Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Day Dreaming

This was our 3rd trip to Dreams & the grounds were as amazing as always. It’s a very mature resort with huge palms and clean, well groomed shrubs and plant life. Staff was friendly but didn’t seem to be as engaged as previous visits. Menus were good, food was fresh. Highly recommend the Preferred Club option for its perks. Worth it. Uvero Alto is beautiful corner of the D.R. Highly recommend visiting Dreams and experiencing this resort.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Great place!

Riu Palace Punta Cana is a fabulous resort! Everything about the Resort is first class. The most amazing part, was the service which I have not seen at other resorts for many years now. Apart from the weather which nobody can control, we had a great time at Riu Palace.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Loved this resort

The hotel is very inviting. The Rooms were very spacious, Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful grounds, well kept. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was really good. Lots of shops on site to visit. I would definitely go back.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: cofresi palm beach and spa resort

Overall i would go back to the resort . it was a very nice place to be at . They keeped it very clean all the time . Even the bathroom on the beach was always had someone cleaning it all the time . I am sure happy i upgraded to an oceanview room . The view was amazing . I love the tropical feel of the place .. you felt like you actually away on vacation . It was alway hamburgers , hot dogs and Fries . With our oceanview room we had a vip beach part , bar . Everytime we would go there no beds were avaiable at anytime of the day which was frustrating . just someone bag was on it reserved and who knew when they were actually coming . i know ppl do it but being its a VIP and only a certain amount of us could go there . It should be first come first serve and actually be there with not just a bag on to hold it . The lifestyle vacation was amazing side but with some restaurants on that side for us to go to ala carte . It does make you jealous to how there place was compared to us . very updated and nice places they we cant get to enjoyed because we didnt have the special VIP bracelet one . I would suggest if someone gets a room with an ajoining door rmake sure yours is locked accordingly . We had an issue with the three guys next door open it , we locked it right away but the next day they were drunk and broke it open again literally and came into our room . I wasnt there but my friend was taking a bath . Didnt realize till later that they took our pop and stuff out of our mini bar fridge in the room .They didnt see her but we did go to front desk call our air transit rep and they fixed the doors right away . My safety was an issue after that and the next day they moved us to another oceanview room . That was only the real problem . Had a great time , and would go back again

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Not the best

This is definitely not the best resort I have been at. The food is not good. The service is just ok but not more. I would not recommend at all. It took us an hour and half to book the restaurants and the stag Do not speak English. I’d yiu don’t speak Spanish, good luck to find someone that would understand your request.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Awesome spot!!

We had an amazing week at this resort! Can see how anyone could give a bad review. The staff was friendly and the service was incredible. The food was great and drinks were top shelf. Our room was comfortable and cleaned spotless daily and once we let the cleaning staff know that we didn't drink juice or pop she made sure we had extra water.

Secrets Royal Beach: Decent resort

This resort was nice but also starting to show its age. I preferred several other secrets resorts that I have visited over this resort. There is a very nice beach with friendly and regular service for drinks. The buffet restaurant was good quality and the resort had several decent restaurants. However the quality of service varied greatly. In general it seemed that many of the servers would avoid a gay couple while attending to others nearby. There is a very minimal room service menu. T [... read more]here is also a very nice lazy river for relaxing but a very limited number of seats pool side which was challenging on days when it was too windy to be on the beach. You need to arrive early (before 8) in the morning to secure a beach chair poolside. Wifi on resort was weak and intermittent which made it difficult to complete any work or browse the internet. Overall this resort was a good experience but I would not be likely to return as there are other resorts with better service and amenities in this price range.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Very over-rated

We booked a swim out room because the brochure stated that there were no children allowed to stay in these rooms for safety reasons; we thought that at least we would be spared noise, temper tantrums etc by booking one of these rooms. No such luck, children were allowed in any room including these; I saw as many as three children and two adults in a swim out room; no idea how many were crammed into other rooms. The adjoining hotel which was billed as family suites had as many as six children in  [... read more]these rooms; needless to say the beach area was at a premium all of the time. Don't believe the brochure when it states that no towels can be put on chairs before 8:00am, try 6:30am and earlier, no towels are ever moved. There are four restaurants and a buffet, don't expect great service at the buffet restaurant unless you are willing to tip even for water, I got my own more than once! The other four a la carte restaurants were slightly better, although the French restaurant had all three courses out at once the first time we ate there, the second time we slowed them down deliberately; but, still there were two courses on the table at the same time. No children are allowed in this restaurant, so it was relatively peaceful, unlike the others, where children were allowed to run free and interrupt other diners. Trying to get something repaired in your room is a major challenge, my husband and I were quite sick our first week there ( not the fault of the hotel ); we went to bed early as we were very much under the weather; as such we would have enjoyed watching some TV; but, our TV did not work and it took a great deal of complaining and six days to get it rectified; to me this was unacceptable. No sooner had this been looked after for us we had an employee remove our lounge chairs from our patio without permission throwing my towels, swimsuits and even laundry on the floor, at this point I really had come to the end of being easygoing and pleasant. This hotel is listed as a high quality hotel, rooms food service etc. ; definitely not in my estimation.

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Beautiful modern resort

Nice people,beautiful room,clean and modern deco, small beach but there is shuttle bus every 3 hours to two beaches (10min.) Marina swim out room was very nice. First time using tripcentral and was very happy with the service!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Awesome

Great service, awesome people. Smaller resort which was nice so you could walk everywhere instead of wait for a trolley. All restaurants located at the front with coffee shop and casino. Great nightly entertainment as well.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Nice resort

I found the resort pretty nice. Had a great time around the pool, kudos to Julia who made sure we were always hydrated! No theatre for nighttime shows but music always playing. Too much techno though and the entertainment needs to step up. The last night the crew was getting everyone up to dance etc which was a lot of fun. Need more of that. There was a masquerade night but it was only the entertainment crew and the angels dressed up for photos. Not a lot of point to that. The resort needs to f [... read more]ollow through better on these ideas. I also don't understand the point of the CHIC angels. Their sole purpose was to strut around and get photos taken. I think we're past that in 2018. Food and drinks were excellent. Service was really good. Rooms were clean although some trouble getting replacement towels facecloths and coffee.

Occidental Caribe: Well laid out resort

I really like the way this resort is laid out. The resort is very wide instead of deep so all rooms are close to the beach, pools, restaurants, and Lobbys. The beach has many palm trees so there is lots of lounges in the shade if you want that. The beach is beautiful. Some of the other resorts down the beach had some seaweed problems but not here. Grand Palladium Palace: Friendly staff and very clean

The grounds are in immaculate condition. The rooms are spotless they are so clean. I wouldn't call them an "upgraded room though" there were some holes in the ceiling and one nite a vent fell from the air conditioning unit. Some of the marble around the outside wall of the tub enclosure was damaged. The food in the buffet area wasn't always hot. I would recommend a guide on the tv converters in the rooms.

Occidental Punta Cana: A wonderful place to visit

Very clean and modern resort. The food was very good at the buffets and the la cartes. Service was good . The beach front the best on the beach. The crews usually had it cleaned before six in the morning. Only bad thing was the smokers.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: fantastic resort

by far the best resort we've been too service was unbelievable didn't want for anything would highly recommend to anyone would go back tomorrow if had the time and money.staff always friendly couldn't do enough for you always attentive .for room service very fast and friendly amenities s very clean and bright .also wanting to thank bev for all her help and please thanks for sending us more deals ....if something catches our eye we will probably take it and go .once again a great resort and than [... read more]ks bev.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Perfect for Adults!

The grounds of this resort are meticulously kept. Even the beach is groomed all day long. The services were very accommodating. Our room was lovely. We did ask for ocean view and did not get it. As we explored the resort, we realized that there were not many (if any) rooms that were ocean view. Our room was 2nd floor with a king bed, lovely shower, deep whirlpool tub, working safe, working fridge. Our only complaint was that our balcony faced some sort of generator or compressor behind a  [... read more]store which made a constant loud noise. We decided to let it go since our room was so lovely and we did not spend much time on the balcony. This resort is part of a huge resort. We did wander into the larger areas but we did not need to. In Ambar Blue, a lobby, buffet, a la carte restaurants, pool, beach and shops are all within the Ambar Blue and an easy walking distance. Our maid/butler service was wonderful. Food was great at the Brazilian Steakhouse. It was mostly good at buffet and beach BBQ. The staff were friendly and polite and helpful. An invitation was slipped under our door to attend a "privilege club" meeting. We were sure this was the "time-share" meeting. We did not go and no one else mentioned a time-share or bothered us to go to a meeting the entire week. A very classy way to do it. Pool was clean and had everything nearby (washrooms, food, small shop, beach). Plenty of beach/pool chairs. We loved this resort and the low-key adult vibe. Shows got a little crazy sometimes in the evening but all in fun! We would definitely return to Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Great vacation

My husband and I just returned after 1 week at Grand Paradise. There were some minor problems but not serious enough to ruin our vacation. The resort overall is very nice; beautiful gardens, very well maintained grounds and buildings; comfortable room (building #2). We found the food to be very good with lots of variety and very tasty. The pool and beach area were great. Before you get to the beach, there is a large park-like area with lots of grass. This is where most of the activities were off [... read more]ered. After about 3 days we found out that there are 2 animation teams, one for the French guests and the other for the rest. We were not offered the same schedule so if a guest wants to partake in these activities, they'd have to check the French schedule on the board. This should be mentioned in the "Welcome" meeting..we felt left out. The nightly entertainment was very enjoyable. Overall, the staff were great...very helpful and fun and we enjoyed our time there. FYI - do not purchase the VIP lounge on your return home. This was a ripoff!!

Grand Palladium Palace: Grand Palladium Palace- wonderful hotel

The hotel is beautiful. The grounds keepers maintained everything exceptioning well. Very pretty to the eye! Bavaria beach is awesome. We walked on the beach for miles. The sand is fine and white. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The Dominicans were very accommodating and friendly. They all aimed to please. This was our fourth time to this same resort and was not disappointed!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing Resort

Staff is very friendly and helpful The resort is clean The food was very good and a nice variety We would definitely go again the beach has lots of shade available but to swim in ocean was a little ruff while we were there overall it was a great experience and we will return

VH Atmosphere: very quiet resort

We very much enjoyed our stay at this resort. The service was great, the staff was great, the food was great, the pools were "refreshing" ( a little too cold for me) The beach was a bit of a walk away, and the shuttles that were supposed to be provided were often not there. I came home with small bites from head to toe. If that was sand flees from the beach then it would be the same for all resorts.
