Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort wonderful vacation

Great and beautiful resort, really well kept, nice staff, great entertaining crew, good options for kids - waterpark, lazy river, kid's club and also live shows for kids. The only thing we were not happy about was with the pushy up selling of their Diamond club, I bit annoying after a while. Overall experience was great and the amazing staff was always very nice.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Tranquility at Royalton Cayo Santa Maria

Like what it's says in the title, if you are looking to rest and have tranquility while having fun this is the place for you. This hotel offers a very clean soroundings including your your room. The place is maintain with very nice people all very attentive of your needs. Very clean pool and a 24 hours snack bar which is very close to all apartment or houses where your rooms are. I would recommend this hotel for everyone that are looking for security, tranquility, and a fun vacation. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

we stayed in the junior suite with a swim pool; the rooms were a good size; the washroom was a bit tight; the beach was very nice; the weather was decent; not a lot of rain; the alacartes were amazing; we went to most of them; steak house, Brazilian, Korean; the buffet both at breakfast and lunch had plenty of choices and were very good; the staff were friendly; the hotel was very clean; overall we had a great experience and I would recommend it;

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: wonderful resort

Everything was exceptional except the view from your room in the gardenview area. It is not a gardenview but rather a swamp with trees with a bad smell coming from it. Could not sit out on your balcony

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Satisfactory Resort

We have been to Varadero about 8 times in the past 4 years. This hotel is rated as a Diamond. It is far too tired looking for that rating. A 3.5 Star rating would be more accurate. The reception was disappointing. A group of about 20 Most of the little river canals that run outside of the rooms are empty, so guests see empty concrete as they stroll from their rooms to other areas of the resort. The first room we received had dirty windows, problematic air conditioning, and few toiletries. The second room was better. The beach is beautiful and well maintained. Buffet food is standard --equal to buffets in 3.5 Star hotels that I have stayed in in Varadero. The Italian and International a la carte restaurants were very good. The drinks at the lobby bar were fine. Paradisius Del Mar and Iberostar are close by. In my mind, both are nicer, have equal or better food, and are less expensive.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Excellent service

I really enjoyed my stay here. It in the hotel zone which it close to all the nightlife like the coco bongo and all the night clubs. The spa is amazing. Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Wonderful Family Trip

We stayed as a family of 9 with 4 separate rooms. We decided to pick all Diamond Club and I believe it was worth the extra cost. Our Butler team of Denesha and Damion were fantastic and multiple times went that extra little bit to help make our trip wonderful. We had issues with lights in one of our rooms for the first 2 days, and after a few maintenance trips it was resolved - they were always quick to come look when I called about it. The restaurant staff was mostly great, with a few exceptions around speed of service and one or two who just didn't seem to want to be there. My biggest disappointment was the kids club (broken air hockey and limited toys) and that Max and Ruby weren't around as advertised and my kids were told "they went on a long vacation". One more set of problems I had was that the Diamond Club swim up bar had speakers, but was never playing any music and I was told they don't work plus a few times it ran out of a certain alcohol and they either said sorry no more or someone had to go get some (and only got some in a small cup for 1 or 2 servings). My final issue was some ceiling damage that was flaking down the whole time over top of one of the pull out beds. I didn't notice this until the last day, but my kid told me it happened the whole time (I didn't report it until check out as I didn't know) so I can't say if they would've fixed it or not. All my issues aside, we had a great family trip. The food was spectacular (no ribs the whole time made some of us sad) and the place was well kept generally. The staff always greeted people and some stopped to talk to us and the kids. We had a few team members who were exceptional, especially with the kids.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Lower your standards for service

The good- Rooms were great. Resort is clean modern and beautiful. Beach is beautiful. Food is good for the most part. The bad- Resort is smaller than we are used to. There is only one small pool that we have access to. You must upgrade to diamond club to get full 5 star experience. The service was the worst I have ever experienced from all of my vacation experiences. You will be offered drugs at some point during vacation. People smoke marijuana all over the place. This was an expensive vacation and we could have had a better time somewhere else for half the price.

Everything was great! Food is delicious and rooms are spacious and clean! Variety of activities for everyone, kids enjoyed their stay so much. A la carte restaurants are amazing and the overall service is great!

The staff totally make this resort. They are friendly, happy to help and seem to know what you need before you do. The grounds are kept immaculate. Food is good. The 24 hour bistro is great and the food there is also good. We would definitely go again.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Didn’t meet expectations

I would give this resort a 3.5/5, even by Cuban standards. The grounds were well maintained and the beach was wonderful. The pool was lacking - very shallow and not near enough shaded loungers. If you want to lay in the sun without a shade, there are lots of loungers. But if you prefer some protection from the sun, you won’t have much choice. The rooms are large and kept clean. However, they have an ant problem so do not even take food products into your room- the ants WILL find it. Al [... read more]though kept clean, towel and fridge service seems to depend on how large your daily tip is. Less than 5cuc, don’t expect all of your towels to be replaced or the fridge stocked. Butler service is a joke. Anything we asked for (more towels, broken umbrella replaced,some matches etc) was denied and we were told to call housekeeping. The one thing we requested that was in their power, they didn’t even do. We requested a Bali bed on the beach for the next day (at an additional cost) and were told “it’s done!” The next morning when we went to the beach, they hadn’t received our reservation. The butler service sounds great as a selling point but in practicality, it’s pointless. The food was the best we’ve had in our 10 years going to Cuba. That being said, the buffet and the 24 hour bistro have an extreme fly problem. I know it’s the Caribbean and to expect a few flies. But this was horrible and the worst I’ve ever seen! We went to sit down at one buffet table but thought twice when we saw 6 houseflies sitting on the cutlery and napkins. The buffet is full of flies. You use your cutlery with one hand and keep swatting at the flies with the other. I don’t know how they will fix this problem but something has to be done. Would I return? Maybe. But not at full price, maybe at 50% off. There are other resorts in Cuba that are a fraction of their price and just as good, if not better.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing!!!!!!

This hotel was amazing! So many activities to do! Very clean and the staff were so friendly. Did often run out of a few things like champagne, and mint for mojitos but overall I enjoyed my stay. The availability of food and drinks 24hrs a day was great. Butler service was good as well.

Very friendly staff and great service. Resort was always clean and pools well looked after. Only complaint we have is that there were a lot of smokers and we had to keep moving around to get away from all the smoke. The resort should restrict areas that smokers can light up.

THIS HOTEL IS VERY NICE, THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD WITH LOTS OF CHOICES FOR EVERYONE. THE STAFF HERE WAS ALOT OF FUN AND INTERACTED WITH THE GUESTS WHICH IS WONDERFUL--THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL, POLITE, FUN, AND REALLY MADE FOR AN ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY. Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia: Very Friendly Staff and Amazing Weather

Staff was very friendly and always helpful, Marlin & Johnny at the pool bar and Giovonni at the bar just outside of the sports bar we super. All staff we dealt with at the Restaurants polite and helpful. The Dorado was our favorite. Rooms were very nice, except our friends room the air conditioning did not work, they had to ask three times to have it fixed, and when they got it fixed it only worked for one day and then stopped working again. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great Break

Toronto airport reception by Sunwing was timely and efficient. Arriving in Cuba was easy however we had to wait in the bus for over an hour because two of the guests were caught bringing drugs into Cuba - Bad. The hotel reception was good and our room was first class - I believe it was recently renovated. The beach was fantastic and the meals were very good. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Fantastic resort.

Perfect for families and for couples. Royalton did a excellent job of making a family resort without parents feeling like their trapped in kiddy land. Staff was very helpful and quick! Resort was clean, Food was really good, the room was gorgeous ! Entertainment was always going day & night and they switched it up so it wasn’t the same thing day in day out. Ocean was perfect when we went. My family loves The royalton resorts and we will keep going.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Royalton Hicacos - Lovely Resort

The Royalton Hicacos was a great spot for a beach vacation! Although not directly on the beach with ocean views, the bungalows are nicely situated. Be prepared for a lot of walking to and from rooms to the beach and grounds. Everything is clean and well kept. The bed was quite comfy, there is a stocked mini fridge and coffee/Kureg machine in the room. You will NEED AN ADAPTOR in the room to plug in your devices. They do have these at the front desk, but will need to ask for it. The beach  [... read more]is the star of the show, and is great for strolling and swimming. The beach staff will take you out on the water on a Hobby Cat, you can kayak and paddleboat, all included. You can also go snorkeling for 20 CUC (Cuban Convertible Pesos), which was a far better experience than the excursion booked through the travel agent. A la Carte restaurants were very good, make sure you book them as soon as you get there so you get in and get a decent time. No issues with food or drinks - but bring a 'traveler' cup (Bubba) for your drinks - they will fill up and you can take to the beach and stay cold. Evening entertainment every night at 9:30 was pretty good and the venue is outdoors, so very comfortable. The pool was nice with cabanas for lounging. There is an afternoon FOAM party in the pool twice a week, and water aerobics and daily pool side entertainment. The staff were generally helpful and our butler was very nice and accommodating. You can buy WiFi: 1 CUC peso for 1 hour. Take Canadian $, and change at the resort. We travelled the week of Sept 23rd, and for $200 Canadian, got 146 CUC. The hotel gift store was ridiculously expensive, so don't plan on buying anything at the resort. You can take a local bus from the resort into Varadero to the market for 5 CUC - the pass lasts all day and gets you there and back. There are only 2 buses that run into town every hour, so plan accordingly. For a 5* Cuban resort, it was a noticeable improvement from our previous visit to Memories in Varadero, and overall, would recommend the resort.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Best resort

The hotel was amazing. clean rooms, fun friendly staff, fun nightly shows food was delicious and the butlers made sure everything went well through the whole week. I will definitely be rebooking next year.

Although our stay was the beginning of May and we expected things to not be completed as we were warned ahead of time, we didn't quite expect our stay to turn out the way that it did. We had many issues during our stay, and to this day they haven't been resolved. The resort definitely has potential, the staff was extraordinary and extremely polite. Communications at this resort are very poor, management needs some serious work on customer service skills. The minor things that we were told about prior to travel that could be overlooked and accepted did not include the loud construction right outside of our room, an inaccessible patio due to construction dust and workers constantly starring, the view of the mountain which also included construction workers, johnny on the spots and all construction tools/equipment. brown water, no hydro, no maid service, 2-4 hour waits for dinner, bars not being re-stocked which led to limited drink service, beach umbrellas that weren't properly anchored in the sand which led to injuries on windy days to name a few. The resort definitely had it's perks and I am sure the longer they are open the more things will be perfected and it will be a beautiful 5*
