Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Nice resort

Hotel was nice. Under staffed . A bit dirty . Food was excellent at buffet but not worth waiting for restaurants to eat . My Kids loved the pool too . Very far from city and Tulum beach was covered with seewe.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Good resort

Hello Barcelo Maya Colonial, I found the resort was great. Good Food ,rooms, kids waterpark,great service for the money.Thoroughly enjoyed it. Following things needs to be considered by Management. Internet should be for all ,all the time for non premium guests as well. Internet for Non premium guests It wood be nice to introduce huts for shades on the beach. Alacart bookings for restaurants was difficult though we tried to book on the same day we arrived. When we asked why is it so. People [... read more] book on line before they arrive. This is the first time I have heard about this. We have been to 15 to 20 resorts never had an issue. We got bookings for which we did not desire. It needs to be reviewed by Management of the resorts. If this is improved it would be a wonderful resort and vacation. Beach had a lot of weeds but they cleaned everyday. That was because of the storm the previous week. All in all a great resort. Good FUN. Please provide internet at all times to ALL GUESTS as part of the package deal

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Loved the resort!

Everything about this resort was outstanding! The only complaint for the week would just be regarding the weather, other than that, the resort was amazing. Would absolutely return! I would advise anyone planning on staying to book their A la carte restaurants ahead of time by emailing the hotel. This ensures you will be able to try the restaurants available. I would recommend the Gourmet and Brazilian restaurants on the Akumal resort.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Barcelo Maya Colonial - Amazing resort

The hotel is beautiful and had a great stay. The food, the rooms, the pools and the water park for kids all outstanding all the amenities were great. The alacarte dinners and the main buffet were excellent. The employees were so friendly and super customer service. The check in manager Esteban Marcial was so helpful and provided excellent customer service. The beach had lots and lots of seaweeds. We could only go in the ocean 1 day only. The Sens Cancun: Nice resort!

The Oasis Palm resort it is a beautiful place to stay. Clean & nice rooms (it would be nicer if it has a fridge) but overall it is a comfy place. Beautiful swimming pool and clean beach. The only thing that bothers us is that we have to make lines every time we need a drink because of a shortage of bartenders... Everything else was ok.

From the welcoming Reception to the scrumptious buffet , this was a vacation destination that left us feeling pampered and relaxed. Every little thing was anticipated and catered for. The jungle setting came complete with the lazy iguana and curious coati walking across the paths. Exotic, or as the Mayan would say, Xotic! Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Amazing SAN MARINO Hotel

SAN Marino located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta is fantastic. It is right on the ocean, close to the Malecon, real Mexican old architecture, museums, & shopping. Definitely the flavour of old Mexico. The staff are exceptional, clean rooms, & good food. Very good value if you are on a budget. Loved it!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing resort

This resort was one of the best resorts i've stayed at. I found the room and the resort itself very clean. All the workers were very nice and friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Food was great, i found the portions small at some of the a la cartes but it still tasted amazing. I loved that their was a coffee and ice cream shop at the resort as well. I would definitely return to this resort.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Luxurious and peaceful

First, the layout of the resort is wonderful. They hired a professional to design and layout the entire resort. Everything is close by and easy to locate, beautiful gardens, walkways and lighting were perfectly designed. Hammocks were located in treed areas with lighted wicker balls high in the trees. Ser [... read more]vice was always prompt and they had plenty of staff to take care of all your needs. They have local and international liquor available, as well as Heiniken and XXX beer. The maids were friendly and provided great service. The Animation staff were very friendly and we got to know quite a few of them: Alex G, Alex S, Karla, Minvet, Samantha (wonderful with kids), and Mario. The food was excellent. The buffet had a huge variety of meat, fish, rice, pasta, vegetables, vegetarian and vegan dishes as well. The food was well prepared and spiced, always fresh and replaced regularly. The fresh fruit, desserts, and ice cream were delicious. The a la carte restaurants included: Brazilian, Japanese, French (requires long pants), and Mexican. All were excellent and gourmet quality. Both the presentation and the flavours were superb. Best feature ever, no reservations for a la carte! You show up and find out how long for a table. Usual wait for us was 0 to 15 minutes. There was also a Sushi Bar next to the pool, Lilian was a fantastic sushi chef. Finally, the 24 hour snack bar near the pool had mini buffet for breakfast and lunch and a menu to order from at other times. The food was very good and it allowed us to have a quick meal near the pool or ocean. The room includes a mini fridge with drinks and snacks which is restocked daily. The resort has chosen to have live music every evening instead of having "entertainment shows". Great choice. There was some music at the pool and in the restaurants, but not loud and not all the time. Again, great choice. If you like loud music all the time, partying not stop, and Animation staff blowing whistles all day, this is not the place for you. I would be remiss if I did not mention the wellness part of the resort. There are two yoga studios. The large one is on the beach, the small one is behind the resort. You can see and hear the ocean while you take your yoga lessons in the large studio. They also have meditation. There is a schedule with the classes they offer every day. Thoroughly enjoyed the two yoga classes we took. There is also a gym and spa area in the forest. Beautifully laid out and gardened, fully shaded. They have a steam room and sauna as well. There was also an in ground hot tub surrounded by the forest. There is a main pool, as well as four smaller pools located along the shoreline which face the ocean. If you want to take a relaxing dip, the smaller pools fit the bill nicely. Akumal translates to turtle. The ocean in Akumal has coral reefs which are great for snorkelling and you can easily find turtles while snorkelling. The beach has a lot of seaweed which is picked up constantly by the staff, every day. We swam in the ocean, but you will need to move a little to the left of the resort to find a nicer entry point. Other than the seaweed we absolutely loved this resort.

Riu Palace Peninsula: This a fantastic resort, highly recommended

The grounds are well kept and beautifully landscaped. The view from room 1631 is a sight to behold. We photographed ourselves each night before dinner on the balcony using the sunset, the ocean with the pirates boats, and downtime Cancun as the background. We also photographed sunrise in the morning using the same background. Our sincere thank you to Maria who cleaned our room and many thanks to Madai and Reyes who looked after us both at breakfast and lunch. These three staff members treated us [... read more] like family during our two-week stay. The entertainment staff was great led by Eric, Carlos, and Angel. Over the the two weeks we took over 4000 pictures including activities by the beach, pool, and the Latina theatre. The Mexican, Mayan, and Michael Jackson shows were fantastic. The food and drinks were great. However, one sour note is that all three of us got sick from the food so proper hygiene practices must be in place at all times to prevent this from happening.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful resort

I’ll try to be brief. Our overall stay 6;13-6;20/2018 was a wonderful experience. Just because a few issues we had, I will still leave a positive review. The one issue was: our room 32607 was in a great location, we had nice cool air conditioning the first night, it stopped cooling the 2nd day and for 3 days/night we had no a/c, it took until Saturday and 3 different reports until one rep. at Premier reception took action and the problem was fixed. No issues after that, should we ever go bac [... read more]k to any resort and the same problem would arise, I would be more aggressive right from the get-go and have them fix the problem. The other thing that really bothered me was the concierge, we were approached the first day and before our room was ready by a concierge, he said the resort wanted to give us a welcome presentation with a $70.00 gift certificate, he was so nice and polite, I accepted and made the appointment to be the 3th day during breakfast. On the invitation card was: time, 1hr for the duration of this welcome presentation. I realized soon this was not a welcome presentation but a timeshare presentation, I was very disappointed and wanted to leave, my wife convinced me to hear him out in order to be respectful, the presentation lasted 2 hrs, so finally just told him respectfully to rap it up, we’re not interested one bit in timeshare, we just came to have fun and not pressured to join in a long lasting commitment. He signed the release form and we were out the door. This will be a huge lesson for the future, I’ll tell them right from the beginning we’re not interested and to leave us in peace. If the resort wants to improve in bringing in tourist, this one thing they should do, completely get rid of all timeshare representatives and promotions. I talked to other people about this and every single one of them, absolutely hate to be approached by these timeshare reps. As far as food, the quality and the service, it was amazing. We were not able to visit all À la cart restaurants but the ones we had the privilege to eat and dine, were absolutely amazing. I would like to mention a few of them: Samuel at Mashua was so professional and polite, the food was the best. Antonio at La Tequila was another young individual who had pleasure in serving and making you feel welcome, the food also amazing. Ana at Cozumel Buffet was a very humble and sweet lady in serving. Overall, our stay was well worth it and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, I highly recommend Grand Bahía Principe Coba.

Villa Del Mar: Villa Del mar

This hotel was closed for renovations, wish I would have known that. The first room had no hot water and the phone didn’t work. Had to change rooms half way through. They did upgrade me for the inconvenience.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Neat Room and Restaurants, OK Food and Service

The room is very clean and the room staff change bed every day. Room service is excellent. There are many restaurants, space is bright and neat. Food is various but the quality is just okay. Sushi rolls-rice are not well cooked. Brazil cuisine- bbq meat is too dry. There are not too many options for non-alcohol drinks. Only orange and pineapple juice. Can make some fresh watermelon, or mango juice.

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing service

Everything's perfectttt--food, drinks, room, service and place. The only thing I would suggest is to have a later closing time on the swimming pools and they should something at night outdoors for the adults-- open swimminh pool/bars, music outdoor.

Grand Sirenis Matlali Hills: Resort is beautiful, but

The resort itself is very beautiful with its multiple pools. Fair bit of walking, or you can take shuttles. Bar staff, entertainment staff, and restaurant staff are mostly very nice. The bad part. Coffee is horrible. Food is the worst of all the resorts we've been to. The meats are either inedibly salty or dry or most likely both. Looks like all the bad reviews about food at this resort is true.

Grand Riviera Princess: Not so Grand resort

Grand Riviera Princess is showing signs of needing a facelift. -Pool tiles missing or broken - lounge chair broke on us because it was all rusty - clean up was not done on a daily basis example the same cockroach sat squished in the hall way for 2 days, we went for breakfast someone had spilled milk or cream along side of the wall, came back for breakfast the next day and it was still there. Same towel sat on a walkway light the whole week we were there. -staff was grumpy - cockroach in ou [... read more]r room - not enough lighting in hotel room (hallway especially) - Oriental restaurant really bad not oriental at all, Pad Thai was made with a BBQ sauce and was more like noodle soup. We got up and left not finishing our meals, we were warned not to eat at the sushi restaurant by another couple who had gotten sick from it. We heard a few other bad things about the other restaurants so we stuck to the buffets which were ok. - we are not big drinkers, but the drinks were definitely light on alcohol. Just overall if was not a pleasant/welcoming atmosphere. Would not recommend to anyone and would not return to this resort.

DEAGO TOLD ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT. I TOLD HIM YOU WANT ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT FOR SERVICE I AM IN UNDERWARE? DEAGO TOLD ME"COM [... read more]E DOWN I AM WAITING FOR YOU" I DRESSED UP AND WENT FRONT DESK, ASK FOR DEAGO HE WENT ON 30 MTS BREAK. THEN PUBLIC RELATION STAFF PAULINA CAME OUT TO FRONT DESK AND TALK TO ME. SHE SAID SHE WILL TALK TO HIM AND SENT TECHNITIAN TO FIX AIR CONDITION. TECHNITIAN CHANGED DEFACTIVE PART AND IT WAS O K. AT 8.00PM I REPORTED INCIDENT TO MANAGER RABECCA. SHE SAID I AM SORRY. AS IF SHE DO NOT CARE STRESS GIVEN TO ME BY DEAGO AND 3DAYS OF NO AIR CONDITION. AFTER CHECKING OUT I TALK TO FRONT DESK MANAGER, HE WAS NOT AWARE OF INCIDENT. IT SOUND AS IF EVERYONE IS COVERING OTHER, THEY DO NOT CARE FOR CUSTOMER. FOOD WAS NOT THE RIU QUALITY, SOMETIMES TODAY FOOD WAS SERVED NEXT DAY.EVERYDAY LAMB CURRY MEAT WAS RUBBERY.

Flamingo Vallarta: Beautiful hotel with bad experience

Everything was excellent until I was treated as delicuent we arrive at the hotel and the guy at the pool take us to front desk because I removed the bracelet because it was to tight on my little kids and I decided to remove them till hurt other members of my family when we were taken to from desk they said if we don’t pay $10US for each we have to leave the hotel they didn’t allow to enter the rooms and the security went to get my teenage kids like we steal something discussing action finall [... read more]y we pay the fee when I already pay the hotel and they put the bracelet again very tight on my daughter next day I care to front desk with my daughter with her hand wrist all tight she was crying and hurt I took pictures of it and front desk lady also said wow this is to tight she took pictures to and I explain that was the reason I removed bracelets first time and she provides other time other than that bearly can swim at the pool because lots of drunk people that I think that’s what the front desk need to each more carefully anyway housekeeper Alicia was awesome and the guy that help us with our luggage I think his name is Martin

Paradisus Cancun: The Grand old Lady

The hotel is pretty amazing. It is everything it is supposed to be. The staff were very attentive to the details of maintaining the property and making sure the guests were very well taken care of. It is a beautiful property facing the ocean on the back side. The weather while we were there was 2 days of severe rain and 2 days of light rain. On the days with the severe rain, the hotel showed its age, in that it needs a little TLC. Overall a great hotel, amazing staff, just needs some TLC to polish up the details. Because we were there in the rainy season, there was a great deal of seaweed on the beach which was removed every couple of days.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: A truly amazing resort!

What an absolute beautiful resort. Everywhere we went on the resort everyone was working hard and smiling from the gardeners to the servers to the bartenders. The concierge called at least 3 times to make sure everything was good. The food was absolutely amazing, so many choices and always hot and fresh. From the clean bathrooms to the refilling of the mini fridge to the butler lighting up our scent warmer every night in the room. I have absolutely no complaints except it poured rain for 5 out of the 7 days we were there......... loved the shuttle service! I would definitely go again!!
