Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Everything you need, Great resort!

We loved our 7 day stay! Easy to get around, food was plentiful (with lots of selection), grounds were immaculate, rooms are basic (Very clean and functional), beach is lovely and relaxing. Will be back!

Barcelo Maya Palace: Marvellous Resort

We stayed at the Palace. Everything was spotlessly clean, rooms were luxurious and the food was great, even the buffet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only drawback was the piped piano music. It was classical music, played way too loud and everywhere.

Riu Dunamar: 8 points from 10.

Ground, public area, room, dinning is 9 points from 10. The beach is practically clean. But little shade throughout the day. Often there were waves and swam, in the water, thorny thickets from palm trees.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful.resort

The property is beautiful the water and.mountains. The French restaurant was fantastic. We did star prestige well.worth the.money. Only negative was because it was low season they offered a deal for the locals to attend the resort at times.the pool was out of.control so service suffers and the lunch buffet service.was terrible was chaotic. Rooms great would.return

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Beautiful resort

Barcelo is amazing resort with very clean grounds and the rooms are very clean also. Food was outstanding and a lot of variety.All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The entertainment wasn't that greatest. There wasn't any entertainment at night at the bars. At other resorts that I have been to there were always bands and singers in the lobby or at a bar. Other than that pools were amazing and beaches nice.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing Resort

We just returned from a week stay at Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort and Spa, it was our third time in three years and we had an amazing time. We stayed in the Romance Villa Suite because we love the outdoor shower, proximity to the beach and La Jarra Beach Bar. Rodrigo our old friend and new edition Bermont are lovely people and great bartenders who always made us feel welcome and made us laugh and smile, no wonder we spent so many hours there. This is also the nicest part of the beach, where the sand is soft and white and the water blue. There were always lots of beach chairs available and it’s quiet and peaceful. The sargassum was an issue but the employees worked so hard every day to remove it. The food at all restaurants was good, the meat dishes are a bit on the salty side. Our favourite was sushi, the service was fantastic at all restaurants and we weren’t frozen by the A/C this time around. Cecilio and Israel are our favorite drivers that always welcomed us with smiles and were very helpful with getting my boyfriend around who had an ankle injury and needed assistance walking. The evening entertainment in the colonial lobby was fun and we liked the mix of live bands after the show. I have to mention Hemmingways where Luis makes a wonderful mayan coffee. We love this resort and can’t wait to go back.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Sunscape family vacation

We had a great family vacation (there were 10 of us all in junior suites). The area was amazing with the contrast of the ocean and the mountains. The thunderstorms at night was fun. Positives-the staff were great. -The view from our junior suite was amazing. -The food in the Italian restaurant and the Mexican restaurant was wonderful. -the activities were fun and kept our 5 children (ages 11 to almost 17) busy and entertained.  [... read more] -the location was good. You could walk to town/stores and it was close to the airport. -if the room would have storage, we would have loved it. There was lots of room and a separation from the sleep area and sitting area was great Negatives-there was nowhere to unpack (no dressers or shelves) although we were in a higher priced room -some of food in the buffet was marginal. The selection was limited. -the fridge was not restocked If you are on a budget this is a great option.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Beautiful Resort

The rooms are clean and modern. The food was excellent at the buffets and all 6 restaurants within the lobby area. I enjoyed the fact they offered the premium liquor and beer as opposed to the local brand ( it was available) The beach and waterfront for me was okay I would definitely go back to the Riu

Wildlife such as the comical, and sometime cheeky, coatimundi; agouti, grey squirrel, and black iguana abound in every exquisite area, howler monkeys shout noisily in the tree-tops, while the eagles fly high overhead scanning for prey. Exotic birds move freely in and out of the resort; colourful parrots, majestic pink flamingos, swans, grey crowned cranes. heron as well as many smaller species. The beautiful walks that meander through the resort are alive with the pleasant sound of waterfalls, and babbling streams – If you love nature you will love this place. While this resort has all the modern amenities one comes to expect of a five-star hotel, it delivers even more with its setting. Just minutes from the warm Caribbean Sea and a wide flat beach with white powder-soft sand, it has an illusion of being in the middle of a rain-forest. Very clever on the part of the designers! The meals were scrumptious, I have to commend the skill and artistry of the pastry chef – Alejandro – He is world class and his amazing creations have to be seen to be believed - Truly amazing and mouth-watering. Our room was kept spotless by the inconspicuous housekeeping team who left rose petal adorned towel creation on our comfortable king-size bed. The evenings were whiled away with awesome meals eaten at the elegant specialty restaurants and entertainment of a high standard. From reception to grounds-keepers, all the staff were friendly and polite. Having raved on about how much we enjoyed our stay there is one person I need to single out. Upon arrival at the airport there was a miscommunication between Iberoservice and the Sunwing agents and we were left without a shuttle service to the hotel. After waiting in the hot sun for 2 hours we decided to grab a taxi. At the concierge desk an exceptionally helpful YOUSEF took us under his wing and went above and beyond his duty, to sort out the issue. He made several phone calls, walked us to the Iberoservice desk where we received little assistance and then took us to the Sunwing representative, Antonio, who without hesitation refunded our taxi fare in full. I know that it is this kind of service that gives a business a good reputation, turns a bad situation into an opportunity to shine, and keeps customers coming back. YOUSAF – you are an amazing compliment to Iberostar, you are passionate to serve your customers and care only about their satisfaction. Because of you, we will continue to come back to Iberostar.

Riu Vallarta: Very lovely resort...but

The reosrt was lovely but needs some renovations. Our room had a mold smell and the sofa bed was broken. They did bring up cot and had the room cleaned throughly everyday. The amenities we great abd the staff was just wonderful.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Best resort in Mexico

What a wonderful place. Food was amazing, the people are so friendly. So clean and organized. Very kid friendly. Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone and everyone. Room was always clean and fridge always full.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Amazing Service

My wife and I went for a 7 day trip. The staff and service was amazing. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. The resort is very small but cute. The beach wasn't that great, given the time of year. The dining experience was very good. Loved the beach service during lunch time.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Awesome vacation! Awesome Staff

Just returned form a week stay at this resort with my senior mom and my two children aged 2 years and 6 months. Had an amazing time. Beach is beautiful. Staff is amazing. Food is great, always something to eat. My kids had a blast riding around in little baby boats in the pool. There is tons of pools of all different depths.

The Pyramid Cancun: Love grand oasis!

Had an amazing 9 days at the grand oasis pyramid for the second time this year. All of the staff are so friendly, Pua and Zairy the MCs are amazing people they will go out of their way to help when none was needed and they were also very good entertainers. The rooms were clean and bar fridge was always filled daily. Over 20 restaurants to choose from, We had black bands and got to use le fc CD Buffett and makitaco which all had very good food.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: AMAZING!!! Paradisus Playa Del Carmen La Perla - Royal Service

I can’t even stress enough how amazing the resort was! Everything from the service to food was pristine! A big big shout out to Daniel, Alfredo & Jorge at RS. We will 100% be back and can’t wait! You need to have breakfast, lunch and dinner and La Palapa if you’re staying with Royal Service. Avoid the buffets because the a la cartes are just 100% worth it!

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Unbelievable resort!!

The resort met above our expectations! The checking in was very fast for the first time ever of us travelling our room was ready right away ! As soon as we got out of her shadow someone greeted us with a hot towel champagne. It was a very fancy resort however they’re also was a lot of activity great night life but plenty of room to just relax if that’s what you wanted . The food was unbelievable of course ! The pool was awesome with plenty of activities or just relaxation with an amazin [... read more]g view of the ocean. The only negative thing I would have to say and this is just me nitpicking is some of the restaurants would take a long time and the portions were very small. The beach wasn’t the nicest we’ve been to . But other than that no complaints the staff were amazing as per expected. Especially “Tomas” and “Sophia”. Thank you !!

Maya Caribe Cancun: Amazing resort, friendly staff - Repeat Guest!!

I stayed at the Barcelo Maya on 2 occassions (my honeymoon and a mother/daughter trip). Once at the Colonial and once at the Caribe. Both times we booked with Trip Central and the absolutely fantastic Karol Chareza (Agent in Burlington ON). We had such an amazing time on our honeymoon (in 2016), that I convinced my mum and friends to go back. The resort is clean, walkable, and safe (important for a group of 4 women!!). The food at all the restaurants, and buffet, was delicious - especially th [... read more]e Teppanyaki! The room service is fast and delicious as well. The nightly entertainment is always fun, and well put together. The staff is very friendly, and when you have a problem they are quick to solve it (had a leaky pipe in our room on our honeymoon, they sent someone out to fix it within 10 minutes). As with any hotel, you get what you pay for, and I can say that our room at the Colonial was bigger and a better location than our rooms at the Caribe, but again, we paid more for the better room. Our rooms in each resort were large, clean, well appointed and very convenient for getting to both the beach and the main lobby. I 100% would recommend this resort to anyone, families, couples, friends groups. In fact, the girls and I are planning to go a THIRD time in February 2019 (hopefully booked through Karol again!!)!!

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: 4th time still a charm!

Can't say enough about this resort, from the short travel time from Cancun airport, the amazing staff, wonderful food and overall ambience, Secrets Silversands is a definite place to choose to relax and unwind. Accommodating staff at all levels, restaurants with top grade meals and comfortable rooms. In addition to the main pool, where the Entertainment Team does the majority of their games, there are smaller pools surrounding many of the buildings, allowing a "swim up" room feeling. Carlos cleaning our room Salvador and Freddy for breakfast each morning Felipe kept the drinks coming to us by the pool and our room Jorge and Mario at Veranda Bar Ana, Dylan, Charlie, Alfonso, Abigail, Gustavo.....Your Entertainment Team! Cesar in the Spa Our visit in January we noticed they had Clamato! so this trip we brought packages of celery salt for each of the bars and explained how a Canadian Ceasar was made and we, and others, enjoyed rimmed drinks! There are also 2 separate private Facebook groups solely for Silversands, where people who have never been there can ask questions and recommendations, or those that are there at the time, or in past, can add comments. Met a couple of people while I was there through it. Been to many destinations over the years and can honestly say that we have never met a better staff. Only downfall, if you're a beach person, not a very good beach and in September, with all the hurricanes in the Caribbean, the seaweed was even heavier in the water and on the beach than we have seen it before, and it stank, so it made sitting in the hot tub by the beach, unbearable for me. Only negative thing I can say!
