Husband and I went for our honeymoon and it was more than we could
Ask for. I am a little bit of a clean freak, and this hotel was honestly so clean and modern. We didn’t hold back from eating things that could possibly make us sick, because everything looked so appealing and clean. From the rooms to the buffet, to the Signature restaurants at the hotel, everything was very clean, calm and beautiful. We felt so safe in there. The beach is also gorgeous... right by the waves and music and also[... read more] very family/kid friendly.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Great Location
The food was excellent at the buffet and the a-la-cartes. Waiter Philipe at the buffet was very attentive.

Paradisus Cancun: What we needed!
Before I described the resort; I'd like to say that we travel every year to all inclusive resorts that are rated 4.5 to 5 stars. We are an active couple in our low 50's. Before booking this resort, I read a lot of the reviews which I will address. We went to Paradisus Cancun Royal Service. The Royal Service is worth it. The arrival was fantastic and fast. We had someone assisting us as soon as we came out of the bus; very nice. The room was absolutely great with ocean views as soon as you step [... read more]in. I do agree with the reviews about the very dimmed lighting in the bathroom; I literally brought my makeup by the patio door where the lighting was bright. Some reviews complained about the lack of English channels; this is totally incorrect, there were plenty of English channels. We had room cleaning service morning and night which was very nice. The Royal Service pool was great with good temperature water. Within RS, you have the La Palapa restaurant which is by the pool area with ocean views. It is absolutely delicious, we ate all our breakfasts there and a few lunches. There is one buffet and it is good; not the best I have seen but very good food. We tried all the restaurants; my favorite was Vento, Bana, Feugo. Mole was really good but we are not fans of traditional Mexican food. Our least favorite was Enzo. Blues Agave...we read the menu then walked out...not interested. In general, the food is excellent and the service is awesome and we never waited for anything. About the chairs and Bali beds; there are plenty of chairs and you have access to as many towals as you want. You are allowed 2 Bali beds for a 7 day vaca. By 11 o'clock, if there are empty, go see the pool manager and you should be able to get one. We were there for 10 days and I got one everyday. The beach is long on each side; you can walk for ever if you want. There are no entertainment around the pool at the RS. The staff is just great, they really make your vacation better. Kudos to Degner, the pool manager, Moises, Joel and Manuel around the pool. All and all, it is a great resort.

GR Solaris: good but some problems
The solaris attempted giving us 2 different rooms that were below our paid booking, but offered ocianview rooms for an additional $280.00 US. Not acceptable since the place was not full. For the second offer, we were given a coded card, hauled our bags up to 4th floor room, entered and walked in on someone asleep in the room. It was 1:00 in the morning. Not secure, not professional, not acceptable. We are 2 seniors, arriving 4 hours late, due to flight and airport delays. They finally gave u[... read more]s an oceanview room. Food is pretty good, but the main buffet is sometimes closed, sending you to the "ballroom" where everyone sits a 10 person tables. Table -mates can very. As for ale carte bookings, they will "squeese" you in, make you wait 30 minutes, then you fine the place is half empty. Weird. Lovely staff. Great sandwich deli. Beautiful beach. Safe area for bussing around. We enjoyed our stay, but would probably give the gr solaris 31/2 stars.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Terrific resort
The rooms were very spacious and well appointed. The hotel is layed out very well and nothing is too far away. Lots of stairs which might not be great for those with mobility issues. The food was outstanding from the breakfast buffet to the beach restaurant. The Japanese restaurant was absolutely fantastic as was the service! Chianti had excellent dining as well. The pool area doesn’t have a lot of loungers but the beach area has lots. The service on the beach by all the servers d[... read more]eserves a huge thank you! They knew what we wanted and always had a smile! We would highly recommend this resort for those who like a smaller cozier resort!!

Riu Caribe Cancun: Great resort
We stayed at the RIU Caribe for a week in March 2020.
The staff here were incredible as well as the food - excellent in all restaurants and the buffet.
The only downfall was the extremely hard beds.
We usually stay in the Mayan riviera but wanted to try it right in Cancun for a change..... it was a great place but too much of a party vibe for us - which we were aware of but prefer the more laid back quiet of the Mayan.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great value cancun vacation
I recently booked a trip for two with my 19yr old son through trip central travelling via sunwing airlines. Fir the price ($2600) I don’t think I could find a better value fir a 7day all inclusive vacation Fir two. There were highs and lows however. The positives of this trip is 1) direct flight avoiding possible COVID19 exposure at multiple airports. 2) The airport pick up and drop off was very well organized. 3) multiple emails from trip central on things to know, do, booking confirmation he[... read more]lped with clarity and reducing risks associated with travel. 4) The grand oasis provides exceptional entertainment experience beyond what I expected. The fun factor is definitely undeniable. The hotel staff are generally polite and accommodating. The negatives are The food quality and service is So so, nothing I would go out of my way to eat. The food service quality is poor. I’m disgusted by the fact cups are picked up of the beach and pool deck to be reused. One of the plastic cups I drank out of had a black cigarette butt burn mark at the bottom of it which I only discovered after finishing most of my drink. The optics of seeing staff picking up cups to reuse is not good particularly while we are dealing with a infectious disease crisis globally. A service staff explained they don’t have enough cups and need to reuses cups laying around. I liked the salad bar but the “dos lunas†restaurant food quality was very poor. Late night food smelled off and not appetizing. Worst fettuccine alfedo I’ve ever had. The third day I was there dealt with severe stomach and back pain which was unsettling. Room was okay but small. Absolutely felt frustrated with workers drilling and hammering in adjacent rooms stating at 8am. Seemed like clock work. The other part that the resort doesn’t have A lot of control off is the noise level from spring breakers but guess that’s my fault fir time of year I chose. Also would have like daily replenishing of water and drinks rather than every 2-3 days. Overall, the spring break atmosphere made the resort a vibrant place to be and entertainment adds to that but food qusiity and service, as well as making the stay comfortable needs improvement.

Grand Sens Cancun: Was no room for me
I booked my holiday 4 days 3 nights through trip central as it turned out when I went to check in I was told their was no room for me… as it turned out I was offered another hotel 15 minutes away ( not my choice) but the check in person was great at the Sans he upgraded my room and offered me a black bracelet good for my entire stay, as well as a free stay for me and a guest at the Sans to be used within the year. The hotel I stayed at The Grand Oasis Pyramid was awful room was not a 4 star mo[... read more]re like a 2, the black bracelet was pretty much useless as every time I attempted to book a dinner I was told they were full. Very unhappy with Air Transat as they were the ones that handled everything through tripcentral.ca.
I am a very understanding person if I had another passenger with me we would have been upset more.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres
the Grand Palladium is a beautiful clean and modern hotel, excellent pools, great service with extremely friendly staff
The food is good but for me not 5 star, the buffets have no variety, each night and lunch is exactly the same, a lot of things do run out early and they don't seem to replenish
The a la carte restaurants are excellent

This was such a great experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious in all of the restaurants including the buffet! The staff was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The grounds were beautiful and super clean. Honestly from the front desk, concierge, pool staff and cleaning staff we have nothing negative to say. Just bring lots of small bills for tipping:)

Grand Sens Cancun: Decent adult only resort
i have been to several all inclusive resorts and this is the first time booking an adult only resort. It was a bit smaller but had all the amenities you need.
There were a couple of options for a la carte restaurants and the food was quite good. The drawback is there were no reservations so you had to figure out the best times to go so you did not have to wait too long. The buffet was mediocre but plenty of variety.
Rooms were clean and we were lucky to have a balcony as not all had one. T[... read more]hey stocked with water, pop and beer every other day.
Staff were overall friendly and helpful.
Beach is nice but you have to get up by 6:30 to reserve a decent spot if you want a shaded area and chair.
There is one pool which is adequate for the resort but it would have been nice to have a few more options.
There are two other affiliated resorts which you can access during the day if you want a change of scenery.
There was a lack of activity staff but the location is ideal to take a walk or bus to local shopping, activities and other restaurants.
Evening entertainment was good.

Grand Sens Cancun: Grand Sens Cancún Mexico
Well our stay at Grand Sens Cancún was just a few days ago feb 23/2020 to March 6 2020.
Honestly I am not really sure what I can say about our 12 day stay other than amazing right from the start. While checking in we inquired about upgrading and decided not to do. We entered our room and we where in shock we had room 4129 A....omg she gave us a suite it was amazing everything about it. Let’s just say 12 days awesome Ac 12 days awesome maid service ( never used the safe left stuff all over t[... read more]he room and nothing ever went missing. 12 days always hot water. Just wonderful. The buffet omg unbelievable awesome 12 days of fantastic food and the staff in the buffet dinning room went out of there way ALWAYS. The coffee bar omg another awesome thing about Grand Sens. The beach and water area another perfect place spend most of our 12 days there. Just a short walk out front of building to jump on to the Ultramar ferry to Isla Mujeres short little ride to another awesome day trip. Also in same spot u jump on the Dancer party boat, Jolly Roger boat and Captian Hook boat. The front desk workers went out of there way anytime we had questions. Just can’t say enough about this place soooo clean and awesome will most definitely will be back. Glenn Susan Crepeele Manitoba Canada

Occidental Tucancun: Good place to stay
We spent 2 weeks in Occidental Tucancun and had a really good time. The hotel was clean and had all the amenities one needs. It was really handy to have the mall across the street. The location of this hotel is great. The beach was beautiful as as always the case in the hotel zone and we spent a lot of time playing in the waves. If you are not a good swimmer, the ocean is tricky as the currents were strong and the waves big. We also found it quite windy, more so than in previous years when we we[... read more]nt to Cancun or Mayan Riviera. The food was decent. The Mexican restaurant was quite good and the Italian restaurant made a good to order pasta. The room was large and clean and the fridge restocked daily. Our room was facing the lagoon and the AC noise was really loud so we had to keep the windows closed. That was one negative. The other bigger negative was that you had to pay extra for wi-fi ($45 US a week). We never had to pay that much money for wi-fi. So we didn't. We would walk over to the mall and connect there. The staff at OT were very friendly. I want to especially thank Louis and Antonio at the beach restaurant for their hospitality and bright smiles. Overall it was a great hotel and we would definitely recommend this resort.

Atelier Playa Mujeres: Best resort we have stayed in
The hotel and grounds are immaculate, the food in the restaurants was amazing. The people working at the resort were outstanding, always we were greeted with “Hola†and a smile and they placed there right hand over their heart.
The service in the restaurants was very attentive. We were there for 2 weeks and everyone from the maids, the cleaners and waiters treated us like friends.
The hotel is about a half hour north of Cancun, it’s in a quiet area and not a lot to do close by if you wan[... read more]t to go shopping.
I would recommend Atelier for the food, the relaxation and most of all the beautiful Mexican people.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Great family resort
Finest playa mujeres was a great family friendly resort. We went with a 8 month old baby and they provided all the baby amenities like bottle warmer, sterilizer, bath tub, monitor, crib. They also have an awesome kids centre while our baby was too young to take full advantage of it, it would be a great place for toddlers and older. The resort had great amenities, staff was friendly and offered amazing service and food was good. I would definitely go back and plan to when my little guy is older.

Iberostar Selection Coral Cancun: Not A 5 Star âï¸ (Adult Section)
We stayed in the adult section of this resort and definitely not a 5 star. We met with our concierge for less than 5 minutes on our arrival and never saw him again. Our building was literally 100 ft away from the kids section of the Resort next door (Seadust ). Our room was lovely and clean. Nice balcony with ocean view. Mini fridge was not restocked. Only one a la carte and one buffet. The remaining restaurants were in the family section. Reservations for theses places had to be made the day af[... read more]ter our arrival otherwise, according to staff, they would be fully booked (which was not true). Food was good...was not expecting anything fancy. Swimming pool was toooo cold to swim in, it would be like a polar dip in Canada. Finally we were able to use it on the 5th day of our stay. Ran out of Mojitos (in Mexico ???) and ran out of white wine...I would rate this as a 3+ Adult Resort and would recommend staying in the family section....it looked much nicer. Shutout to Luis at the steakhouse restaurant who went out of his way to find the wine I enjoyed.....
