Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Fair for price

Really great food, the beach was rocky and hard to swim in. People/culture was delightful! The resort was an average all-inclusive. Never enough towels in the room. Overall 7/10 - probably wouldn’t go again.

Riu Negril: RIU Negril

This RIU resort is an excellent example of the RIU brand. It is over 20 years old, but looks like it is no more than 3 years old due to constant updates and maintenance. The management and all staff are positive and very polite, always willing to help and answer any questions. The grounds, beaches, pools and all buildings are kept clean and in great repair. Dreams Rose Hall: Average resort

We looked at a lot of reviews before we made our decision to stay at this resort but the very favourable reviews did not reflect reality. Rooms were very average and a bit dated, albeit clean. Walls were paper thin, so we could hear neighbors in other rooms- very noisy. Food was quite good. Most Hotel staff were lovely and worked hard to offer good service. Pictures of resort were incredibly well done and made it appear nicer than it was but overall it was a decent experience.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great 10 days at royal decameron Cornwall!

Just returned home Dec 1 2022 from royal decameron Cornwall Beach. Many original employees and met the new ones. Food great and good variety. Rooms maintained and cleaned as they were pre-covid. Several sanitize stations throughout and all food preparer wore masks. No issues with Beach towels. In bed early so cannot comment on night shows. Beach area very clean. Bars fully stocked. Manager and general manager very visible and ready to address any concerns or suggestions. My 8th time at [... read more] this resort and will continue to recommend it. It remains a 4 star hotel in my opinion, but give it 5 stars for this rating. My only negative comment is they now allow the decameron resort next door full access to the beach, bar, and food service. During busy times, this may be a problem for Beach spots and chairs. Coco La Palm: Great resort

The staff is amazing and the beach is fantastic. I will continue to stay at Coco Lapalm. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants a layer back vacation Also the service I received from both Katie Sauve and Tammy Beamish was top notch

Ocean Coral Spring: Very clean resort

This resort was very nice. We really were made to feel welcome. We had read great reviews about the Sakura restaurant so we were excited to make reservations. Sadly we were very disappointed. When we arrived our drink orders were taken. The chef came and told us about we were having but it was so loud in there you could hardly hear what she was saying. Ocean Coral Spring: Definitely not a 4+ resort

Let's start with Check-in it was a horrible experience. We went with a large group and everyone's rooms were all wrong it took us over 1 hour to check in. Food quality was Ok. I was very disappointed that none of the food had any allergens labeled. My daughter has celiac and there was nothing she could eat for breakfast thank goodness I had brought her bread with me at least she could have that with an egg. Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Not bad, but not amazing.

So to start, I did enjoy this getaway. Would I spend the money to do it again….no. First off, the staff were really pleasant. The entertainment staff were fun and engaging. The restaurants had pretty good food and the bed was decently comfortable. The resort itself is beautiful with its lush gardens and it’s pretty easy to get a place to sit and watch the ocean in the sun for the day. The entire resort could use some maintenance. We had a king room Rivera side and although it was decent, I wouldn’t call it luxury. Things like the magnifying mirror in the bathroom was broken, the closet doors were broken and wouldn’t stay shut, the balcony railing was rusted and moved dangerously when leaned on so we stayed away from it. The air conditioner worked and made the room lovely and cool but dripped constantly on the carpet below, causing the room to smell musty. There are lots of stairs on the resort to go anywhere, it didn’t bother us at all but could bother some. Beach Towels were hard to find in the mornings, we went searching often for them. Everywhere you go, someone is trying to upsell you. Whether it’s to get you to book the spa or buy pictures or book a table at an event which costs more, it got tiresome being approached constantly to ask you to spend more money. Breakfast Buffett was good and booked dinner restaurants were good.. but there are no snack options. You can’t just quickly grab anything. The pool has a pizza place that takes an hour to get a tiny pizza. I ordered 2 tacos one afternoon and waited 45 mins for them. There is no haste for anything and seems disorganized. We started to joke while finishing breakfast if we should order lunch right away so we could actually eat when we were hungry later. The bar frequently ran out of cups to serve people. The coffee urn was empty a few mornings which didn’t destroy my day or anything, just a little frustrating when sandals sells “luxury”. The speakeasy is a super cool vibe with fun drinks. We went to watch the entertainment … which didn’t show up. We enjoyed the piano sing along one day so checked the schedule and went a second time and guess what?…. They didn’t show up. So overall, the break from work was still nice and we enjoyed the beach but I wouldn’t do it again. It even kind of put me off the sandals brand as other people we spoke to told us they have been to nicer, much cheaper resorts.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Great Resort

Staff were very friendly, grounds and beach kept very clean. Steakhouse restaurant and Italian were very good. Seafood restaurant was disappointing. Though we paid for all inclusive, you couldn’t get wine by the glass and only by the bottle if you paid for it.

Very great experience! Food was great! Everyone was very friendly! Luxury side was definitely cleaner we noticed only downfalls were the mattresses were extremely old and even with the upgraded pkg, some drinks were not included. bud / budlight / corona / redbull, top shelf drinks

We absolutely loved our stay at Bahia. The staff was amazing and took care of us every step of the way. The food was great and the choices were endless with so many restaurants. The entertainment was amazing and we loved every minute of it! We will definitely be going back.

Fun Holiday Beach Resort: So So

Beside the hotel being right by the beach I think it more caters to the elderly, food had no flavor, music again caters to the elderly nothing hip altogether I would give this hotel 4 out of 10 I did enjoy the live entertainment at the other resorts and I like the fact the hotel was not to far from the downtown core

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Beautiful Resort

Royalton White Sands was beautiful, grounds were kept clean, people where very friendly and accommodating. Food was good Ocean was amazing, not very big it was very nice. You could walk quite a bit on the shore line. Water slides were fun only 2 open at a time not enough life guards. You will enjoy your stay. Very satisfied, will diffinetly return.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Pleasantly surprised!

This resort was way better than expected! The people working there were so nice and friendly to me and my girl friend. The drinks were amazing! Food was pretty good too. We loved the hut that served burgers & fries. We were mostly worried about the cleanliness of the rooms because of some of the reviews. But everyday our room was cleaned up nice with fresh towels. Great customer service, The Knife and Brazillian restaurant were top notch. Seeing as how Appleton Rum is distilled in Jamaica I disagree with the upcharge per drink as it's not top shelf. Found this to be disappointing as it was unexpected.

Riu Negril: Rui Negril Review

Hello , Me and my wife loved this resort as a whole , staff was great to talk and joke with at the bars and restaurants. (Teraka , Olena, Gareth , Mario) They were the stars of our vacation at the bar. truly great. The food was good no matter the buffet , Al a carte , and especially the jerk hut they had daily. Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Disappointing Decameron

This was our fourth visit to Royal Decameron, Montego Beach. We did not get the two bedded room we requested in the main building on a higher floor but a double bedded room in the Sunset Bldg on ground floor. The room was damp with the door facing the ocean which did not open/close properly. We were told it was due to the humidity. Also two stairs to get into the bathroom with a fixed glass shower door which pushed water onto the floor. Closet also warped from humidity. We waited until  [... read more]4:00 pm the following day to move to the main building. A king bedded room. Toilet did not flush properly and lights in bathroom needed to be replaced. We reported this on Nov.11 and it was fixed on Nov.15. Elevator in main building is no longer there and there are flour floors? Front Desk advised it is "good exercise". I updated AC rep - never received a reply after two messages and phone calls. She advised there is no rep on hotel site and AC does not have access. But Air Transat does? Appreciating that COVID has presented challenges, however no quality control on maintaining the rooms. Tables in restaurant often not set or missing cutlery/glasses - restaurant was not busy during our stay. Dirty plates left outside doors for two days. We always enjoyed Decameron and never complained before, hence our return, but not this time. I visited the newer sister hotel next door which seemed better organized and staffed. Grounds and pool area were their usual good standard as before - no complaints. Management needs to step up. I will also be contacting AC and Decameron.

Just returned after our 10 day vacation. The resort is massive but beautiful. 1-check in is very slow,this could be improved.tired after long trip then having to wait an hr fir checkin. 2-if you have a mobility issue this might be a problem. Lots of walking.they do have a shuttle service but not always there when u need it. 3-benches. Why are there not more benches u dear the covered walkway. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Never going back to Bahia Principe Grand

If you're not a VIP your treated like a commoner. We had a watch stolen from our room and they acted like it was no big deal. Have emailed them twice regarding the case and still no responce. The food was horrible at the buffet, went to one a la cart took over two hours to receive our food. The only good thing was the beach and pool .

the first room they put us in was being renovated with dirty mattress (I have pics to prove it), the front desk never answered room service calls but they did call the last day before check put to seen if i needed anything. the carpets looks like they have never been cleaned. oh and to top ot off the air canada rep was so rude and not helpful at all.
