Starfish Varadero: not bad but not great

The beach was beautiful ! Room was nice,food was OK, staff was pleasant. Drinks were not great and too many cats around the dinning and bar area. Would go back for the same price as we got a great deal. Would not recommend for first time guest

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Disappointing!

Room not ready on arrival, first room they sent us to had guests staying there already, next 2 were musty smelling- no balcony, rooms not as booked, wanted us to pay extra to upgrade to a villa, ended up in 'barracks' (musty smelling but on main floor so had small patio - couldn't even see ocean from room. Food horrible - all food same temperature -room temperature! Staff pleasant and helpful.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Resort is what you would expect from a 3 star.

We like CA for many reasons. It has an amazing beach right in front of the resort. There are loads of restaurants and bars to choose from. Leaving the resort to travel in the area is totally safe. The market next door is awesome. Those are all great reasons to go. Here are a few things you should know so as not to be disappointed. There are plenty of pools but not all are clean/open all the time. There is a security issue regarding money/belongings theft. We have had a significant amount of mone [... read more]y stolen by maids, with proof the resort would do nothing to help us. We met a couple that had things stolen from their safe in their room too. I say you have to use your own judgement and try to carry all valuables on you at all times. There are many great people that work there but the front of house staff are usually terrible. Customer service is not a strong point.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Absolutely wonderful

Thouroughly enjoyed out stay here - everyone was super nice. Would definitely return here again and have re commended it to a number of people. A lot of things to do and everyone very nice and accommodating.

Starfish Varadero: good resort

the people was 5 star,food was great molst of grounds were good but the ponds by back entrance could have been cleaner and better internet to get email lol,but would go back maybe in few years,got go other places first not unless super deal lol

Great resort with a fantastic beach!! The price was exceptional so our expectations were low...but it was really a great vacation. The staff was warm and friendly, and the setting was wonderful! Will be going back for sure!

Carisol los Corales: Awesome trip

nice rooms, beach was rocky but this was not long after hurricane sandy. pools were perfect as was the alcohol! food was good for Cuba but people if you're expecting food like here do us a favor and stay home! then you dont have to complain and we dont have to hear it while on vacation.

Starfish Varadero: Good for the Price

Our family had a great time, we stayed at the Bungalow and it was very nice..very spacious...our maid was always there on time to clean as well. It does need a little updating....but we were there for the beach which again was very clean...lots of chairs around as well, easy to get around as its not too much walking, compared to Memories Varadero...we would go back ! Lovely Staff as well!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Wonderful Experience

Club Amigo Guardalavaca is a beautiful resort! We had a wonderful time - The grounds are being taken care of at all times of the day. The staff was very accommodating making sure we had what we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The entertainment at night was superb!! The food was pretty good. The rooms were very clean and would love to know their secret on how they get the sheets and towels so sparklingly white!! Would we go back - most definitely!! Our flights were very good and the staff on the planes were very efficient And I must add that the girl that we booked our trip through - sure knows her stuff!! Way to go Brie!!! Club Amigo Mayanabo: Great place

People here are amazing, they feel like family. Seems that most clients of the hotel are also of the same mindset. Not too big of a resort. Everything is centralized for easy access. This was my third trip to Club Amigo Mayanabo and I will for sure go back.

Carisol los Corales: Good value for the money

Loved how all rooms were centred around the pool. Employees were great. Always a smile when they greet you.The use of the two resorts was nice. About the food.. It is Cuba but we could also find something to eat and the pizza. And spaghetti was good.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great Resort for the cost!!!

The dining was good with lots of variety and many multi-cultural restaurants to choose from, very nice pool with swim-up bar, nice beach with beautiful sunsets The grounds are well groomed. Our room had a great view of the ocean. All staff were very friendly and all services were excellent. We will go back again!!!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: best bang for the buck

the whole resort is a little outdated. the room we stayed at was called "THE RUSSIAN BARRACKS" and it wasnt the nicest room. the food at times, wasn't bad but could have been better. i would stay there again if i could get a price of around $500 to $600, but not pay a penny more.....

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Fantastic resort!!!

This is our second time at this resort and we would go back again!! The people were as usual wonderful, the food was very good with out choice of three buffets and a snack bar to satisfy everyone. The coffee and piano bar also offerered a chocolate fountain that was a treat to everyone of all ages! The beach was breathtaking and the entertainment amazing. We would go back in a heartbeat!!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Beautiful Guardalavaca

We've been to this area and this complex many times. It fairly large in that it's comprises three sections, thus; plenty of restaurants, pools, and entertainment. We love Cuba for the people and being able to meet/visit in their homes is all part of traveling to this hotel. The staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating in all aspects in order to have you enjoy your vacation there. Carisol los Corales: amazing people at an amazing resort

Beautiful beach and great snorkeling. Resort and resorts around had been hit by hurricanes and yet ,since nobody in the world helps Cuba when disaster strikes, people did the best to improvise. We've been there in January and had the best sunny and warm days.

Starfish Varadero: Very clean resort

Resort was well taking care of, lots of repair work had been taking place! Very tidy rooms and great house keeping services! Nice place to stay, wonderful beach!!! Family friendly, great entertainment
