Don Lino Hotel: This Hotel should be advertised as for SMOKER ONLY.

I have been to Don Lino 4 times in the last 6 months. The food is OK for a 2-star hotel However there ARE NOT vegetables, therefore many Canadian have stomach problems. There is a very limited amount of fruits. I have never seen one banana. The worst of all is that every day there is NO Electricity for 4 or more hours. In the last two weeks of my last stay, there was no TV. When I was at Don Lino in November, after the power was disconnected in about 10 minutes the hotel started its own generato [... read more]r. However later in December, February, and April, the hotel did not start its own generator when was the power failure. If there is no electricity the Bar is closed. It looks to me that the Management is making savings by NOT serving any drinks. Because I have a very bad allergy to cigarette smoke I could not enter the Bar, I could not enter the lobby. People smoke in the lane to the restaurant. Therefore, I strongly recommend for people with a alergy to cigaret smoke stay away from DON LINO.

Playa Pesquero: good resort

nice room and service.pools ok and snack bar is very limited .buffet is very worse .very nice and clean beach .couldnot find international liquer .domestic beer was tasty .couldnot find any entertainment in the resort no show in the resort .very bad system at last day you have to sit in the lobby for seven hours .waiting for bus for airpoprt.

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Beautiful new resort

We had a lovely stay at this resort. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were lovely too. The food was great if you like Cuban food and we do. 😊 The only complaint we had was it could of used more cleaning . The pool was very dirty everyday . It needed a good cleaning! full of algae and dirt, lacking chemicals .The hallway to our room wasn’t cleaned from the time we arrived. 😞 We will try it again. 😊

Playa Costa Verde: Awesome resort

food was good, rooms clean, layout of resort was not too large so everything was conveniently located . Will come back in the future, the beach was one of the best I've seen. The shelters where a nice to have since they protected you from the sun all day.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful resort

Great and well maintained adult resort. Very friendly staff, amazing service. Rooms a bit outdated but very clean. Nice atmosphere and ambience. Terrain lost in very well maintained greenery. Amazing! Good food and restaurants. Beautiful clean and natural beaches. Possibility to do snorkeling to see coral fish straight from the shore. I will be back. Thank you

Iberostar Selection Holguin: amazing resort

Iberostar holguin is a resort we would definitely love to return to. Very clean and beautiful landscaping with a wonderful staff. Buffet was organized and food was good . Loved the small beach area close to the buildings perfect for children because of the shallow water and across the short bridge to the main beach is a nice walk for those who like to take short walks. The shuttle carts are also available for a ride across. The water is as beautiful as i have seen. I would love to visit again.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Very good hotel location.

We were in Brisas Guardalavaca for 16 days. The hotel is located on the ocean, the beach is beautiful. The weather was great. Interesting performances in the evenings. All services from reception area to restaurants work wonderfully. Cubans are very friendly people, always friendly. This is our 5th trip to this hotel, I think that the last, because it is filled with Cubans, I often had to stand in line to the restaurant, and on vacation it is annoying. Playa Pesquero: Repeater

We were supposed to go to Playa Pesquero in January but because of Covid our flight was canceled. So after reading some reviews we wanted to see it for ourselves, after all, we were there before and remembered a perfect holiday. Now, after being there for one week, we have to agree with some of the reviews. The grounds, room, loby, pool, beach, the dining areas and the people all were great but the food was nothing to brag about. Yes we were told many times that Cuba suffered because of COVID with tourism (there main income) but than we said, not just Cuba, the whole world suffered. And we saw lots of what the hotel was missing just outside it's grounds like vodka and or tequila in town. Heard stories of great seafood and bacon something other than hot dogs cut up at other hotels near by. As far as recommending the hotel yes but after they bring back some variety in food..

Brisas Guardalavaca: Very bad

The service was really bad , it is 7 time i visit this hotel with my friends and family evey year the service and food become worst .this time we decided to change this hotel and leaved it fir ever we change this hotel with almirante , the hotel 5 stars , almirante was great clean and services was good

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Very relaxing stay

The resort staff are exceptional at managing the resort on limited assets and newly hired personnel. Covid guidelines are strictly followed and we constantly reminded to put on our masks we in the restaurants. It is a very safe and welcoming area. The beach is rocky near the entrance but is clear for swimming a hundred feet down lots of areas to go for a walk. Playa Pesquero: 3rd Time at Playa Pesquero!

Very happy with this resort. We have been there 3 times and are ready to book again! The beach is fabulous with turquoise blue water and soft white sand on one side and the other offers the same but also a place to walk in and snorkel with some colourful fish!! Be sure to wear water shoes on that side! I’ve never been to a resort in Cuba where I gain weight! Lol. There was plenty of food and always available. Rooms are dated but ours was very clean and the cleaning lady was very sweet. Above all the staff are why we come back. Everyone is so genuinely helpful. The breakfast and lunch ladies (Yulasy, Norbelise, Arianne and Ania were FABULOUS!) Anatoli in the lobby bar was always super attentive and helpful :) Looking forward to our next visit!

Playa Costa Verde: 1st Time at this Resort

We have traveled to Holguin many times. We usually stay at the cheapest resort available because we are more interested in seeing friends instead of enjoying the resort. It is a smaller resort, everyone gets to know you over the span of a week, if you like that experience this resort is for you. The pool area is nice the beach is great. It is in a bay and well protected, on a windy day the ocean is still calm. I thought we could book a restaurant every night. It was pleasant staying here but in my opinion it is not worth the extra money to stay here compared to a cheaper resort.

Don Lino Hotel: Interesting resort!

All Cuban employees of the hotel follow Covid protocol, wear masks everywhere, even outside. Masks have to be worn by all guests in the dining room, except when eating. Resort has been renovated and enlarged, includes several children playgrounds. Several smaller sandy beaches with corals, it is good to wear shoes for water. Trees near the main beach provide shade. Iberostar Coral Holguin: Amazing adults only side

We really loved the coral level of the iberostar holguin it was very clean and quiet great staff not so much when we visited the family part of the resort they had the ala carte and all the entertainment I would not recommend sending families there right now at this point we needed to use the washrooms there they were so dirty and that side was full of cuban people it’s like they don’t respect the hotel as well I met several people staying at our side of the hotel that have stayed at the n [... read more]eighbouring two hotels im holguin who were there in January for over 20 times and have said they were never go back there I think it’s a real big problem with letting them use there hotels there getting really run down now my husband met a man on the plane that stayed at playa pesquero resort the same week and said it was so bad there were feces in the pool I use to love that resort too all of u should be aware of what really going on there and not send people to there resorts if the situation remands like that I’m just so thankful that I picked the coral level otherwise this review would certainly reflect that I love cuba and I would hate to not go back there again but I’m hearing so much negative lately that I’ll probably be looking at other places to go from now on that’s sad to me I hope the resorts go back to how they were before this is a very honest review but it’s the truth what’s happening there thank you Marion Mallaley

Brisas Guardalavaca: Great staff,very clean

The beach at the hotel is beautiful,the hotel itself is very clean,their is an elevator for easier excess to the surrounding property.The staff is amazing and very friendly.There is a market very close by in walking distance.Close to the market is a boulevard where there is a beautiful beach and food and drinks,great area to spend the day away from the hotel.The town of guadalevaca is within walking distance from the hotel,if you hire a cab or horse and buggy they will take you to outdoor Cuban  [... read more]restaurants with great food and an amazing Cuban vibe,I highly recommend doing this,we went out several times.I would also recommend you bring,pepper,hot sauce and any other condiments you like,it’s very hard to find these things in Cuba.The hotel restaurants,the food is delicious,so get up early and make your reservations for the week.Tony,takes care of the non motorized water tours,he is awesome and the rest of the crew is amazing,you can find him in the little brown building to the right of the beach on the property,they also would appreciate a few beers if your going in that direction,some munchies would put a smile on there faces.Overall,it was a great experience,I’m not one to spend to much time on the resort,I like to mingle with the Cuban people outside and get the authentic Cuban experience.Hola!!!!!!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Lovely resort with amazing staff!

Dedicated, friendly staff who worked very hard to keep visitors happy and safe. COVID protocols were closely followed and everyone was able to relax and enjoy their surroundings. The beach is lovely and although some of the room supplies seemed to be in short supply, staff did their best to provide the necessities.

This was the first tropical trip my wife and I took since being married. This resort was more than we expected. The food, the beaches, the pool, the staff, and the entertainment was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back next year.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: FIXER UPPER

Lots of room for improvement. Repairs are needed. ie Cottages are falling apart. Signs are illegible . Walkways are dangerous. Entertainment is high school caliber. Price point should be 800 per person.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Wonderful experience

Hotel & villas super clean! Genuinely nice staff...great pools & beaches. A la cartes were awesome and even the buffet had tons of options for even a picky eater. They do need some cosmetic updates...a good paint job would help! But I would definitely go back and definitely recommend!! And I was very impressed with using trip central to book my vacation!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Paradisus Rio de Oro April 6th to April 13th 2022.

This is a beautiful clean resort. The layout and size is what we really liked. Vegetation is plentiful and beautiful. Like always, the Cuban people are so warm hearted & friendly people. They follow Covid-19 protocol to the T. (Staff always wear their masks etc..) This resort deserves the rating of a 5 star............. Diane & Paul Montpellier
