Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Very Nice/Friendly

The rooms were very clean and tidy. Bathrm though very serviceable could have had better lighting We did enjoy the fact that the restaurants etc were all centralized and easily accessible. Pools terrific and the bar service good considering there was an overlap of guest's one or two days which made it difficult a few times to get a drink...The elevators, though were not used with frequency were rather in need a repair, the stairwells needed cleaning and paint. The front desk staff kind and helpful as well as the in lobby bartenders were very obliging with requests. Overall we had a lovely holiday and great memories were made. Thanks

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: amazing resort

The resort was amazing! Food really good! Some of the rooms need to be upgraded but still very clean. I have stayed at many resorts in Mexico and the only negative comment I have is that I found the staff at this resort not that friendly.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Nice resort

The Resort was nice. Noisy near building 15 and 16 with construction going on though and this is where our room was. Rooms are clean and spacious. The food was very good , Thai restaurant was our favourite, and the staff around the resort were amazing . Unfortunately the front desk charged me for 3 bottles of wine which i did not have and no one at the Hotel is getting back to me regarding this situation. Very disappointing ! Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: sprawling

Hotel was well kept and ran very smoothly, however the elevator in our building was out of service for four days and our room as on the third floor.The room was clean but needed a little updating. Staff was very accommodating.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Amazing!!!

We stayed at this resort from March 14th to 21st, 2015. The resort is extremely beautiful and big. The rooms were beautiful and the food was great. I had read the reviews before I left and was a little worried. Needless to say, I think the people who were complaining must have been at a different place. Yes, there is lots of walking, but who wouldn't want to walk around such beautiful lush grounds. We stayed in building 19. We had monkeys on top of our balcony 3 our of the 7 days (a mother and h [... read more]er baby). We saw flamingos and a deer who was about two feet away from us, while walking down to the beach. We visited the ruins on site, which were great. We visited Xcaret park next door. We only did one day, which was enough to see everything we wanted to see. We also swam the underground caves at the park, which was a blast!! We went back in the evening for the show, which is a must see. The resort has a movie nightly and then afterwards at 9:30 a live show. Most of them were kind of cheesy but the Michael Jackson one was really good. We didn't eat at any of the al la carte restaurants, just the buffet restaurant, which was really good. They had different themes every night. There is a huge variety of food, so there is no excuse for not finding something you can eat. The staff was amazing. Although tipping is not required, we did tip and often. It surprised me how many people don't tip. These people work for peanuts and a few bucks shouldn't make or break you, but is huge for them. We tipped the maid daily and the pool bartenders who brought us drinks, as well as at the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There is really nothing bad I can say about this resort. We had an amazing time. Oh, by the way, we were able to get FREE wifi in our hotel room, in the lobby and at the pool. Not sure what all the complaints were about the wifi because if we could do it, everybody should be able to do it. The "vacation club" people at our building tried for a good solid two days to get us to go to the "special breakfast" or to get "special gifts", but we declined, and then adamantly declined the second day, and then they didn't bother us. I would totally recommend this hotel for family or couples!!!

Riu Lupita: Fun in the Sun

This resort's staff really works hard to make their guests feel welcome, happy and well-fed! We ate and drank well, and the kids loved the self-serve ice cream all day long. Not fancy, but completely relaxing and we enjoyed every minute.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Quiet beautiful resort

The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained. The adult only section really felt like you were at an "adults only" hotel. The beach is the only negative comment we have as the seaweed on the beach and in the water was terrible. They worked endlessly in it daily but the amount was just too much to remove. The beach itself was sandy but the smell of the seaweed made it not pleasant to be on. If you like swim up rooms with exceptional service and don't care about the beach its a nice place to go.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Awesome resort

This is a great luxury resort. The rooms are modern, the food is unbelievable, the staff are the best and I would go back there in a heartbeat. You are pampered from the moment you walk through the door. You can do as little or as much as you want. Loved it!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great vacation!

The grounds are well maintained and clean. Food was good, A la cartes were hit and miss. Room was cleaned daily and most staff were friendly. Beach was full of seaweed, but no big deal, can't control the weather.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Couldn't have asked for better!!!

Having stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an, I was blown away by the great service, food, drinks (premium drinks were included) and a wonderful room. We had our own private beach to ourselves and the weather was great. No stress on finding a lounge chair. Some people complained about the transportation to the beach but we had zero issues. Every minute someone was always there to pick us up. The Pools were great and if you wanted tranquility or amusement in the water, all pools had a di [... read more]fferent vibe. Golf wasn't Free like they said. $100 USD was a little crazy but the course was outstanding. If you are looking for good entertainment, they had shows going on every night but at a sister resort. This could be frustrating but your are on vacation. Go and explore and enjoy the other resorts. Overall a good experience and I should we return back to Mexico we will most likely stay there again.

Catalonia Yucatan: Nice budget Resort

This is a well established Resort with lovely, mature grounds. The rooms are spacious and well organized into blocks. There are many options for enjoying the sun and Sea, however if you prefer pools there are several and all well located. Dining choices are good and the staff are excellent!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: 5 Star Everything!

This was our first trip to the BP Akumal. The resort is breathtaking, from the arrival at the main lobby to the amazing views from the beach and the impeccable grounds. The entire property was spotless. A true luxury resort. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Everyone from the front desk to the wait staff in the restaurants to the grounds crew seemed to go out of their way to make our stay pleasant-even if it was just providing directions to an attraction. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great vacation!

The GBP Riviera Maya was awesome! The food was very good and the venue clean and beautiful. My two teenagers and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff would cater to all your needs and the weather was simply balmy.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Awesome Resort Awesome Vacation!

We had an amazing time at the resort! Lots of things to do - water polo, ping pong, dance lessons, sailing, silly games, snorkeling, and more! There were nightly activities/shows too! I liked the Musical review night. The food was amazing! Such a variety and the specialty restaurants were good. We didn't like the Sushi place but the Steak place and the Mexican were wonderful! White sandy beach, beautiful weather and very kind people!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Good Resort

Very good family resort. Kids club is outstanding. Good filler shows in the evening, and good entertainment on the beach. Considering my high standards, restaurants are average. Stay at buffet and you will not miss a thing. Steep stairs in the pool made few people scratch their legs. Wave pool and water park are a joke. We stayed at building 50 which was super quiet and closest to the beach. There were no problems to get a spot in shades on the beach.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Vacation at last! Yes, it's true, after 30 years.

I have not travelled in some 30 years... long overdue you say - yup it's true. My niece and I said "we have to do something about this". So off we went, to Mexico, in specie Gran Bahia Principe Coba. Beautiful resort, clean, friendly staff, accommodating beyond your wildest imagination - your wish is their command!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: 2nd time to Iberostar Paraiso Beach

We vacationed at Iberostar Paraiso Beach last year and enjoyed our stay enough to want to return again this year. There are nothing but good things to say about this resort, from the great food in the buffets and a la carte restaurants, the huge pool, (you never felt crowded), beautiful grounds, enjoyable evening shows and hard working staff. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Best Vacation Ever

We really had the best vacation ever at this resort. We just got back from the Bahamas Sandals and we loved this even more (although the beach in the Bahamas is nicer). Beds were comfy and we slept great (cots are hard as a rock as an FYI). The pool and activities were super fun. The food was great. Best part was Jose our waiter. Our five kids adored him and couldn't wait to go back for breakfast to be entertained by him. The restaurants were great fun. Catalonia Yucatan: Excellent All-Inclusive Resort

We stayed for 7 nights recently at the Catalonia Yucatan in the Riviera Maya.We would return to this resort in a heartbeat - excellent food; service and atmosphere. We never waited in line for anything and were served with smiles and respect. The buffet was great and the Japanese restaurant was excellent. The terrace restaurant was also fab and so was the Mexican restaurant...it was all very yummy. The only downfall was the wi-fi strength and reliability. One thing that did bother me a bit was the sales pitch guy for what I understood to be was buying into time-shares -- very pushy but we just said not interested thank you. The beach was great - a bit sea-weedy but not too bad - they tried there best to keep it maintained.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Very Good All Inclusive

Very clean small resort with friendly polite staff. All the food was fresh and delicious. The service was better than any resort in the area. Beautiful rooms all facing the ocean. Step out of your room right into the ocean for excellent snorkelling and SUP. Highly recommended compared to other monster resorts in the Myan area.
