Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Excellent resort

This was our 7th trip to DR and it did not disappoint. We decided to try something new and looked for new resort to try. Sensatori was excellent. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. Rooms were a good size - a little on the plain side but very functional (balconies were very large with nice views). The pool and beach area was excellent. The beach area was one of the best we have been at. The infinity pool was beautiful and provided an excellent atmosphere with the ocean in the backdro [... read more]p. Restaurants were all good, with some being excellent (K-23). Breakfast buffet had something for everyone. The adults only lounge was a nice touch where you could go in, have a nightcap (or two) and listen to some excellent performers in a nice quaint atmosphere. Overall, we would recommend this resort to couples or families alike. We had an excellent time.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: So much fun

This was our first trip ever and it was one to remember the weather the ppl the drinks night life the hotel We're beyond my expectations I would definitely return ❤️❤️❤️It's was 32 daily we did waters falls jet ski zip lining saw the town and how the ppl live meet great staff and new friends

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Second time

Beautiful grounds, great service, good buffet, good live shows, horrible a le cart restaurants.Beach was perfect. My massage was awful the worker had a fingernail that scratched and the room was freezing

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: This is a beautiful well kept resort

On arrival we were promptly taken care of.Unfortunately when we got to our room it was on the ground floor and I had specifically requested not to be on the ground floor. The front desk promptly took care of this and we were given an upgrade to a third floor room overlooking the beach. The room was well maintained each day. The restaurants that we went to were very good and the food was excellent. Hotel staff were very courteous and friendly and were constantly checking to ensure that everythin [... read more]g was going well and that we were enjoying our stay. My only disappointment was the beach area as the water was rough pretty well every day, so we could not go into the ocean as the "red" flag was up.The beach itself was nice for getting the sun as they had lots of beach chairs and activity. We did make up for it when we went on the day tour to Saona Island and the Blue Lagoon. That made up for not being able to swim at the resort beach...All in all, it was a very enjoyable vacation and I would return to this resort.

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Amazing Resort!

The resort was amazing, the food was great, the staff went above and beyond.. the layout of the hotel is set up in a way that everyone is close to everything and every room has a great view. The beach is small but there is a big beach 10 minutes away

Riu Merengue: Resort has gone down in quality

After going to this resort 4 years (and loved it) we went again in Jan 2018. Huge disappointment. Rooms smelled of mold, food was absolutly horrible, and the a la cartes were worse than the buffet. Lineup for dinner reservations were full by 7am each day. We did find out that the resort was closing in June as it was bought out. Hopefully improvements will be done then. On a positive note, the pools were all clean, great entertainment and beautiful beaches. Staff were all amazing and friendly.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: We have been there before & we would go there again .Everything was to our liking

this hotel is very clean & well maintained . The maid was excellent . The food & staff were great with great varieties per day .The staff was the best from the check in to the food hostess ,waiters etc bartenders . We loved the beach & the pools were clean & well maintained . The shuttles were running very fast with little waiting .

Occidental Punta Cana: Beautiful Grounds

This resort is beautiful! The grounds and pool are very well maintained. Entertainment in the stage is very good but not much for entertainment in the main lobby bar. Food selection was not great but not too bad. Our biggest complaint would be water in the bathroom for showering. In the afternoon there was little to zero water ... seemed to be a regular occurrence. Overall, I'd rate this hotel a 4.0 / 5.0

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great resort great time

Was a really wonderful time. Room pool and beach exactly what pics showed. Food good...no one in a group of 12 felt off in any way. Resort small which is nice and what we wanted. Clean. Pretty. Not a party so don't go if that's what you are looking for. Great small resort. Clean. Great good. Lovely people. Sunwing flights back and forth was flawless. Le Sivory: Relaxing and beautiful.

Great rooms located almost on the the beach. Exceptionally friendly staff. Very good dining. Long quiet beach perfect for walking. Will definitely recommend this hotel to couples and anybody seeking relaxation, comfort and personal service.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Amazing resort

Great resort, grounds we're huge, food was excellent, staff were amazing. The entertainment staff are very good they greet you every day and call you by your name. The service medetarinian restaurant is very slow had to wait over an hour for our food.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Fun Resort

Pros - fun resort, easy to get around, great staff, very nice beach, good selection of food and drinks, nice cafe. Cons - not enough chairs available at pool or beach, a couple people in our group had stomach issues.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Love this place

The Bahia Samaná was glorious. Once we settled into our correct rooms we started to enjoy our trip. The food was the best ever experienced at an all inclusive.the staff were super friendly and helpful in every part of the resort. The beach is small and most people save chairs with palapa early but bathing in the sea was marvellous but could get rough. We had a great time

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Not what I was expecting!!!

This hotel was beautiful as far as landscaping and garden areas. The food was fairly good and the service was good, but for 2100.00 a person far far overpriced. The hotel is old and shows it’s age. Rooms and are in bad shape and furniture was falling apart. We have stayed at 5 star resorts only a few yes old in Punta Cana and Mexico . Excellence playa mujeres last November . Absolutely gorgeous and payed less. Was quite dicipointed in that respect. 😂😂

Occidental Punta Cana: Good Resort

We were happy with the room, pool and beach. We asked for the phone to be connected but it never happened. We drink diet coke and it had limited availability. Our friends had questionable service from their section (11) concierge but section 22 for us, the young man was very accommodating. Overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing resort

There was nothing we didn’t like. Food was excellent, property impeccably kept and room was clean. Large resort and beautiful beach. Can use facilities at Riu Merengue as well. Live entertainment every night.

Weare Cadaques Bayahibe: Would not waste the money!!!

Before I start I just want to say that we are not picky prissy travelers. We have been down south about 15 times and this was the worst we have experienced. Both my wife and I along with another friend and another 3 people that we know of were very ill one day and ended up spending the day in the room as we couldn't be far away from a toilet. As I said, we have been down south 15 times and this is the first time we were ever ill (when it wasn't self inflicted). had to either been the food [... read more] or something else contaminated. The resort itself was very beautiful and maintained nicely. The beach was nice but you need water shoes. The room was OK and the bed was comfortable. The worst part was the service in the only restaurant on the resort. You would go in and sit down and wait 15-20 minutes for a coffee. It is not like they didn't know you were there because they came by 3 times and asked if you wanted one. They were constantly running out of clean cutlery and dishes and there did not seem to be any urgency in getting you any. There was however one waiter named Luis who worked his butt off and gave you great service. The Sports bar is a joke. They have a menu of about 10 items but any given day, they only had 3 available. 2 of the items was pizza which they were always out of but yet you could get it in the buffet???? Also ran out of ketchup on Monday and still had none when we left on Friday morning. I have experienced this sort of thing in Cuba but the shortage would only be a day or so. I would not return to this resort. Its too bad because there is a lot of potential.

Riu Merengue: Great resort

Liked everything there other than when sitting at tables aroud the bar as ashtrays, cups etc. would sit there, every once and a while somebody might come around and clean your table for you. Other than that I would say it was EXCELLENT!!! ESPECIALLY THE STAFF!!!

Riu Republica: A 3 star resort

This resort is very large and not suited for people who are seniors with any type of walking disability. We fit this descriptor and were assigned a room a distance away from the lobby, restaurants and buffet The food was good especially the buffet. The liquor is not premium unless it is stocked and you ask for it. The rooms were quite comfortable and clean. The shower water was not consistent in temperature. One minute it would be perfect in temp and the next minute the water would be scalding h [... read more]ot. This would continue throughout the shower. Approximately 90 % of employees at the resort do not speak or understand English. A very major problem when ordering drinks or trying to resolve problems.There were no do not disturb signs and the cleaning staff would be banging on your door quite early followed by the fridge stocker. Not very relaxing. When the Maids ran out of clean glasses on their carts they washed the glasses in sink water and replaced them on the tray. This caused me illness for 6 and a half days due to water bourne protazoa. This resort is listed as a 5 star. In my experience this resort is a 3 star.

The Level at Melia Caribe: Disappointing

The resort is beautiful and well maintained. However, management is totally disorgannized. It took 3 hours to get our room. 10 couples that arrived after us got their room while we were kept waiting. Had to make a bit of a scene in order to get a room - and this is The Level ! Supposedly an upgraded experience. The room was nice but we they tried to put us in the regular section after having paid and booked the Adult Only section. We refused until we finally asked for the manager. The ro [... read more]om was nice and the maid service was great. Never heard or seen a “butler” or someone to answer any questions. The restaurants are all very similar serving barely warm food. American Grill and Agora were the exception. The beach and pools are nice. The gym would regularly have no water or towels. The resort is huge and takes a day or two to find out where everything is. Entertainment is lacking and not communicated so you never know what or where something is going on. The main lobby bar has some hustling waitresses. You ask for a beer one night, no problem. The next night, a waitress tries to collect $4.00 for a beer after saying only El Presidente is free. Once I told her to get me an El Presidente like the previous nights, she dissapeared and never came back. I believe she was trying to pocket $4.00 for the free cerveza. We had a great experience at another Melia resort 2 years ago (Paradisus Punta Cana) but this resort will make us reconsider going back to a Melia resort. Warning the pathways are extremely slippery when wet. Saw at least half a dozen people with cast on their foot after a slip. Most concerning is the staff at The Level reception take passports away for an extended period of time to process the check-in which most guests felt uncomfortable about.
