Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Awesome resort

Clean, well maintained. Excellent, friendly service. Delicious, with lots of choices from buffet. Disappointed in the a la cartes except La Gran Tortuga which was very delicious. Will definitely return and would recommend this resort to family.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Modern Resort

Hotel was new and clean, but lacked that Mexican feel. Rooms were clean and well appointed, but missing some small touches i.e. soap dishes in the shower, 2 luggage racks would have been handy as well, comfortable furniture for sitting on the balcony - furniture design was too focused on look and not on comfort. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Customer service was excellent - when you asked for something you got it. Great evening entertainment and nice relaxing atmosphere for adults looking to get away from it all. Not a family resort.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: o.k. resort for the money

The resort is massive in size. The food is great. The drinks are also good. The staff is very professional and hard-working. The beach is smelly and full of seaweed-big disappointment. There were limited areas that were air-conditioned. Not much to do at night-there needs to be more entertainment in the evenings-and it needs to be advertised in a better way.

Grand Sunset Princess: Best Experience EVER!!

It was my first trip south and i would go back in a heartbeat. Beautiful resort, extremely well maintained. Nice, big rooms, great buffets and a la carte. The chill out lounge was amazing. The ambiance was fantastic, the multiple pools gave you different areas to hang out, the disco was lots of fun and the staff were very polite and friendly. JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Great Resort

We really enjoyed the Grand Iberostar Paraiso. The food, location, staff and shows were all excellent. Victor in the Italian Restaurant was very understanding of my dietary needs and Michael was great at being interactive with everyone around the pool and at the lobby bar.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: very nice resort

Very large resort, if you like walking, it`s the place to go. Very very clean, the food excellent either at the buffet or a la carte, the lobby it`s the place too hang around after dinner, good music and confortable chairs. I prefer the pool over the beach (too much sea weed).

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Great, family friendly resort

A great resort. We stayed close to the beach, and thus everything was close-by. The food, service, and beach were all great. The rooms close to the beach need an update - they aren't great, but are fine. The resort has great amenities that are all very well executed (i.e. Cupcake cafe, crepe bar, smoothie bar). El Dorado Royale: Resort that has it all!

Amazing resort with all the amenities and more. The staff are friendly, hard working, and will accommodate any requests made. Great resort to relax or have fun. The location is excellent as it situated between Cancun and Playa, and it is also a quick ride from the airport.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Just what we were looking for

Stayed a Sensatori Azul in January for 11 nights. The resort is family friendly with something for everyone, never short of activities to do. The grounds are beautiful, clean and the jacuzzi suite was very nice. There are plenty of loungers around the pool and beach, no need for the dreaded towel game. The food is wonderful, with plenty of selections to choose from. The service is top notch. The staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Barcelo Maya Colonial: WAS AN OK RESORT

My wife and I we pleased with the Barceló. We don't really do a lot of travelling but found it to be clean and the beach was amazing . The food was just ok and the room was good and always cleaned . Air Transat was awesome

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Awesome resort!

Beautiful and very clean resort. Lots of activities to do on site, delicious food at buffets and a la carte restauraunts... our favorite being the Bamboo. Huge refreshing pools with lots of chairs to choose from. Only downfall are the weeds on the beaches... but doesn't seem to bother others since they are packed with sunkissers.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Great upgrades - resort is changing

Akumal Beach Resort - now Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness has undergone a tremendous change - most great, a few not so much. Rooms have undergone a needed refresh and my family particularly enjoyed the mini-bar (though limited) and the jacuzzi. WiFi in the rooms is an added bonus. Room service is available which we did not use once. 24 hour snack bar is great and the new restaurant offerings are nice, though we only went to the steak house (Brazillian). New sushi bar and additional bar is great. B [... read more]ar service at the beach is also new and excellent and helpful! Bali beds at the pool are ridiculous though and now there is only room for 20+ people around the pool - has changed the vibe. The additional palapas on the beach are nice, though now are claimed by 8 in the morning! New wellness centre is beautiful. The future will depend on how the new Secrets Resort opening next door will impact the use and traffic on the beach. Potential noise issues as well for those in Block 1. Block 4 is the quietest and where we were located which we loved. We miss the beach bar, which was demolished in the upgrade and sale of part of the property to Secrets. Best beach anywhere! We will go back for sure!

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Paradise!

We returned January 30th, 2015 from this beautiful adults only resort. We had a wonderful time! The service and the people who work at this resort are wonderful! The food was great and the grounds are lush and well maintained. We had a swim up room with a Jacuzzi. When we arrived, the beach was covered in seaweed and we were disappointed, but within a day the whole area was cleaned up and the beach was actually wonderful! The resort is pretty low key, no music playing on the beach, the main pool is small and very little activity there. The nightly entertainment is not great, when compared to large resorts, but we were not interested in that anyway. Anything you desired, you just had to ask and it was granted with a "my pleasure". Service on the beach was constant. 24 hour room service arrived within 20 minutes and was delicious, we ordered nachos and pizza in the late afternoon a couple of times, and had a wonderful breakfast as well. My friend and I also enjoyed a sky massage on the beach which was fabulous! We have been to three Sandals resorts and the service and amenities at this resort were just as good or better in our opinion.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: beach not the best

Very nice resort lots of repair to be done have to be caution walking on resort site.lots of construction man every day at lest 30 to 40 man.problems with sea weeds at beach.food very good nice rooms would go back

Grand Sunset Princess: Nice Resort

Clean resort, rooms were good, bed was a little hard, always had to ask for wash cloths. We had some trouble at first as we travelled with other couples and they had seperated our rooms and no help till we got a lovely young lady on the 2nd day at the main desk and she got us a room very close to our friends. Food was okay but not over the top, nice selection at the buffet and most waiters were pleasant, our breakfast and lunch waiter, Samuel at the Rivieria Snack, was quite pleasant. Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Outstanding!

This was a great resort. We travelled with 2 children. The staff was friendly and helpful and could not do enough. Our only complaint would be that the mattresses in the room were terrible. We made the best of it everything else made up for it.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort with Amazing Service

This resort has beautiful spacious clean rooms with excellent beds and amazing views from each balcony. The food is wonderful and the service excellent. The evening entertainment is just okay and the beach disappointing (too much coral and seaweed).

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Family Trip!

We traveled January 17-24 with extended family...a group of 14 in all. We had four rooms in all, three luxury junior suites, and because we have six in our own family, we upgraded to a family suite. The three regular rooms were all nice, but had a view of the mangrove...they were quiet though. The family section of rooms was not yet open when we were there, so we were put in a one bedroom presidential suite, which was great! It had two bathrooms, a living and dining area, and a very large separa [... read more]te bedroom. It overlooked the Diamond Club pools and had a pretty good view of the ocean as well. A definite upgrade! I don't know why the usual max occupancy for that room type is only 4, it's much bigger then the family suites...I would like to be able to book that room type in the future for our family of six instead of the the family suite. The hotel is beautiful! There are so many pools to choose from, some heated, others not, and a huge splash area for the kids! I think all of the pools with swim up bars are heated, and in the afternoon, the kids loved going to the one in the family section to get a Shirley Temple or virgin mango daiquiri. The pools never felt crowded, and there were always fresh towels. While we were there, anyone could swim in the Diamond Club pools. Since our room overlooked them, I noticed several people with regular Royalton wrist bands swimming there. We never used them, there was no need....too many other choices. I can see how it would bother those who paid a significant amount more to have an exclusive area though. The beach is beautiful! Wonderful sand. The water was crystal clear for four of the days, a little murky for two, and on the day we left it was pretty full of seaweed. They really do a good job of cleaning it up though. The kids went paddle boarding one day, it was easy to sign out the equipment...there were lots of other options as well. It was $3 for a wrist band that is good for the whole stay. All in all we were pretty happy, we're mostly pool people though. The restaurants were amazing!!! So many options and all delicious. The buffet was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner....they even have a little kids area with lower counters so they can serve themselves. So many made to order stations at each meal time and great desserts...ice ream too! We loved the Tex-Mex and Italian for lunch...awesome fish tacos and pizza We also tried the Beach Grill for lunch, it was the first day they were open, so it was a little slow, but delicious burgers! The Greek restaurant and the steakhouse were good, and the show at Zen was great..food was okay. We didn't try the authentic Mexican place or just the regular sushi at Zen. All in all, the restaurants were great! We were a large group, and although we had to sit at two tables, other then at the buffet, we never had to wait longer then five minutes for a table. We did go for dinner right at six though, opening time, and we did notice as we left each night, that they were getting pretty busy. There are cracks, missing pool tiles, and some construction going on. They are fixing it, and I must say, it never once took away from our experience. They set up little tents around the work areas, and are not too loud for the most part. I do think the people who were here in December had a rough go of it. I was pretty nervous about our trip in mid-Jan, but it really was great! Anyone headed there now should relax and get ready to have a good time. There will always be negative people out there, but it really is a nice place, and the the staff couldn't be nicer...except for the front desk, they have some work to do. We had a great time and are planning to come back next January, can't wait!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great family Vacation

We went from Jan 21-28th, with 2 kids age 5 &8. Had a great trip, enjoyed the pools and food. The shows at night were great enterainment other than the kids fell asleep before they were over due to all the activities in the day.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing Resort!

This resort is all about service. They go above and beyond from the moment you get there. Our room was nice but did not have much of a view. On day 5 they offered us a ocean front room for the remainder of our stay at no extra cost which was inceredible. We ate at all of the a la cartes and the food was really good. The alcohol is all top of the line stuff and most beer is served in the bottle. The butler service was a nice touch and the concierge is always available to assist with ANY questions [... read more]. The beach is amazing but we spent the majority of our time around the pool. Wi-Fi is strong around the entire hotel. Weather was great all week. Highlights: The golf course is amazing and included with your stay at the Grand. Only cost is club rental. It is also all-inclusive on the course which was great. The spa pool is amazing and there is also a great fitness centre and decongestant steam room which was really nice. A big thanks to all the staff including Fanni and Charley who I enjoyed talking with. The ENTERTAINMENT staff do a amazing job all day trying to keep everyone involved in the activities. If you are asked to fill out a review card make sure you give these guys the best score as possible as they deserve it.
