Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Clean and tidy. Nice food and room, bad wine

The room was nice, the shower was very nice. The cacti gardens were tidy. The buffet was abundant, always something appealing to eat. Great breads! There is only one other restaurant and it required reservations for dinner and the food was totally unpredictable. Eg.a Caesar salad once was a 2 inch square of lettuce with croutons and chicken the next time it was 3 Romain leaves served whole. The wine wasn't drinkable, extremely bad. They didn't have decaf coffee, they brought a jar of Nescafe [... read more] with a spoon in it. No diet coke only diet Pepsi. The beach is unsafe so you can only swim in the pool. It changed recently to an adult only resort and there were quite a few rowdy drunken groups. They have a new all inclusive plus offer that created exclusive areas where regular guests couldn't go, effectively restricting them to fewer amenities.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Terrible recommendation

We told the agent exactly what we wanted and we got sent to a resort that had NONE of that. We wanted to be naked and have sex openly. Got sent to a topless only resort. We had to get a day pass while on vacation to check out a resort that was only 30 minutes away that had everything exactly like we wanted.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Great beaches

Every thing was excellent with the exception of the bathrooms. Bedroom cupboards should be up dated as well as the main entrance area Grounds were great, food was excellent. Lobie activities was dead, need a piano bar or some form of entertainment. Regards, Christine

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful Place

We had the Emerald Suite and it was absolutely beautiful. We had an ocean front room which was quite private. The staff at the hotel were always pleasant and they always treated you as a priority. One of the things that I didn't like was that I was with nine other people (so 10 of us in total) and most of the restaurants wouldn't sit us together. The max they would sit together was 8. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: excellent

food and service were excellent. suggestion would be to have snacks in lobby bar/lounge as its much busier with adult only crowd.our first room the beds were too hard-had to move. overall we loved it again-3rd time- and are going back again.

Moon Palace Cancun: Great hotel, Bad beach

You will love everything in there but the beach is not that good . Lots of seaweed however , you will have a great selection of amazing fancy restaurants , alots of pool , entertainment, clean rooms and amazing staff

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Resort is 2 blocks from 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen.

We were in an ocean front junior suite. It was roomy and we did not hear any noise from the hallway or our neighbours. Everyday the maid made us a new towel sculpture on our king size bed. Staff are key as they will help you regardless of their role. Even the security guard will help adjust the sun umbrella if he is near-by. Every staff member was friendly and eager to serve us. The only drawback is the beach has taken a beating from previous hurricanes. It is small and does not have the same a [... read more]mount of sandy beach as the Hilton across the road. Despite the beach we recommend Panama Jack Resort. It is good value for the price...everyday room service delivered breakfast to our room. At night we ate at the theme dinners but preferred the food , atmosphere and staff at the Italian restaurant. I have already recommended this resort to family and friends.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Good value, great resort

This is still a great resort with lots of activities, especially for families with children. There are a lot of pool and ocean choices for loungers and several water parks for kids. Snorkelling here is still one of the best spots we have found in the Mayan Riviera with lots of fish, turtles and the occasional stingray. The staff are wonderful and bend over backwards for you, they work for very little pay so perhaps think about tipping them. A dollar means a lot more to them than us. The food  [... read more]was good, fresh, and lots of variety, especially good in the a-la-cartes. We enjoyed the large area of the resort, since we like to walk a lot.(this may be a drawback for some, although there are buses to ferry people around the resort. We also enjoyed the mini-golf course, lots of fun. The only real drawback we found was that the bed sheets were polyester, so they did not breath well and were very sweaty for sleeping.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing Resort

This is our 9th time at this resort. It has lovely grounds, great food and very friendly staff. We highly recommend this hotel to people with disabilities as the grounds are flat and very accessible both at the pool and beach.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Wonderful Resort

What can I say about this great resort. Nothing but good things. We have been to this resort at least 12 times. We have stayed in all parts of the resort and enjoyed all areas. The resort is huge so put on your walking shoes. Lots of wild life around and wooden trails through the jungle. Pools clean and lots of them to seat by. There are the really quiet ones and then the ones with all the partying. Bars a plenty. Bartenders excellent. Buffets and alcarts great. The food never disappoints.

El Dorado Casitas Royale: Wonderful

Was awesome but needs to be more handicapped accessible. Food and staff were amazing. Very romantic and you receive the whole pampered treatment which was great. Variety of places to eat and drink was a refreshing option.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Beautiful Resort

It was very good and we had a fantastic time at The Grand. Staffs are friendly, service was great, the gym is nice and amazing spa service. We experienced the honeymoon dinner at Los Tacos. The water park is huge.

Secrets Huatulco: Great Hotel

Everything about this property was wonderful. Food, staff, pools and rooms were all great. Will definitely return to Secrets. Tours were reasonable and quite good. Beach was a little rough and the sand was grainey.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great week!

We had a great week. Food could be better but service was great. Asked about upgrades at check in and got a 1 bedroom suite for free. Beaches are amazing, although vendors get annoying.. most are pretty good with a no ty, but not all. Overall a good resort

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort but avoid the time share concierge team!!!

This resort was very nice and the staff were wonderful. Friendly and very accommodating. We had booked into a Daisy suite but were fortunate to be moved to the El Beso section with a swim out suite as requested as we were there without children and had asked for a quiet area. The low numbers in the 1100 block are perfect for this and are very convenient for the main buffet and most of the restaurants and shops. Things we enjoyed were the foam parties (Currently its Tuesdays in the El Beso pool f [... read more]or adults only and Saturdays in the family Eden pool for everyone) and the Lion King show which was very spectacular and not to be missed. The Teppenyaki restaurant is worth a visit too as the show is very entertaining as your meal is prepared. This was the only restaurant that we had to book ahead of time as space is limited. You only book that on the day of attending unless you are part of their Privilege Club and they have a different process. The seaweed on the beach wasn’t bad this week and they do have a nice section of beach. If you wish to do a little snorkeling from the beach, I would recommend walking a few minutes south to the wooden pier by the Azul property nearby. My only complaint was the constant harassment from the time share concierge team which caused us to avoid the front lobby area as they hounded you there every time you came through. Trust me, there is a reason why they are being friendly and it’s not to be your friend lol!!!! The other annoying thing was the Spa guys who wait right outside the main buffet and push massages in your face both going in and out every time you go to eat.... I wouldn’t mind once a day but two to three times a day over a week gets tiresome after a while.... We usually visit Riu properties and this is the reason I prefer them. No harassment or pushy sellers in your face when you are there to relax.

Riu Dunamar: Beautiful resort Riu Dunamar 1 year old

Housekeeping needs improvement.Better communications between the housekeeping and front desk.The refrigerator in the room not restocked every second day as per the resorts information.The food not that great.Riu has better service in Jamaica,visited 3 resorts there.There was 6 members of the family

Star Palace Beach Hotel: Only if you're deaf!

After arriving on the Sunday, we were pleased to spend the time at the pools, buffets, beach etc. The staff are very helpful, although English was not spoken by many of them.The hotel grounds and rooms were kept very clean. Pools were also clean and lifeguards always on look-out at pools and the beach.Food was OK......... buffets were not always hot, and not a great selection. But there was some great selection for a-la-carte. Starting on Wednesday and going till Saturday, there is a "disco/ba [... read more]r" across the road that has the music so loud that every room hears it. This is until 2am for the four nights. That, on top of College students (at least 70 - 80 of them) staying our last 3 nights, was definitely the last straw. They drank and partied very loudly at the outside pool and on the beach, and in the halls talking, screaming and laughing etc till 5am! We had ear plugs, and called front desk and asked for security to talk to them but nothing happened. Would never go back to this hotel unless the noise issue is resolved. It ruined our holiday completely. We came home so disappointed and I was actually physically ill from lack of sleep. I e-mailed the manager and was told he would look into it. But I talked to a staff member and he said the hotel books these students every year, and always same issues. Wonderful location, clean hotel, friendly staff, decent food. Such a pity about the noise!!!

Riu Flamingos: A comfortable place

Our third time at the Riu Jalisco, and things feel comfortable. Staff were friendly and took time to talk and engage. Food was very acceptable and the speciality restaurants had a good menu.We especially enjoyed the Italian venue. The resort was near capacity so the main buffet dining area was quite noisy at peak times. Breakfast had a wide selection and good omelettes. Rooms were clean and a very comfortable bed (king). The shows were entertaining if a little on the amateur side BUT the bands were very good and played the right music for a variety of dances. The beach area was clean and long walks in both directions along the beach were easy at low tide. Found the beach vendors were not pushy and prices reasonable with a little haggling. A lot of Canadians on site. The resort is showing its age a little but overall it is a great location, not fancy but with a great beach and lots of friendly staff who are able to converse in English. We preferred the resort because of its medium size.

Dreams Huatulco: Beautiful Resort

Wasn't very lucky with my holiday as I was sick for the 1st 4 days.....Staff are accomodating and very friendly.. However none of my special requests were honoured eg...being close to pool and ocean...the only complaint I have is that went we for naps at 3PM and the rooms were never done before 3 and 1 day was missed altogether

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: An Excellent resort

This has been our fourth visit, which reflects how much we enjoy it. Extremely well managed property with friendly staff and spotlessly clean and tidy. Excellent food with good variety and selection for all meals and in-between.
