Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort.

This resort was perfect for us. It was just the right size and laid out very well. It was clean, the service was excellent, the food was great. I loved the proximity to the airport. The staff was friendly. You had the choice of spending your time on the sandy beach or at one of the refreshing pools. You also had a choice of going to the party pool, the kiddy pool or the combination pool. Great kids program. And great entertainment throughout the day and evening.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Disappointing for a Karisma Resort

Resort and grounds very nice. Rooms very comfortable, especially the bed. Beach area is small and gets quite congested. Pools are very cold. The food was the big let down. We've stayed at other Karisma resorts and found the food worthy of the Gourmet Inclusive title Karisma resorts advertise. Azul Fives fails to live up to the "Goumet" claim. Food is OK, you won't starve, but has a lot of work to do on this end of their service. If you want a very nice resort with reasonable, but hardly gourmet  [... read more]food, this would be a good choice.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Amazing Resort. Tremendous staff and facilities.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Sirenis, and it did not disappoint! The resort is beautiful, the beach delightful, and the staff incredible. [They are terrific with food allergies!]

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Ok Except for a Couple of Incidents

Our stay at the Blue Bay was ok with the exception of the following: A mess up at Cancun airport. We did not receive bus chits from Trip Central so we were running around like two very exhausted, overheated chickens trying to find a ride to the hotel. Worked out in the end. Not enough towels even after communicating our requirements with the housekeeper. Some days we had a mat for the inside and outside of the shower.....some days we did not. Asked for extra hangers during our first week. The [... read more]y didn't show up until about four days before we left during the second week. My friend inadvertently left a skirt on her bed when we left the room for the day. when we came back, the skirt had disappeared. We talked to lobby staff who talked to our maid. Funny.....no one knew anything about it. Interesting how the maid was hopefully the only person to enter the room other than ourselves and the skirt just melted away somewhere. Then the day before we left, I had left a bottle of nail enamel by my bed so that I would remember to polish my nails. That evening.....I couldn't find the nail polish! I noticed something odd....a reddish dried blob on the floor by my bed and later a red mark on my sheets. This was on the far side of the bed....so the polish was carried across the room. Obviously, the maid decided to help herself to my nail polish and the bottle broke! Nothing said to me at all. Nada! The beach is not at all great.....lots of seaweed and crud. Laying on the beach one day, we enjoyed the sound of a tractor going back and forth raking up seaweed....not good. The French restaurant was excellent....the others were a wash. This was talked about by many of the tourists. Other than those concerns, the trip and the staff at the Grand Esmeralda are excellent!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Very Nice Family Resort

We really enjoyed this resort. We had our two kids, aged 14 and 11, and they loved it, especially the snorkeling on the coral reefs right off the beach. Clear, warm waters, tropical fish by the hundreds and a sea turtle kept us amused for hours. Great beach, though not as sandy as Varadero, for example. The hotel grounds were immaculate and the staff were very friendly. Nice architecture, large rooms (junior suite). The lazy river was also a hit with the kids. The only real detractions were iffy housekeeping (no toilet paper), and things got pretty loud and the language colorful around the pool bar by late afternoon - but you get that anywhere. Overall, very satisfied.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful Serene Resort

Great resort! Excellent food and wonderful service! The pool and snack bar area was where we spent most of our time when we weren't at the beach. Staff were top notch and the place was very clean. I would suggest a high floor so you can get a good view of the beautiful jungle surroundings.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Top Notch

Everything about this resort was awesome. Grounds were amazingly manicured, pools were very nice (a little cold though), food was the best I have had at any resort that I have ever stayed. Lunch is best by the pool in the new area. Highly recommend this place.

Riu Lupita: Wild crows helped in ruining the resort experience

Living with limited mobility can be challenging at a resort. I can recall 3 good things. The location of the disability rooms (fridge stocking and bathroom was good) were situated close to the bar, pool, buffet, stage, snack bar was nice and close. The bar had fast and friendly service which was required because they had no servers. Lastly, the reception desk was welcoming very helpful and had a good command of english language but the rest of the resort showed a huge language barrier. The buffe [... read more]t was ok but limited choice and often dishes were not labelled correctly(they should try some mexican choices with instructions in buffet). The A LA CARTE was full of terrible flavours partly due to the fact of the lowest quality of ingredients used in the dishes(if you offer a ribeye steak on the menu, prepare and cook a ribeye steaks not a thin low qualty steak riddled with reams of fat throughout). The rooms beds were overly firm which caused backpain upon waking up. Wild crows landing on unoccupied tables and flying around the buffet chairs (not near the food) and boldly flying around and close to people sitting at covered patio close bar. Too hot and humid to prevent enjoyment of sunbathing. Service was inconsistent throughout resort. I will never go back.

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Great Resort

The grounds at this resort are beautiful with lots of flowering trees and shrubs. Although requests as per room are not guaranteed, the hotel moved us to another room to accomodate us as per a view of the water. Family Suite was very comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly. We did struggle with communiction. Many staff on resort do not speak or understand English. We went the first week of March and it was windy all week. Minimal use of water sports and water was rough. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Wonderful Winter Getaway!

Trip dates were January 17-24, 2015 Had a fabulous vacation at The Blue Bay Grand Esmerelda. I would definitely recommend the resort and classify it as a 4 star for sure. I read all the reviews before going and was more than pleasantly surprised to discover that from our perspective, none of the bad reviews were true. We had an amazing week in Mexico. How wrong can people be, or is it just going with a positive attitude? Travelled with my mother and brother. Our check in took about five minutes [... read more] with a very nice young gentleman, Carlos serving us. They will only give out one key on the first day, but the concierge at your building can make you a second/third key if required. We were driven to building 4 with our luggage; ocean front, which we had paid for, third floor Room 4323 with a wonderful view. We loved our location. We required a third bed which was delivered at once. We had a great room with free safe and stocked fridge, water, beer and pop each day. The fan and AC worked great. Our room service was great and our elevator took seconds to arrive, never a wait. The patio door locks when you close it, so either make sure someone is in the room to let you back in or leave the door open a bit, so you can get back in. We were steps away from the pool, buffet, swing bar and beach. The beach buffet served a wonderful breakfast and lunch daily, it converts to a Steakhouse and Seafood a-la carte restaurants for supper. We all enjoyed the beautiful beach, wonderful buffets and five of the six a-la carte restaurants that we attended. Reservations can be made for the current day and the next. This can be done in the lobby or with the concierge at your building, very convenient and never an issue getting a reservation. The bacon wrapped fillet at the Steakhouse was delicious! We also had a lovely welcome dinner the night we arrived with entertainment, for West Jet customers arriving that week. We all gained weight, with such a wonderful variety of food choices. The resort is very large but the carts/trolleys were always handy to take us to the lobby area. We shopped in Playa del Carman and at the resort stores and the market that comes in once a week on Saturday nights. The beach water is not as clear and blue as some of the Caribbean water but the pool more than makes up for this. The seaweed is cleaned early every morning and the only sandbags to help build up the beach are in an area in front of the buffet that you don’t even see anyways. There is also a quiet pool around buildings 6, 7 & 8 with another buffet which we didn't get to. I walked the beach every day. To the left is a clear lagoon area that is quite nice. The free wifi worked very well, throughout the resort as well as on the beach. This is a nice added touch to keep in contact with family and friends at home. Unfortunately, my brother fell and cut his head on the third day. The doctor was there within twenty minutes. Every morning and evening paramedics came and cleaned and changed the dressing. Our thanks to Alonzo Avila, Public Relations Assistant Manager for all his help and the wonderful paramedics. We all loved our vacation at BBGE and would certainly recommend it and would return any time.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Excellent Resort but beach is so so.

The room and resort was clean and perfect. A lot of walking but that helps burn off the food. Best a la carte was the Brazilian. Thanks to Angel for an excellent night at the Brazilian. Wine is not very good so bring your own from duty free.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful resort

The hotel was spotless, staff was amazing and friendly, beach was stunning and rooms were fantastic! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy especially Didier at the front desk!

Catalonia Yucatan: Great family resort

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful resort!

Our favorite part of the resort was our view from the room and the beach area. Not too busy where we were and lots of chairs to chose from. Variety and quality of the food and drinks in the buffet and a la carte restaurants were excellent. Service was pretty good but not outstanding. If I returned to this area I would stay at the Akumal.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful resort

The resort is amazing, the food is five star for sure. The grounds are kept perfect at all times. The best part is the hotel staff. They gave one hundred percent and made you feel special every day. This was our third visit, but not our last.

Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: Amazing Resort

It was a nice getaway to this small ups sale resort. The beach was gorgeous; there are three pools but none of them have a deep end; there was a variety of food to select from and it was great; and our room was luxurious and spacious. I would definitely go again.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Great property

This was the first all-inclusive trip that we have done in the past 5 years, wow what a intro back into the all inclusive scene. The hotel is small compared to that other properties in the area. Every detail was exceptional, food, service, beach and pool. Will definitely be back to this property .

Barcelo Maya Palace: Wonderful vacation

Facilities were great, service was excellent, food was terrific. Beach is crystal clear and view of the fish was remarkable. Plenty of things to do while on site. Shopping exercise rooms etc. Would return again for sure.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great Staff/Nice Resort

Just returned on Thurs from a week at Azul Fives with my family of five. Overall we had a great stay at this resort. Some of the staff are exceptional. At the beach Maggie, Hersen, Pollo were so nice and helpful and just always hustling. The kids club was great although we didn't use it a lot, was very well done. The staff knew our kids names early on and would always engage with them whenever we ran into them which was often as we went from pool to beach. I liked that they would just come up an [... read more]d ask the kids to play at the beach or pool. Ithalia and all the girls were excellent with the kids from what I could see. Another thing which I liked about the property is it was an easy walk to most places. The food was excellent. Better than any all-inclusive I've been to. Quality over quantity which was perfect. My kids loved Flavours for the buffet style and fresh wood fired pizza but it was not a hit with my husband and I, although the wine was nice and the waiters were hard working. We liked Oki Sushi and Sea Olive and Abrezzo the best. Thai was just okay in my experience.. La Brassierrie for breakfast was wonderful. After being in villa 6 the first night, we asked to switch to a higher room due to foot traffic on first floor (we felt we always had to draw the curtains!). The room we ended up with was in 16 which was second floor and absolutely beautiful and very spacious 2 bdrm for 5 of us. Great location as long as you don't mind being further from beach. Maid service was great, no complaints! The only thing that brings this place down a star is all the timeshare mullarky that if you ignore they don't pressure you. The front desk was a bit slow although very friendly. We soon learned to go through concierge although they do try to get you to a presentation. My husband was disappointed that this resort had the timeshare undertone and it took some of the shine off. We received multiple phone calls from concierge asking if they could help but he felt it was a tactic to get us in the boat for a presentation. All in all we had a great time at Azul Fives!

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful resort not so great of a beach!

the resort was absolutely stunning, pools great, food good, weather wonderful, the beach was awful. there was tons of sea weed all along the beach, and even though the resort tried to keep it clean they just couldn't. the beach chairs were very crowded since there was not much space on the beach. the water was also not great.
