The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Amazing family resort!

We just came back from a wonderful week at Azul Fives. Our 1 bedroom suite was unexpectedly spacious, and kept very clean every day. The resort itself is beautiful, we loved that there were lots of pools and a lazy river that runs through the resort, so you are not limited to the main pool near the beach. The grounds are beautiful and clean. Staff were the best, very friendly and always quick to get you what you need. Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Ok trip but not awesome !!!

We arrived after a 1hr 20min trip by bus after waiting 45 min for pass(s) who did not show up. The room when we arrived had water on the floor from the rain that came in from the second floor walkway. This took 5 hours to get cleaned up after speaking to 4 staff members. The phone in the room did not work for the whole time we were there which meant we could not call our friends to set up dinner/bar get together. We did not until we asked get our robes and slippers as "Imperial" guests. The food [... read more] in the restaurants was good. It is a very large complex ..we waited for carts to take us places as I have some mobility issues. We got the building we wanted but not the floor(1st). Really need to put handrails on the stairs up and down..this would be an easy fix. The entertainment was almost non existent ..on after 10pm so not much use to us. It is also confusing how to read the board where these are advertised. To reserve at one of the restaurants have to be at the desk in WS at 8am for the next day and she was late the day we went and so missed out from reserving a seating as they were now full. We decided not to bother and went to the ones that you did not need a reservation or the buffet. The problem seem to us to be one of not communicating effectively.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Very nice

Let me start by saying first of all it's a beautiful resort and the staff is wonderful. But, if you are beach people this is not the place for you. It's a very small rocky beach. The grounds are kept in immaculate condition and all the buildings beautifully clean. The staff are all fantastic as well as the food and drinks. They do make up for the beach though with wonderful pools and great swim up bars. Having the dolphin show at the resort is also really nice

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Perfection in Paradise

The resort being new is fantastic. The grounds, facilities, rooms, pools and of course the food was amazing. The friendliness of all of the staff was welcoming. Everyone wore a smile on their faces at all times

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great vacation

Gran Bahia Principe Tulum is amazing place to stay, directly on Beach, grounds are immaculate and has atmosphere of small village. Very easy to walk around, Palm trees and flowers line them which give a tranquil feeling.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Awesome resort, awesome vacation!

Weve been to the excellence resorts 4 times and werent sure about valentine but we were not disappointed. Lovely rooms, beautiful grounds, top notch food, drinks and service. Beach is amazing. People go out of their way to please you. Highly recommend. Anything you need or want to amend they are quick to address.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Family Fun in the Sun

We had stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Akumal a few years ago, so we were excited to take our enlarged family of 12 to the Coba section this time around. The draw for choosing the Coba was the kids waterpark (we had 4 young ones with us) and the kids just loved it. I don't think there is a kids waterpark of this size on the Mayan Riveira - big hit with the kids. (Just hard to get to beach for the beautiful sunrise photos - shuttle starts at 7:15am and its too far to walk) The service there is very attentive, but compared to Jamaica, the English is lacking. There were lots of entertainment options for all, great food, we really enjoyed all of the a-la-carts except the Brazilian (Tortuga) where the meat was way over cooked. The rooms are very spacious + nice jacuzzi in the room. My daughters are very fussy - but it passed the test with them as well. The restaurants were always able to accommodate a large group like ours with kids, even the picky eaters never ate so much :) There was something for everyone. NOTE: the chair hogs get up early to put their towel on the beach chairs, even if they are not there most the time - this should be regulated. All in all, we would go back - well done!

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Great resort

I stayed for 2 weeks and my only complaint is we were placed in a jr suite in behind near the tennis court There was no privacy Staff always back and forth You would think for 2 was we deserved a better placement

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Favourite Resort Ever!

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous room, friendly staff and excellent food! The activities were fun as well....be careful of the slippery marble by the pool and in the rooms. The size of the resort was perfect - not too big, not too small. Not a crazy wacky nightlife but that was fine with us!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Buildings 17-21 are outdated and need upgrading.

Above section need to be upgraded. Travelers need to be aware of which section of the resort is reserved for their tour group. With Air Transat, this section is reserved unless you pay to upgrade. The bathrooms, need some work! A lot of mold and rusted shower head, support racks coming loose from wall. Also sewer smell and musty smell. I was disappointed with what type of room we got for the price payed for Ocean view. After several days of complaining at the front desk we were moved to building [... read more] 11 which had been upgraded , cleaner showers but still sewer smell! If it were not for the staff and workers at the resort it would have been a complete bust!! Beach had a lot of seaweed, red or yellow flags most of the time. Long waiting list for a la carte meals unless you booked privilege or VIP or showed up for 6 pm. Otherwise eating at 8:30-9 pm

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Stay at the royalton

My husband and I are so glad we chose the Royalton for our vacation. The resort is absolutely beautiful and very modern. Our room was absolutely gorgeous with a loft going to our own private hot tub, overlooking the ocean. It was spotless all the time, housekeeping does an excellent job. There is a variety of restaurants to choose from and the food is awesome. Armadillo restaurant , the steak house and italian were our favourites. Was nice to have photographers taking pictures as we rarely get a [... read more]ny together and they turned out amazing. Service is excellent everywhere, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back to this resort and have already recommended it to friends who are now planning on going. Ladies don't bother bringing a blow dryer, they have big ones that dry your hair super fast.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Disappointing Resort

We asked for an ocean view room away from the children's activity area. We were given a room overlooking the kiddie pool at the far end of the resort, a long walk for seniors. The room smelled musty and there was mold in the bathroom. After 2 days of complaining at the desk we were moved to a newer section of the resort with a lovely view of the ocean. The grounds were well kept but the beach area was constantly being cleaned because of all the seaweed that was being washed up. The buffet meals  [... read more]were cold. The Japanese style restaurant, the Italian style restaurant, the crepe restaurant and Mike's were all great as was the lobby bar for specialty coffee and drinks. The staff were all friendly and courteous.

Had such an awesome time. Great staff, good food...rooms were beautiful. The only down fall is there are really a lot of kids and if your not into that...this is not the resort for you. Wish they had an adult section, then the trip would have been perfect.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: very nice place

Everything was good from the service to the food, good place to relax. The pool, beach, entrainment was all very good. Jesus the bar tender made the best margaritas to cool of from the sun. Enjoyed my stay.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

The Royalton Riveria Cancun was amazing. The hotel and rooms are very luxurious and beautiful. The staff was always pleasant. Very family oriented resort with lots for the kids to do. Highly recommend.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Big Beautiful Resort

We visited here in January and had a great experience. Everything was very clean and well taken care of, lots of staff around making sure things were always in perfect order. Entertainment staff very friendly. Great pools and dining experience. Had a 4th floor room and kids loved the jacuzzi on the rooftop. Next time would probably book a swimout room for kids to enjoy. No complaints from our family of 6. Well done!!!

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Fantastico!!!! Loved it.

The Barcelona has tons to offer, amazing beaches, plenty to do, the a la carts were great and the buffets were excellent. The only warning it's a long drive from airport but when you get there it's worth it

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great food ,booze and rooms..but boring

Had an amazing room, good food and excellent booze ...... But elevator music at the pools .... Boring entertainment and everywhere closes early other than disco ....... Beach and beach bar was very nice ...... However water was the the murkiest I've seen on the Caribbean due to the reef off shore ..... If u are there to sit by pool eat and sleep great place ..... Not a party place at all

Catalonia Yucatan: OH WHAT A WEEK !

it was our first trip to Mexico and it will definitely not be the last. The area was really beautiful and the resort was terrific value for the money. We were in a gated community that included other resorts, condos and private homes as well as a marina, small village and dolphins and sea lions. Our room was updated to a wonderful poolside view. The rooms were a little dated but spotless and to us that makes all the difference. The weather was good, one afternoon of rain. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Great resort great staff great food

Everything is great except for the flintstone style bedrock beds. The staff gave us some foam to soften it which helped. Don't forget the sunscreen. They charge an arm and a leg on the resort The rooms are starting to show their age.
