Iberostar Selection Coral Bavaro: Five star but...

This is a beautiful hotel. The Coral Level is well worth it and the upgrade to ocean side rooms even more so. The beach is very nice and the breakfast/lunch buffets were amazing. Dinner restaurants were very disappointing (with the possible exception of Salt & Soul as well as La Dorada) and the concierge was useless (we saw Yolman the first and second day after which he basically ignored us despite receiving very nice tips). The overall service was very good and the staff helpful. Housekeeping  [... read more]was excellent while minibar service sorely lacking (never refilled). The water bottle policy needs to be reviewed. The highlight was the spa where five of us received excellent professional massages. The hotel makes an effort to help those with allergies but the labels are all wrong and misleading. THEY NEED TO GET THE ALLERGY LABELS RIGHT.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great Resort

We were very impressed with this resort. The grounds were very clean. The rooms were not too bad. The beach was very clean and had many available umbrella spots. The beach was beautiful as ever. Cuba is known for these beautiful beaches. The food was good. We found the food tastier and there seemed to be an abundant amount and quality of food. There was entertainment around 8:30 pm every evening on the front patio area followed by entertainment at the grand Theatre area around 9:30 pm. People always need to come to Cuba and enjoy the beauty of the beaches and the people. They should not be thinking that they are going to find what they have at home. Iberostar Coral Holguin: I can't wait to go back!!

I have been to Cuba many times before, and I have to say my week here was the best ever! The resort itself is stunning, very clean with awesome rooms. No matter what time of day or night (we arrived very late), the staff was friendly and helpful. The bartenders were excellent! No shortages stop them as they can get quite creative if you tell them what you like! They also tell some pretty good jokes LOL! The service staff was very good; our room was cleaned from top to bottom daily, with plenty [... read more] of towels, toilet tissue, and plenty of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and lotion. The food was good and there was plenty of it. I have no complaints about the food. Now let's talk about our Butler Extraordinaire, Junior Perez! I don't have the words to tell you how great he made our trip. It was like all you had to do was think about something, and you turn around and there is Junior making it happen, always smiling and helpful! Junior and the staff turned a great vacation into an awesome one! In all my trips to Cuba, I have never booked a resort twice, but I am already booking another stay here in April, and probably again next January.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Had a Great Time

We travelled to Iberostar Selection Playa Pilar Jan 7th – 14th 2023. After 25+ trips to Cuba this was our 4th time to this beautiful resort and as always it didn’t disappoint!! With beautiful surroundings and genuine people! you cannot go wrong with choosing Playa Pilar to spend your vacation! Very nice accommodations, great ocean views from most rooms, a good selection of food to choose from and of course the weather is much nicer than Eastern Canada at this time of year! We found the eff [... read more]ects of COVID to be minimal during our time here, a couple of supply chain issues like what we have at home but not a deal breaker. With that in mind just come prepared with condiments you like such as ketchup, mustard, relish etc. Maybe pack some tissue, an extra beach towel and you are good to go. But as beautiful as this resort is it is the wonderful hard-working people there that make it a Gem in Cuba, folks such as Wilber, one of the bartenders at the Snack Bar, always a “Hola” and smile, quick with a special drink and a story. My friend Yadier on the front desk, funny, caring and always helpful to everyone. And of course, Yenia in customer service, she is one of the most caring persons you will have the pleasure of meeting here! Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great resort!

Mostly everything was great about this resort. Well kept grounds and buildings, beautiful scenery and landscaping, and easy access to most things! I was not really impressed by the main buffet closed for lunch, but there were other options so it really was fine. The food options available at the buffet were better than the 3 restaurants I tried, but all still a fun experience. All drinks available were good too. My room was always cleaned nicely when the do not disturb sign was up and that was always nice to come back to. The rooms had very minimal power outlets which was really weird, bring a power bar maybe?

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: A Magical Place in a Nature Reserve

This is a great place which we have been to 6 times since we started there in 2019. We have stayed in Megano/Spa section most of the time but did try one visit to the Coral Village last March. While the Village was good, we found it to be a bit isolated from the rest of the resort facilities and the internal shuttle wasn't reliable. Initially the Spa section was adult only but it is now open to families. There are 2 beaches Megano and Ensenachos which are both beautiful and have great snorkelli [... read more]ng. Megano has a great restaurant/grill while Ensenachos has only a beach bar. The pool in the Spa section is beautiful day and night. Staff as always are what makes these places special. The food is generally quite good with lots of choice in the buffet. The a la carte restaurants are limited currently to one with a rotating menu due to the number of guests. We are hoping this opens up in the future as more people start travelling as the Punta Pirata restaurant is really amazing. All in all a magical place for us!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Nice Clean resort

We stayed at the lberostar Costa Dorada the middle of January most of our family came total of 13 people we booked as a group so we were hoping our rooms would be close we were all spread out between building 6, 7, 8 & 9. But we made the best of it. The hotel grounds were kept Immaculate the beach was kept clean of seaweed compared to the resort next door. Buildings were slightly dated but fully functional. Our room had 2 doubles and a single bed with a balcony.Maids did a fantastic  [... read more]job The fridge was restocked daily, and they had a water filtration system that you refilled your resuable glass bottles(they provided) Workers were friendly, although most struggled to speak english, even waiters and bartenders The food was good, the buffets offered a variety of choices. ltalian and Japanese were good service was fast. Mexican was ok, and service was not great. Payaya made on beach was fantastic Bartenders didn't know many drinks, and they were always different. They nad fountain drinks, but they were very watered-down kids didn't like them. Fruit punch was a light pink orange juice was clear (fountain drinks). The pool was clean, and they had life guards at both the beach and pool. There are lots of lounges and umbrellas at both the beach and pool. During our week stay 4 of those days they had busses of Cruise ship people come to the resort for the day So busier than normal but still fine The ice cream machine at the pool buffet was good. The only issue was people misusing it or leaving it running and making messes with it. I would make a suggestion for more garbage cans throughout the resort Entertainment was mediocre. They had things at the pool during the day, bingo, ring toss, archery, darts volleyball, etc. These were good. Nighttime shows were lacking The last night we were there, they had a silent disco as a pre show. They should have just continued that nstead of stopping it and putting on their show. Most people were having a blast and left after they stopped the disco. All in all, a nice resort, our family enjoyed our vacation, and I would recommend it to others.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: excellent resort

Very easy layout, food was very good for Cuba resort was well maintained. The staff seemed distanced but efficient. the rooms where kept sort of clean except I would of liked the floor swept at least once during our stay. Over all not a bad resort and I would recommend this resort to my friends

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Fantastic staff

When booking I had requested a wheelchair accessible room. Apon arrival found out they do not have wheelchair accessible rooms in this part of hotel but rather needed to go up 3 steps to get into the suite. The staff was amazing and made a ramp for us and offered to help with anything we may need. The resort was beutiful. The food was mediocre but had something for everyone. The suite was amazing loved the jacuzzi and beach chairs on the balcony. I highly recommend the resort

Iberostar Selection Varadero: The best sunny destination

This trip was our first trip to Cuba, so we did a lot of research and narrowed down to this resort, Iberostar Selection Varadero. The flight was delayed due to weather, so we arrived close to midnight. However, the hotel is prepared for those late arrivals, and staffs were very accommodating. When we woke up the next morning, we found everything was beautiful and well organized. The beach was amazing along with blue sky and clean air. Everyone we encountered in the resort were very friendly. I am sure we will stay in the same hotel when we go back to Cuba in future.

Great weather friendly staff we choose this resort based on the price point and we haven’t been disappointed reach our expectation completely. taking in consideration of the hardship that country is going through we are very happy, abundance of food and drinks even important drinks have been available

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Sixty in cuba

The grounds were well kept and very clean. The layout was fantastic. The workers all amazing All the bar staff was fantastic to us . The ocean boys always had my chairs ready to go. The activity team all super amazing people always made the effort to talk to our group everyday and made us feel special The shows were amazing very talented dancers. The building itself could use some TLC but I realize they are still recovering from the effects of covid Elevators did not work at all,

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great vacation

The resort was beautiful with wonderful friendly staff. We loved everything about it. Dealing with the staff at Trip Central was great too. They were very helpful and responsive when I had questions about our trip. I would go back to the resort and also book through Trip Central for future vacations.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great getaway!

Resort and rooms was what was expected. Service was great, pools were very clean, beach was beautiful. Elevators were hit and miss. Food was plentiful. Lobby bar was very busy in evening and relax area for lunch was delightful. Only complaint would be lack of respect of patrons.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Disappointing

Went for my dad's birthday paid for decorations and it was put together so poorly that it lasted 10 mins and no one would fix it. Coffee machines were always broken, ice cream store ran out of chocolate and vanilla for 4 days. I have been to this resort 4 times and it was really good but post COVID I will not go back. Buffet had 50% less things than before. Overall very disappointing, they got rid of ginger ale at this resort as well, not Iberostar standard. They were always running out [... read more] of Beer, but it was an overall disappointing experience from when I was there in 2019

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Awesome resort!

The beach was fantastic and we never had any issues finding beach chairs. The buffet and restaurants were very good - especially the Japanese restaurant. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. Special shout-outs to Luis and Daniel.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort!

We were a group of 24 including kids and we had a great time at Iberostar Laguna Azul. The grounds were kept, lobby is spectacular and the pool and beach was a short walk from the rooms. Dayana was very attentive to our daily routine and kept our rooms tidy. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a getaway that includes an awesome beach and resort. Food is a bit better than your average Cuban resorts.
