Grand Decameron Panama: Beautiful ocean views very scenic

Very large hotel lots of walking which we didn't mind. Staff friendly but very little englishspeaking. Rooms were dirty we stepped on shards of glass twice in our room. You get what you pay for. Very out of the way

Overall a great experience,good food options ,modest rooms ,very very clean and the staff were excellent we met lots of return guests.because of its size every block had access to their own pool area and food options.we found it to be a good resort for good value through trip central

Grand Decameron Panama: Beautiful resort

This was our 2nd trip to royal decameron panama..grounds beautiful and clean..food so so. .not as good as last time ..staff..exceptional in most AL a carte .not so good anywhere else...if AL a carte ..servers can do English why can't buffet staff..not many will acknowledge your presence unless spoken to...had to ask for coffee most days..felt very ignored..pool staff were the best..fun and entertaining.. staff including management need to acknowledge their guests while walking around resort..we  [... read more]found if we did not say hello first..no one except pool and maintenance staff spoke first..to management...many of you standing around talking in different areas not acknowledging your quests. Shame on you..we as guests are the ones keeping you open...buffets need needing to keep birds out..many few in at breakfast and staff just laughed. .landing on people's plates or were just be a nuisance..this is a major health and cleanliness violation...I worked in people service all my life..food..bar..weddings..special receptions...if we acted like the majority of your staff do including yourselves..we would have been fired..we will return but only for the sun and the accommodation. .maids were wonderful..just remember...if you don't have guests coming back you won't have a hotel..don't turn your back on English speaking countries. .I'm proud to be a Canadian but I'm not french ...

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Nice Small Resort - Relaxed Resort - Good location

Nice small resort with relaxed atmosphere and great location. Food is good with lots of variety ,although the the warm food at buffet/ main dining area could be kept hotter. Saturday check in was not smooth and poorly controlled as we came in with a large crowd on a Saturday, which I understand is the day with the largest group checking in. keep in mind you will not get your room before 3 pm , so bring your change of clothes in a carry on . You are able to walk to stores across the street and to [... read more] the downtown which is approximately 30 min away. Thursday night in town is the Art Walk , worth seeing . Easy to get onto decent local buses in the area for downtown or Cabo San Lucas, cheap. Rooms at the resort are nice and clean ,fridge is stocked with pop, Water and beer, you can ask for water in place of pop and or beer. Beach is great for walking , cannot really swim in the Sea though. Need US funds or pesos. MasterCard works sporadically.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Awesome Resort!

We really liked this hotel and resort. The grounds were beautifully kept and the hotel was clean and well maintained. The rooms were quite large and very nice. The food was very good and the buffet had lots of variety, however, there was only one other restaurant. It would have been nice to have one more. There was lots of seating around the beautiful pools and also on the beach. The entertainment at night was also very good!

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Trip was Great!!

The grounds and rooms were very clean!! Very friendly hotel with amazing staff that made you feel at home!! Beautiful beach to take long walks. Omar is great bartendar along with entertainment staff. Micquel our waiter was always there asking us what we wanted even before our drinks were empty!!

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Disappointing

The hotel is a 3 star at best. We had a great group of people which made everything better but it was limited in amenities even water. Service was poor, food was not good. There is only one a la carte.

Grand Decameron Panama: Royal Decameron - Panama - WoW!

The Royal Decameron Resort in Panama is a magnificent resort. Weather was very hot in February. We stayed in the Villa, near the golf course. Rooms was small but adequate for the vacation. Clean and well kept. Everything about the resort, was very enjoyable. It is a very big resort so be prepared to do a lot of walking. They do have a shuttle service that you can get at any of the 3 lobbies to take you around and shorten your walking but the walk is relaxing. Free Wifi is also available in all t [... read more]hree lobbies, slow sometimes but it works. The 10 restaurants have a large varieties of delicious foods. You have buffets for breakfast and lunch in the main restaurants, just walk up and enjoy. For dinner you need to make reservations at the restaurant of your choice. You can reserve for up to 3 days ahead at any of the 10 restaurants but you nee dto book early to get the time you want. There are some small issues with language, not everyone speaks English, but in the end the message always got across. The 2 pools are very big and inviting. They also have 2 smaller pools, including one adult only pool. The beach is also right there if you want the ocean. Swimming in the ocean wasn't possible due to large undercurrents and jelly fish. At night there are several things to do. There is a show on the main stage every night, plus smaller things throughout the resort, movies, musical performers, etc. Good for all ages but perfect for adults. The resort also have an amazing golf course...MantaRaya. Book in advance through your travel agent to get the best deals...and you can set your tee times in advance through email directly with the course. Overall great place, very safe and reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed. Loved it.

Smaller resort but very nice. Airport and check-in was extremely busy on Saturday so be prepared for long waits. The resort has friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, and a nice beach but it's not suitable for swimming. The pools are lovely.

Grand Decameron Panama: Great Resort

We found the staff in this resort extremely friendly and pleasant. The grounds were very clean as were the rooms. Lots of activities during the day to keep you busy. Beautiful scenery. Would go back in a heartbeat!!!.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Fabulous, Awesome !!

Wow, not sure where to start, as it was as fabulous. This resort was exactly what I expected from reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and is definitely more than a 3 star. This was our first trip to Jamaica and we were totally impressed. The food was unbelievably delicious, especially the jerk chicken (at the resort and at Scotchies, a must go to restaurant). We liked the idea that you had the option to reserve more than the usual 3 times you see at other resorts. We loved the cottage idea, as we felt like we were camping so to speak. It was more private and less noise associated with a motel style room. The rooms as noted by others are dated, but are kept very clean. Always plenty of clean towels daily. The grounds were beautiful and kept in great shape by the groundskeepers. Wifi reception was great. We were able to access it in our cottage, on the beach, at the buffet, just about anywhere on the resort. Never an issue logging in or out. There are four beach cove areas to choose from, so lots of room to lounge and swim. There was an overabundance of loungers, which I have never seen before. It was nice not having to get up early to snag a lounger. This resort was in close proximity to several excursions and shopping. We did the Dunn's River Falls and Blue Hole and Secret Falls excursions. Both were great, but we enjoyed the Blue Hole and Secret Falls more, as there was more to do (ie. jumping in, rope swing, etc.), more leisure time. The only down side with Dunn's River Falls, is the exit from the park is through lots of vendors, directly through them, no way around, and you really get pestered. I'm all for vendors, but say in a separate section to one side so one can choose to visit them, not be steered directly through their path to exit the park. Because of this I would not return to Dunn's River Falls. There was no problem with this at Blue Hole. Overall this resort is excellent and we are thinking of booking there again next year!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great resort, extremely good staff

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The resort is clean and comfortable, lots of activities to participate in, if you're interested in that sort of thing. The food is good/average but lots of variety. The beach and common areas are quite beautiful, lots of room by the Adults Only pool. Location is great, close to the airport and easy walking distance into Bucerias. I would stay here again!

Good things about the resort: staff are hard workers, like their uniforms for their position of their jobs and friendly. Good food, love the airport is close by but when people goes through customs not able to step out side for a cigarette. Liked when they had a movie night ( outside) it was awesome for young at heart and youngsters, The Look Club to entertain the kids! Things that need improvement are as followed: 2 keys per room, stock fridge with water and pop no extra fee, safety deposit box [... read more] no extra fees, check all room for hairdryers to be in top running orders, check toilet so water is not continuing running, box of kleenex and radio in the rooms so we can do our on wake up calls. Shuttle bus on the resort should be running at a 15 min time from for people who can't manage the stairs or the heat! Hard Rock Cafe should not be on the brochure since it is no longer there ( faults advertising) More noticed area for smoking area to make these clients happy too. More people to run the al la carte for clients to take a number, for the clients to get through the line quicker, more than 6 items for the al la carte. Have notice if not able to book for the al la carte for clients to have 2 buffet restaurants for walk in during dinner time! More people (staff people) to understand English! More cloth lounge chair around the beach and around the pool. If you like the weather being extremely hot than this is the place to be. More help at the bars! Would I recommend this hotel I would say maybe not a definite yes or no. There was no welcome gift in the rooms, it would welcome the guest!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Another Wonderful Trip to the Royal Decameron

This was my 6th stay at the Royal Decameron. Another stay in Paradise :-) Like the hundreds of others that come back year after year, this will not be my last visit. The resort has a wonderful charm. The staff are simply amazing. If it can be done, they will do it for you. They are such wonderful people, they become like a second family. They constantly clean everything. You can't miss seeing someone sweeping, moping, painting, cleaning. They are constantly improving and adding to resort. I wo [... read more]uld go back in a heartbeat, and hope that in the future when I retire, I will be able to go down for extended periods each winter, not just my normal 17 to 21 days that I have been doing.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Back again

Returned to the Decameron and was not disappointed. Location is great, a safe walk into Bucerias, to the market or somewhere to eat, bus to PV. Staff are great helpful, food is good, place is very clean and well kept. Go for a long walk on the beach, always something going on. Watch the iguanas being fed every day. It has a lot going for it.

This was our 14th trip to the Royal Decameron Complex. As always, the staff are friendly; the food and beverage is good; the entertainment is excellent; the grounds are manicured; rooms are clean and comfortable. Needs a bit of work regarding a-la-carte reservations, and their house wine could be upgraded. We'll be back.

Grand Decameron Panama: Awesome Hotel

The grounds where always clean and groomed every day. The food was okay we where not use to central american food.The beach was AWESOME we were able to walk a very long way which it something we love to do I'm going to guess it was about 4 miles round trip just loved it.There is a bar on the beach named WOODS'Y AWESOME place owned by three Canadians was Gr8t to stop in on the return walk on the beach.The pools looked Gr8t as well did not go it to the pools as we are beach people.Look forward to  [... read more]going back soon.

Grand Decameron Panama: An average resort

1) Dinner bookings: It is a quite large resort, over 800 rooms. Booking dinner meals is quite involved. We had to book for only 3 days ahead. Waiting in line for well over 1 hour. If unable to book for a special restaurant, we still had to book for one of the two big restaurants, where when we were at this resort two years ago we did not had to do it. Taking an hour from our tiny vacation time because of inefficiencies of the resort are unacceptable! 2) Cleanliness: Level of cleanliness in many  [... read more]common areas like washrooms is unacceptable. Also, rooms were not that spank clean. Local roads for a pedestrian movement were in many places kept in substandard or poor condition (damaged cement surfaces). At the swimming pool for adults only is frequented by large Iguanas climbing on palm trees and defecating down on area where people walk or rest on chairs. When talking with personnel they have indicated that this issue is known to management for at least 3 years but nothing has been done to prevent this from happening. It is quite disgusting to see Iguana defecating from a tree top down where people are walking or relaxing by the pool side. There it is a quick an easy solution to this problem. Just place a metal collars round tree trunks which will prevent Iguanas from climbing up. 3) Safety issues: Coconuts of large size were hanging above on palm trees and ground crews did not remove them despite the fact that on Feb 7 to 8 there were quite strong westward winds. 4) Swimming pool located by the Japanese restaurant is regularly closed down at 4:45 pm despite the fact that on the information placard it seas that is closes at 5:00 pm. Also, why do they close this pool before 5:00 on days when the restaurant is closed? The pool should be kept open to at least 6:00 pm every day! 5) The internet time we have bought worth of 10 hours went out within lesser than 5 hours. It seems to be a case of an obvious cheating here... 6) In many cases the staff seemed to be not much attentive or unmoved to issues and complaints raised by customers.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Pleasant stay at this well kept and managed resort

A very clean resort through and through. Food was good, far from spectacular but a fair amount of variety. Good staff and accomodations. The beach is quite good with a fair amount of palapas and nice sand. The close proximity to the town of Bucerias means walking off resort widens your experience. My only complaint was the cold pools - they were too cold to enjoy. The ocean was warmer. I understand that the pools will be hot in the summer but why not use some solar heating in the winter?

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Most comfortable feel resort we've been to

Have visited the Royal Decameron Complex 10 times now and will be visiting many more. We have been to many different resorts in many different places and enjoyed them all for the most part, but the Decameron is definitely our favorite. Thank you to all the staff who are absolutely the biggest difference maker.
