Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Very nice property, but understaffed.

The property is new, extremely beautiful, and quite modern. Most rooms are very nice (the ones facing the mangrove do not have a good view). Check-ins is the only major disaster. Everyone I talked to was not given the room he/she had booked. They start by appointing you to a room facing the mangrove (even if you booked an oceanview room), until you hassle them enough and they eventually find you a better room later or the next day. The front desk blocks you from talking to any managers. Other th [... read more]an that wrinkle, overall everything was good. Service was very slow at times, but that's because they're understaffed. Their staff actually work very hard, and we found them honest (e.g. our housekeeper found a missing earing).

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Time

I was really impressed with the rooms and services at this hotel. It was my first time in Mexico and second time at an all-inclusive. The staff was very friendly. It was never a problem to get a chair at the beach or by the pool. Even though the beach was beautiful, the water was fairly rough, and they have these fake rocks to break the surf. There was snorkel gear to rent for free but the water was never "calm enough" and we were not allowed to use the gear.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort!!!!!!!

This hotel is the best hotel we've been to and we have been to lots of others. People that complains about this hotel can ONLY be those who doesn't like modern style hotels. Everything is amazing at this hotel. Only issues was that the seaweed is unbearable at the ocean and sometimes the wait for the restaurant can be frustrating. My family will sure go there in few years.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Awesome Resort!!!

We had a wonderful vacation! The resort is groomed to perfection with nothing out of place. The food is amazing with a selection like no other. The staff always have a smile even when some of the tourists do not. The pools are great and you could pick where from relaxing or getting involved with activities. The beach was endless for walking. There was always staff working on the beach keeping it clean. W e will return!!!! Excellence Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort!

I have been to many all inclusive resorts and this one was the best I have been to so far. It was a perfect size to get around, the food was amazing, I loved not having a limit on resteraunts and not having to make reservations in advance. The rooms were beautiful and the service was top notch.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Beautiful resort

This is our 5th time staying at this resort and love it there!! The grounds are gorgeous and plush. The beach is quite nice with an area of coral that you can snorkel at. There are 5 or 6 beautiful pools to chose from. The food is fantastic!!

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Great Vacation

Grounds were beautiful, compact, easy to get around. Resort very clean. Rooms were excellent! Employees were over and beyond. Entertainers were not pushy, just friendly with free hugs! No problems with food, excellent. They had apples and bananas at every bar, nice touch. Entertaining went all evening and into the night and it was all great. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Family Location!!

Spectacular location for families, not suited for couples or the single traveler.. Very well kept grounds, the beach sucked, nothing but rocks and seaweed... Way off the beaten path, if your looking to do 5th Ave. or any off location site seeing, save yourself the trouble and stay in closer to town.. Excellent Echo resort, evening entertainment was always a show, with little interaction with the guests... Best for the quiet traveler..Quinton our agent onsite was extremely helpful

Grand Riviera Princess: Nice resort

Huge resort which we loved, lots of exploring. Beautiful grounds and nice spacious rooms. The food is about a 7/10. Not horrible at all but not gourmet. Service was fantastic everywhere. Upgraded to the Platinum suites and would highly recommend it, worth every penny in my opinion. Be careful when walking around the resort, the pathways are very slippery when wet or dry. This would be my only big complaint. Beach is long and great for walking but yes there is vegetation ashore as well as some sm [... read more]all rocks as you enter in certain places.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: loved this resort

This resort was the cleanest, most beautiful resort I have stayed in. The service was topnotch from all the workers. We especially enjoyed the waitresses in the lobby. They were so friendly and efficient. The bartenders work so hard but still maintain a cheerful attitude, particularly the guys at the beach bar. Food was terrific in all buffets and the 3 al a carts we tried. Especially enjoyed the Japanese one. The only negative I have is the rocky part of the beach. It was great the first few da [... read more]ys when we could swim in an area where there were no rocks but in the later part of the week an undertow there meant we had to go to an area where rocks were an issue. Not a huge thing, just not as good.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: A wonderful resort

The hotel is well maintained, as are the grounds. There is a bowling alley in the mall and a water park for learning to surf (fee). The pools are large and the kids pool is amazing. The food was great.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful, relaxing resort

We had a wonderful time at the Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an. The staff were excellent and very friendly, accommodations were clean and modern, the food was delicious - every meal and the pools were lovely. The chairs by the pool can be reserved quite early in the morning, so I would recommend waking early to land that perfect spot around the pool. Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing resort

Was clean and well maintained. The air conditioner did not stay on while out of the room this made the room and our clothes smell musty. The staff were very friendly and the maids always did a very good job cleaning our room.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Very impressed

This was my first visit to Mexico and from getting off the plane to arriving at the lobby of the Akumel resort was very pleasant.(approx 1.5 hrs but worth it) We were given #71 villa and I would without hesitation say very clean ! After dropping off the luggage off to the buffet WOW. What to choose ... Took me by the end of the week to figure my menu likings.... I would recommend that you book your ala cartes when you arrive so you can get in.. Don Pablo was our favorite .. Spectacular 2nd place [... read more] was Harlequin. We had read before on blogs that you have to get up early and get a lounger by the pool we didnt do that we were at the beach close by the pool/pool bar - It worked well. Everything was in close proximity. The trolly system was good once you figured out getting you to the lobby and other resorts (not hard just have to ask) and by the way we were able to go to all of them enjoying the buffets. This year we went with two other couples next year we are hoping to go with more. Missing Mexico until next year....

Ocean Maya Royale: Wonderful time!

My husband and I just returned from a week's stay, we had a wonderful week. The food and staff are amazing. This was our first stay at an 18+ it was a nice change. The rooms were kept clean and the bed was comfortable. The pillows could have been better, but since there were six on the king size bed we made it work. Also the chair and love seat were quite worn out. But the only time we spent in the room was to shower and sleep so we never had to use them. The entertainment in the evenings were [... read more] good. We really enjoyed dancing on the DJ night. The seaweed has affected all of the beaches in the Caribbean this year. It supposedly happens about every 10 years, something about the ocean cleansing itself. It's amazing how hard they work to clean up the beaches. The ocean appeared to be getting better with each day we were there, I'm sure by next year it will be back to its beautiful self. We took a 15 minute walk and swam in the lagoon, it was crystal clear and beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful stay OMR!

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Awesome place

I cannot say enough good things about the Barcelo Maya colonial in Mayan Riviera. What a great place for everyone to enjoy. Lots to do for all different age groups. Traveling with friends, family or as a couple. this would be a great recommendation for anyone.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great Resort Loved the Swim Out

Can't say enough about how great this resort is. We loved everything about the resort. Our Swim out Room and 24 Hour room service was the best. Grounds were amazing, loved the size of the resort not to big but not to small. Would return to this resort for sure.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: excellent facility

Would be in the top 3 hotels we have stayed. We enjoyed the pool and the pool service. The room was big, clean and excellent room service. The restaurant was excellent with a very good menu selection. The bar had a very good selection and service was excellent.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Outstanding - Fabulous Food, Service, Grounds

The Coba is an extremely large resort and you really do need the trolly system. Absolutely everything was awesome except the beach. It was disappointing in that swimming is at a minimum due to rocks and seaweed. The hotel tried in vane to keep the beach clear but you can't fight mother nature. If you are aware of this before you get there, it is certainly one of the best resorts around. The pools are a good substitute. The staff is exceptional and the food is to be recommended.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Wonderful Property - Amazing everything

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Valentin from April 1-6, 2015. Everything about this resort was top-notch. Food, staff, rooms, pools and beach. The resort was at capacity but you never felt like it was crowded. If you wanted privacy, you got it. If you wanted to be in the mix, you got that too. It's been said before and is so very true - the staff go out of their way to make your experience everything you want it to be and more.
