Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Excellent Resort!

There is a reason why this resort gets a 5 Star Rating, the resort is amazing! Can’t say enough about the experience from beginning to end! Glad I choose this resort for my Dominican Republic vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Absolutely Amazing!

We are so pleased we chose to book an early Christmas vacation to Bahia Principe Luxary Ambar Punta Cana on Dec. 14th with Air Canada. It was everything we hoped for plus more. Decorations were impeccible. The attention, friendliness and knowledge of staff were unforgettable. The main buffet and La Brisa was always well stocked with delicious options. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Too bad for the price they charge

Bad service. When you have a complaint about the service they say’ no hablo ingles”. There was no fish in the menu, nor beef. Only pork. Barely any passion fruits. Dirty. Plates are made of plastic; glasses are made of plastic too. The room was clean; however we found 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. The beach was so so dirty: seaweed was removed from the shore only 2x in 7 days, there was plastic in the water, boats were too close to the beach- it smelled like gasoline and it blocked the view

TRS Turquesa: Great experience

All aspects of the hotel were very good - cleanliness, food, rooms, staff and support. Sargassum / seaweed was plentiful on the beach, cleanup crews struggled to keep up. May be due to prevailing winds for the winter season (Dec 2025).

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Wonderful time, wonderful memories!

Stayed at Dreams Cap Cana for the Christmas holidays and to celebrate a birthday! Family of 7. The resort was a dream. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, the grounds and the overall esthetics of the resort. Food was good. Restaurants should have hours displayed as they didn’t follow what was detailed in the app. A lot of the staff did not speak or understand English, which would be the only negative. And the beach. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great Family Decompression Vacay

Loved the rooms (had swim up suites) and the friendliness of the staff. The suites are large, clean and nicely spaced out. There is a ton of seating so even though it was a busy time (December school break) there was always a lounger available. There are a lot of bars and the bartenders are entertaining and eager to serve. The food at the steakhouse and fine dining was the best. We were underwhelmed by the food and service in the Italian restaurant and seafood restaurant for dinner but the  [... read more]seafood restaurant is a breakfast buffet in the morning that cant be beat in terms of choice of food and scenery. We used the spa and really enjoyed the hydrotherapy with our group and played a round of golf that was fun as well. Entertainment was available every evening and that was good amusement. Our first time at the resort and will visit again.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great resort

The grounds of this resort are beautiful and very clean. Smaller resort with great staff. Food is very good and the alacartes are amazing. Very safe and can walk to a small mall at the road at end of resort. Only thing that I would suggest is they have 4 tables and chairs outside the buffet it would be nice to add at least 8 more table and chairs to sit and have a drink in the open air if you did not want to see the shows. .

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: The worst resort I have been

This resort is maybe two star and only because of the staff the service desk, the waitress bartender, they did an excellent job The resort itself falling apart the rooms are not in a shape to stay in. The food is always cold. Never been heated right Think twice if you wanna go there

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Needs a lot of improvements

A/C leaking Paint peeling off on the inside of bathtub String for hanging wet bathing suits missing Toilet clogged and leaking Some rooms are missing art on walls Fridges get refilled with beer on some days but not daily Housekeeping takes the towels away at 9am, doesn't bring new ones until 2 hours or so later. Viva Miches by Wyndham: Great Resort!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food, entertainment, and overall atmosphere were excellent, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. The staff was attentive and friendly, making our experience very enjoyable. The only small downside was the bar, which could use more staff and glassware. At times, proper glasses ran out, and being served a beer in a small juice glass wasn’t ideal. The entertainment team was outstanding, and Aries truly deserves special mention. It was amazing to watch my son participate in volleyball, bocce, and Zumba alongside guests who didn’t even speak English. Aries’ kindness, energy, and genuine enthusiasm created unforgettable memories for our family. He is a true asset to the resort.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: For the Money.......Great resort

We have been going to the Casa Marine for 6 years & over all are quite satisfied. Food iis good & we find the staff excellent. When booking this year we requested a bottom floor unit as we are seniors & are having a little difficulty managing the stairs. On arriving they had us placed in a different building then requested but also on the third floor. If requests from the agency's are ignored why waste time making them. Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Great beach and locatiom

Our room was in the newer section and very nice. The resort was well maintained and nicely decorated for Christmas. There were some minor shortcomings; sun loungers had no cushions, towels and sheets all looked grey, food and drink quality was inconsistent. We enjoyed ourselves very much and the price was great so we would recommend.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Enjoyable Week

Enjoyed most aspects of this hotel. The food sometimes could have been better. Roast pork, beef, and lamb at the buffets was disappointingly tough and dry. A couple of the specialty restaurants weren’t great.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing trip

The trip was great and the staff was so friendly and helpful and we will definitely be going back. Bahai Príncipe Luxury Ámbar In Punta Cana.i was so impressed I am taking my sister and niece there in April 2026.

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: December vacation

This review is long due to some discrepancies and wanting to give an honest review. Check-in & Room: Arrived before 3pm check-in on a Sunday. They did not have our reservation (Tripcentral were advised and responded it had been confirmed). Gave us bracelets to grab a meal and returned at 3. They had the only room left in the hotel ready, not our top floor preference but 2nd floor, Superior with king bed. (We did not book upgraded rooms) The room looked great (swim-up rooms below) but a few t [... read more]hings weren’t working.. which were taken care of promptly by the Housekeeping Supervisor - fridge was replaced, 2 patio chairs were brought, hair dryer replaced. Shower hose was broken (could not shower), so after no replacement on day 1, we waited at reception until maintenance brought a new one - had to assist maintenance on using a washer and that was fixed. All was smooth from then on. Shower stall has a small lip that overflows onto the floor (needs caulking under glass too) - we heard another room in a different building had the same issue. Bed was comfy - pillows too firm for us (hubby used a towel). Not many storage drawers in the room, and bathroom vanity is just sufficient for 2 people’s personal travel bags. Bath amenities were in pumps & more than enough for our 2 weeks use. TV has minimal English channels (WB & sometimes HBO). Balcony is large - nothing to dry suits on except chairs. The morning we left, there’d been rain overnight and the toilet was gurgling so we’re not sure if there was going to be plumbing issues - the ceiling in bathroom was dripping on our backs at the sink. Room 16210. Meals: buffet is good with daily Dinner themes. On weekends, lots of domestic bookings and with it are crowds and mostly Dominican style breakfasts. Weekday breakfasts include bacon, smoked salmon/capers/cream cheese. All days include omelette station, pancakes, banana or papaya smoothie station. Lots of cereal, oatmeal, hot cocoa, fresh fruit. About 14 hot plates with variety of choices for all 3 meals. Small Lobster in paella or seafood stew one night/week. Beach restaurant: same menu daily: burgers, hotdogs, nachos & cheese, fried chicken pieces, small salad bar, fruits, buns, dessert. Coffee/tea service are in mini cups. A La carte: 2 per 7 night stay - book with bar code 3-4 days ahead, or at customer service 2 days ahead. Lolita’s Mexican was our fav & the only time we had avocados (recommend corn soup, shrimp tacos) - Amici Italian was very good. We didn’t get to Dominican resto. Wait staff everywhere were friendly and helpful. Some very professional. Entertainment & activities: gym looked great. Lots of daily activities.. more than we typically see at a resort - schedule wasn’t posted on a board.. changing to electronic bar code at reception - we obtained a schedule from customer service. We enjoyed mini golf, archery, cornhole games. They also have tennis, batting cage, various competitions like darts. Oh yes, pool foam party every week was fun to watch - and nice to see a safety barrier for young kiddies. Very active team organize water exercises, sports, bingo. Pools do not have a lifeguard so please watch your little ones as their pool is between 2 other pools. Beach: amazing deep, white sand beach - very well maintained. Lifeguards are at the beach and police patrol regularly on ATV. In 2 weeks we had 2 red flag days from high winds/surf and they made sure no one was swimming. The water has a strong current pull so little ones need to be supervised. Generally it’s a gradual walk into the water, but there can be holes with tides changing. Bars: 24 hr is by the pools and do not use glass (kudos as it’s next to pools). At the beach bar, buy a fresh coconut $4, or whole pineapple. Bartenders are great and keep the lines moving well. Cafe: we loved the cappuccinos and Frappuccinos - small desserts avail too. There’s a price list, but it’s included for all-inclusive guests. Only item we’d be charged for are $5 fresh fruit popsicles. Milwaukee sports bar - we didn’t bother, except for popcorn, but theres snacks and billiards, TVs. Nightly entertainment - we were in the room or sitting by ocean at night, so have no opinions on it. Beach party one night. Overall, it seems some rooms maintenance or an upgrade will be coming in future. We were very pleased to get everything fixed in the room easily, and preventing a room change, because who wants to spend precious vacay time doing that! We loved our stay and would return.

Casa de Campo: Such a marvellous place!!

Although such a massive compound, after a day it’s really easy to get around with the supplied golf cart. The food is incredible at all restaurants. By far the best food we have had anywhere. The beach is on the smaller side but it’s clear and calm. Exactly what we wanted. We rode once at the Equestrian centre and visited twice more. U can tell this place cares for their horses which was sooo important to us. My one suggestion would be to figure out a bracelet system for all inclusive as waiti [... read more]ng to sign ur bill only to have it credited to ur room was tiresome. U also have to remember ur ID card on u at all times. Oh! The one thing I thought a bit nickel and dime is ur drinks in ur fridge. If u use any of it ur are charged. We went all inclusive but if I wanted a coke or alcohol I had to drive the golf cart to the bar or pay for the drink from our room fridge. This is a pricey all inclusive so I thought charging for ur room drinks petty. All in all u can’t go wrong at this resort. We usually have to use caution on food in Dominican but not here? We would absolutely return. Driving and seeing all the grounds and beautiful homes was a bonus. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate what ever u want!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Loud feral cats!

The resort was beautiful but most nights were disrupted sleep because of screaming feral cats. We also experienced a Cockroach in room the last day :/. The outlet in out bathroom had burn marks on it and the blow dryer wouldn’t work in it.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

We stayed at the Secrets Royal Beach and had an amazing vacation. Staff, restaurants, beach, pool and all amenities were fantastic. We certainly will be returning! Thank you to Shannon Ashford for helping us book this trip.
