Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Great resort - too bad the beach area is so small

excellent hotel, mostly friendly staff although the service in the restaurants could be a little quicker, pools were great and the tiny beach area was good. Overall the resort was a great spot for a vacation

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: best ever

Absolutely beautiful resort. Have been to quite a few over the last 12 years and Royalton tops them all. Food was the best. Pools were awesome and all the staff friendly and helpful. My room was big and that shower, loved it.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Better than I thought!

Great food. Great atmosphere. Wasn't overcrowded. Lots of room at the beach and always had chairs available. The pictures don't do it justice. It is much nicer than the picture shown above. Couldn't have asked for a better resort. Friendly and inviting.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Fantastic Resort!

We loved that the resort was full of trees and wildlife! Our room was perfect, the food is great, and the staff were friendly. The evening show was amazing!! Freddy Jackson is a MUST SEE!! My daughter wanted to go into Kids Club everyday. Kids Club put on an Eco Fashion Show that the kids were in, and my daughter also got to be a Princess and Mermaid in the Fantasy Show. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: all our needs were met! amazing!

Highly recommend! Thanks to Gail at trip central for all her help! My family had such a wonderful and super relaxing time! Wish we could have stayed for two weeks! Great food great service and no worries!Ola!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: huge resort

the resort was very nice. stayed in the COBA section and only had access to the Tulum resort as well, not akumal as originally told. trams take you everywhere you want to go, including the beach. it's a great family resort, loud at the pools but fun.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Wonderful resort

The hotel was exceptionally clean. The food was excellent and a lot of variety. The staff was super friendly. The grounds are extensive and spacious. Walking/running path surrounding the grounds. Huge pools. Great beach.We will go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal

This hotel gets a 5 tar or more fro me. I loved it there. The grounds, were done beautiful. My room was kept clean everyday. The food was great. One exception though. We went to the Italian resturant. There really was not alot of choosing on the menu. I found that there was only a buffet to get some pasta. When getting some, it was not cooked. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great resort

Overall our stay was wonderful. The food was great and the grounds and hotel were beautiful. Service for the most part was also good. We did have an issue with our air conditioner which we called about and they sent people to repair it twice however once we got back late at night we would find it non functioning again.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Good Resort

Pool and beach excellant. Food good. Grounds too big for people our age. We found we had to walk too far from our room to the pool and buffet. Standard room was clean and spacious however mattrass was lumpy. We should have upgraded to a Jr. suite as our friends did.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Grand sirenis riviera msya

The hotel was fabulous! The grounds are well kept and the rooms are large and clean. We found the resort huge but didn't have any trouble catching a ride on a golf cart. (Older adults) The shows were well done and entertaining. The food was awesome . Our favourite restaurants were the Japanese and the Steak House. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: First Trip South- It was Amazing WOW!

This was the first time I was ever to a Resort down South in my 46 years of life. I would recommend this Resort to all my friends and Family- Heck we are already planning our next time. The workers are A-1 and Provided A-1 Service. I would actually like to pass on a personal Thanks and my Appreciation to Ivan and Guadalupe, they made my Stay at the resort warm and welcoming. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: This was a beautiful resort and very clean

Rooms were very neat and clean, staff was very helpful and kind. Restaurants were clean and and waitors and waitress were very friendly and constantly wanting to help in anyway. The grounds were very neat and clean, and if not they were always trying to make it look better. The pool was awesome, it was so big and had the lounge chairs in both pools with swin up bars. The only real probelm we had was the ice machine did not work, we told them but it never did get fixed. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Occidnetal Grand Xcaret

The resort was a bit disorienting at first. We didnt find quite a few things until our last couple of days. We also had some difficulty with our excursions. The room was clean and comfortable and the trails within the resort were fun to walk because of the wildlife you would come across.The evening shows were very well done and it was a nice surprise to see different vendors set up around the theatre during a couple of evenings. El Dorado Royale: Wonderful getaway!

Everything about this resort was first class! The food was wonderful and so many different places to eat at which were all great. Service was always with a smile. Our swim up room was perfect for a quick dip and very close to the beach- steps away in fact. We would recommend this resort to anyone.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: It wasn't what we expected!!!

Well, we, 5 families, were there during the March break. Few things that we all complained about. First the safety box that we paid $45 for one week, only for getting the code... totally nonsense!!! The pillows and mattresses were very uncomfortable. The water in the pool wasn't clean enough. There was no sandy beach, indeed. The in room Jacuzzi tub was yellowish that you can't be really used. My son got sick one night and I asked for a soup in the room. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort!!!

Overall the Grand Bahia Principe Coba lived up to and surpassed our expectations.We were guests in the Royal Golden section March 19-26, and upon arrival we were checked in fast and found front desk staff courteous and friendly.Our room was huge with a huge comfortable kingsize bed and large bathroom.We arrived late at night and much to our delight the buffet was open and the food was incredible.Our building was 24b which overlooked the adults pool and was situated close to everything.Staff was  [... read more]very friendly,expecially Abigail in the Golden Lounge and Andres in the Kukulcan Dining hall.The trollys that take you to different parts of the resort were fun and a fast way to get around,we really enjoyed the Hacienda Market .We also took the Collectivo (bus/van)into Playa Del Carman,which cost 70 pesos(about$5)per couple and came back about 10pm also on the Collectivo,it was great about a 30 minute drive and dropped us off at their station a 2 block walk to 5th avenue.The resort is huge,but there are lots of pools and activities to keep everyone busy,we loved the ampitheatre and the nightly shows.Our only disappointment was the large amounts of seaweed which drifted inward off the reefs,not allowing people to enjoy the beach as much as they would like...staff worked extremely hard gathering seaweed up with a frontend loader and rakes and bags,and derserve credit for this ,we enjoyed our last two days at the beach because of their hardwork...We would recommend the Grand Bahia Principe Coba to anyone,thanks for a wonderful stay!!!

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Not What Expected

Knowing this is a huge resort I did expect some challenges, but wasn't ready to deal with the disorganization that we experienced. I found that more often than not, the service / friendliness of the staff wasn't that great. I'm a Pepsi drinker and this resort provides Coke, so on Day 1 made a special trip to the store to buy Pepsi, only to have it stolen from my room the next day. El Dorado Seaside Palms: AWESOME Vacation at this resort.

The hotel room, service, food and entertainment were all excellent. The only negative is the long ride to the hotel from the airport - 60 minutes via private taxi or 1.5+ hours in regular bus with a number of stops.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya: Truley Amazing... Luxury

This resort is truly amazing. The staff takes excellent care of you and very personable. Excellently maintained grounds and facilities. Be sure to get room service for breakfast! Room service delivered on time to the minute every morning. No need to walk or swim to the bar, the staff makes sure your drinks don't run empty and aim to keep you satisfied. Only Con... If you want nightlife, there is not much at this resort although they have a beautiful bar with the capacity to support a good party.
