Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Ok resort

this resort is over priced for over 5K is not offering what you can find at other similarly resorts. pros: rooms, grounds, beech, services cons: running water smells like sewage inacceptable for Mexico resort isn't a small island.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Amazing resort!!

Everything was amazing! The food was so good and always a large variety. The staff was always there for you. Great service at the pool. No need to get up for a drink. The only negative point was the beach, there was a lot of seaweeds.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Super

Can't say enough good. The food, rooms and all the staff are so nice. There is a sea food restaurant where you reserve a la cartes. The restaurant has a few tables for them and a few that are not for the restaurant. We sat of to the side that wasn't for the restaurant and the manager came over and offered us an a la carte meal. I don't care for sea food but I did have the salmon and it was so good we booked another at the same restaurant and I again had the salmon. The best!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good Resort

We had a good time. We stayed in the Koba part of the resort (kids area) which worked for us. We were gold members and enjoyed the better drinks at the club house before dinner. Book your reservation into the restaurants as soon as you get their!!! The Koba was far from the beach but an enjoyable ride on their bus system. The beach was covered with seaweed 20 m deep from shore. The resort was trying hard to clean it up but it was endless - good effort on the workers. The building was new but the contractor must have forgotten his level the day he built the bathroom shower: as water flowed freely around the edge and onto the floor as you were trying to shower. Hint - leave a tip in the fridge and it will be filled every time with beer and chocolates. The shops are expensive compared to the airport - go the Playa del Carmen if your need to. The air transit flight was what you would expect - drop down middle of the plane movies with a poor selection of music - nothing current. My bag was damaged in it handling. The food was good at the buffet.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great jungle/golf resort

This was a great hotel situated about 1 mile from the ocean. We were able to use the facilities at 4 other resorts that were on the ocean so we were satisfied. The food was great, the people were friendly and very accommodating. There was no problem getting shuttles to the ocean. There are costs associated with golfing at this resort. Overall a great property.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Stench on the Beach

Grand Bahia Principe Tulum has gone down in quality since we first went there about six years ago. There were no chips or cookies in the fridges. No towel animals in the room. No longer able to use the facilities at Akumal. The beach stunk because of the seaweed that was not cleaned up. No one used the beaches for a couple of days because of the stench. The Oasis restaurant was terrible .... very little and poor quality food. One of our beds was missing a sheet until I happened to catch a maid a [... read more]nd ask for the sheet. The next day she short sheeted us again. Unlikely to go back again.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: It was an incredible resort to stay at!

The resort had beautiful grounds,great food.good entertainment and nice rooms!The only negative thing I can say about it was that the beach had way too much seaweed!I would go back to this resort again and I would recommend this resort to everyone.:)

This resort was very well kept, food was good, and resort really had great things for the kids. Good shows (especially Michael Jackson show) and shopping area as well. This was our second time back....Would definately go back!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Luxury resort!

The hotel was beautiful and very luxurious! The service was top notch, the accommodations were very comfortable, the food was delicious. The only thing that we didn't like so much was all the seaweed on the beach

Platinum Yucatan Princess: CrazyAmazing Resort

Immaculate property, food excellent and very little to complain about. The unfortunate thing was the beach. Erosion has made the water rocky and sea grass runs to shore everyday. If you walk along the beach there are little pockets to enter water on sand.. It is what you make if it. Certainly didn't ruin our vacation I would recommend this resort to everyone !

Riu Palace Mexico: Fantastic Resort

Great food, grea staff, wonderful nighly entertainement, beautiful decor, great view from our room. Great shopping withim walking distance. The alacarte restaurants were fantastic. The maid service was great.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: A great family vacation!

My family and I just got back from Now Sapphire and had a great time. My daughters are 6 and 12 and neither can wait to go back again. We went on March break and found lots to do. Pool area was large enough so everyone had their own space, but lively enough to feel a part of the fun. Restaurants were wonderful... Buffet was perfect for breakfast or a lunch out of the sun. Service at restaurants and at the pool was exceptional. All staff worked VERY hard to make sure we all enjoyed our stay. The evening movies by the pool were a big hit for the girls. The tennis lessons were wonderful, daily Zumba and pool volleyball were memorable to say the least. Rooms were very large and comfortable. Having cold water and pop restalked in mini fridge each day was great! We arrived at 11 am and room was ready for us to enjoy the entire day.My only complaint was the Beach. Nice to look at, but a crazy amount of seaweed made it a no go for my girls to enjoy. Snorkeling.... Forget about it! We did understand that this was a strange year for the amount of seaweed and staff sure did try their best to get rid of it off the beach, but couldn't control how much was all along the coast! Only 20 minutes from airport. It was an expensive holiday but....We would return again for sure!!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Azul Fives is Luxury Plus Plus!

I have travelled extensively and stayed at many all-inclusives. Azul Fives on the Mayan Riviera exceeded all expectations. We were greeted in the lobby by tasteful and elegant modern decor, friendly and efficient staff and a glass of champagne! The grounds are beautifully kept with walls of colourful hibiscus. Our room was the nicest I've ever seen! A full kitchen with stainless steel Frigidaire appliances (not needed as we ate at the many excellent restaurants.) We had two bathrooms, two tvs a [... read more]nd a comfortable king-sized bed. The living room sported comfortable leather furniture and the sectional couch turned into a bed (maid prepares it every morning and night.) The generous-sized bedroom contained a jacuzzi, and walk-in shower with a waterfall shower head. There were also two balconies with comfortable outdoor furniture, facing one of the many quiet pools located around the resort. The food is varied and excellent. I enjoyed seared tuna for lunch at the Beach Side Grill. Unlike many resorts, you didn't need to make reservations at all the restaurants (only the Italian and Thai) and they also had "adults only" nights. I was impressed with the freshest guacamole and well-prepared dishes. The goat mole at Flavours was excellent! The chefs and servers are constantly working to ensure a perfect dining experience. We were never disappointed. If we ate early and wanted a night-time snack, room service was always prompt. We even pre-ordered room service for breakfast the day we left, as our flight was very early and the restaurants were not yet open. The activity pool and area by the beach always had fun happenings, including a "bull riding competition" for the kids. The drinks at the swim up bars were the best I've tasted at any all-inclusive resort. The margaritas and pina coladas were real (no fake stuff). The spirits were top quality. It is also the first time I enjoyed the house wine at a resort! The bartenders are all so friendly and remember your name and preferred beverage. The beach is beautiful! My son enjoyed jet skiing while I lingered in the clear, warm ocean water. There are always plenty of beach lounge chairs. Even the beach towels provided are great quality! The excursions recommended by the Transat Holidays representative were all top-notch and well-priced. We had an unforgettable experience at Rio Secreto: a beautiful walk and swim through a cave discovered several years ago. We were provided with everything required including wet suits, helmets with lights, and an excellent guide. A lunch of traditional Mexican food was delicious. This excursion was a highlight of our trip. Overall, I found that many things that cost extra at other resorts were included at Azul Fives. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to even the most discerning traveller. I can't wait to visit it again and to bring all my friends!!! Thanks again, Tripcentral.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Amazing resort

We just returned from a wonderful 7 days at Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun. Our room was close to the beach and we always were able to access beach chairs. Elidio our waiter for the beach bar was awesome. He is clearly one of the greatest assets to this resort. He has personality plus and a great sense of humor. We looked forward to seeing him every day as that is where we spent the majority of our time (from dawn til dusk). He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Thanks Elidio!!!! Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort Can't wait to go back

The resort is very nice the property is nicly layed out and very well kept. The pools are very large with lots shaded seats. The food is to die for. My only complaint and it is minor was the quality of the shows, they were not on par with the rest of the resort.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Snorkeling and relaxation paradise

I highly recommend this resort to people who enjoy snorkeling and relaxing. This small gem offers excellent food and nice rooms. The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing. There are many areas where you can sit and just enjoy the moment. During our stay, we’ve seen lots of tropical fish, turtles, stingrays and even and an enormous puffer fish!

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: A Hidden Gem

This is a smaller cozy resort with an amazing location and a superb staff. A culinary delight , the food was excellent . Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere . Extremely clean . We will be back Soon .

Ocean Maya Royale: Over The Top

From the moment we pulled into the drop area of the resort ,l felt welcomed and was glad to see the bright clean open area of the main building.We have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Ocean Maya.The food and staff not just at the restaurant but through out the whole resort had a wonderful and genuine happy personality.We enjoyed all the the places to dine at the resort and probably for us the Italian restaurant on the water with the cool evening breeze was our favourite.The activities du [... read more]ring the day where always filled with laughs and a great staff .The room was spotless and the housekeeping done well.The beds where very comfortable and thats one thing for me that is a must.The washroom large and clean and always prepared by staff. If you wanted a quieter area it was easy to find not far from the large pool and at the ocean front.The entertainment was fabulous and a after dinner piano player in the main building was nice while the evening breeze blew threw the main lobby.We danced in the evening to the local sounds of a band preforming in the main court yard under the stars.With so much to do at the Ocean Maya with daytime activities we only went to Playa d Carmen one afternoon.It was filled with shops and places to satisfy every appetite.I highly recommend the Ocean Maya but always remember your vacation is what you make it... and only 30min from the airport

My fears of Mexico are gone. We had a great time at the Akumal !! The food, the room , the Zumba classes , the beach, the butler,the entertainment and the service staff was all excellent. Well done Bahia Principal Akumal!!!!

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great resort

Vast resort, lots of vegetation, great food and people. We returned for a fourth time but they did not know we were repeat customers although the travel agent advised them and we personally sent the hotel an email. They do not seem to recognize the value of repeat customers which was a little disappointing. We booked in october for a trip in March 2015 and were given rooms very far away from the beach - we were upset as we book early so we can get first pick.
