Ocean Eden Bay: Nice resort

Spent 1 week at Ocean Eden Bay. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but a solid 4. The decor was great, newer resort, very modern, very clean. Grouting in the shower was done poorly. Drain in the shower was also terrible. Entertainment team was great. Food not up to par for Jamaica. Other than the Jamaican and Indian dishes the food was very bland, which was disappointing. Beach was extremely rocky even with water shoes. Service and hospitality at the hotel was excellent. The cleaners were great. A friend was staying at the other building and they lost power and had a flood. They had a terrible experience. Very glad we stayed on the adult only side since the kids side Ocean Eden Bay was hectic. Likely won’t go back.

Ocean Coral Spring: Amazing resort!

I thought the grounds were very clean. The staff was amazing and the layout of the resort was very convenient. The decor was very modern. The service was very good but a bit slow once in a while. The resort is a great place for young families. We had an amazing stay at Ocean Coral Spring!

Zoetry Montego Bay: Just what i expected & more

From the time we arrived at the resort (early Monday morning)the staff took great care to make us feel at home. The room was beautiful with the ocean view. The meals very excellent, anything we wanted all we had to do was ask. Resort staff were wonderful. Everything was just as we expected. Thank you Manuela.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Relaxing vacation

Stayed at Cornwall Beach section of Royal Decameron. Montego Bay section next door appeared older. Comfortable mid sized hotel on the beach. All units overlook pool and beach. Comfortable spacious rooms; well maintained. Reception staff very helpful. Cafe bar on second floor has best coffee and pleasant staff. Open buffet restaurant with satisfactory variety of food. Recommend being up at 6:30 to get a reservation. Beach chairs are all taken at first light or earlier but always found chairs poolside, which is next to beach anyway. Large pool which isn’t used much. Fun activities for adults. Bar and restaurant staff were a bit inattentive. Overall we had an enjoyable 7 day stay - sun and surf in January. Most staff and patrons were unmasked but all tables in buffet restaurant were sanitized after use and marked as such after cleaning. Hand sanitizing for buffet restaurant was strongly enforced. Buffet utensils were commonly used.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great Resort and Vacation

Great location, staff and all around amazing for family vacations. The swim up bar had amazing bartenders and they should be recognized. Great resort!!! We will be back for sure next year to enjoy some more fun in the sun! :)

Ocean Eden Bay: Lovely

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. We liked that it and the sister "Ocean Coral Spring resort" are located away other resorts. There were no people trying to sell you stuff on the beach. There were so many different restaurants to try that the food wasn't boring. Staff was very friendly and our room very clean. We enjoyed the fact that there were many Canadians at the resort...refreshing.

Riu Reggae: What FUN!!

Riu Reggae: Not ideal

Not ideal for a younger crowd. Beach was very small and was constantly full of salesmen in their boats. Otherwise hotel was small but clean, staff were friendly. The buffet was the best meal(s) available out of all of the restaurants. Planes fly overhead and it’s extremely loud and disruptive all day. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Good and Bad

The Air Transat flight was perfect. PROS: The hotel is beautiful on the outside. The Lobby is beautiful. The grounds are lovely. the pools are immaculate. Staff , food and drinks amazing! Entertainment staff is Vegas quality! CONS: The rooms are dated. The bathrooms were gross. The finishes consisted of caulked, poorly installed marble. The bedding was hard with only a thin blanket provided. I was sold a garden room. It faced a concrete pad and a highway. I complained to the front desk an [... read more]d they only tried to upsell me for 200US to a sea view or ocean view room. I did not get to pick my room or choose my ala cartes via the app. The Bahia App was a pain in the ass. The Sports bar is a joke. They have bands playing Reggae instead of letting you watch or hear games.

Ocean Eden Bay: Wonderful Resort - Adults only section

You can tell from a few items missing from the room that this resort is starting to recover from the effects of the pandemic. Bring a hair dryer, don’t count on coffee maker in room. Other than that, Staff was amazing and extremely helpful and happy to assist in any way. Food was a 5*, accommodations were clean and as advertised 5*, pool was beautiful but the towel/chair game is played and annoying. More chairs would be required. The pool was quiet time until 3 then party time and loud music a [... read more]fter 3 which was not relaxing if you don’t want to participate so we moved to the beach where water was warm and chairs abundant. If you are looking to walk anywhere the resort is isolated, the gym was clean and not too busy. Representatives of the upgrade Privilege tried to catch us daily but they respected a polite no thank you. Lobby bar area had nightly live music and was enjoyable.

Ocean Eden Bay: Needs some work

Beautiful property. Nice pool. Food is horrible. Needs work. Rooms weren’t always cleaned. But the bar, blue team, servers, life guards were all great and pleasant. Don’t think I’d come back to this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Average resort - not bad but not great

We ended up upgrading to a "Seaview" room when we checked in... and we're glad that we did! Our friends that we travelled with didn't upgrade and were quite unhappy with their room - definitely not a garden view! The view from our Seaview room was outstanding though. Cleanliness - our room was very clean but the stairways could be quite dirty at times. Elevator on our end of the building rarely worked which forced us to use the stairs. Specialty restaurants were generally better than the buffet. Disappointed that there were no mangos or lobster/crab at any time... unless you went to the Lobster raft and paid $30 US per person. The grounds were kept very clean and the staff worked hard to stay on top of things. Entertainment staff were ALWAYS keeping things hopping. If you're looking for a quiet, restful vacation this is NOT the resort for you. The music at the "party" pool was always VERY loud and the bar was always lively - from sun up to sun down. Seaview rooms in buildings 25 & 26 overlook the party pool - so no afternoon napping unless you bring ear plugs. If you're looking for a fun, lively place this resort is for you. Felt safe walking around the resort - even at night - lots of security discreetly around the property. Overall - I wouldn't say anything bad about the resort. I don't think I'd return though... for the money we could have gotten more for our money in Dominican Republic or Mexico.

Ocean Coral Spring: Nice Resort!

The hotel is clean and spacious. The pool is large/nice and the grounds are well maintained. The food is good, service is excellent and staff are pleasant. The beach is not that good but the overall facility makes up the difference.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great resort, amazing beach

The hotel was great - recently updated, clean and comfortable with good facilities and an amazing beach. The hotel has the best location on the beach - gentle slope into the sea, no seaweed or rocks. All of the staff were great - very friendly and helpful, from arrival to departure - reception, bars, restaurants, housekeeping, gardeners, etc. Special recognition goes to the buffet restaurant staff - they were excellent, and very accommodating of my serious food allergies. Every meal [... read more], the head chef or his staff walked with me through the buffet, confirming which foods were safe or should be avoided, and if needed staff would prepare a special dish for me. Only downside is the long drive from the airport - but well worth it for the beach (best in Jamaica, by far).

Riu Negril: 3.8 stars overall

First all inclusive in 3 years, and it was exactly what we needed. 1) Beach was mediocre. Lots of seating, which was great. The waters were calm as its more of a bay, but the bottom of the bay felt sludge-y on the feet. Cute fish were seen and a 2ft shark. 2) A few pools to chose from, which was nice if you wanted a non-busy pool. 3) Food was good, lots of variation every day during lunch and dinner. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Disappointing

Went for my dad's birthday paid for decorations and it was put together so poorly that it lasted 10 mins and no one would fix it. Coffee machines were always broken, ice cream store ran out of chocolate and vanilla for 4 days. I have been to this resort 4 times and it was really good but post COVID I will not go back. Buffet had 50% less things than before. Overall very disappointing, they got rid of ginger ale at this resort as well, not Iberostar standard. They were always running out [... read more] of Beer, but it was an overall disappointing experience from when I was there in 2019

Ocean Eden Bay: Remarkable resort

My best friend and I stayed a week at this resort and genuinely had a fantastic time. The entertainment staff were phenomenal and all made for fun events. The restaurants were great and I'd recommend this place to a friend

Ocean Eden Bay: Good Resort

The hotel and resort in general was good! We had fun during our stay and enjoyed the excursions. We did experience some minor poor service by couple staff, but I am sure they will improve on that overtime and there is no concern for future visitors. The beach was not the best, too much rocks, but you can work around areas and enjoy the water. I would recommend this resort to anyone who would like stay at this resort!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Holiday Inn Resort

It's a beautiful resort, very clean; you can access the beach from so many different areas of the hotel. Easy shuttles to Margaritaville and airport. The drinks were great. The food was not very good very bland, not much variety.

Riu Reggae: Amazing Resort

Overall experience 10/10. It is a smaller resort of the three Riu. However, staff is exceptional and friendly. Food was sometimes too salty but still overall really good, great selections and awesome drinks. Definitely would return again!
