El Dorado Seaside Suites: Loved the El Doeado Sensimar Seaside Resort!

I've been to many Mexican resorts, mostly on the Mayan Riviera. This was probably the best so far. As an Adult Only Resort, it was quiet but had good entertainment for the size. The staff was the best ! Juan in the Beach BBQ was great. Nicola from the entertainment crew was great too. We loved our bachfron t room, with the beach only a few steps away and a pool (with a swim up bar) a few steps away too! Oh Cancun On The Beach: Oasis resort

The grounds were clean and kept in good place. Yoga and zumba were great. Food was good. The room was good. The customer service and reception were not good. Reception was extremely slow. Customer service wasnt good at the bars and servers because I dont think they believe people tip so they dont really care. Also, I dont think mexicans like english speaking people due to current political issues with America so probably poor service due to that even though we are canadian. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Relaxing family trip!

Family of three wants to take a rest nothing else. Small size of resort, walking distance to go to everywhere, good food, ample space by poolside, kind people, don't lose towel card unless you want to donate $100 usd to hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fabulous Resort

Love the only adults area with the Infinity pool, my favourite spot to swim all day. The restaurant is close to the pool and the servers go out of their way to please you! Would like to have some up to date music around the Infinity pool!

This resort is well looked after. The staff work so hard to keep everything shipshape. The buffets always have enough variety for everyone. Love this place and would definitely go back. The infinity pool which is adult only is so beautiful.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Fabulous resort!

We spent a week at this resort the end of October/2018. It was my wife's first experience in Mexico and at an all-inclusive. We had a fabulous time! Shortly after getting off the plane, we were on our way to the Ocean Riviera. The resort is about 40 minutes from the airport. Upon arrival, check-in was quick and easy. After check-in we were approached by a host who wanted to tell us about the hotel chain's "loyalty program". We told her that we were not interested in time-share, and she a [... read more]ssured us that this was not time-share. We agreed to go to a presentation the next day. Well, it turned out that it was in fact, time share. We wasted a few hours at the presentation, but it was the only 'negative' the entire week. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom featuring a rainhead shower with ample room for two. It had dual sinks and a jacuzzi tub. The room faced out onto the courtyard and a pool. The balcony was spacious and had a comfy hanging chair, along with a small table and 2 more chairs. The bed was super comfortable, with lots of pillows. The room had A/C, a ceiling fan, and a dehumidifier. The room had a small fridge with beverages that were restocked every day, a safe, and lots of storage room. We stayed in an adults only building, and next door was an adults only pool. 5/5 The food was FABULOUS!! There was the buffet, barbeque, Japanese, steakhouse, and Mexican and Italian restaurants. There was a restaurant on the beach which served breakfast in the morning, and lunch until 5 PM. A number of the pools also had snack bars with delicious finger foods. We mostly ate at the buffet because the selection and quality of food was AMAZING! There also was a coffee shop with specialty coffees and teas and baked goodies that was open from early morning until 11:00 PM. Next door was an ice cream shop that was also open until 11. We can't say enough good things about the food and the choices!! 5+/5 The drinks were what you always get at an all-inclusive in Mexico. The better you tipped, the stronger the drinks were, lol. The only down side of the drinks were that it seemed that the resort used only sugar-free drink mixes which left an after taste that we didn't enjoy. Neither my wife nor I are heavy drinkers so it didn't affect our vacation much. 3\5 The grounds are immaculate! The resort is laid out like a small village. There is a main walkway from the front lobby to the beach, about a 10 minute walk. There was a shuttle running all day long if one didn't want to walk. The buildings with the rooms were set back from both sides of the walkway, with swimming pools on either side. Two of the pools had swim-up bars. There was a mangrove on the property, and one day we saw a monkey swinging thru the trees! We also saw other wildlife on the property, as well as some beautiful, colorful birds. The beach did have quite a bit of seaweed on it, but staff worked hard every day to keep the beach as clean as possible. We can't say enough about how clean the whole resort was. 5/5 The staff was friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make our vacation a pleasant one. From our first day to the last, we never had anything but a great experience with the staff. 5/5 There was a show every night in the theater which we enjoyed immensely! The MC was entertaining, and the participants very talented! After the show, we would go to the piano bar in the lobby. The music was good, and we enjoyed ourselves every night. There is a small bowling alley, tennis courts, basketball court, and batting cage but we didn't make use of any of them. I proudly told my wife that I walked by the gym every day! Lol. On Thursday nights they have a market on the grounds with a large variety of artists and natives peddling their wares. We bought a few souvenirs and supported the locals. 2 thumbs up!! To conclude, we would highly recommend this resort and would definitely return in the future. Thank you Ocean Rivieria Paradise for a wonderful vacation...we can't wait to go back!!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great place, food and staff !

We thought this hotel complex was quite large but beautiful and easy to get around with the tram service system that they have in place. The staff are amazing and work really hard to make everyone happy. We enjoyed all the various menu options and ate way too much! We enjoyed every moment at this resort and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends and family. Love Mexico !!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Terrible experience

I went towards the end of the month and my sister and I were harassed to go to some sales meeting. They called my room several times. Waited outside our building we ended up having to hide just to try and enjoy our visit. Aside from the harassment the rest of the staff was very friendly. I just had to avoid the lobby as much as possible. The food and alcohol also tastes terrible. Never going back

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Underwhelmed

So, where to start? The hotel room was a bit rough around the edges. The bath was dirty, the shower curtain, dirty. The countertop, dirty. There were cockroaches in the room. Now onto the food and beverages. Everything is disgusting. Don’t bother eating or drinking anything. The staff were pretty friendly. Pool was nice, but the beach was grungy. And lastly, we were harassed constantly to attend a seminar. Even after saying “no” many times. Other than that we had a great time...

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Fantastic Holiday and Great Value

Immensely enjoyed my first experience at an Iberostar resort. The Tucan is listed as a 3.5 star property, however service, food, and rooms is 4 star resort at 3.5 star prices! Rooms were large, beds comfortable, service fantastic, grounds wonderful. I will be returning to this property next time I am in Riviera Maya/ Playa Del Carmen. Lynn Lafond

Ocean Riviera Paradise: 4 star resort - needs fine tuning

Stayed October 24 to October 31 Beach was good with a few rocks here and there - no seaweed at the time. water shoes would be a good idea Food. 4 star. Main Buffet was ok. Nothing special. Beach buffet definitely needs better selection of food. Drinks. 5 star. Top shelf liquor Pools. 5 star for there size and numbers but way to loud at the party pool - music constantly pounding which carried through to other pool areas. Rooms 3.5 star. Restaurants - if they were open they were ok. Mexican restaurant worth skipping. Italian and blue moon was the best. Most common areas are air conditioned. 5 star. Massage would you like a massage. Heard this question at least 20 times a day. Lol. Would I go back. Yes. Would I spend more than $1000 out of Toronto. No. Things to do. Out the front doors of resort. Nothing close by. Take taxi to 5th avenue for shopping. 240 pesos or 15 US dollars. Kids and families will love this place. Adults looking for quite time will not.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Excellent getaway!

Grounds are beautiful, staff is very friendly, great restaurants and lots of activities to do! Snorkeling off the beach when it wasn't too wavy, beach volleyball, tennis, gym, fun competitions on the beach run by resort staff, clean pools and quality food. Would highly recommend this resort for families or a couple's getaway.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Nice resort

The staff at the resort were great especially at the preferred pool. The food was good and a good selection for a smaller size resort. The shows were fun and lively and again staff was great . The one warning i have is not to be fooled into going to the VIP presentation . It is high pressure and very misleading

Sandos Cancun: Great Vacation!

This was my first time to Cancun but 3rd to Mexico just never made it to Cancun... it was much better than I ever expected. The beaches were beautiful white sand and loved the smaller resort! The hotel itself was nice however we were disappointed to know that we were only going to be there for 3 nights and with an occupancy of 40% they opt to put us in an room overlooking a roof and without a balcony.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic resort - we've been there 9 times now!

We love it because it's a BIG resort, so if you like boutique hotels it's not for you. Lots to do on the resort itself with 4 hotels on the complex, 4 buffets, 10 a la carte restaurants, numerous pools and beaches. Some of the beaches did have a lot of seaweed this visit, but they clean it up. Food is great and caters to all tastes. Rooms are large and clean and there's plenty of english channels on the TV. There is free wifi in all the lobbies and it's quite fast. You have to pay if y [... read more]ou want it in the rooms. Weather is usually 30+ every day and watch out you burn really fast! Plenty of local sites to visit, but watch out for the tour operator's prices, they are much more than you can purchase on-line before you leave or even from the hotel directly.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful resort!

This resort was very nice! It was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the resort was well kept. I was a little disappointed in the food selection as well as some of the restaurants being closed on certain days. We missed a couple of them due to having the incorrect schedule. The beach was small.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Sensimar El Dorado seaside suites

My husband & I stayed in a premier swimup on the older side of the resort and absolutely loved it! The rooms were redone but you could see the age but did not affect or impede our stay or enjoyment. The food was absolutely Devine for an all inclusive & the service with many many kind staff was great to have!!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Excellent Resort

Checking in Danielle was very young but patient with four ladies that had sent many request for a special birthday and wanted rooms all on the same floor. Clean rooms, grounds were very pretty and well kept. People were very friendly, excellent staff. Especially Lolli, Lucas, Lillian and the the waiters and waitresses in the dinning rooms.

Riu Dunamar: Family Fun + Relaxing Resort

We had such a nice relaxing time at Riu Dunamar. It had exceeded my expectations on all levels: food, entertainment, service, beach/pool. There was something for everyone in our family and we can honestly say we really enjoyed ourselves. The service was impeccable, even those who did not serve us directly would greet us with a good morning or good evening walking by. We felt that hospitality! I  [... read more]loved the kid activities available to the children throughout the day and our daughter enjoyed it so much too. The kids pool and the slide pool for adults, were amazing. The only thing that I would say they could improve on, is the quality of alcohol in the drinks. I know they need to make a profit with being an all-inclusive, but it was the only thing my husband and I did not enjoy. By the end of our stay we just stuck to wine, since we did not enjoy the different mixed drinks we tried. Other than that, I would highly recommend!

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Very Relaxing

Hotel was excellent. Our third time to the Now Jade. Food was very good at all the restaurants. The staff were amazing again! Misheal at the pool was great. Jesus and Lourdes at breakfast were awesome too.
