked and you where cut .That was on our second day, there was not an apology from Arron the big boss only a shoulder srug. Food was ok nothing special. Maid service was nothing special the [... read more] bed was made . No animal out of towels. Yes we tip...around 250 for fair service that week. I'm disappointed with the royalton and will not return.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Resort grounds beautiful

We stayed their Nov 22 to 28 2021 The hotel grounds and pool are beautiful. We where not able to do the diamond dinner as they deleted our reservations therefore turned away when we got there with no compensation for dinner We did not go to the top floor pool as you had to pay for your drinks and food as this is not run by the hotel therefore people can buy a day pass and enjoy the night time entertainment as we had to also make reservations to go When they had events on the top floor the buf [... read more]fet was closed therefore you needed to find another place to eat and I have never been to a resort where they close the buffet I found the pool bars and those that served you around the pool went over and above but the rest of the resort did bare minimum I would not say this is a 5 star place at all There was minor things like no slippers in the room needed to ask for a blow dryer and a few days out fridge was not restocked with water or and pop

Krystal Cancun: Worst Resort I've Experienced

This resort looks beautiful online and has some great amenities however, the service and hidden fees make it a terrible experience. The service was by far the worst I have ever experienced. The staff ignored us, were blatantly rude, and took extremely long to do anything we had requested. Sat by the pool for a full 5 hours without anyone approaching to ask if we would like anything. When we would go up to the bar or snack counter, the staff would look annoyed and speak in Spanish to one anoth [... read more]er. When complaining to the manager and stating we would be writing a review, he responded saying he did not care. Many things on this resort are not included in the all inclusive package so be very careful what you request and ensure it is included. The water in the room randomly stopped working one morning so nobody could take a shower or even wash their hands. Multiple pairs within the group had to change rooms due to the water smelling like sewage. We had to replace our room keys up to 20 times total due to them stopping to work and then were told on a few instances it was due to the door being broken and a technician would need to come. Those staff who were nice were extremely pleasurable however, those that were not were rude and greedy, asking for a $20 tip to bring us drinks. The only positive note that I have is the resort is very close to great nightlife.

Not sure where to even begin. Since my review can only be so long let me be quick - Terrible service (got cut off?) - Terrible food (no variety) - Outdated - Bad plumbing - False advertisement! DONT GO

All Ritmo Cancun Resort And Waterpark: Beautiful resort with friendly staff

The resort is older but kept in good repair and always updating things. The beach is kept in pristine state and water so warm. All the pools are kept so clean they were refreshing to swim in. I will say I loved the food here even though it's not super fancy. The vegetables are extremely fresh. Their fish and chicken are the best. They also have hotdogs and hamburgers for fussy kids. Oh the nachos are with mentioning delicious with cheese and beef and jalapenos on top. They have different themed [... read more] meals every day. There is an amazing water park here with water slides and a giant bucket that's dumps water. It's great for little kids and big kids like me (47). This is truly great resort and the staff is so happy and friendly.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Amazing resort

The hotel was beautiful but the service was even better. The staff was so respectful and nice the person who stood out the most to me was Daniel from the pool side bar. Constantly taking order and going above and beyond left such a great impact he deserved all the tip he was so genuine

Riu Dunamar: Everything was perfect !

Nice grounds, gorgeous, spacious, new rooms. Full bar in room. Staff wore masks ALL THE TIME, guests were very much aware and obedient of the sanitary rules, in most part. Always as few dummies that you can easily avoid. Staff super friendly. Not the best hotel for Scuba Diving. But beach was nice.

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Fabulous Resort

The hotel was beautiful. The staff friendly and efficient. Food was outstanding. Especially liked the fact that you didn’t need to book for most restaurants. COVID protocols were straightforward and well adhered to, keeping us safe without too much inconvenience. Beach was incredible. Pools were a little bit lacking, although the one by the Sky Lounge was decent enough.
