Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Great resport for families

Something here for everyone. Good hotel entertainment staff, very engaging with lots of activities and enough to also keep the kids busy. If you would like to have an experience away from the kids, then book a preferred room and you will have access to the adults only pool as well as other great benefits. Food and service was good. Beach is OK, not as clear water as in the pictures but that could have just been the time of year.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Trip of a Lifetime!

What an amazing resort. The grounds were lush, and the beach sand like flour between our toes. A wonderful variety of fine restaurants to enjoy, as well as great entertainment. We were probably most impressed with the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. It felt like it was an honour to serve us!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Nice beach front rooms

I stayed here two years ago and it appears that they may have done some work around the hotel. Less tripping hazards, more even walkways. Stayed this time at Block 1 - beach front and loved it. A little noisy on nights there were weddings but otherwise, the view more than made up for it. Food still needs work and can be bland and cold in the buffets.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing Resort

We were a group of 7 and all of us were 100% happy with Iberostar Grand. The rooms were large and really comfortable. The maid service was quick and always left me a happy note as well as chilled champagne and a roses bubble bath. Our butler jesus was always checking on us asking how we were and if needed anything. They would set them up and the chef would bring people dishes of paella.Umberto and Alberto who worked the pool bar always remembered what your drink preference was and even concocted a new drink for us called a Dirty Canadain in Mexico.We even order lemon drop shots at the swim up bar. What fun. We loved the entertainment , service, food and the customer service. Not one complaint from any of us. We all plan on going again. Worth every penny. Thanks Iberostar!

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Not so 'Excellence': Instead an unaccommodating, poor experience

The hotel grounds are lovely, and the rooms are spacious and the beach is nice soft sand. That's where the good stuff ends. There are not nearly enough loungers on the massive beach (maybe this is a by-law?) Stressful trying to get a spot instead of being relaxed on vacation. There are no staff clearing chairs, so towels lay out all day so you aren't sure chairs are reserved or abandoned. The WORST is how the staff handle "situations". We were 9 people celebrating a friend's birthday. On [... read more]e dinner at the Lobster House we were told to be quiet. We had just raised glasses to honour our friend. No obscenities, just happy chatter amongst nine people. A staff member told us in an unfriendly tone that we were "annoying the guests" meaning the table right beside us. They moved them and the staff told us again to be quiet. We literally would have had to be silent or whisper. This restaurant is outdoors, was NOT full, and we were not being obnoxious (trust me, we CAN turn it up if we want to)! The second time I reminded the staff that we too were paying guests. The next night the hotel said they couldn't sit a table of nine - that there was no room in any restaurant. However we could "easily sit as two tables of 4 and 5 in any restaurant." After several of us spoke to staff, they finally gave us a table for nine in Toscana and it was fine. We didn't seem to "annoy any guests". Once 3 of us went into the cafe for to-go coffees. We had towels wrapped around ourselves (we were NOT wet and dripping water). While in line, a staff told us we had to leave. Stunned we asked why and she said there is a dress code. We simply didn't know there was one in the cafe. We apologized and asked if we could order 3 coffees and wait outside. "No. You are annoying the guests without cover ups, you have to leave." How about just a friendly "oh ladies, you need to wear cover ups in here." and when we offer the solution of waiting outside, realizing that is an easy, peaceful resolution? There are more incidences but I won't bore you. We were only there for 3 nights. We aren't disrespectful guests. We all travel a lot and have never had this type of treatment. We got talking to another group of people who were having similar experiences and never coming back. We will not be back. We will not recommend this place. We were a group of mostly couples there for a few days (a break from our kids!), yet the trip was tainted by the rudeness and lack of consideration from the staff for THESE guests. Clearly they are not empowered to problem solve or be accommodating to all guests and the manner with which they chose to engage with us every time, was unacceptable.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Time

Overall a good resort. Stayed in building 5....best one in my opinion (close to the beach, close to beach bar and close to Jaal-Ha Restaurant....waiter Augustine was the best and treated us like gold) Rooms were clean and decorated nicely. Maid service was perfect .....with a new towel animal every day. Beach had some seaweed but was raked and cleaned up every day. As for the a la carte restaurants tried the Italian (very good), Steakhouse (very good food....waiter a little unconcerned/un [... read more]friendly) Mexican (good) Buffet restaurants were good....plenty of choices for everyone. Construction going on at 1 pool....didn't bother us....maybe if you were in building 4 it may have (supposed to be finished mid Dec 2018). Entertainment nightly at Black and White Sports Bar was great.

Secrets Huatulco: Amazing vacation.

Very nice resort, the food, drinks and staff were all wonderful. Our room was nice and comfortable and the maid did a great job. The pool area was really good and huge. Lots of places to sit and lots of areas to get something to eat. Nice private beach. Sand was a little hard to walk on, but nice just the same. Hautulco is a beautiful area.

TRS Coral: Amazing vacations.

Everything was "over the top" . The service was exceptionnal. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The great choices of the restaurants, the quality of the food, the service ( and we were able to go without any reservation which for me was a bonus. I like to eat when I am hungry and not at a specific time). The room was simply amazing. Great spacious room with access to the swim up. Simply pricelesss. With the service of the butler and the 24 hours service for food, it was I felt like a princes [... read more]s. I enjoyed all the little details like the regular hair dryer, the essential oils body and hair products, the steam machine for clothes, the robes and slippers, the fridge always full of all you can ask, lots of water bottles. The Nespresso machine was a +++ for me. We were offered special treats at night; chocolates, Pringles, Snickers. I would definitely recommend this Hotel. Great, amazing vacations. We surely will go again soon.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Thoroughly enjoyed the resort...very nice

Loved the whole area, restaurants were great. A bit of trouble with room service ie cleaning but we worked it out. Lovely rooms . A bit of confursion getting on our ride to the hotel but it was very busy so was expected. All in all had a great time

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort

Really liked the ambiance in here, had a good time to relax! This place is highly recommended for our family and friends, food was amazing and service is top notch. the only drawback is the people from timeshare being too pushy, other than that it was amazing

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Resort that has it all. Except.

Great facilities and location. Beach is spacious with lots of white sand, but water shoes is useful due to the coral. Lots of available chairs to relax in. Food is great with lots of variety, but does not cater very well to Gluten Free, as they simply said "everything has gluten" not very helpful, and did not seem to care except in the Japanese Restaurant. Not a very friendly resort as there was little socializing due to no musical attractions in the lobbies except for the Piano player who wo [... read more]uld play every second night for a short time. Had a hard time getting our room cleaned, as they missed doing it for 2 days, and had to ask them to do it on a third day after 4 pm. For us I thought this was going to be "Our" resort, but we would no go back to our needs of allergies and not a friendly resort.

Secrets Huatulco: Five Star All the Way!

Secrets in Huatulco has beautiful views from every level. The restaurants deliver five star, gourmet dining. The staff throughout the resort are friendly and clearly enjoy interacting with the guests. Events are fun with the Entertainment staff joining in with their antics. Could not have asked for more!

Crown Paradise Golden: Very nice resort

The rooms were good but they should clean the air , there is a smell when you enter the room that s really bad even with the AC on. The food I would say good some of the restaurants for dinner weren't that great like the Medetarian. The buffet wasnt too bad the breakfast was great , did not have any sweet at all bcz flies all over them. They should be covered. The staff is wonderful very happy with the service. I WOULD GO BACK . Over all I would give very good.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Very enjoyable!

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views from every room. The rooms are spacious & beautifully decorated although the glass bathroom walls & window into bedroom was a little strange. The staff was fantastic especially Carlos, Gerardo & Julio in the buffet and Roberto, Julio & Ramon on the entertainment staff!! My only negative comment would be the lack of gluten free options. They need to get more familiar with the need to offer more information & choices. I inquired in one of the restaurant [... read more]s & discovered I couldn't even have mashed potatoes as they used béchamel sauce to make them creamy! Normally, that would have been a safe option & could make someone quite sick if they were not informed. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Now Sapphire Riveria

I found the resort very comfortable and accommodating. The grounds were maticulously kept. The staff were most welcoming and friendly; attending to all of our requests. A beautiful holiday. The beach areas require some attending. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

TRS Coral: Steal of a deal

The wait staff were amazing and prompt with service! Bellmens, conceirge, butler service, and housekeepers were excellt as well. Although, with some of the bars, and other buildings still being under construction we were not able to check out the Chic Cabaret (quite disappointing) or the theatre for live entertainment. Due to construction, we knew we got a steal! The room was excellent, the resort had a beautiful layout, and the food was just lovely. Come Christmas and then on, I'm sure the whole place will be fully finished, and will be even better than when I was there.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: perfect resort---fully pampered

we went to this resort Nov 16-23 2018..we expected a nice beach , good service and decent food...Wow ! they surpassed all our expectations...Alex & Vera the butlers provided excellent service...you asked you received..Their ala carte restaurants were world class...The staff everywhere were accommodating and friendly...We could not ask for better WE WILL BE BACK

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: A Great Time

This resort really cares about you and do their best to ensure you have every comfort offered. The rooms are clean. The scent menu nice and I appreciated the pillow menu. We had 2 fantastic butlers named Alex and Vera who were amazingly helpful. The grounds are gorgeous. The beaches are clean with a towel and drink service. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Amazing Family Vacation

My husband and I went to this resort for a week with our 5 month old son as well as my brother in law, sister in law and their 9 month old daughter. We were nervous about taking the babies to Mexico but had no reason to be thanks to this resort. Besides being very accommodating to families the resort was beautiful, food was amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was set up with a crib, baby bath and bottle sterilizer. We tried every restaurant and enjoyed each one, all of our servers were incredible and the food was delicious. Couldn’t find a thing to complain about. Would definitely go back to this resort even if we weren’t bringing the kids.

El Dorado Casitas Royale: Fantastic Getaway!

The Casitas were private and quiet with dedicated pools. Individual bartenders that got to know you and your preferences. Excellent choice if you want to recuperate from the daily rigours. The good: The food and liquor is well above the average resort food. Pools are clean and we'll maintained. Fuentes Culinary Theatre is worth doing more than once, but is a 2+ hour dinner. There are usually enough beach beds to go around in the Casitas section. If you want one a a main pool, the [... read more]y are usually available at 8 am. The not so good: Even in off season, most restaurants have a short wait (20 minutes or so) to get a table at lunch and longer at dinner. Reservations are not supposed to be required, but are highly suggested if you want a specific one. In 4 orders of room service between us and a group of friends, 2 orders were accurate. Two were incorrect in what was ordered vs delivered. The Casitas are slightly out of the way from the main pools and restaurants. Shuttles mostly take care of this. Other notes: As a general reminder, bring a reusable straw with you to the resort. Most are trying to cut down on single use plastics.
