Riu Merengue: Very good vacations in a nice resort
The resort is a large open resort right next to the beach. The different pools are accessible, clean and you have a choice between a busy and noisy one or a very quiet one a bit further. You have bars everywhere so you won't be thirsty. Kids club was good for the kids even though it could have been a bit more organized to be honest. Food is honestly very decent. The only problem is the reservation system for the "a la carte" restaurant that doesn't make any sense. Rooms were clean, but a bit t [... read more]
Wyndham Alltra Samana: Lovely Resort
We visited this resort the week before Christmas 2017 with a family of four. We would highly recommend this resort but ensure you book the select vacation--it was worth the extra money. We stayed in the Oceanview Villa "Select"- this has a queen size bed with 2 twin beds in the loft area. The Villas are the only rooms that have not been redone at this resort. The decorator is a little tired but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The beach is breath taking and loads of snorkel [... read more]
Excellence Punta Cana: Best resort I’ve ever stayed in
The resort is first class in every way The food was great and the service Excellente We upgraded to Club Class which we enjoyed very much and would recommend to those looking for that extra quiet luxury
Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great resort!
Well maintained, very clean hotel! We enjoyed most of our meals esp the seafoods. Honest and friendly staff. I lost my Iphone 7+ With my DL, credit card and some cash on our second day there and within 20 mins, a staff who found it (his name is William and he was the head of entertainment) returned everything. We would definitely go back again!
Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful grounds
Grounds lovely, not many staff spoke English. No elevators so we had to move to 1st floor. This was disappointing but first floor room in better condition. Drapes on 3rd floor room off hooks in places. Food was adequate.
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Not so 5 star
The hotel is really good but that's compared to its lower end 'Grand Bahia Principe'. For the price we paid and service we expected, there were definitely some hiccups that others noted (in reviews around internet) Room service is hit and miss, they some times won't replace all of your towels, we didn't have beach towels when we arrived, no fridge restocking half the time, reception don't follow up with promises, room service food is almost always dry. Beach don't look like the ones in pictures. [... read more]
Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Very good resort
Great pools, good staff. Waterpark is amazing! Food very average, the a la carts on the Memories side not very good and have long lineups. Have to pay to access the a la carts on the Royalton side. The beach on the Royalton side is fantastic, maybe the best I have been to
Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice resort but not 5*
Beach was absolutely amazing! Spent all of our time there. Pool is quite small with a lot of kids in it. Food and bars close early, food was quite good and so were drinks. Bars were understaffed. Room was large and clean but beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Check in was beyond ridiculous...have never seen anything like it before. Had to have our door mechanism replaced and lost the morning stuck in our room. Zero room service. Had a major issue with a staff member that harrassed th [... read more]
Gran Bahia Principe La Romana-Cruise: Beautiful resort
Very clean well kept grounds, Hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas.Beach was clean lots of chairs. Pool was clean you had to get there early if you wanted a cabana by the pool but there were lots of chairs.
Casa Marina Reef Resort: Great resort!
This was a very nice resort with well-kept grounds, clean and comfortable rooms and good food. Parts of the hotel are recently renovated and look very nice. We did not have an updated room but it was still comfortable. The resort is quite large but there are lots of amenities for example 2 beaches and several pools so it doesn't feel crowded. They did often run out of towels and clean dishes at the busiest times at the buffet but usually only a minor delay. A couple of times there was a wait to [... read more]
Weare Cadaques Bayahibe: Do yourself a favour and skip this one!
The trip started with the problems at the airport. Upon landing the stairs could not be attached to the plane which led to a delay and very crowded exit. Then we got switched from one transport bus to another, even though the first went to the same hotel. Our first room was not the upgraded garden view that I paid extra for and had a musty smell. The second room, which we didn't get until much later on the second day, was a bit better but very small. So much so that my husband banged his knee o [... read more]
The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Friendly, accommodating resort
Very pretty, serene, resort on a hill top with spectacular views of the bay. Room was spacious, no ambient noise at night and housekeeping was great. All in all this resort has it all from friendly reception staff, to a nice selection of food at breakfast, dinner and supper. Bar area inside and outside was very spacious and inviting.
Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort
We found everything was very beautiful at the resort. Staff were great as well as entertainment. Food was good as well. Only problem we had was air transit on our last day, no one knew where the bus was, we were told to wait at one spot the bus did not arrive until 10am, we did not leave customs until 1145am with the flight leaving at 1230.
Gran Bahia Principe La Romana-Cruise: Spectacular Christmas Eveh
Resort was fantastic very clean the grounds were beautiful .Staff were amazing friendly very accommodating. Buying the distinction package was the best.Food at buffet was excellent al la carted was the same food only fancy.
Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Fantastic Christmas
This resort was the perfect fit for our family of 7. We stay in the elegance. Beautiful grounds, clean, beautiful beach. Food was good as far as all inclusive goes. The entertainment team was fantastic. All super friendly and very out going. A great family expierence
Casa Marina Reef Resort: Wonderful resort. Second time there
This was our 2nd time there and we plan on going back again next year. The rooms are clean the resort is a nice size. The food was excellent. The workers are cheerful . Every morning they greet you with a smile. Pools and jacuzzi are very clean.
Paradisus Punta Cana: smells really bad
We had to change room for 3times because it smells really bad and one of the rooms has bed bug. Food is ok and hotel service people are ok. However, parasailing and hair styling people are liars. We do not recommend this restort.
Casa Marina Reef Resort: great resort
This hotel is currently under major renovation and we stayed in the older section which was still very good. The room we stayed in was large and clean and although a little tired, still comfortable. The renovated areas of the resort look very nice and modern. The buffet restaurant is new and had lots of great options, the food was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are several large pools and unique jacuzzi's in the coral and the two beaches were both great. The resort is loca [... read more]
Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Loved it!
After reading some reviews about this resort, we decided to book it and see it for ourselves. This resort was awesome. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. The beach was calm and clean. Pool looked clean, but we didn't use it. We have a pool at home so we were in the ocean everyday. Overall, this place was definitely worth trying.
