Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful beach

Good value. Food was typical for Cuba. Can’t understand why no onions or garlic in the food. Very odd since they grow it in abundance in Cuba. Hubby got sick and doctor was amazing. Very helpful. No charge. Curious to know what made hubby sick - food at buffet?

The hotel was great, staff very helpful and friendly. The only thing that was lacking was the food, It was all the same everyday. The beaches were clean and the gardens were beautiful. the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

The huge lobby and grounds are picturesque with plants and colourful bushes. The staff go out of their way to be helpful. The beach is gorgeous but can be very windy. The pool was green due to a lack of available chlorine. Deck chairs were sometimes hard to find. There was plenty of food and lots of choice with fresh fruit. The resort was only half open because of Covid so the tranquility pool was unavailable. The one downside was the time it took to get to the resort from the airport. Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Beautiful Resort!

Very relaxing resort. Beautiful beach, pools and weather. Escorted to room within about 5 minutes of arriving. Food very good. Entertainment team excellent....Yosvani, Jason and the rest of the guys. "Michael Jackson" rocked his show. Only downfall was the Snack Bar by the pool...usually out of what you ordered and very disorganized. Otherwise, would visit again anytime.

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Great resort

Very lovey resort it is not to big so everything is close by, you will find the best service at this resort than any another resort. The bus ride is a little long so make sure to travel in the day time so you can see everything on the ride to the resort.

The hotel was clean, well maintained, staff friendly. Food was good considering that some items are not attainable to them. Did not like that we could only add an hour to our check out time and it cost extra, if you have a late check in you should have a late check out. Rooms were not usually cleaned until later afternoon anyways.

The resort is super clean, all bars, snack bars and buffet areas are beyond expectations, even with covid protocols. Love this place and staff Pool is spectacular, rooms clean, food is good, if your not expecting unrealistic choices. Very happy

Melia Las Dunas: Great Family Vacation

Beautiful resort, good food, comfortable rooms with an amazing beach. The staff, in true Cuban fashion are warm, friendly and hospitable to a "T". The resort is still not operating at 100% as they are only opening as much as they can to keep the cleaning standards maxed out. 3 a-la carte options plus a 24 snack venue, plus the buffet and bbq area are open. LOVED This resort. There is lots to do, shows are on almost every night. There are multiple bars and snack bars to choose from. At lunch you have a lot of options from an open salad bar to fresh Pizza, burgers, Poutine, fries and more. They have Heinz Ketchup also. The grounds are kept very clean and tidy. The white sand beach is excellent. Few to No rocks to cut your feet on and pretty easy to walk on. If you ask any of the staff at the beach they can get you a beach chair. They have 2 beach bars. (Really 3 but the adult side of the resort was closed because of low attendance from COVID) BUT things are starting to really get back to life here. Lots of people to party with. The night life is not boring either with shows in the evening including a Beach party, Pool party after a water show and acrobatics in the lobby and more. You will not get bored at this resort that's for sure. Water in the pool is kept clean (it's also a massive pool) You can walk along the beach and past the closed resorts and hang with people from the nearby resort as well. If you want to meet new people, just get a buzz going at the Beach bar you will be sure to meet Many people there. Everyone we met was super friendly, It was a FANTASTIC 2 weeks we were there. Wish I could have stayed for longer. I would highly recommend it. Would come again in the near future.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Great place!!! Great team!

Just few days ago I and my wife come back from Royalton Cayo Santa Maria. I was really impressed not only by the place but also by the team, by people. They are doing everything what is possible to make us feel good, to enjoy this place, to relax, to have fun but also to have peace for reading and “meditation”, if that’s what you like. High class approach without being annoying – always pleasant conversation. Very professional people! They are fluent in many languages so there is no problem with communication. Our angel, person who is helping us in case of any question was Katia. She was sweetheart and she was very nice (her helper – too). There is a gardener, with characteristic dark hat, a titan of work, always - always busy, making “his” garden looking beautiful. So, we spend a beautiful week and we strongly recommend this place.

Melia Las Dunas: Still an amazing resort

Stayed Mar 29th to Apr 8th.This was our 5th time visiting this hotel. 1st time since 2019 due to Covid. Only one half of the resort was open. Adult side is closed until they can bring it up to par. That would have been nice to know prior. As long as you are not expecting an expensive Canadian 5 star meal, the food was good. Staff at this hotel go up and beyond to make you feel comfortable. All vendors are now not selling at the two markets. They are only available on the streets. Everything else needs to paid by credit card. Excursions were good value and fun.Beach here is second to none. Lots of room at the beach and pool, no need to reserve chairs. We will be back again.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Looks Nice but ...

No toilet paper in the public restrooms, luckily our room was right by the pool so we could run up there to use the facilities. Sometimes had to steal toilet paper off the cart and put in our room as well they did not always replace even when we were down to the last part of the roll. Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Pool at family section green and cloudy!

Just returned from our holiday. Upgraded from garden view to club garden view, we were told we could have access to adults only and the snack bar. Asked for French fries but told not for a white wristband. Went to snack bar in family section and asked for French fries. Told none available but the Cuban visitors were served some. Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Our home in Cuba!

This was our 7th time at Dhawa. We tried many resorts in Cuba but now that we found this gem, we don't go anywhere else. Best service from all employees and great rooms, great beach with lots of chairs and shade and beautiful water. All employees make us feel like we are part of the big Dhawa family. The food this time was the best so far. No shortage here. Lots of drinks except no cans of beer available but tons on draught. This was my favourite stay in Cuba. There are three gorgeous beaches and two pool areas. It’s a great place for snorkelling. It’s a smaller resort, which is perfect if you’re looking for a more peaceful vacation. The rooms are beautiful and have everything you need. There are three restaurants and a snack bar, as well as a shuttle service to dine at the neighbouring resort. Everyone is so kind and friendly, they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you want and anticipate what you might need. I’ve never felt more at home at a resort and I can’t wait to go back!

Very happy with this Resort staff friendly beautiful scenery and great variety of food choices. Loved the live Band performance and the wonderful scenery and variety of blooming plants 🪴 and wildlife. Highly recommend this wonderful Resort and the Food was excellent.👍🏽👏🏽

The hotel good layout ,clean ,great rooms . Food pretty good ,no bacon, drinks well done but no tonic water for my favourite drink gin and tonic.rooms well cleaned,supposed to have in your fridge each day water, 2colas and a beer,there wasn’t any beer during our 11day stay said no cans available! Changing at the hotel better with doing it with the staff ,better deal getting a1.40 for exchange. They are now taking Canadian tips Loonies & toonies .Really like U. S. All the stores in area only take credit cards with all prices in U.S. !,most travellers didn’t want to use there card with what happens back in Canada when you get your statement!there was a lot of Cubas at the resort due to the cancellation of Russians not able to go ,so had deals for locals to come . The manager this was done so that the hotel stayed open so that the workers could get paid. Overal a good trip ,might go back when all of todays problem settle down.
