VH Atmosphere: Small and quiet

This is a renovated/new small and relatively quiet hotel. Check in was quick and a shuttle golf cart to the room. 3rd floor, no elevators. One main sidewak down the middle with buildings on either side. Our room was basic: bed,bathroom,tv, dresser, small closet, and keyless safe, clean. There were other room choices with more room etc.Housekeeping quiet and friendly,as well as grounds and building staff. The buffet was ok. Clean, organized, but needing some guidence for improvements. Selection [... read more] was ok, not great. Pool at first sight was a let down but much bigger once you got in. Down fall, no hand rail into pool and saw an older gentelman fall. Usually enough chairs if some go to the beach. Enertainment staff around pool were fun but not annoying. Some music choices didn't suit the crowd. Not a party hotel. English and oldies more enjoyable, not discusting lurics of some played. Bars had good staff, no line ups, no favourtism. Beach was just ok. Chair area crowded on hot days. Water dirty with rolling water. To get to the beach golf cart shuttle down the street and drop off to a lengthy walkway to beach. Not for those with limited mobility. Grill and bar at the beach. Two A La Carte restaurants, both very good food, menu a little miss leading sometimes. Night entertainment ok. Some trivia, music, games etc. No shows but this is probably better. Open wheelchair ramp to coffee shop has no railing or baracade, could be a problem. WiFi seemed to work for most people. VIP pool and bar seldom used, could use that area for something else. Overall a good hotel. To be noted!! Puerta Plata airport is now taking fingerprints when you check in with your pasport. Made many very uncomfortable!!

Riu Merengue: Value for money

Stayed here for a family trip, had everything we needed and no major issues. Buffet was good with lots of options, plenty of room on the beach, staff are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the ‘villa’ style room buildings with balconies. Live shows every night, wifi in the lobby, easy and quick check-in.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville

My stay at this Resort was great..the staff,food,and the grounds around the Hotel was wonderful.The room was nice and big but lacking one thing...more drawers for storing your clothing..three drawers for two women just dose not work well...also the drawers were broken and kept falling out???..we asked to get it fixed and a man came and jamed the drawers back and said were ok...but not they kept falling out.....one more thing I would like to add..they need better entertainment around the pool in  [... read more]the daytime and better evening entertainment which was lacking.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Be Live Collection Marien

Smaller sized Hotel with extremely friendly and efficient staff. The staff make this hotel as a vacation location . The hotel in spots is a little worn but not enough to worry about. The rooms were exceptional and extremely clean. We have enjoyed this location so much that this time was our second visit.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Loved this place!

Had an amazing time! Loved the staff, resort, view, beach, food etc. will book back again!! Once you get the lay of the lad all good... hiccups yes but they worked out. Just remember place value on what you want and advocate for it.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Second Time

We decided to return to the Majestic Colonial after being there two years ago. Another couple joined us and were not disappointed either. We had swim up rooms which are ideal. The service and atmosphere was great. We loved our holiday. Rain came and went, but it still allowed us time to be in the sun and do other things. Food was awesome. Everyone was helpful and made us feel special. We really would like to go back again. Great resort.

Punta Cana Princess: Awesome resort

This is awesome resort! The people are super friendly, we loved the size of the resort and the location. Food was good with a good selection at the buffets and a la carte’s. We also appreciated the chance to check out the restaurants on the other Princess resorts. Beach was clean, water was a little murky but that probably had more to do with the windy weather. Also have to give a huge thank you to Debbie for recommending it to us and her help booking our vacation. Without her help and a [... read more]dvice, we wouldn’t have enjoyed our flight.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Incredible stay with AMAZING food!

Biggest highlight was the FOOD! some of the best i've had in my life. Very very fresh and lots of variety - not your typical buffet. The resort it's self was nice, shows were pretty standard but their singers were amazing! Nice but more rustic beach then you would find in Cuba etc. No complaints! Even the standard room was nice, smelt good and we were quite happy :)

Riu Republica: Great Vacation

I have to say the Riu Repulbica resort is quite a beautiful place to visit. The check in desk was fast a courtesy. The staff on the resort was friendly and the food was amazing. Great nightly entertainment as well as pool side entertainment. I would definitely rate the resort an 8.5 out of 10

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: First trip!!

Me and my boyfriend really did enjoy our first ever trip, the room was nice and clean, staff were super friendly. Beach was nice and clean. Only thing was the food we weren’t much of a fan, and there is a construction site beside our resort/ where are room was, but we werent even in our room so it didn’t bother us. But overall we loved it and did a bunch of excursions!

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Loved it!

All around fantastic for families. A great mix of everything for all ages. Especially loved the service and great attitude of staff. Shout out to Edwin for his amazing service. Pool was beautiful. Great walk to beach with peacocks!! Coffee shop top notch. Club house staff were so awesome. Loved it all. Will def go back and recommend to others.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: good resort for price

This was our second visit to this resort, still good value for your money. We traveled with a group of seven unfortunately six of the seven were sick for a day can' t say for sure whether it was the food or drink we had lots of both. Good doon buggy tour into the outback,. Day of return was a nightmare , we where to check out of our room at 1 and where told there would be a room available to change into our travel home clothes, went up to hotel lobby for room, at 4 and was told nothing availab [... read more]le we would have to wait, that was okay we had time , staff came back 10 min later said there was a room available , my partner is handicapped, the room was on 3rd floor no elevators there, said they would look for something else, waited an hour they never came back. We ended changing out of our wet bathing suits in the hotel lobby bathroom. Grounds are well kepted, foods okay, don't expect much from this resort. Stay was okay but because of the miserable check out situation would never go back

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great Location

This resort was very clean and rooms were large and the hotel staff were very nice, however the H10 Premium Reps hounded you every time you stepped out of your room. I would not go back to this resort due to this, as it got very annoying!!! The restaurants had large portions and was good food. The buffet was the same thing every day for breakfast and lunch which after the 3rd day was not that appetizing.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Beautiful

First time at Riu Bachata beautiful grounds and landscape. travelled with daughter and infant granddaughter. Food was excellent. Rooms were ok. Most of the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Only one bad incident - when returning our towels on the last day. The worker was extremely rude to us. I had three towels in a bundle- he grabbed them threw them in a pile and said I only had two towels! He shouted at me and basicly called me a liar. So sad that left us with such a sour ending to what w [... read more]as a beautiful vacation.

TRS Turquesa: Great place!

All staff were very friendly. A bit of a language barrier with some. Great pools but didn’t see any hot tubs which would have been nice. Food was amazing and so much to choose from. Fruit was fresh. The premium alchohol was an added bonus! Was nice to find snacks and beverages in fridge at no extra cost. My only complaint would have to be that our room smelled quite musty and there must have been smokers in either side of us because the cigarette smell was awful. I think they should hav [... read more]e separate areas of rooms for smokers so the non smokers can be comfortable.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great Resort!!

Overall this resort is an Amazing resort!! All areas were well manicured. The public areas were all well looked after. The food was good. Only complaint really is that it rain too much and there wasn't enough covered space for people to still enjoy the outside. Need more one bar and one bar tender at night.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great family holiday

Pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean (beds were very hard and pillows were awful). Buffet was pretty typical for all-inclusive. A la carte restaurants were excellent. Love not having to make reservations. The waterpark was great however they are VERY strict on height and my daughter was at the cutoff point for the large and small slides. Pools were clean. Music around pool was too loud (no need for it to be that loud and I’m no prude when it comes to loud music). Not enough umbrellaâ [... read more]€™s around the pool. As a parent I like my kids to have a bit of shade to escape the sun for a few moments. Beans cafe was our daily stop loved it. Kids club was amazing. Best kids club we have been to by far. The beach at Royalton was beautiful lots of lou ge chairs. The little trolly that goes around resort comes frequently (those who complain about wait times clearly aren’t enjoying the relaxing lifestyle while in vacation). Walk to Royalton is only a couple minutes and you will see some wildlife along the way. The only thing I would change would be to upgrade to a suite next time.

Riu Republica: Great resort.. sunwing flight will never happen again..

Resort was fantastic.. . Highly recommended... sunwing flight was terrible... we will never fly sunwing it air transate again.. from now on its air Canada or west jet.. sunwing had duck tape holding things together.. terrible seats they are so small and uncontrollable ... no food or drinks for elite plus like us...air translate service is ok but seats again are really tight... but resort was incredible

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Amazing resort for some down time!

Lovely resort, with attentive staff and great dining options. Little to do by way of water sports or activities which if you're looking for forced relaxation is a positive. Beautiful views from the sea view rooms wkth gorgeously appointed rooms

TRS Turquesa: Royal Suites Turquesa

We really enjoyed the Royal Suites Turquesa. The staff were very kind and helpful . We enjoyed our comfortable room, the pools, the fabulous food and walks along the beach and beauty of it all ! Thankyou for arranging !
