Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Wonderful holiday - Great hotel!

When we arrived we were treated to a drink & given a key to our room to see if we liked it. We loved it! Ocean view, large room 2 beds for 2 ladies & a couch. Spotless clean washroom too. All we would need for our week. The staff, polite & easy to make our stay a fantastic one! The pools were clean. Food was delish! We were down at the ocean many times swimming & it was cleaned daily in front. The only problem was that early in the morning, towels were being put on chairs & left all day wit nobo [... read more]dy there! Irritating! The area was very safe for 2 ladies to walk & go shopping in the village. We loved it. 5 stars from me & I will be back!

Riu Flamingos: Great Beach!

We went there as a family of 5 the first week of January. It was a busy time at the resort but everything run smoothly and was perfect. A bit noisy at time where our suite was located but our suite itself for family was just what we were looking for so we do not complaint. The beach was perfect and the sea was warmer than the pool. Buffet was good but speciality restaurant were not worth it though. I would still recommend the Riu Jalisco, for the quality-price, it is certainly the best.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Good resort

Nice resort with nice service. My room was spacious and clean. The hotel is at 20 km of Puerto Vallarta a little bit to far for me. The beach is perfect, very quiet. The food at the buffet and the grill was correct but the asian restaurant was not very good. The mexican restaurant is reserved for the people of the time sharing. It's not indicate on the website. Overall, the vacation was a nice experience.

Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta: Great location and wonderful hotel

We stayed at the Grand Park Royal for 1 week , it was a wonderful stay . You are a short 15 min bus ride for 10 pesos to get into downtown PV , or a taxi if you so wish. The bus stop is just outside the hotel and you can also catch the bus to go to Mismaloya or Boca. The hotel is a small hotel which was very clean the rooms were amazing , large , mini fridge stocked daily for free , one free room service daily as well , the food always showed up quickly and delicious. The waves dependent on the weather can be large or small, but enjoyable to listen to ..( listen is why we wanted ocean front , otherwise we would of stayed in PV if we didn’t want to listen to the waves) . The food was always fresh and there was always lots to choose from. The coffee and dessert bar was great ! The snack bar at the bar was a regular pool snack bar with hamburgers, hot dogs and nachos and cheese.everything being cooked fresh . All the eating areas were confined under glass wall , this was great to keep the food clean and away from flies. It did seem that the pool lounge chairs did get covered with towels regularly , we are not pool people so it did not bother us. There were many other spots around the hotel to watch the ocean ,( including the balcony in the room). We found all the employees at the hotel very friendly and helpful, from Hector the bell boy to Izzy at the front desk , all very helpful. If you want a smaller hotel with a location away from the hustle and bustle of PV but close enough to get into PV very easily this is it.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Great family friendly resort

This resort was very lovely! The staff was amazing and very friendly! The beach was well maintained, and I loved that there was a safe swimming area available. The pool was great and we absolutely loved the swim up bar. We had one night with some very noisy neighbours and the staff was very understanding and supportive of our issues as we had a baby with us. Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Sunscape PV review

The hotel is very close to the airport; transfers were included. Courteous, accommodating and professional staff - from the airport transfer to housekeeping. As always some items are overlooked but quickly rectified, such as coffee refills, missing towels or stocking the mini fridge with water. Entertainment staff are extremely energetic and engaging. Lots of activities at this resort and the location is convenient. No bracelets issued so always being asked for my room number. Only one poo [... read more]l and it's a bit cold but it wasn't crowded. If you want a lounge chair with shade get there early! The beach is okay but this resort is on "hotel alley" which means many interruptions from vendors. The hotel itself is dated - the bathroom lighting was very poor but the beds were comfortable. Toilet worked very well. WiFi is not included outside the lobby area and is expensive to purchase. The food was good and as expected; you can eat anywhere as long as it's open (no reservations or limitations) however all restaurants are not open every day and when one is closed for dinner, you better line up early at the others. Lots of good restaurants in the area outside the resort within easy walking distance if preferred. I appreciated the daily activity sheet which outlined the restaurants that were open with times, entertainment schedule, temperature, etc. including a daily drink special! For our purposes (we were 3 adults in a room) double beds were a challenge (queen size would have been nice) but we weren't willing to upgrade for the cost. Other detractors include the dark bathroom (makes it hard to get ready; had to use a flashlight), broken toilet seat (which was replaced proactively on day 5) and musty smell (ocean view room). I was a bit disappointed at the price point compared to other resorts we've stayed at however we've always been a 45 minute bus ride from the airport so assuming location is the reason for the higher cost? It was nice to try one right in PV where a quick cab ride let us experience the Malecon. We felt very safe here, inside and outside the resort. Everyone was friendly and welcoming - an overall good experience. Would I recommend to a friend? That depends. It's a smaller resort with still lots to offer and great service but it is dated and about 20% more than previous vacations. I have no other experience within city limits to compare it to so not comfortable referring at this time.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Third amazing visit!

This was mine and my wife's third visit to the Royal Decameron Complex. This time we brought our 13 and 14 year old daughters for a surprise trip. Everything about the trip and the resort was amazing! The staff are all so friendly, the beach is beautiful and the other guests are so pleasant. It is an older resort and this shows but it adds to the charm in my opinion. Its large, sprawling and you never feel crowded. 100% will return many more times over the years.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Sweet resort

The resort was fabulous, food pretty decent and staff were super nice. Issue we did have however, we arrived 8AM from an over night flight with next to no sleep, and had no room to rest in as check in was not until 3pm.We had to figure out 6'ish hours by the pool, where we ended up sleeping. Uncomfortable start to the trip.

was not a 4 star For what we paid it was not that great. Beds were OK Wait for just so-so food was too long. Wait was hours if you ordered off a menu but the food was much better. Drinks were good. Beach was only Ok because of the nearby river.

Have to say we were not overly impressed with the resort. The food was average unless you ordered off a menu in which case you needed to put aside hours. If you had the patience the food was very good. The staff - some were OK some did not care. The pool was nice but the beach was only OK because of the river. Would stay further north next time. Rooms were fine, bed was comfortable. Also disappointed going as a group and all of us were spread all over the place. Ian and I had asked how much i [... read more]t would be for an upgrade and they said there were none available and yet we talked to many people who said they had gotten an upgrade at no extra cost. My cousin was moving out of an upgraded room (and had not moved out yet) so they could be closer to their kids so we asked to be moved to their room (we were moving regardless) and they said no was impossible as they had already assigned the room to someone else. Not impressed with the front desk staff at all!

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Mixed Feelings

We really enjoyed the grounds, pools, and beach. However this resort is full of timeshare salespeople. At check-in we were passed along to a timeshare salesperson before receiving our wrist bands and room key - this was a huge turn-off. Because of this scheme we will not stay at this resort again.

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Lovely resort!

Beautiful weather, pools and beach. Hotel is a little tired, especially the club section. Whoever designed this resort gave no thought to how noise carries. The first night my friend and I couldn’t even talk as the band in the bar was so loud. Fortunately they stopped at 10pm but then we had to contend with those continuing to party until 3am. When we spoke to the concierge in the morning she was good enough to move us immediately. Still in the club section so some faint bar noise but what  [... read more]was worse was that we were above the kitchen/buffet restaurant so were awakened each morning at 5am. By the way stay away from the club section if you can’t do stairs....no elevator. Having said this the staff everywhere were amazing! Very attentive and courteous.

Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol: Small but super friendly Resort!

This is my second time at this resort and we really like it. It is a smaller resort but everyone is friendly. It is very clean and beautiful. The beach is a little rough with rocks at the time of year we went. (Dec 28 - Jan 4). The A La Carte's are amazing and the buffet food is good as well.

Riu Flamingos: Relaxing Vacation

The weather was beautiful everyday. The sunwing flight was delayed both ways of the trip. The resort had amazing and friendly staff all over. It was clean everywhere except for some cigarette butts on the beach. Fitness room was well equipped but the hot tub was closed the whole time. Overall good experience.

Riu Flamingos: Wonderful place !

Our 3rd Rui we had the pleasure of staying at.. great bang for your buck ! We stayed 2wks and had absolutely no complaints! Clean rooms, clean public bathrooms, clean restaurants.Would recommend to couples & to a family.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Was a great stay

We had a great time from start to finish the flight there and back was great. The stay and hotel no complaints. Weather was not the greatest but no control over that . The staff were friendly courtius and professional. Not bad food the ala cart was great I would recommend this hotel and certainly Air Transat to people

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Lovey, clean resort!

This hotel is beautifully kept, colourful. Service is great. The pools, bars and restaurants near block 5 seem to be the least busy. We travelled over the busy New Years week and never had to wait for a table, a chair, or a drink. We dined at three specialty restaurants and the food was ok. Beds are hard. Hard to get a hot shower.... Hallways and noise from other rooms is kind of loud. The area of Bucerias it is in is fantastic. Would probably stay here again because of the location, service, cleanliness and the lack of being overly busy even though the hotel was full!

Armony Marival Resort and Spa Punta de Mita: Beautiful resort and location

This is truly 5 stars resort in terms of accommodation, food and service. Spectacular beach. It was open only few months ago. They do not use any plastic, like cups, straws etc. Spacious, clean rooms, there is few restaurants but we only used buffet as we liked the good selection, also it was opened almost all day. You must try jacuzzi! Our stay was worth each penny, we loved it! Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: bad resort

the hotel is beautiful the view is unbelievable The buffet was something to be desired they ran out of food all the time and did not have very many choices or enough staff. One night I had the fish it was so hard I could not cut it with a steak knife. At breakfast they were always running out of bacon and the waffle station had no staff, so I made my own stuff. The coffee and cappuccino machine were always empty I had to pay for my coffee every day but once at the Starbucks. When we arrived w [... read more]e asked about all the shelve of booze what was included in our price the bartender told us all three shelves we could choice from just not the top but every time we ordered a drink and asked for Absolute or Smirnoff Vodka the server would bring us bottom shelve stuff that tasted horrible. The drinks were inconsistent. The restaurants and bars were very hard to find within the hotel and never enough bartenders or servers. The food was not great in any of them. The steak house wasn’t open at all. When I asked for change from one of the waiters, he helped him self to a 50-peso tip even though we were not eating at the place I asked for change from. At the pool I had to get up at 6 am to get a chair at the pool there where people out there at like 5 am with flashlights to get a spot to sit. At the pool restaurant I sat there waiting to be served for over 20 min and then got up and left. When we did finally eat there the burgers where premade in the bun, so the bun was stuck to the meat and they had little packets of catchup that you could never find enough to put on your burger and fries where under cooked.
