Riu Flamingos: Fantastic resort

We loved our stay at the riu Jalisco...Sunwing rep. helped us out with any information we needed...Food excellent. Pools and beach fantastic. Nightly entertainment was the best...All kinds of things to do....

Grand Riviera Princess: Better than the last time I stayed at the Grand Princess.

the resort overall was amazing I was there once and this was my second time it has improved a lot jonathan from the from lobby was amazing he helped us out all week when he was around our private pool with a butler was so nice and a very quiet area

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Awesome resort!

We had an amazing stay at the Fiesta Americana while were there celebrating our 25th anniversary! The resort is smaller with more personalized care and attention. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the Mexican theme night out on the patio that included Mexican dancers and a mariachi band! We can't wait to come back again! The beach is nice and the food was above our expectations.

Dreams Los Cabos: Great Customer Service

Everyone at the hotel provides great customer service except for the bartender at the Disco who looks like he doesn't want to be there. Otherwise everyone else is very happy to help and pleasant. More food options would be better as there was only 3 restaurants (only tried 2 because of limited menu options) overall food was good but not great. I would return if they increased the food quality and options. FYI best bartender is Jonathan in the Lobby.

Dreams Los Cabos: Great Resort

Hotel overall- very beautiful! There were some negatives and positives to the whole experience. Negatives - They don't give anyone bracelets (which was actually great), although it was a little confusing at first figuring out what was included with out plan vs the "Preferred" - While we were there, there wasn't an evening "buffet". All restaurants are sit down/full service, which was great, would have been nice to have a quick option if we wanted - Rooms were beautiful but there is no sound [... read more] barrier between connecting rooms (wasn't a big deal, was just interesting) - Entertainment. I think because this hotel was geared more towards families, there wasn't much for night time entertainment. The Disco was a beautiful space, but the DJ wasn't overly keen to play requests (he stuck to his own 80s playlist) Positives - THE STAFF! All of the serving staff were amazing. The bartenders really get to learn you and your drink. They're so entertaining - Rooms were beautiful, very clean and updated - Restaurants- the food was pretty good and had a great variety.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great place to relax and enjoy the sites

Overall experience was good. Service was amazing and easily accessible to most things that you would need. Presently there is construction from 7am until dark making it noisy in your room which was disappointing if you didn't mind being woken up at that hour daily and the night club across the street goes until 2am. So if your a light sleeper, bring lots of earplugs. The beach area was nice and enjoyable. There were lots of beach merchants which is the main reason I would not go back. Your int [... read more]erupted on the beach about every 10 minutes by someone trying to sell you something most of the day. By the pool they can't bother you but on the beach it's fair game so be aware. The hotel was located in the city so you could Uber it to many places to take in the sites or grab some food which was great. Felt very safe and all the locals at the resort or off were very helpful and kind.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Beautiful resort

We loved secrets and would highly recommend it to any couple traveling there. Check in excellent, food amazing, room excellent. Service above anything the best we have had. The beach isn’t the best to swim in, love the pool live entertainment during the afternoons. Pool service very good.

Haven Riviera Cancun: fantastic resort

resort was great overall 1- food was top notch, I would say some of the best meals we have had 2- rooms were fantastic, very modern 3- the beech wasn't the best, dark water and big waves 4- the service was fantastic. the bartenders at the evening bar were local celebrities. Literally. one had just won some major international bartending contest. best cocktails we have had.

Crown Paradise Club: Fun for kids, but tired and dated

The kids play area is great, but the rest of the resort is tired and needs a good clean and updates. The rooms are very basic, and beds are tiny and uncomfortable! Food was ok, nothing special. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a fun week but won't be going back to this resort until it's done some reno's.

Grand Riviera Princess: Amazing trip!

Was super! The food was lovely. Jonathan a worker that has been working there for 7 years; was so so amazing! Awesome employee :). The beach was beautiful and so many warm employees. So many different food choices as well :)

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: A really nice resort!

This resort really takes care of their grounds. Very beautiful place! The front desk personnel are top notch. Any concerns we had were addressed RIGHT away! The resort is huge! It's actually comprised of four places including a golf course! BUT! They have really good transportation for getting around. You won't wait more than 5-10 min for a ride! The ala carte restaurants are really nice. All in all, this is a really good bang for your buck!

Maya Caribe Cancun: Had a great time at Barcelo Grand Resort

We just got back from the Barcelo Grand Resort in Rivera Maya and had a great time. It's a huge resort and you seem to be discovering something new every day. Plus there is A LOT of walking. The beaches and pools are great and the very well kept and the grounds are kept immaculate. They were just decorating for Christmas and it was beautiful. The staff works so hard and we found all to be very really friendly. Great day trips are also available. Overall it was an awesome trip and would definitel [... read more]y go back when choosing an all-inclusive vacation. Food was good at both buffets and Ala carte restaurants.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: One week was too short

Had a fantastic time in this unique eco resort. As a photographer the wildlife was a welcomed bonus. Was able to photograph 20 different species of birds with the help of the of the “eco-activity” coordinators. An abundance of wild life was everywhere. The food was great (although not 24 hrs). A very family focused place with plenty to do. Wi Fi for myself was superb! At one point I made a suggestion and it was promptly addressed. Can’t complain except that due to construction some areas w [... read more]ere not accessable, such as snorkeling in the cenote. I was there a week and could have easily stayed longer.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Very modern hotel

I loved the resort, we had an amazing time. The staff was awesome, although they were not always understanding our English language and that made for a few amusing situations. One thing I didn’t like was the open concept washroom. You have a bathtub in the middle of the room. No privacy for dressing and undressing unless you like doing that inside the shower. Iberostar Selection Cancun: "Ibero" is a "Star"

Very nice resort nicely situated in the hotel district of Cancun. Easy access to everything. The resort was big but not too big, and extremely beautiful. Golf course was excellent, even with Crocodiles at almost every water hole. Food and service was also very good. A solid resort. All in all Id recommend this a as a vacation spot.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Our favourite place

This was our sixth visit to Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. We are a 3- generation family of 6 (ages 8-62) who have been going annually in November. At first, we chose the resort due to the onsite golf course. The kids club (Star Camp) is amazing. My children, who have been making the trip since they were toddlers, are greeted back every year with full recognition from the year before. They love making friends from around the world, enjoy all the activities and participate in the nightly shows. Special [... read more] kudos to David, Rebecca, Alejandro and Edith. The exercise facility is great. The food is wonderful. The staff are friendly. The grounds are well kept. Can’t wait to go back next year!!

Secrets Huatulco: Not a 5 Star

My husband and I travelled to Secrets Huatulco from November 26 – December 2 with a group of 6 friends. Overall, our expectations at this hotel were not met. We were expecting a 5 star experience and would rate this hotel a 3.5 star. The Good: - The pool and view is absolutely gorgeous. - The view from our room was spectacular. All the rooms at this resort have a stunning ocean view. We stayed in building 5 which is on the lower level right by the pool. - The rooms were very spaciou [... read more]s and housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining the room. They always came by in the evening to do the turn down service as well. - The weather in Huatulco is VERY warm. This is the reason why the group we travelled with always goes to Huatulco. Never a cloud in the sky and plus 35 every day. - The food: o Overall, the food at the resort was good. It was not necessarily “gourmet” fine dining but it was what we expected. We highly recommend the French restaurant, Bordeaux. There were plenty of options to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really enjoyed Castaways for lunch as the view was breathtaking and the service was exceptional. The buffet in the main lobby was one of the worst buffets I’ve ever seen. Not a large complaint as we never ate there anyways (breakfast – room service, lunch – Grill or Castaways and dinner – A La Carte). o Room service was an excellent option. The service was prompt and the food was excellent. We had coffee delivered to our room every morning. o Service and the donuts at Coco Café were amazing!! - The location: this was our first time visiting Huatulco and we really loved the location. It is very beautiful and secluded. The airport was very small which makes the check in process a lot quicker. We did not have to wait for more than 15 minutes for our luggage after we arrived to the airport. The Bad: - Check-in at his hotel was extremely disorganized. We arrived at the hotel at about 2:45pm and were told our rooms were not ready. The rooms were not available until about 3:30pm and it was only because we kept going to the lobby to ask for our room. The check-in at this hotel is at 3PM and in my opinion ALL the rooms should be ready for 2:30PM. We were told our bags would be delivered to the room. We called a number of times and were told our bags are coming. We finally went up to the lobby after an hour of waiting and found our bags were with the bags for the guests that are departing the hotel. Luckily we found our bags and brought them to our room ourselves. This left a very bad first impression. - The atmosphere at the hotel is very bland. The lobby is quite underwhelming for a 5 star hotel. I would recommend that more is done to make the hotel a little more authentic and vibrant. - The pool bar does not open until 10AM and we would generally get to the pool area by 8AM every morning. We would sometimes go to the bar to ask for water and would immediately be dismissed because they’re not open. There should be water available to guests at all time as it’s about 35 degrees. The next nearest place to get water upstairs which meant you had to travel up the stairs or take the elevator to get water. - The beach was very rough. It was not advisable to go into the ocean at all during our stay. This isn’t the hotels fault but just an FYI for anyone travelling. - Finally, 3 of the 8 people in our group got sick on this trip. One of the individuals was EXTREMELY ill from Wednesday until Sunday (the departure date). We were very concerned about how ill he was. We think he got sick at Castaways during dinner. I spoke to other hotel guests who were also very sick. The lady who was staying at the room next to ours popped a blood vessel in her eye from vomiting. She also said she began to feel ill after she had dinner at Castaways. Overall, the hotel has the potential to be a 5 star hotel. We loved the location and will be returning to Huatulco but will likely not return to Secrets until improvements are made.

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful resort

The hotel was beautiful. Marble floors, updated rooms and amazing stay. The food was average in the buffets. The Italian a la carte was fantastic. Downfalls would be there was no nightly entertainment and the beach was so waving that you couldn't go in. Lots of vendors on the beach if you like to barter. The city bus was just outside the hotel if you needed a ride. Its a quiet hotel so if you are looking to relax this is the place for you.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Not a 4.5 star resort.

This resort needs to tell people that it is under renovation and definitely not ready for a good review or rating. Our problems started on arrival when we informed that the room we had requested was not available until the next day. OK but the room we were given was near the pool and noisy. Why on earth do some of these resorts seem to think everyone staying with them want to listen to music blaring over the PA system all day. Our second room was nice. For most of our stay the main bar abo [... read more]ve the pool was closed for renovations as was the Brazilian restaurant, the sushi place was also closed for a period. Kids mini golf closed. No hot water for one day. Cigarette butts on our balcony for two days after we changed rooms (we are non smokers). Had to make a complaint to get them cleaned up. So all-in-all we did not think this resort warrants its 4.5 star rating. Many people staying at the same time we were said they would not stay again and that included a couple who have been going to the resort for years

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Adequate Hotel

The Royal Decameron Hotel was a bit of a disappointment. There is no elevator to the rooms in the building making it difficult to carry luggage or moving between floors. Lots of stairs. I would not recommend to anyone with mobility challenges. One main dining area and another smaller eating place were too repetitive. Quality of food not very interesting. Also there are 2 levels of all inclusive. The all inclusive Plus allowed more access to hotel amenities. Did not like the idea that som [... read more]e guests are treated differently. Our room beds were comfortable and clean (no bugs). The shower was old and patched with caulking to avoid leaks. Fridge only included 2 bottles of water per day. My experience in other hotels included a full fridge of beverages. Entertainment was not very exciting. Drinks were watered down. Wine was awful. Ended up buying our own & bringing to dinner.
