Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: some costly omissions by sunwing.

The grounds are immaculate and kept exceptionally clean. We had a suite with an ocean view and a patio....made us feel welcome every time we walked into our room. The public areas including the pools are 5 star and are maintained all day. Bar service and poolside service was the best we have had in a long time. Our room was kept nice but some days the cleaning service came very late to clean our room...after 5 pm two or three days. When we purchased our tickets we were told we would get a voucher book with 440.usd worth of coupons to be used for various things at the hotel including excursions and spas etc. When we asked sunwing rep for our voucher book it was like talking to a wall. He knew nothing about it and did not even give is the courtesy of checking with other reps. Before we left for our trip we called tripcentral and asked especially about the coupon book and they told us we would get it when we checked in. Didn't happen. We paid extra for the elite plus category. It was suppose to include priority boarding. It was chaos at the airport when they announced the boarding so the priority boarding we paid for was lost. The elite plus package was a loss and will not buy it again.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Still our favorite!

We stayed at Sian Ka'an from Oct. 23 to Nov. 3, 2018. It was our third visit in as many years and we were again impressed with the cleanliness of the resort buildings, the grounds and pool areas and the jungle setting is gorgeous. There is plenty of selection at the buffet and even at the smaller Cenote Restaurant. As seems to be common at all the resorts we have been to, some items could stand to be a bit warmer. The four a la cartes we visited (two at Sian Ka'an and one each at Tulum and Akumal) were very good. Seaweed continues to be an issue with huge piles along the beach on our first day there. But staff worked non-stop each day and after one week the Sian Ka'an section of beach was cleared up. Staff managed to keep on top of the problem the remainder of our stay. Sian Ka'an is a great resort and the fact that you have access to the facilities of the three other Bahia Principe properties is an added bonus. We will be back!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Everything was great

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff, food, facilities - all a wonderful experience. Whatever we needed, especially with our two young children, the resort helped us out with. We will definitely try to go back. Have already recommended it to several people.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic and very busy resort (Coba)

We found the Coba was more of a family resort. It was too crazy busy. However, we had access to the Tulum resort which was a bit quieter. It's a shame that the beaches had a lot of stones and seeweed. However, the workers worked hard every day to remove them. The food and drinks were great. No complaints there. My husband and I were at one of their sister resorts a few years ago (Sian Kaan, adult only resort). We would definitely go back to that resort instead. Access to their beach wa [... read more]s much cleaner and no stones or seeweed in their section. I would only recommend this resort (Coba) to families not couples.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Not a bad resort

The good: WiFi and internet connections are good with plenty of bandwidth. Was able to stream videos on the beach most of the time. Never lost WiFi connection but internet connection dropped a couple of times. The bad: Good liquors are not included anymore and the price is insane. From the free ones you have to do your research and specifically ask for a decent one. Smoking is forbidden in many areas but this is not really enforced.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Wonderful Resort

Good choice of restaurants. Buffet gets a bit repetitive. Room was large and comfortable. Large resort but there is a good transportation system to take you around the resort. Beach is experiencing a lot of seaweed but staff works hard to remove it every day.

Unico 20 87 Hotel Riviera Maya: Unbelievable !!❤️🔥

The rooms the grounds the design the food.. the service selection and rooms where all 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff was amazing to deal with and the beach was clean and the water was clean and clear!! I would recommend this resort and already have five times today 👍👍

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Best Service I have EVER had!

I booked The Royalton - Adults Section for a quick 4 day vacation. I wish it was longer! We booked the terrace jacuzzi suite - recommend for a couples vacation. It was a quiet secluded area. If your looking to people watch from your balcony perhaps do not pick the terrace jacuzzi suites. Regardless the room was beautiful! Comfortable beds, pillows etc. Towels always replaced, turn down service. We ordered room service one night after a day trip - excellent. Breakfast buffet was my fav! I must admit I have NEVER been asked every 10 minutes laying poolside if I wanted a drink or snacks. Top notch service (Adult area). Towels were removed from loungers that were not being used. Which was nice leaving chairs available for others. I would 100% go back to this resort. If you are a "beach" person, I would not recommend. That area of Mayan has very sea weedy beaches. Again, having said that - I would still go back in a heart beat. Recommendation to the hotel: Map of the resort add hours of restaurants AND what food is served at the a la cartes (place brackets with Steak house or Mexican) rather than just the name of the restaurant. Wish I stayed for a week!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: outstanding Resort

i thoroughly recommend this Resort, my first time in Mexico , and the whole experience was outstandingly amazing, the resort now is going through a new facelift, now as the Hilton Playa Del Carmen, this resort is smack dab on the beach , access to 5th ave which is a must, you have everything at a walking pace, right outside the front entrance of the resort , all resturants, and service was out of this world , people also were friendly .. room was right in quiet area, and close to a few restura [... read more]nts, shows in the evening were amazing .. nothing bad about the whole place .wallmart i might add is huge and within walking distance .. also mega mall .. a few blocks away .. just be aware some of the merchants on 5th ave really try to draw you in to buy .. all in all .. the best time ever alot of people go back many times .. and weddings etc ..

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Great resort!

This was our first time in Mexico and we absolutely loved the resort and the food. The ala carte restaurants were really good. The hospitality offered is simply outstanding. The pools were great and the infinity pool was our favourite.

Lovely family resort with beautiful grounds and pools. The resort is well kept and everyone goes over and beyond to make your stay memorable. The food was outstanding and all ala carte restaurants were really good. We didn’t really eat at the buffet except for breakfast. The sparking wine that they serve at the resort is really good. The beach wasn’t so good but that was because of the seaweed. The hotel staff did their best to clean the seaweed everyday.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Family friendly, beautiful resort with great service.

The resort is beautiful, clean, and great for families. The staff provided great service. The privilege club could tone down the aggressive sales pitch. If going to playa de Carmen shopping avenues be prepared to be harassed by the vendors. The food was amazing, tons of variety and tasted phenomenal. Will definitely be back.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Good, but older

The hotel a little disappointing in quality, standards, size. It’s largely private residents. Mostly gone to Secrets so this Dreams was a bit of a let down. Porto fino restaurant was 12/10 excellent. We were upgraded to premium level and staff there excellent. Generally everything else, lobby, other restaurants, pool, pool service ok.

Staff were hard working friendly people resort was well maintained family safe and fun resort with many activities for all ages food was amazing nice including 3 a la carte dinners and free shuttle to silver and tequila factory aswell as playa del carmen for shopping maids were doing a great job keeping the room tidy and cozy I would go back in a heart beat

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Loved the El Doeado Sensimar Seaside Resort!

I've been to many Mexican resorts, mostly on the Mayan Riviera. This was probably the best so far. As an Adult Only Resort, it was quiet but had good entertainment for the size. The staff was the best ! Juan in the Beach BBQ was great. Nicola from the entertainment crew was great too. Oh Cancun On The Beach: Oasis resort

The grounds were clean and kept in good place. Yoga and zumba were great. Food was good. The room was good. The customer service and reception were not good. Reception was extremely slow. Customer service wasnt good at the bars and servers because I dont think they believe people tip so they dont really care. Also, I dont think mexicans like english speaking people due to current political issues with America so probably poor service due to that even though we are canadian. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Relaxing family trip!

Family of three wants to take a rest nothing else. Small size of resort, walking distance to go to everywhere, good food, ample space by poolside, kind people, don't lose towel card unless you want to donate $100 usd to hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fabulous Resort

Love the only adults area with the Infinity pool, my favourite spot to swim all day. The restaurant is close to the pool and the servers go out of their way to please you! Would like to have some up to date music around the Infinity pool!

This resort is well looked after. The staff work so hard to keep everything shipshape. The buffets always have enough variety for everyone. Love this place and would definitely go back. The infinity pool which is adult only is so beautiful.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Fabulous resort!

We spent a week at this resort the end of October/2018. It was my wife's first experience in Mexico and at an all-inclusive. We had a fabulous time! Shortly after getting off the plane, we were on our way to the Ocean Riviera. The resort is about 40 minutes from the airport. Upon arrival, check-in was quick and easy. After check-in we were approached by a host who wanted to tell us about the hotel chain's "loyalty program". We told her that we were not interested in time-share, and she a [... read more]ssured us that this was not time-share. We agreed to go to a presentation the next day. Well, it turned out that it was in fact, time share. We wasted a few hours at the presentation, but it was the only 'negative' the entire week. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom featuring a rainhead shower with ample room for two. It had dual sinks and a jacuzzi tub. The room faced out onto the courtyard and a pool. The balcony was spacious and had a comfy hanging chair, along with a small table and 2 more chairs. The bed was super comfortable, with lots of pillows. The room had A/C, a ceiling fan, and a dehumidifier. The room had a small fridge with beverages that were restocked every day, a safe, and lots of storage room. We stayed in an adults only building, and next door was an adults only pool. 5/5 The food was FABULOUS!! There was the buffet, barbeque, Japanese, steakhouse, and Mexican and Italian restaurants. There was a restaurant on the beach which served breakfast in the morning, and lunch until 5 PM. A number of the pools also had snack bars with delicious finger foods. We mostly ate at the buffet because the selection and quality of food was AMAZING! There also was a coffee shop with specialty coffees and teas and baked goodies that was open from early morning until 11:00 PM. Next door was an ice cream shop that was also open until 11. We can't say enough good things about the food and the choices!! 5+/5 The drinks were what you always get at an all-inclusive in Mexico. The better you tipped, the stronger the drinks were, lol. The only down side of the drinks were that it seemed that the resort used only sugar-free drink mixes which left an after taste that we didn't enjoy. Neither my wife nor I are heavy drinkers so it didn't affect our vacation much. 3\5 The grounds are immaculate! The resort is laid out like a small village. There is a main walkway from the front lobby to the beach, about a 10 minute walk. There was a shuttle running all day long if one didn't want to walk. The buildings with the rooms were set back from both sides of the walkway, with swimming pools on either side. Two of the pools had swim-up bars. There was a mangrove on the property, and one day we saw a monkey swinging thru the trees! We also saw other wildlife on the property, as well as some beautiful, colorful birds. The beach did have quite a bit of seaweed on it, but staff worked hard every day to keep the beach as clean as possible. We can't say enough about how clean the whole resort was. 5/5 The staff was friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make our vacation a pleasant one. From our first day to the last, we never had anything but a great experience with the staff. 5/5 There was a show every night in the theater which we enjoyed immensely! The MC was entertaining, and the participants very talented! After the show, we would go to the piano bar in the lobby. The music was good, and we enjoyed ourselves every night. There is a small bowling alley, tennis courts, basketball court, and batting cage but we didn't make use of any of them. I proudly told my wife that I walked by the gym every day! Lol. On Thursday nights they have a market on the grounds with a large variety of artists and natives peddling their wares. We bought a few souvenirs and supported the locals. 2 thumbs up!!
