Ocean Blue and Sand: Beautiful resort on a amazing location

Grounds nice and clean, pools very clean, restaurants and food excellent, beach gorgeous, beach bar needs some improvement on cleanliness ( some glasses not so clean ) Overall it is a excellent resort..

Viva Miches by Wyndham: Basic, Great Beach, Bad Food & Wine

This is a very basic resort. The room was absolutely bare bones. No blanket, extra towels, Kleenex, accent cushions and not a single piece of art on the walls. The walls (or in my case the door between rooms) was paper thin. I heard everything next door and in the hallway. The buffet food was terrible. Not a single working salt shaker, I could never find a spoon for my yogurt, staff were unsmiling and not overly attentive. The food made me ill from day 2 onwards. Pretty sad night entertainment.  [... read more] The only amazing feature of this hotel is the beach view. It’s almost deserted to the left, with beautiful mountains in the horizon. That and the Latin restaurant food was good. Too bad I only got to book in 1 time to an à la carte restaurant over my 4 days…. Zero service on the beach and long lines at the beach bar. Beach buffet terrible. Oh and the wine they served was horrible. Not drinkable. Pina coladas clearly made from a mix. Overall I would never return. I would consider another hotel in Miche as the view was amazing, but not this one.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Our 2nd time here!

You would be hard pressed to find a resort more relaxing and well-run than this! Grounds are immaculate and service was incredible. Amelin was our waiter on many occasions and would always seek us out to say hi, much appreciated. Samuel as well was always welcoming and helpful. À la carte restaurants were all great quality, the house wine was great, and the bartenders were always charismatic and energetic. The new coffee shop is a great improvement too, highly recommend!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Nice resort

Resort is situated in a beautify area of Puerto Plata. Resort grounds are very clean, with noticeable daily maintenance. Found the buffet very small with limited selections although food quality was good. Most days we had to run around looking for utensils, Coffee cups, glasses and plates. For some reason they cannot keep up with demand. They are likely understaffed as well. Servers are friendly and makes the place what it is. We booked Ambers and the Japanese restaurants. Japanese was good  [... read more]with a show. Ambers on the other hand disappointed. There were 4 of us ordering different dishes. I ordered ribeye. And clearly got a New York strip. Which was very tough full of connective tissues. My wife’s sirloin stake was way more tender and tasty. The beach is very nice and about a mile and a half long. Sand is fine to the waterline then it gets a little rougher with shell fragments. You don’t need a water shoe. Don’t walk on the reefs unless you want some painful experience.stepping on sea urchin. Basic rooms are dated but clean and well kept. A/C was not keeping up very much. Asked them to look into it twice, not sure if they did. We had several short power outages lasting 2-5 minutes each. Not a big deal. Overall the resort is nice and I would rate it a stretched 3.5. We would come back again if the price is right.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful getaway!

The resort was absolutely beautiful and the staff was so kind. We were a very large group and the resort accommodated us the entire time. We were also celebrating multiple occasions and they made sure to celebrate us and make the entire experience extremely special

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Wonderful time

Sunscape coco. The staff are amazing but, the room we were in definitely needed some updating. Pools were great. Mexican restaurant was fabulous we went twice. Buffet always had a lot of choices. Visit the star struck bar and find Rafael. Great bartender.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Dreams cap cana

Really unhappy with our 10 day stay. Initially everything was amazing, that soon faded away. We had a staff member of the resort walk into our room at 10:30PM while me and my fiance were sleeping. We went to the front desk about our issue and they took a statement and saod they would follow up and took down our number when they had answers wich we have still not heard anything. We had a good bracelet stolen from our room wich the resort dosent take and responsibility for since it wasnt in the lo [... read more]cked safe. The buffet was closed at night only open for breakfast and lunch along with other restraunts so for supper you had 3 options wih is not bad but when you book they make it seem like there are so many food and restaurant options when in reality there is not. We both got sick with food poisoning wich we never have been sick before on resorts but that wasnt much of an issue. The front desk will not inform you of a price but if you need to see a dr for meds they start at $2000 USD for just showing up at your room and price goes up from there. Overall alot of things that we felt were not right and left us very unhappy.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Excellent Resort

This was our 13th visit to this Iberostar resort. Almost everything was excellent as usual. Only negative this trip was the huge amount of seaweed that landed on the beach about 8-10” deep and about 10-15’ deep along about 1/2km of the beach directly in front of the resort. We simply swam in a clear area but it made walking challenging. As well we both were sick from tuna steak at the buffet. Room was excellent and the new wrist band key system is wonderful! No more demagnetized key cards to worry about!

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Good Resort for groups or want quiet

The Premium, Impressive Resort was very nice and updated. Room was great and Butler Mr Robinson was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay and even set up all of our a’lacart dinners. The down fall was most of the staff only speak Spanish and not engaging with few smiles on their faces which doesn’t not help the experience. The resort advertised snorkelling, Kayaking and water sports, but he were none to be seen. I picked the resort because the pics showed reefs and snorkeling off resort but when we saw the beach it’s all roped off 50m from shore with bouys and it kept all the silt sand in the water which made the water very murky which makes it not possible to snorkel. The beach was OK if you just want to play in the water but there are only some on the beach until 10 AM after the sun went behind the trees so you had to go to the pool. If you want quiet and read a book or go with the group of friends this resort is for you. I would give the resort a 9 for rooms and cleanliness, 4 for the people, 5 for food as it was very Americanized and no culturized food and 5 for the beach.

Beautiful resort. The resort was well cared for, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The resort staff were kind, caring and worked very hard. The food overall was good. Loved the international restaurant and the buffet had lots of good options. The Italian restaurant was okay. We did not try the seafood or Mexican so cannot comment on those. The views from the resort were breathtaking and we loved that you could walk into town for shopping and restaurants if you wanted and it felt  [... read more]safe. Great resort, good food Was overcharged at check in for a room upgrade that was already paid prior to check in. Went to front desk was told would be looked into. No response. Have now disputed the charge with my bank.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Very nice resort!

Very good place to relax and enjoy your vacation. Good food in the buffet and also in restaurants. The room was cleaning every day. The staff was very friendly. Beautiful and large pools. I highly recommend this hotel.

Playabachata Hotel: It was okay

Your staff was amazing,your rooms are clean,my room was clean.Your food is terrible.You have no bacon,and cant eat your food cause you out to much salt in all your meat.I lost weight due to it.No chicken wings in all night bar,same food over and over.Again staff was great,pool way to small,your beach needs to be cleaned up.The swing was nice but the rocks in front of swing in ocean should be blocked off before someone gets killed I will not be returning.Your snanjs and other goods are way to exp [... read more]ensive.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Serenade all suites adults only

We had an amazing experience with the Serenade all suites adults only, having the flexibility to switch from the adult side to the family side in terms of activities! The room was so nice and beautiful, with the jacuzzi in the middle of the room, the restaurants and cuisine was top notch and the sanitary facilities was so clean! High quality food and staffs so welcoming! I will return again ?

Punta Cana Princess: Nice quiet resort

What we like most about this resort is the size. The buffet is never crowded; the beach has plenty of palapas and chairs, as long as you “reserve” a spot before 9; you have access to the two sister resorts next door, with reservations at their a la carte restaurants available through guest services in the PCP lobby; the grounds are well kept; the staff is super friendly; the rooms are a bit dated but clean and the a/c kept our room at about 25C. It was our second stay and I’d definitely go back.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: very good vacation

My wife and I stayed at this resort for 10 days Nov 30 to Dec 10th 2025 and it was a very good experience for us. We had a swim out room and it was nice to have the quiet away from the main pools. We spent most of the day on the beach it was very nice beach and no problem finding chairs or palapas for some shade. The water was a little murky in some areas but the preferred area just a few metres away was clear. water was very calm on some days and it was only waist to chest high. We also booked the Italian twice and enjoyed it as well the food was good i had the lasagna one night and chicken Parmesan and it was also good. the second visit my wife asked for an alfredo sauce and they accommodated. We booked the Japanese restaurant and it was a fun dinner lots of food and laughs. The buffet was good as well lots of great options to choose from. It gets busy so we found to be there shortly after it opened to get hot food and a good seat and little line ups for stations. The beach has a food truck and the food was great as well we ate most lunches there at the beach . they served hot dogs and fries and hamburgers and fries. The bars were also very good and well placed throughout the resort. service was fast and friendly. One of our favorite places was the coffee bar in the main lobby lots of great coffees and drinks available. we would grab or coffees and hang out in the lobby area for a while before going to dinner. There is a designated smoking area up at the lounge as well my wife is a smoker and most people were respectful with smoking in designated areas. We did not bother to attend any shows in the theatre this trip. Our room was well maintained and clean the Air conditioning works great. We brought tipping money and we did not tip every time but sometimes and especially when we had great service. A nice thing about the resort is that it is only 15 minutes or so from the airport. I would rate this resort as a 4 star and would return in the future.

Punta Cana Princess: Punta Cana Princess - Great Resort

Just got back from the Punta Cana Princess, stayed from Dec 4th to the 13th. It’s a great hotel with a family-friendly sister resort attached. The grounds were super easy to walk and the beach was nice with strong drinks. I really loved that the a la carte restaurants like the Rio Grande steak house and the fondue place didn't require reservations... makes things so much easier. You do need to book a day or two ahead with the concierge if you want to eat at the sister hotel, but that wasn't a bi [... read more]g deal. The only real negative was the chairs... always the chairs. People leave their towels to reserve a spot at the pool or beach and never seem to show up. There really should be a policy where towels get removed if the chair isn't used in 30 mins, or hire someone to handle it. also, some of the palapas on the beach were maybe a metre off the ground? You literally had to crawl into them... why? The rest of the trip was awesome though. The service from the SeaPro shop was amazing, especially Edwin and Carla who did a great job organizing my SCUBA tour and keeping me in the loop. The wildlife between the hotels was totally magical... saw turtles, ducks, flamingos, iguanas, and peacocks. oh, and the coffee and ice cream bars at the sister hotel were yummy. Rating: 4.5/5

Grand Bavaro Princess: Amazing resort

Bávaro Princess is located on the widest and most beautiful part of the beach. The restaurants serve delicious food and the wait staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs! The rooms are all suites with a large sitting area and a very spacious deck. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful. A great place to vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: very nice!

beach:+++++ clean water, no seaweed, no wave, snorkeling close : just wonderful!!! -------- not enough palapas; towels are very thin and old; rooms:+++++ bed is very good, pillows are very good, very clean; -------AC is not great, very old bathrooms, TV is too old and small, everything else is REALLY WONDERFUL!!! don't expect any great shows or super singers..

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Lively fun family resort

We had a good family vacation. Our goal was to spend time together and the hotel gave us rooms next to each other. I would say this is a solid 3.5 resort. Pros: Large resort with lots of entertainment. Wi Fi worked well. Food was good. Snacks and drinks were always available. Chairs by the pool and at the beach were easy to find. Quite alot of seaweed and sandy dark water. The app for the buffets was not user friendly. We found them hard to book and most often said nothing available even when we tried booking early. Also they had ala cartes that cost extra even though we were on an all inclusive package. The servers at the buffet were not organized. One night we had problems getting them to bring us utensils. We had a feeling there was some problems between the staff and who was responsible for each area in the buffet.
