Barcelo Maya Colonial: Wonderful Resort!

This was our second time here and we really enjoyed our stay! There were many activities for my 15 year old and new things such as a bowling alley, paddle tennis courts, Pirate's Island, and a mall. The staff were always smiling and helpful. We would definitely return to this resort.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Great resort

We had a wonderful vacation at the resort. Awesome food, great pools, spa and surrounding areas. Only issue was the beach chairs being very uncomfortable, but wouldn't make or break the deal!! They really need to stretch the fabric again as you can see the plastic bars under the fabric. Other than that, GREAT vacation. Can't wait to go back. French had the BEST food, then Spice , Then Italian. didn't do the Tapenyaki grill at spice though so can't comment.

Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: Heaven On Earth

This resort is incredibly impressive. The attention to detail from arrival to departure is constant. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort!

The food was unreal. There was always so much food to choose from. The 24 hour snack bar was also very handy. The staff were incredibly friendly. We had a great time hanging out at all pools as well as at the beach.

Beautifully maintained resort. Clean and relaxing surroundings. We experienced special caring treatment travelling with 2 young children. The buffet choices had variety and food was delicious. We enjoyed the a la carte as well in particular the Don Pablo and the Brazilian restaurant. It was very convenient to Swim with the Dolphins right at the resort. My granddaughter loved the dolphin experience.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Splendid Resort

Everything was great - the rooms, the service, the people, the pools, beaches, the food. We were there in February and we had a fantastic time. The service and people were great - concierge Fabian, Mariacarmen, Marcos; In the restaurant - Miguel, Danny, Alvredo, Rufinho, David, Danny; Elio for taking our luggage up the stairs, Giovanni at the diving centre, Leonardo at the Spa and our good friend Jany. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Fantastic resort!

Grounds were exquisite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was the best, especially the sushi. Beach and pools were exquisite! Couldn't find a thing wrong with this place! I would highly recommend this place to my friends.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: good resort

very good, hard to beat last years weather and ocean though. Extremely windy every day with the grounds crew trying to keep up with the sea weeds accumulating on the beach. Food was excellent and the people are great.

Riu Tequila: Perfect holiday at the Riu Tequila

This hotel is everything you want, it's amazing! Not one bad thing to say about this place. The food, the drinks, the staff And it is ery clean. Would go back in a heartbeat!!! Excellent resort!! We loved it!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great place to vacation!

Beautiful resort, very clean, great beach! Very hospitable and friendly staff too. Would definitely recommend for families. Wish the night entertainment was better though, this is the only think lacking.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Excellent staff

This hotel was great, however, the swim up pool is more like a swim through. The bar is enclosed so you cannot get to the bar by foot. You have to swim to it. Also, it's all closed up with windows so you need to talk to the bartender through a small window. The temperature of the pool water was sssooooooo cold that no one was ever at the pool stools or doing activities in the water. That part of our trip really sucked because we enjoy sitting at the swim up bar and chitchat with the bartenders a [... read more]nd other guests. Also, there are no snack bars anywhere in site. If you want to eat, you have to go to a restaurant. There is no buffet and no snack bars. The rooms were very clean and the grounds were well kept. The food was good and the staff are just awesome. The beach is not the nicest but they do everything possible to keep it clean.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Fantastic Teip

Took my 16 yr old daughter, it was our first time to Mexico, I loved the resort. The pools were beautiful, the grounds were clean and the rooms were large and roomy. If your a beach person, it is not the greatest beach. I didn't mind since I'm a pool person. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I would definently recommend the resort and would go back again

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Wonderful first all inclusive vacation!

I travelled to Azul 5s with my boyfriend this February and from the first moment we got there we were both blown out of the water. The atmosphere at Azul Fives is chill - the grounds are immaculate, the surroundings are lush, and despite it being a family friendly resort it was peacefully quiet. The food is great. We're both foodies, and although most of the dishes we had wouldn't hold up to the gourmet food scene in Toronto, we were continously impressed with the selection and the quality of th [... read more]e food. We tried all the restaurants, and our favourites were the Sea Olive, Oka, and Khao Thai. The bars were also excellent - plenty of top shelf liquor included - and the Mexican Cantina 1910 is a must! So much fun!! The beach is beautiful - well groomed and they have a dedicated swimming area that is free of rocks and other dangers. The only major downer of our trip that I'd like to warn others of is the free shuttle ride into Playa del Carmen. A big part of why we chose this resort is because of its proximity to playa. However, taxis are still approx $20 US one way so we decided to let our travel agent hook us up with a free shuttle trip. What she didn't tell us was that the ride was funded by a jewlery company 40 minutes past Playa and that we would first be taken to the jewlery store for about an hour and coaxed into buying expensive items. By the time you get to Playa half the day is gone and you only have 2h in town before the return trip - wouldn't do it again. All in all my partner and I had a great time and would highly recommend the resort to families and couples alike - there's really something for everyone. Enjoy your getaway!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Fantastic resort

We had a great week. We did not want to leave. The resort is a short drive from the airport. It is well laid out. Lovely rooms. The staff were great. The ability to go to any one of the specialty restaurants and not have to book ahead of time was awesome. The food was excellent at the specialty restaurants and the buffet. The buffet had a great selection of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was excellent musical entertainment every evening. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great stay for a birthday!

We stayed at the Sian Ka'an for my 30th Birthday and had a great time! We had a pent house suite with a jacuzzi which was filled (with a few snags) when requested. The food at the buffet is fantastic and had lots of choices. We found the a la cartes hard to book and slow when we were there. Especially the Oasis at Coba was slow and the food was cold and not overly flavourful. If you can, get a reservation to Alux. Best meal we had while we were there. The rooms were spacious and updated but the  [... read more]air conditioning didn't really take the moisture out of the room. At one point the AC was set to 10C and the room was at 22C. They sent a repair person 3 times and we finally gave up because it was at least tolerable. The staff at the pool bar were awesome and attentive and always made sure our drinks were full! The activities staff were excellent as well and kept the pool area interested in various activities. They even had the whole pool since me happy birthday. We did have a "run in" with one of the members of the team when we requested that a speaker that had been put at the head of our deck chairs be turned down. He actually yelled at my father in law and said if we wanted it quiet we should leave and go to the quiet pool. We were shocked at his attitude and the fact that he was willing to yell at us especially since we only requested it be turned down one notch and not off completely. Luckily his attitude improved the next day. Overall we had a great time with just a few minor issues that were made better by having a mojito! They really could focus a little more on customer service but we'd still likely go back.

We liked a lot of things at this hotel. There were few things we disliked about the hotel. The good things: grounds were very clean, pools were nice and entertainment around them during the day, all the hotel workers were very friendly And made us feel welcome. Not good things: overbooked when we arrived and had to move rooms the second day, didn't get a bottle of tequila in our room until a few days in after asking and asking, and food didn't seem like 4 star quality very often. Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Great Family Vacation

Overall we had a great vacation with our 2 grandchildren, age 7 and 9. They loved the lazy river, the beach, the pools and the ice cream shop. Food was very good and the staff are very efficient and helpful. Great idea to have a concierge right in you block of rooms. The rooms are very clean and set up well with a sitting area and a balcony. Our suggestion is that they should have Queen beds instead of Doubles. And oh yes, the bed are definitely TOO Hard!!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Fantastic Family Vacation

We had an amazing time at this resort. Totally geared toward families so I highly recommend for traveling with smaller children. Friendly staff, clean hotel, good food, fantastic beach. The wait staff always talked with our daughter at every meal - she loved the attention. Waves were a little high but that didn't stop us from paddling around the shore. Overall, we didn't want to come home!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Money well spent

We just returned from this resort and would return as a couple. The grounds are very well kept and look lovely. The rooms are spacious suites - in very good condition. There is lots of variety in the food selection and quality was very good. Although we did not travel with children there did not appear to be much there for teens. Lots for children under age 10. Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Excellent Destination

This was our first trip to this resort, but not our last. Large clean bright rooms. Friendly staff eager to help with any problem. Some of the best food I have had in the Mayan. Dont miss the brazilian a la carte if you go. Smaller slightly rocky beach, but provided excellent snorkeling with lots of fish and a few turtles If you can upgrade to an ocean view room third floor. So worth it for the breeze, the sound of the waves and the proximity to the beach We had a great trip here
