Carisol los Corales: We love it!

The hotel is in a beautiful locatin In a national park. We go twice a year, in late October and early March. This is a perfect time to destress and recharge you batteris. And it hardly ever rains there. The beach is beautiful although rocky in places. We spend all day on the beach. Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The food is organic and simply prepared. You can taste what you are eating. You may get more food and more variety in a four and five star hotel if that is what you are looki [... read more]ng for, but we are happy with the food here. If you like spicy food, bring your own spice. We also enjoy nightly entertainment. With small improvements, The hotel could easyly become a four star hotel.

OK overall, but bedding for the first night was so moldy we could not sleep at all. It too a lot of energy from us to change the motel unit. Nice beach, decent food, but too big and too crowded. The staff were friendly.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing resort but disappointed!

This is my 6 or 7th time to this resort. I go because of the friends I've made there over the years. The resort grounds are beautiful and most of the staff are amazing. The only downside of this trip was we had virtually no hot water for showering all week. I had read somewhere that the resort turned off the hot water at night. I don't sleep well and sometimes get up early and try and have a hot bath to go back to sleep. Imagine my shock when at 5 a.m. in the morning all I could bath in was ice  [... read more]cold water. I complained several times but nothing seemed to help.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: 3rd year back to Amigo

This was our 3rd time at Club Amigo. We went with Trip Central through Gail Meister in Wolfville. We always go through the Trip Central site because with their "Vacation Selection Grid " it's easy to compare prices, areas and time plus all prices are always upfront without hidden costs and taxes included. We always go to Cuba because it is safe, friendly and you can usually book an all inclusive resort for 2 weeks for about the same price as 1 week in other Caribbean Islands. Gail was a big help in getting a place for the budget which we had to work with. Amigo has a lot to do and great nightly entertainment, tours, local vendors and other things. It's nice to take the tours in the local towns as the area is so safe and you can wander around anywhere. The local people are so friendly and there is always a warm feeling there because of them. My wife and I are boring people and are happy to lie on the beautiful beaches or pools with a book. We just go to enjoy the sun, warmth and wonderful people. Looking at other reviews I believe some people just go to complain . . WE DON'T!" If you want to go and overpay for your vacations go to other sites. Trip Central has always been our site. and you know right up front what you're paying. 31/2 Stars and up are recommended. We're looking at Don Lino next winter a small resort with good reviews. We hired a taxi and visited the small resort. Beautiful rooms "RIGHT ON THE BEACH" with prices that are 2nd to none. THANKS TRIP CENTRAL FOR A WONDERFUL AND SAFE VACATION!"

Starfish Varadero: It was fun and better than I expected!

The room was upgraded when we arrived, that was fantastic and unexpected! The ocean and beach is beautiful. The hotel needs some tlc but overall it was clean and provided everything we needed. The food was good.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Small Resort with GREAT STAFF

We found the hotel to be quit small compared to where we have been in the past. However this made for more personable staff, we were treated like gold, by all the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy at all times. I would love to go back again.

Rooms were very clean, Staff was friendly. Good food selection to suit every taste. Great location - not on a hotel strip. Ideal spot for snorkeling. Excellent selection of tours Overall great value for money

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Third time visitor

I love everything about this place, food is good, people at resort are pleasant and accommodating.......and the Cuban people are some of the best people I have ever met. Love going into Holguin and feel safe everywhere.

Beaches are beautiful, food was good, room okay, service poor Drinks were different at ever bar and the staff at the 24 hour staff bar was rude and acted like it was an inconvenience to service people

Starfish Varadero: terriable resort

the resort had 6 possiable places to get in water and only one was in working order at the time, rooms were great, maids were great, food was the worst i have ever had and I am not a complainer, 2 star makes me happy we moved day 2.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing!

I was a little picky with the food but overall an amazing trip! The staff and people me and my friends met were life changing! Loved every second of this trip :) My friends and I are 18 and 19, we enjoyed the nightlife aswell as the daytime activities on the resort and off!! Defiantly would recommend this resort to families and friends that want a get a way!

Hotel Caracol: get what you pay for!

this place is not where you want to bring a better half, food is lower end Cuba, its clean, frig is a keeper? not cold at all.they try but it just doesn't happen. Been all over Cuba, this place "trys"

Starfish Varadero: Fantastic spot

Hotel is getting older. Toilet paper still a premium. Bungalow was clean and everything worked. Front desk is less challenging than in past visits. We arrived late bell hops were not available. Rain soaked all our luggage while looking for our room. Morning Sun brightened our outlook, food ran from palatable to not bad. Our room was well cleaned, beds "Good" (could not believe it). The beach was fantastic, pools were very good and clean. Overall our trip was stress free and can not wait to come back.

When we think of this hotel a smile crosses my face that no one could even imagine. This our winter getaway home, we have heard from many of the clients say where they have been to and how much better & newer it was.... And then it came, it was a lot more costly. The rooms are cleaned daily and how much time do you actually spend in there during the day anyway? This hotel has always been about the people that make your stay most enjoyable. And with 2 hotels together that you can use during Jan-March how could anyone not have a great time. Pig roast at the beach once a week, I'm there!

Carisol los Corales: Great place to relax

Staff were wonderful and always helpful, not the best place for small children there were lots of older men with very young Cuban girls. We will go back if the price is right. The best place to snorkel

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great Place- returned for the 3rd year

This year we got a great deal to this resort. For what we paid it was a steal. This year we found that the resort had some bad faults. We found that the major swim up bar pool turned green. This was bad because it was closed for 3 days. Missed that pool a lot because that was where they did the water aerobics. The square pool was green and I don't think it was useable at all. The food this year was great because we had all la carte every night. The buffets were very busy because there were only  [... read more]two instead of three that they had last year.that were open. Line ups were long if you wanted to go in early. The bars that served food for lunch this year were great. You could go to anyone at lunch and enjoy a great meal. The beach was great. Very clean. The room service was the best. Had a very nice and helpful, pleasant maid.

The grounds were very nice, rooms were old, out dated, broken plaster, poor beds. The staff were excellent, very friendly. Location was nice, The villa's were the most modern. The service was excellent, everyone wanted to help out,

I had a good deal...so for me it was o.k.....rooms were old and the pool at the bungalows stayed green ....beach, hotel very nice...food was good...for the price can not complain....The staff very nice...always wanting to help...I saw some of the villas...look nicer on the beach...not a place for people that drink...that was a non stop drunk for the younger generation....

everything was beautifully kept up . clean and litter free. Lots of walking to the different places .We were in the bungalows and the stage was right beside us and the dining room was only a stone throw away also .

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Fun Activities

Ok this place was nice enough. Food tasty - layers of flavour. BUT if you are looking for good sized meals - NOT here. The restaurant is more about showy fancy schmancy plates with swirls of this or that. Was not disappointed in the tastes but the portions - ugh. So many better places than this. Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Drinking and partying
