Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Lovely resort

This hotel is great, such friendly and efficient staff who willingly fulfilled all our needs. Grounds were well kept, tho relatively small, were tidied regularly. Food in buffet a bit disappointing but specially restaurants served very tasty meals and were a excellent experience . Very nice big rooms but I was a bit frustrated with the patchy in Building 2.Thankyou for a most enjoyable stay

Sensira Resort and Spa: Family Focused Resort

The food was good and I enjoyed the activities. I participated in Pilates with Zania most mornings. She also teaches Yoga. She is experienced and adapts work out to needs of the participants. I also loved the water aerobics and dance classes by the pool. Sometimes, I was the only one wanting to do the dance class, but Elisa would still enthusiastically run it. The beach front isn't great, so it is a good thing that there are multiple pools, including an adults only pool. I didn't go into the [... read more] ocean at all (dirty/unsafe) and only did one short walk on the beach. There are nightly shows that run just under an hour. The sound quality wasn't great, so the shows that focused on dancing, magic or acrobatics were better than the ones that were centered on singing. Although Sensira Resort and Spa is a fairly nice place, I would only recommend it to people who are travelling with children, ideally between the ages of 4 and 10. It's not ideal for a couple who wants to avoid the noise/chaos of young kids everywhere. I would only go back if I ever am blessed with grandkids. My understanding is that kids under 4 can't participate in many of the activities, so some families with 3 yr olds were disappointed. Also, the Resort sprays something into the air that smells like dryer sheets. We weren't sure if that was to keep bugs away??? One other thing worth noting is that the road going to the Resort is very much in need of repair. I have never been on a road before with such large/deep pot holes.

Melia Cozumel: Quaint Little Resort with Outstanding Staff

This is a lovely hotel with on a gorgeous stretch of beach and a very short drive from the Cozumel airport. The staff are incredibly courteous and professional. The property is small, yet has lots of amenities and fun activities to offer! We played mini-putt, target shooting with paint guns and participated in the water aerobics. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The food was good and the restaurant service was tops! A special thank you to Jorge, Adrian and Veronica who were always at the ready with a smile and meal service that went above and beyond. Circe was extremely helpful with reservations for bali beds and beach loungers too - many thanks :) and finally Alfonso our butler welcomed us and made sure we had everything we could want during our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to return!

Riu Palace Kukulkan: Beautiful resort

The hotel Itself is in great condition. I have never been to a cleaner resort. The staff was awesome; friendly and helpful. The food was very good. Beautiful beach. The complex could do with a few more elevators is my only negative. There are only two banks of elevators. They are fast but quite a walk from where our room was. Also bathtub in the middle of the room we found a bit useless and more of an obstacle.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Good resort

the new rooms were amazing. We have been to the resort multiple times and in our experience the buffet was far better in the past, as far as choices and mostly the temperature of the food. The food was ALWAYS COLD!!! The heating system they have implemented is NOT working! We were thinking of taking our adult children and spouses in late 2026, but this may be a deal breaker!

Grand Oasis Palm: Clean, comfortable resort

Great staff, good service, food at restaurants not hot enough, but ok, lots of entertainment, beach has powder sand, waters very shallow, perfect for children and adults too. Buffet food ok, but not very hot either. Overall, it’s a good place to get away from cold Canada!

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Okay resort

Perfect location. We enjoyed our stay. The weather was great and the park entrance was so close. Food is subpar. Do not go there for the food. Old building we stayed in, needs to be remodelled. Also, the Royal level and club level much nicer. Be prepared for sales. Service was excellent.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Great well rounded resort!

Had a wonderful time with my friends. Rooms were spacious and comfy. Food was tasty and lots of variety. Only cons would be the difficulty with dinner reservations and the amount of seaweed in the ocean. But the beach was powdery soft! Staff were also attentive and friendly!

Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: Blue diamond didn’t disappoint

Just returned from a week at this resort. It is a boutique hotel so do your research if it’s for you. Not a party place. Nice entertainment/music while dining only. If you have mobility issues this would be challenging . Here’s the pros and cons Pros - food is outstanding, only two restaurants but there’s a new menu every evening in one and they add daily specials to the other so loads of choices. Also have a snack bar for casual bite by the water. Two beautiful pools with lots of comfy chairs [... read more] and choices . Very large clean comfortable rooms, quick golf cart service if you don’t want to walk to the beach. Top shelf alcohol and great service at bar and restaurant. Staff are exceptional . Lush tropical property to walk through, resort never felt busy except when a wedding came in, Cons - it needs some maintenance and repair, tiles broken, light fixtures need replacing , outlets not working, boards need replacing, These are minor things and no safety issues so don’t let this hold you back from going. It’s not a 5 star for these reasons but it’s definitely 4.5

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Disappointing resort

My experience here was not great. It starts at check-in when another couple experienced an issue with the dates confirmed. They were to check-in the 17th of December, as per the email confimation they had but the hotel had them for the 18th. Surely a clerical error easily rectifiable, but no, the manager was rude and not accommodating in the least. My turn, check-in and there's a tax to be paid. I asked what it was, curious, and the answer I was given, "ma'am its a tax you habe to pay!" as  [... read more]though we had argued it unpleasantly. Get up to our room, ONE bed. No, I wven called the night before to guarantee 2 beds. I did NOT wish to sleep in the same bed as my 15 yr old son (that I only adopted a year ago) and when I asked for a different room and explained why, I was told there was never a guarantee. The room is sold as a double and costs more. No refund, no help. Just a beligerant employee. Room itself smelled like mildew and yes, there was mold in the bathroom. Then off the AC and open both the patio door and the room door for 10m. Make sure everything is stored or it will go flying. The food. OMG and I've been to Cuba in a 3*. The food was not good. You do get one.free a la carte dinner in one of their restaurants. I suggest the steakhouse but don't get your hopes up. Its good but it's not steakhouse good. Lastly, I found 4 syringes on the beach. On to some positive notes. The beach is nice. People go down at sunrise to "reserve" chairs. Get up early. The water is warm, clean, and not so salty it makes you itchy after a swim. We even slept outside one night when the sky was clear The staff that isn't at the front desk is super nice. My chambermaid was amazing. I have zero complaints there I would go back to Cancun. But I would definitely not stay here. For a similar rate, I'd go to a different resort. The RIU next door. I'm not much of a critic. I'm very laid back and almost never leave a negative review but if I can save a nice family from having a bad experience, it's worth it. Read the other not so great reviews before you book.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya: Margaritaville never disappoints!

Our second time going to a Margaritaville and they always impress. Every detail is taken care of, and the theming is top notch. Great food, incredible staff, and the place is spotless and smells fantastic! Can't wait to go back!! Other than the beach being destroyed by a hurricane the place is perfect.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Best holiday ever

We had a swim out room. Everything about this resort exceeded our expectations. Food, service, rooms, amenities. Would 100% recommend. View was and location are excellent. Only down side is as the beach right out front could be a little rocky.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing place

This was my bday trip. Moving forward I will only book with trip central! No complaints at all. The food was the only thing questionable but you can buy local restaurants and they are amazing. Overall best bday ever

Riu Palace Baja California: Lovely Resort

The food was excellent, the resort was always clean. The pools are large, and the resort is right on the beach. The rooms are very modern. The coffee bar in the morning was very handy! There was no issues getting into the Restaurants in the evening. - Great Selection

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: I’ll definitely be back

We have travelled all over Mexico, and this was definitely one of our top hotels! Grand Oasis Riviera: Not For Young Couples

The resort staff, cleanliness and the beach were phenomenal. The resort however was not as described. The Sports Bar is not a bar and serves zero alcohol, the bars close at 6pm, except the lobby and theater bar which sometimes closed at 11pm, or 2pm. Their is only 1 pool bar and they dont play music or have any sort of entertainment there. Perfect resort to sit and read a book, not a good resort if you want to have a drink and dance the night away. The snack bar closed at 6pm. The buffet had a 1 [... read more]+ wait some nights. The resort was beautiful but it is definitely more for people above 55+ and who do not like to drink or party. My travel agent was phenomenal and very helpful but the resort is not as advertised.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very nice resort

The resort was very nice. Nice rooms, good food. I wished they changed up the buffet a little more each day but the food was delicious regardless. Pools were nice, We stayed in the adults only portion of the hotel. Beach was nice, a couple days the seaweed had blown in but the grounds keepers were making quick work of getting rid of it. Resort is off the main roads so you need to take a taxi to go to most places. The bellboys will help you with that. Overall a great place to stay. I wish my travel agent gave more details on arrival as there are lots of people wanting to take you to the resort but they are all charging and I had pre paid for airport transfers. It took a little while to find out who I needed to ride with.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Top quality resort, well worth the price!

This is the nicest all inclusive resort we have been to, especially considering the price point. The food quality was top notch, and the service very friendly. The pool was very nice & clean. The water was a touch cold but more than tolerable. Lots of pool chairs & towels. The rooms are large & very nice with all amenities. The resort grounds are not too large and very well taken care of. Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya

we had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Zilara. the room was clean and comfortable beds. We had an ocean view which overlooked the pool and the sea from our balcony. The beach was excellent and we took a walk with Fermin to a Cenote only 15 minutes away. we had really good breakfasts at El Comedor.
