Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Excellent Resort

This resort was most excellent of all resorts we have stayed at in Jamaica. The resort staff from the front desk to the gardners provide above average service to ensure your stay is memorable and your vacation is fantastic. The only areas of concern I thought needed improvement are the following. 1. The beach lounge chairs and tables should be cleaned regularly. A pressure washer could help with this. 2. The servers at the beach should be more frequant and stop to ask guests if they need any [... read more]thing. 3. Bartenders should be more friendly, and make their drinks more consistant. In the 2 weeks I was there i did not get one drink that tasted the same even if I ordered the same drink at the same bar by a different bartender. On a scale from one to ten with ten being the best, I rate the following services and experience. 1. Front desk staff . 10 2. Resort cleanliness . 10 3. House cleaning . 10 4. Replenishment of my fridge .9 we lacked coffee on a few occasions 5. Entertainment staff . 10 6 service by waiters at the beach, in the lounges. 6 6. Buffet servers . 8. We found that there was competition from staff to get guests to sit at their designated area. Maybe the resort should consider reviewing how tips are shared to avoid guests miscomfort. 7. Buffet staff who cook. 10 8. Grounds staff and gardners. 10 9. Beach locals and vendors 10 10. Room service 7. Needs improvement here. Had one no show, and had to plead with staff to get a pot of coffee. 11. Beach towels staff . 10 12. Bell hop . 10 13. Security 10 14. Recreational staff and service . 10 15. A la carte. 8. Room for improvement here but otherwise it works. I did not like waiting in line to reserve a sitting and they let everyone in all at once which does not provide the option for staff to provide the best a la carte dinning experience. A 30 minute seating interval with reservation option using the riu app should be considered I would say all staff are professional and do go out of their way to provide you services and make your stay the best. For us it was and will definantly return to this resort. For me my highlight was the beach vendors, our room cleanliness "Nicole" and bar/icebox guy "Richard" Buffet servers, "Diana, Deamen, Denise, and of course "Natalie". Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Very nice resort!!

We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The food was excellent, the room was comfortable. I would rate this resort 4 out of 5. The room services were lacking in that replacement of used products were not replaced and house keeping didn't show up every time.

Dreams Rose Hall: Amazing Time. Simply Awesome Resort

Great Family Hotel. Service is good, Food is Good, Top Shelf alcohol ( I drank Hennesey and Gray Goose all week) Place is beautiful. Staff is really nice. Beach is really nice , Pools are fantastic. Don't overthink it. Just GO!

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Ok

The resort was “ok”. Buffet repeated itself and there are only 2 a la carte restaurants that do not change their menu. Bottled water is extremely hard to come by … the room fridge was sometimes stocked however only 2 cokes, 2 beer and maybe 2 bottles of water. Bathroom towels were also scarce. Calling the front desk, although very nice - your request was never actioned. We had no wifi in our room and yet everywhere else on the property was fine.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Kid Friendly Resort!

We initially booked for White Sands Resort, when we got to the room we were beyond disappointed. The room was in poor condition, but clean and very small (smallest hotel room we've ever been in). The view was the back of building, only one elevator was working. They gave us two twin beds (for a family of three) even though i requested a king bed. The safe did not work, sliding door was broken, this was a major safety concern with a toddler. We were so disappointed because we spent so much money [... read more], we expected a bit more - this was not worth it at all. Nevertheless, we upgraded to the Blue Waters Resort the very next day! Wow- this decision totally changed our vacation trajectory. The resorts were like night and day. The Blue Waters Resort was so much nicer, everything was better! The room was spacious and modern, the view was amazing (beach view) and the over all building facilities were so much better (newer building). We had some amazing staff that took pride in their work and made our stay very memorable! Shout out to TERRON, SHELLY ANN, TIANA and GEORGE - extremely professional, friendly and polite! They took pride in their work and cared about the guest experience!! THANK YOU guys for amazing consistent service!! Kids Club was a life saver! My daughter loved it, it had so many activities daily for the kiddos which allowed us to get a well needed break, loved it!!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Five star staff!!

The resort was wonderful.We got a pool/ocean view on the third floor in building one.Thete was a coffee maker a t that worked great air worked great but no fridge.Safe is included as well.Food was good.Omelet girls were fantastic.We went to all the alacarte restaurants and didn't like the Jamaican one.The Japan was the best but we paid for it. The beach is clean,the water crystal clear and the island is picturesque.Entertainment was some very good to some mediocre.Santizing stations available  [... read more]and all staff wore masks!.It was a wonderful vacation! The drinks were fabulous and so was most wait staff.Everyone was polite and worked hard.Would definitely go back!!

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: We loved our stay!

My husband and I kust returned from a weeks vacation at the Ziva. This has been our favourite vacation to date. I can't say enough good things about the staff and by staff I mean EVERYONE. We were looking for a relaxing vacation with good food, beautiful grounds and entertaining shows in the evening. The Hotel Ziva exceeded our expectations. The food was incredible. Fun Holiday Beach Resort: Should be sold as a hotel, not all inclusive

So this is in regards to my experience and you can do what you want with it. The room is clean and has a bed and bathroom and a tv with a few channels and working AC, what more do you need in a room? The bar was pathetic, very little to pick from and all they had for mix was Pepsi,sprite, club soda and ting. No OJ, cranberry juice,tomato juice etc. so if you like beer you are good.I walked into town to get some pineapple juice for my drinks. There was a few small fish you could see but that’s it. The stingray do come around in the morning but we only saw 1. The entertainment…..they try. They try but the equipment they give him always breaks and with there not being a lot of people there it’s hard to get much going. The pool… I emailed and phoned to make sure it was open. It was green when we got there, it wasn’t until we called our rep and they contacted the resort that they started cleaning it.When we left it was murky, only a couple jets running and they don’t test levels they just throw in chemicals so use at own risk. The food…you won’t starve but you may get hungry. They serve 3 meals a day breakfast 8:30(ish) lunch they aim for 1:30 but could be 2:30, supper between 7&8. breakfast will be eggs scrambled or maybe an omelette (nothing in it just an egg in shape of omelette), bacon sometimes, wiener things (not sausage) one day there was liver another day some cabbage, toast.lunch would be Mac and cheese, cabbage, sometimes mini sandwiches or sliced up Pattie’s, burger, fries etc. supper usually 2 proteins fish, chicken, pork, rice and beans, cabbage. One night we had spaghetti. The fried chicken was good. they don’t put a lot out so we were afraid to put too much on our plates or others wouldn’t get anything. The only dessert was melon served at each meal and sometimes some kind of loaf. There was always water and some kind of a punch it sat out all day on a table. Coffee was good but if you are an early riser you may have to wait for it. They have hot water and tea bags. Usually had sugar and a form of milk. They ran out of cups regularly so best to take your own. Overall your trip will be what you make it. I would not do all inclusive again. You can safely walk into town to one of many restaurants and little markets to buy alcohol, snacks and meals.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing place

I just got back from this amazing resort yesterday. Iberostar Hall Rose Beach is a great place to visit, I have been returning to this resort for 7 years. The staff, entertainment and management are all so friendly and helpful and do their best to enjoy your stay.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Not as good as it could be.

Resort grounds and rooms were as advertised. Worthy of 4-5 star. The staff was another story. Of course there are always great hard working people but I would say that this was not the majority. Major issue was the none stop offering to buy drugs of all kinds. I was even offered to buy drugs during a diner service. This was all done by staff member. For an all inclusive I have never been told so much that there was an extra charge of items.

Couples Tower Isle: great all inclusive

Well maintained Art Deco hotel from the 1950's. The original Couples resort still delivers. Beautiful beach although not a long one. Bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. We had an ocean view room and had breakfast on the balcony every day. Majority of meals at all the restaurants were very good. The beach party was great and all the nightly entertainment we saw was excellent. We were always able to find a shaded lounge chair on the beach and the place never felt crowded. Everyone working at the resort and the drivers/chauffeurs were very friendly and personable. Just wish it was a little closer to the airport.

Zoetry Montego Bay: Amazing Resort for Mature Couples

This is an excellent resort/spa for couples. The atmosphere is just amazing and relaxed. The food is remarkable. The menu changes everyday. The selection of food and drink is impeccable. Great place for honeymooners and mature couples. The price is appropriate for a boutique style resort. 49 rooms is just the perfect size.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Enjoyed our stay

Very clean! Awesome rooms! Family friendly. Did NOT know you can only eat in a restaurant only 3 times in your 7 night stay! We were stuck Having to eat from the buffet 4 nights eating the same foods. The staff always made you feel like You had to tip.

Riu Ocho Rios: Breathtaking

This Hotel/resort was breathtaking. Awesome. It superseded my expectations in every way. Our sunwing agent Karol and the entire team members were very very courteous too. If there was a change or question in regards to our flight or booking, it was addressed immediately. This form of communication gave me a great deal of peace of mind and satisfaction.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing resort

Excellent resort, staff were very helpful, food was excellent . Enjoyed our excursion to blue mountain. The weather was hot but there was a lovely breeze. We hope to return in advance he next few years.

Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing!! No need to leave the hotel, it's all there!

Riu Ocho Rio is paradise with a cherry on top! The location is extremely clean, lots of spacious seating with the best entertainment and tasty food. Vacationing over the long weekend (National Heroes Day) and they incorporated elements that visitors could enjoy and be educated. The beach was clean and secluded with lots of seating and no vendors. No need to leave the hotel, its all there! I definitely will be back and recommend to all.

Riu Negril: Lovely ,Relaxing resort

The rooms, grounds and restaurants where very clean. Staff was wonderful. Everyone friendly and helpful. It was nice to be in a resort where everyone spoke English. Entertainment was goodi have stayed in a Rui resort before and I would return again.

Riu Negril: RIU Negril

We really enjoyed our stay there. The grounds were clean and well kept. Rooms were large, well appointed and clean. Comfortable beds. Pools were great. Nice beach. The restaurants were good and we enjoyed the food in all of them.

Couples Negril: First Visit to Couples Negril

This was our first visit to Couples Negril. We went in early October 2022. We had a very early Tuesday flight out of Toronto (6:15 am departure with Sunwing). Our airport experience in Toronto was excellent, with very short lineups and the flight was on time. The Montego Bay airport was the same with us landing and we were at the shuttle bus on our way to the resort in well under an hour. Our room was not quite ready so we left our bags and went and had lunch and then went to the beach for a few hours then went and got our bags and room key. We had a garden view room in building 8 with a patio and a couple of chairs. The room was more than adequate with a comfortable bed and was kept very clean the entire week we stayed there. The A/C was cold, but adjustable with a remote control. We were only in the room to sleep and shower, the rest of the time we were out enjoying the resort. Lots of hot water and the room had the usual amenities that a hotel room has. Likes: The people who work at the resort. Very friendly and fun to visit with. We met and visited with lots of other people on the beach. The food was amazing everywhere we ate. Try the soups and step outside of your comfort zone with some of the meals. I did and was pleasantly surprised. The beach on Bloody Bay is very nice. Great for long walks and also great swimming. No water shoes required. Fun to watch all the activity while laying on a lounger or in for a swim. The water was so warm we spent most of our day just floating around. Mini Bar stocked in your room with full size bottles and mix. Coffee maker in the room. I am up early so I liked making a coffee and just sitting on the patio to start my day. The included watersports activities. These were very popular. Dislikes: I don't have much to add under the dislikes heading. I wish the drive was a bit shorter, but it is what it is. On the plus side, it is interesting seeing the local Jamaican life and scenery on the way out. Recommend this resort: Yes definitely Will we return: Yes definitely

Riu Reggae: Riu Reggae 3.5*

The Resort was a perfect size. Rooms were clean, staff was nice. Food was good, but would be better if they switched up the menus once in a while. It seem to be the same foods everyday. Plus the food was not hot, sometimes even cold. The Hotel Grounds were ok, they didn't pick up garbage in the gardens and grass often. Not pretty.
