Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Loved this resort

The hotel was beautiful. House keeping did a great job. Staff very friendly. Large resort, I didn't even see half of it. The pools were large with lots of room. Always found chairs easily. The a la carte restaurants were amazing. We went for a wedding and it was beautiful. Had lots of fun dancing on the sand.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing and Beautiful Resort

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and incredible organization. The staff are competent and friendly. The grounds are immaculate. This resort is wonderful for the elderly (wheelchair access) as well as couples with young children. Beautiful mini water slide play structures. The food was delicious and abundant with loads of variety! :)

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Beautiful Resort

Very well kept resort. Loved the open air lobbies. Shows were ok. Staff was very friendly. Fabian and rest of POP (people of palladium) did a wonderful job during pool side activities. A la carte restaurants were good. Our family of 8 had mixed reviews on Portofino (italian) but Rodizio(brazilian) and Ribs and More were excellent. Beach bbq was also very good. After the seas calmed and no more weeds were accumulating the beach was great. The rooms were really nice. Although the bedding wasnt the most comfortable. It would of beem nice to have 2 queen size beds instead of 2 double beds. Overall a great experience and we would definitely go back to this resort.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Decent resort, great price

food was good... the staff were very friendly except the bartenders at the swing bar (although they are very busy) the beach wasn't anything special, but if you turn left and go down the beach there is an amazing lagoon with excellent swimming... this is the 4th resort we've stayed at in the area and did not compare to the other four (h10 ocean coral, grand riviera princess and adventura spa palace) but we got a fanatic price, so you get what you pay for! enjoyed my week but probably won't go ba [... read more]ck !

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Excellent service!

The grounds were very nice maintained. The food was good. The entertainment team awesome! The room was cleaned thoroughly. The beach was nice and the people serving at the bars and restaurants very polite and helpful .

Riu Lupita: Nice facility. Great people!

The resort was nice although may need some updating. The people working at the resort were all amazing. We had some health issues with our son and everyone was amazing in supporting us. They all went well above what was expected to help out wherever possible. The dive instructors were friendly ad lots of fun. The management staff was approachable and helped us immensely. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful modern resort!

The grounds were beautifully maintained with pools intertwined throughout. Restaurants were uniquely decorated and inviting. Staff were extremely friendly and upbeat catering to our every need:) Our favorite spot to eat was the Poolside Lounge for fish tacos at lunch, and Pina Coladas at this resort were excellante!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: great destination

Great resort! Amazing place for families or couples. Good food and many many options on where you want to spend your days! Loved my vacation there and definitely a place to come back for me! Don't hesitate to go there!

Grand Palladium Colonial: Great Family Resort

Clean facilities, friendly staff, great selection of restaurants, good food, lots of kids activities, eco- friendly. We were a large group and all had a wonderful experience. We are all talking about going back.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful resort

This resort was beautiful. The food was abundant with ample choices. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pools were beautiful. However, buyer beware. When my husband and I went the resort had been overbooked and we were not placed in the Luxury Sian Ka'an as booked. To make up for this, the staff went out of their way to make it up (gave us VIP status, a private butler, access to all four areas of the resort, unlimited a la cartes at our preferred time, reserved seating at the front for the N [... read more]ew Year's Eve gala, $75 per person credit for excursions and $200 per person reimbursement).

El Dorado Royale: absolutely the very best!!!!!

Fabulous!!! Food was fantastic, pools clean and abundant, rooms clean, staff wonderfull. Best resort is Mexico!!!!! Have been twice and would go back anytime for a total relaxing vacation. Beach was fun, feed the fish!!!

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful resort..tooo many unruly children..

I stayed 2wks over Xmas Newyears.1st week was in a terrible room mould shower fell out..jacuzzi not work then flood..kids diving off private balcony very dangerous but no one responded..kids unsupervised..and not to be in this area.more enforcement !..desk congerie staff Sunset side not helpful for room problems..feel 1 week of my vac was ruined and tried not to let it bother me..after 1 week i badically demanded action anf they made me wait 4 hours..with no room shower plus they had my stuff wh [... read more]ile they ' tried to get a bellboy to bring new room cards as they had the old..I missed dinner and was totally stressed out. also no robe slippers towels no internet..no dvd cd or iron as brochure states..food was A1 but very very difficult to evenake dinner resrrvations as desk girl was alwsys promoting side trips..i actually tipped a competitor Bd travel..to make reservations for me when desk was not baclogg..i loved the grounds pools bars beach but service definately needs improvement ..they did treat me bett er on Riveria side..thank god..flew Sunwing back to Breslau..was delayed more than 12 hours with no explanation or detsils..just stay out of airpirt bcud was too congested. they gave voucher for $20. but couldnt even use it as only 1 restaurant and it was filled..the stewardess sd it was bcus they had no pilots and had to wait for some to be off therir max time from Jamaica. terrible .

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Resort

Everything was great, they still working on some stuff as the hotel is brand new, but their staff is so excellent and everything else is so very amazing! The restaurants had a great selection of food.!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Will not disappoint

Food staff beach grounds location snorkeling amenities variety lazy river spa etc all is super and a real treat. If you do use the computers for personal use is the main building double check to make sure you are securely clicked out. It took IT 3 tries to wipe my email with pw out of the system. Likely good now but make sure.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: A Good Experience

Overall we thought the hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and were eager to please. It was our first visit to Mexico and we came away with a positive impression. The resort seemed very organized. There was some sidewalk construction near our room and it was a bit noisy during the day, however it was not that bad. If you went to the buffet every day it would be a bit monotinous, however we used the à la carte restaurants and found them to be very good. The rooms were a bit damp and there was no natural ventilation unless you left the sliding patio door open.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Great resort

Very nice clean resort with all new rooms. All the rooms the are a good size but the fact the bathroom doors are smoked glass not sure how good that is for families. The hot tubs on the balcony is nice but takes up most the room on the balcony..The resort had a turndown service in the room at night which was nice cause they would bring clean towels. beach towels in the room was nice. Restaurants (we didnt go to Brazalian) but all the others had very good food and choices. Buffet was always good. [... read more] The pool only had big beds and no loungers. The beach was great snorkelling was really good. Not sure if the resort can hold a sold out resort. The last few days of our holiday more rooms opened and it seemed very crowded. Not enough washrooms. Overall we had a great time would be worried to go back again cause the resort might feel too crowded.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Nice beach acceptable service

Overall our time away was really nice. The beach was beautiful and well maintained. The pools were kid friendly and for the most part there was plenty of seating. Our room was acceptable and the cleaning staff were excellent for the first few days although they did not clean properly the last half of the week and our room stunk. We were told that even though our daughter had gotten sick on the blanket we could not get a new one. The fridge in our room did not keep drinks cold and no one came to  [... read more]look at it in spite of several visits to the front desk. Cleaning staff did not follow our requests for cleaning times and interrupted our daughter's nap time to bring towels. Check in and check out were nightmares and we almost missed the bus back to the airport because of the slow service. The food was decent but we relied heavily on a good breakfast as our family did not like much of the food served otherwise. The service was usually decent although only a few of the servers seemed concerned with speedy service. In spite of our complaints we would consider going back.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Fantastic Resort

We stayed at the Grand Siranis for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year, 2015. We are a family with 2 children aged 14 and 20.While we have travelled fairly extensively over past years, this was our first visit to Mexico and first time staying at an all inclusive resort. The resort is beautiful, with well maintained and lush landscaping. There is also a team who ensure the beach area is maintained. It is a large resort, but easy to make your way around, for those who may have difficulties walking [... read more] there are multiple golf type vehicles that will transport you quickly and efficiently around the resort. I would also like to add the Christmas decorations were wonderful throughout the Grand Siranis. We were a little disappointed with the view from our Ocean view room which faced into trees, however, I would have to add Gille (customer service manager) did follow up and we spent a lovely Christmas Eve as VIP's (thanks Gille, that gesture meant a lot). The rooms were great, and the housekeeping staff ensured all needs and requests were met. We stayed in Makai, which is close to the pool with all the activities. There are concierge services in each of the buildings, but you have to be prepared to follow up on your requests, you quickly learn that Mayan time frame is not quite the same as North American time frames. We ate at 6 of the alacarte restaurants on a scale of 1 to 10 for food, ambiance and service (10 being excellent) Japanese 10/10 (Giovani was awesome), Mediteranian (8/10), Steak house (8/10), Mexican (7/10), Brazilian (7/10), Bayou/Cajun (4/10 - reason for such a low score....noisy, chairs scraping across the tile everytime someone moved, too many tables per server). The buffets offers a wide selection of food, with many theme nights. The service was really good, expecially Mario who after one meal-had our drinks on the table as we sat down. My fav drink was the Miami Vice (ask for double rum). We did not spend a lot of time at the pool preferring the beach-but I would be remiss if I did not give a shout out to Victoriano who provides the beach towels. Victoriano thank you for every day for not only looking after our towel needs but taking the time to teach us a new Mayan word. You will find whether at the pool or beach there are people reserving loungers by 7am. Activites: during the day there is lots going on at the pool and beach. The kids spent most of their time playing beach volley ball, water polo, snorkelling,dancing etc. Make sure you invest in watershoes. At night there are 2 large lounges, with bands, singers etc, the ampitheatre which has different shows on everynight (remember this is not broadway) they do a good job and one disco. This would be one area I would suggest is lacking. It would have been nice to have a dance club/pub for those of us older than 25 years.The New Years Eve party was one of the best we have ever attended, very well done. We did take advantage of the spa-excellent, and our kids swam with the dolphins-excellent. The staff across the resort will go out of their way, we took US $200 in one dollar bills and tipped for everything (we were treated like royalty). It is important to remember Mexico is not a first world country and a couple of dollars is a small fortune for them. The front desk/reception area staff were not a friendly as other staff throughout the resort. We took the Collectivo (small buses that go up and highway outside the resort) to Playa del Carmen, costs 35 peso's per person. When you get off the bus in Playa, keep walking to 5th Street for the best prices and barter, barter, barter. Some of the shop employees, owner will pretend they work at Grand Siranis and say they looked after you at the resort....they see the wrist band and know which one you are staying at. Our other excursions was to Xplor and Jungle Maya, we had a great time at both. Jungle Maya is much more rustic than Xplor. We would go back to the Grand Siranis, we met so many fantastic people and had an amazing family vacation.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Great Location

Amazing beach and grounds. Able to snorkel right out front of hotel. Recent renovations almost complete. Very clean. Staff very good, especially the entertainment group, (Mirna, Kira, Alejandros and Leah). Public washrooms are in short supply. Room washrooms provide little privacy. Alacarte food very good. Really good 24 hour snack bar.
