Palma Real: Amazing Resort

This resort was super clean, well kept. The food is the best compared to other resorts in Varadero. The workers are also well experienced, kind, and helpful. The resort has many things to do especially since it is located in central Varadero, you get the city experience as well. The beach club is great if you want to go swim in salt water while having a few drinks. I enjoy it so much I keep coming back for the wonderful experience.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice weather. Good food. Poor room services

Only complaint about this resort. Room service!! A disaster. Had to ask everyday to have the fridge replenish ( as we need water to brush our teeth), to have towels, to have toilet paper, to have coffee. The big problem is, even when asking, nothing was done. So you need to go to the front desk and ask all the time. Besides that, food is good, resort is nice and had incredible weather

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great resort amazing beaches

Enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, comfortable accommodations and food quality was excellent as well. Lunch buffet, pizza bar and ala carte Japanese restaurant among our favorites. Would certainly return in the future.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great resort

Resort had a lot of great areas to relax. The lobby was very inviting with the lounge areas the led to the lobby and piano bar. Great size resort without being too big. Amazing staff. Nestor did at great job at the lobby bar preparing spanish coffees. Snack bar and beach restaurant easy access from the beach. Rooms had plenty of room with large bathrooms. The bands in the piano bar were amazing and kept the party going. Food at the a la carte restaurants was fair. I felt the buffet was better an [... read more]d had plenty of selection for our party of 6. Mike's coffee shop is a nice touch. Great espresso coffee and a nice area to enjoy the morning coffee. The wait staff in the buffet were always excited to see us and took care of us. Every day was amazing and I did not want to leave.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Still a good a resort

We went to Ocean Varadero for our third time with a large group. When we arrived we noticed that some things were being neglected by staff and management . We spoke to the manger the second day. He wrote a list of items and he actually looked after them. Overall still a great resort. Pros: Nice resort Relatively new Still not run down ( please don't let it get run down!) Memories Jibacoa: Best of Cuba

Hotel is clean and maintained well. Food is good and the location is 45 minutes to Havana and 30 minutes to Mantanzas. This is quiet and a smaller resort with the best staff I have experienced in my travels. We were there a 2nd year in a row and all the staff remembered us and welcomed us back like family.

Hotel Acuazul: Could use improvements

Beds were awful, buffet lacked originality, service was average, many people had no toilet seat and had to flush their toilet with a bucket of water. Many local visitors during our stay. Beach was very nice but beach chair guy was quick at taking the chairs away at 5 pm. There were not bathrooms or food at the beach.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: amazing resort

Very clean and beautiful grounds very nice and friendly people easy access to all play and swim areas over all just great entertainment very helpful. Great service great for kids best looking hotel on the strip great shows.

Starfish Jibacoa: fantastic snorkeling from resort

My daughter and I spent one week here - March 9-16/15. We were very happy with this resort. Considering it is a 3 star, we were quite satisfied. We stayed in the apartment, and it was clean and spacious enough for 2 people. The beds were a little larger than twin, but not as big as double. They were comfortable enough, no pillowtop of course, but we slept fine. The staff was friendly. The food...it was ok. Nothing great but we always found something to fill us up. The pastries were good and the  [... read more]omelettes were great in the morning. Drinks were awesome. Odd that you can't get beer on tap at the lobby bar (only the pool bar). Beer is $1 at lobby bar (by the bottle). Iced coffee and chocolate monkeys are delish! We chose this resort for the snorkeling and were not disappointed. Although it was either red or yellow flag day everyday we were there, we still went in, usually in the morning and it was excellent. Unfortunately there were portuguese man-o-war there. We learned to scan the ocean occasionally to see if there were any around. We did see one man get stung during the week were there. I'm sure it's quite painful and scary. We wore wetsuits which did protect a good part of our bodies and made us feel a little better. We received 2 large water bottles in the room upon arrival - that's all you get. You have to take them to the bar to refill. We were not impressed one day when we took them to the bar and we given 2 "new" bottles of water from the back, then realized they were not new bottles, so who knows who had been drinking out of them previously. We cleaned off the top and used them anyway. My daughter went scuba diving from Breezes next door and really enjoyed it. We walked just past the gate and found an awesome guide/driver for a trip to Havana in a '51 Buick. I will post another review under excursions for more details, and will provide guide phone # there.

Hotel Bella Costa: aa ammzing place to spend a vacation

An excellent place for a family vacation Lots of different things to partake in and the pools are excellent. The beach is fantastic and the waves etc are enjoyable. The units are not americanised but comfortable and bright. Staff is always busy keeping thing in order and friendly. The Breezy Costa Brava is an oldert holiday resort but still gives good service. Food is variable and changes frequently very satisfying and interesting

Brisas Del Caribe: Good value for the money spent

Staff was amazing!!! Hotel could use some cleaning up by painting and upgrading the rooms. Need more kitchen grills for the cooks to work more efficiently - pancake and omelette line ups very long. The washrooms did not have any paper towels to wipe your hands.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing Resort

We stayed on the Royal Service Side of this resort. I have not one complaint. Food was amazing, service was excellent. If you don't like crowds, this is the side to be on. Chairs at the pool or beach not a problem. Our suite was beautiful and had a wonderful Ocean view. The restaurants were good, we enjoyed a la carte dining every night. Muthu Playa Varadero: Resort needs a good up dating

The hole resort in my mind needs a good up date , window doors paint concrete every where , the pool bar was out dated the swim up bar was close due to old tiles and that kind of stuff every where , service at the bar was terrible !! Didn't get a new towel all week !! Food was poor in my eyes ! First time in an all inclusive :))

Brisas Del Caribe: Amazing resort for the price!

cheap price for all inclusive resort. the rooms in the north section are best or near the lobby. people are very nice. dont expect amazing food its edible. you go to cuba for the weather and beach anyway

Resonance Blu Varadero: It was ok

The resort was laid out well with well kept grounds. Check in was smooth. Rooms were dated and in need of repair(not just mine I was in a few and they were all in that state) food safety was horrible, great staff.

Hotel Acuazul: wonderful little hotel very close to downtown

close to everything,wonderful staff but no washrooms @ beach bar/ie beach. 4 minutes to hotel to beach and gorgeous beach.decent food bit bland ,brekkie excelent,close to flea market-right nxet door,helpful staff satelite tv and a/c and lots of hot water.stayed feb 6 to 13 2015,wonderful night time shows 3/4 hr +- street side +- noisy a bit for some people. Very Cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brisas Del Caribe: will not return..... 3* at best not a 4*

grounds: not always clean (plastic glasses & plates are not picked up for days) beach is nice but not cleaned on a regular basis some of the beach chairs are old with tears and should be changed we had to change rooms 3 times due to problems with a/c and water pressure in the shower was poor food: very repetitive not many choices lack of bagnos near beach or pool stayed at many different hotels in Cuba (Varadero,Holguin,Cayo CoCo,Cayo Guillermo,Cayo Santa Maria,and with another Brisas in Santa L [... read more]ucia it rates as the worst......

Melia Varadero: Resort worth the rating!

This resort lived up to what our friends had mentioned during their visit a coupe of years ago. Right upon entering the entrance gave an impression of luxury. The food in the Buffet had plenty of variety and we really liked the Japannese alacart restuarant. Plenty of friendly staff to take care of our needs.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great Resort

This was our first time visiting Cuba and had a fabulous time. The resort is nicely laid out and the beach is fantastic. We had no problems finding chairs/shade or drinks on the beach. Our room was nice and spacious. Thanks to Rosie for keeping it clean and doing the towel artwork. We had no problem finding a variety of food at the buffet and the cheese station was great! Will miss Leonardo's smile and welcome no matter what the time of day was. We went on the double decker to Varadero and the market is a great place to pick up souvenirs. Also did the 1 day trip to Havana which was also good, but not much time to shop. This is a beautiful and clean resort with friendly staff. Will definitely return!

Playa Caleta: Passable resort

This is a 2 star at best - but - room is ok - in Cuba you must watch your diet regardless of where you eat and drink only bottled water. Beach was good/bar was great/people where nice/close to downtown/pools where fine. Room/Sun/Beach/food/pools and the Ocean - what more can you want
