The Westin Reserva Conchal Golf Resort & Spa: Honeymoon luxury

I was impressed by the service, especially the 24 hour room service which was our favorite for breakfast (better than the buffet). We were celebrating our honeymoon and were given wine/chocolates however nothing else that the "honeymoon package" describes. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I loved the yoga classes and other daily activities available. I would definately return to CR and to Westin

The Westin Reserva Conchal Golf Resort & Spa: Outstanding!

The hotel grounds were beautiful and lush, the room was spacious, the staff outstanding especially Errol and David. The food was delicious, and the pool was beautiful, we loved the cabanas. We have nothing but good things to say and cannot wait to return.

Riu Guanacaste: Nice resort in Guanacaste

It's a little strange that this resort is right next to another Riu property, one that is ostensibly 'better'. I liked this place however, the team at ScubaCaribe were great! The buffet food was surprisingly good (sushi! Get there early). On the negative side the front desk staff seemed a little unwilling to assist with fairly modest requests.

Riu Guanacaste: Average Resort

Nice and clean but few choices of vegetarian food. There were not any good sea food, only one day we got shrimps & lobsters but rest of the days one fried fish dish but the fish had smell we didn't like. Pool had lot of chlorine in it and the beach had stones on our side had to walk a bit to get smooth surface

Riu Guanacaste: Very Good

This resort hotel is well built, clean with good dining and good service. The beach is good for swimming at the western side. Excursion agents available on site and currency exchange at front desk. Reservations for a la carte restaurants is problematic as after long waiting line one is told they are all filled up.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Azaming Place & Experience!

The whole experience was amazing..... the rooms where very nice and couldn't have been cleaner, the staff was amazing top to bottom and very friendly, the food it was all great with lots of variety so something for everyone. There was always something to do if you wanted or just relaxing by the ocean or pools was perfect. We had a blast and would fully recommend the RIU! It was first class!!

The Westin Reserva Conchal Golf Resort & Spa: Excellent family vacation

I travelled with my wife and 2 children (ages 7 &10) between May 9-16, 2015. We enjoyed every minute of it. The food was great, the weather was amazing. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Riu Guanacaste: Spectacular Resort

This was an amazing resort experience!! since it was our 1st time going to Riu we were not sure what to expect..our stay was luxurious, breath taking views & friendly staff who met all our needs and more! I would go back to this resort again just to capture the magic of its beauty..well done Riu Guanacaste you sure deserve a great review

Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful Resort

The amenities were well kept and beautiful! Food was delicious and my group had the best time!! Can't wait to visit again! The only complaint I would have is that the check in times seemed late and inflexible. We had to kill some time till our rooms were ready.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Fantastic Resort

The RIU Palace in Costa Rica, lived up to our high expectations and then some. My daughter and I travelled there April 27 to May 4, 2015. This was our first time at a RIU and we have travelled a lot so we have a lot to high quality resorts to use to compare against. This resort was beautiful and well managed. Rooms were well appointed, modern and clean. We had jungle view and sights and sound great (I.e., mountains, jungle, birds and holler monkeys). The pools and grounds to the beach were beautiful and well maintained. Lots of shade trees at the beach if you are not a sun worshipper, and the service for drink at the pool and while lounging on the beach were excellent, many thanks to waiter serving the beach! The beach was wonderful, not white sand but blackish volcanic, very hot not in shade, but if walking by water awesome. Was very secluded and pristine. Some say a lot of rock but we did find it overly so. Special shout out the Edgar at front desk he was very helpful and extremely friendly, thanks Edgar! The food at the buffet and restaurants was excellent, lots of variety, served hot and tasty. We really enjoyed the steak and the gourmet restaurants! The servers at all restaurants were extremely friendly and responsive. The coffee is amazing, just thought I would throw that one in. There is WiFi throughout hotel and even on the beach, but in our room it cut out sometime and I found myself sitting on the balcony were reception was fine, so no big deal and got to enjoy holler monkeys more too. We took the boat cruise in Paolo Verde National Park and saw lots of wildlife, tour guide was very informative, but we found out later that lunch was supposed to be provide and it was not? Lastly you got to try the homemade cookies in the lounge :) very yummy. RIU Palace top marks, Costa Rica is definitely a destination you have to experience and this resort will make it all the more better for you. This country has made my possibilities for retirement plans for sure. Wishing I was soaking the sun on the beach at RIU Palace right now! I gotta get me a RIU membership now I think...

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Great resort. So so beach

Great resort. Food was very good. The people working at the resort were fantastic. no bathroom by the pools which was strange.Not an adults only, but not a kid friendly resort. After the show was over, not much to do at night Overall very good

Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful Resort

The hotel was beautiful and workers were extremely helpful and kind. The swim-up bar and pool area was like nothing I've ever seen before just stunning... The nightly entertainment was a good way to end a wonderful day...

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Excellent resort!

Beautiful resort, large clean suites, dining is spectacular - especially the lunch BBQ at the pool! Lobster, sushi, guacamole made daily. Everything you could possibly want - even Canadian Club! Only downside is the beach. Black sand gets too hot in 100 degree weather. Pools are awesome and fun times at the swim up bar!

Rooms not good too much walking not a value no shade manager great, bar staff great, resort not appealing !!!! food culd be better !!! Resort is not wat Yu expect . Riu beside it was beautiful with lots going on . BBQ was good at the pool , swim up pool smelt of urine washrooms were far away shuld be closer They need to have a shuttle service . The shows at night were fantastic very excellent .

Allegro Papagayo by Occidental: Fantastic

The resort was very clean and the staff was unbelievable. It does need a bit of updating, but I would definitely stay there again. The food was fantastic. Lots to see and do. I look forward to returning.

Allegro Papagayo by Occidental: Fabulous Holiday

My husband and I had an amazing vacation in Costa Rica. The resort was fine by our accounts. The grounds were clean and green even at the peak of the dry season. The food was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly. The monkeys at the resort were priceless. The water was beautiful and warm. Our excursions were easy to book. From booking the vacation to getting our flights to coming home again, we never experienced any problems.

Allegro Papagayo by Occidental: Not the best!

Although the hotel was nice enough, the staff were not there to serve. The beach was alright but the guys selling the time shares were annoying and approached me everytime I went to the beach. The food was delicious, the drinks sucked! The other huge issue with this resort is the fact that they let the locals in for the weekend on a pass. They filled up the pool, kids swimming in diapers everywhere and everyone at that point catered to the locals and spoke only in Spanish. As far as Costa Rica g [... read more]oes, I think the country in beautiful and we had a great time when we were on excursions but if I went back I would definitely choose a different hotel.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: disapointment

The rooms were not clean. Items that were to be there were not. the rest of the resort was well looked after. The bar staff was excellent. The front desk was excellent. The rest of the resort halls,romms and walk way were all dirty

Riu Palace Costa Rica: very enjoyable stay.

The hotel was very clean....staff was cleaning the lobby, the grounds and even the walk ways daily. The staff was friendly the food the great except I did find the Asian restaurant was not very good compared to the other places to eat. Had no issues get chairs at the pool or beach durning the day. I would gladly return for another vacation.
