Riu Tequila: Amazing resort !!!

This is the place that I will recommend to my friends too. We had some problems with the toilet and they fix it right away. The food was excellent , a big selection to choose.Great place ! I will go again!

Catalonia Yucatan: Great Stay at the Catalonia Yucatan!

We spent a week at the CY recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I am a frequent traveller to the area (5x this year) and that was my first stay there, but will not be my last. the rooms are a bit dated, but clean. The food is fantastic, the pools are beautiful and the sunrises are wonderful. My only suggestion is more bartenders as service was quite slow at times, and stop having guests wait to be seated in the buffet. Viva Azteca by Wyndham: Fantastic resort

The resort is not to much big. People are very kind and remind you. They are not changing too much since our last trip in 2013. We will return next year for our weeding. The animation team is very kind too. they entertain people very good and they have very good talent in dance.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Now Sapphire

Bus Ride from the Airport is very quick, 20-30 minutes. Room 106, Our room was bottom corner beach front privilege room right next to the pool and volleyball was fun if you want something to always watch from your deck. The size of the room is very similar to the grand sunset or grand Riviera closer to Cozumel. One big difference is they do not have the cutout in the wall from the bathroom and the Jacuzzi is only on the balcony. The soap, shampoo and conditioner are ok. I would bring my own cond [... read more]itioner. They also give a full size hair dryer that they put in the closet, so no need to carry your own. The room does need a bit of an update but was pretty clean, air conditioner and fridge worked fine. I would have liked a ceiling fan more than the decorative drape on the ceiling. I loved that I could lay in my bed drink my coffee and see the ocean from that position. I loved the beach front room. While there I gave construction the idea to add stairs down the grass hill to the sand, it would look much better and be safer. They were starting by laying out pavers to see if I used them, when they noticed I did they came back to tell me something was in the works now. YEA! The Beach It has a lot of seaweed in the water and on the beach. A tractor comes along to clean it up constantly, which is great if you take a walk down the beach and see the resorts that don’t and its gross. The sand is white and soft but the water is more like in PV. I did swim and still enjoyed myself. Volleyball Well there are a father and son who were at the court every day like I have read in other reviews. According to security they have a time share in the resort. They were aggressive players and that encouraged that type of game. It was intimidating for guests that may just want a little fun and only play once in a while to have a second net up for the fun crowd not the ones who think they are going out for the Olympics. The Food I am not going to go on about the food but we all enjoyed it. I am a vegetarian and the rest of them ate meat and we ate well. I thought the room service menu was excellent and would have had all my breakfast and snacks out of my room. I would have liked to see a snack at the preferred pool like they do at the Grand Sunset/Princess it’s very convenient. The lunch time bbq was very nice but would always like a fish option along with the meats. They did a great BBQ chicken according to my fiancé. I loved the pretzels at the coffee shop. Walk to Puerto Morales It takes about 40 minutes and I would recommend you wear runners because you will encounter area of a lot of sea weed. You will also encounter a resort right on the beach with nude bathers. If you have kids I thought you may want that warning. I didn’t find anything in the little town worth staying and would have rather went into Cancun to do the beach and lunch afternoon. The beach is so much nicer in Cancun or closer to Playa del Carmen. The Staff I found the staff wonderful, friendly and willing to help in all situations. A special shout out to Hugo who gave great service and did a favor by finding me scissors to deal with some hair knots, thanks Hugo. Elizabeth at the spa gave me a great Pedi cure while helping me expand my Spanish, thanks Elizabeth. The entertainment team is very hard workers and always had a friendly smile.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: A poor choice

Been to The Mayan 10 times now. Love it but this is not the place to stay. Very dated. A lack of ownership from the management although the front line staff are good. Spend a couple of hundred extra for a better experience. Very disappointed in general

Ocean Maya Royale: Wonderful resort!

This was the best all-inclusive I have ever stayed at. The food was great, staff was very friendly and kind, the beach was well-kept and there were so many activities happening throughout the day. I would easily stay here again. My only qualm was that I think Mike's Coffee should be open for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening (rather than just from 4-11PM).

Ocean Maya Royale: Simply wonderful

Had an amazing 10 day stay in late October. Had a wonderful relaxing time at this smaller adults only resort. Food was great both a la carte & buffet. Ollie the bartender at the lobby bar was outstanding as was Miguel at the pool bar. Resort was very clean, staff very friendly, no complaints at all & would definitely go back

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Trip

Great hotel. Very well kept and clean. Food was awesome. Very big resort, lots to do. Excursions were a little pricey and you not close to the beach, but the trolleys will pick you up and take you there. Definately recommend and will be staying at another Grand Bahia in the near future.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: a great hotel overall

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Great October Vacation

This place was beautiful - very large, but beautiful. The beach was clean and there were lots of loungers and shady spots. The beach servers were very outgoing and fun and up for laughs! The path ways were well maintained but could of used a bit more lighting. It was nice to see all the natural growth instead of cleared spaces for gardens. All the restaurants were Delish and we had no problem getting reservations. The pools were all beautiful and there was always a spot to be had through out the day - but we stayed on the beach where we were hand to the snorkelling. We were able to get a great 4 person deal at the spa that included lunch, hydo therapies and a massage. Was a great way to spend the afternoon after arriving the previous night! Check in and out was smooth and effortless!

Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: Great Hotel, Amazing Food...Cold Showers

I think this hotel was great overall, the food was fantastic and the service was great. It really feels like you are the only one in the hotel so if you want to relax this is the place! Only comment didn't like was that if you didn't take a shower in the morning at 8 or 11 at night there was little to no hot water which was frustrating. I think overall though it was great! I like to walk so the fact that the beach was about 10-15 min walk from the room was a nice change for me.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Decent resort BUT Dont do TimeShare meeting

This is my 2nd trip to the BPAkumal. 1st time was 10 yrs ago and it was great. This time (Oct 18th/14 - for a wk) it was just OK. A lot of construction, food was ok, no ice machines for each villa like before. We unfortunately had rain for 5 days so TV in the room would have been useful however the cable only worked 1 day. The problem was never fixed. I am not too difficult to please so all of the things I mentioned we tolerable as the working Staff (all the REAL workers - Cooks, Maids, Wait Sta [... read more]ff, Shuttle drivers Etc.) were great. Always smiling and ready to help with anything. Unfortunately we did sign up for the "Special Tour" for repeat guests. Basically this is a "High Pressure Timeshare Meeting" Unfortunately for them, when things sound to good to be true I know its a sign to run. I was even asked if my cc would accept a $8,000 + charge. We sat initially with a nice kid, then a fast talking girl, then a cheesy sales guy with cigarette breath and finally the top dog who still was pushing. 3 hrs in to this meeting that was suppose to be 90min. I basically said enough as my poor kids sat through all of this as well. We signed a release form. Were given a few cheap T Shirts NO Vodka as promised. I didn't even care as I just wanted to leave. We have been to BP is Jamaica and twice here BUT because of the meeting I will not vacation here again. NO MORE BP fir us.

Iberostar Waves Tucan: A resort in the midst of the jungle - Awesome

There are 2 resorts in one - the Tucan and the Quetzal both equally beautiful with and it isn't difficult to get lost in the jungle sights and sounds between them with the natural vegetation, running water and wildlife which includes peacocks, agouti, coati and howler monkeys. The food is good and the service was excellent. We had rain 5 of the 9 days there. I slipped on the stairs and unfortunately broke a bone in my leg on day 5. The resort staff were excellent particularly guest services representative Taskia and the resort doctor - Lucia. The hospital experience was also very good - we spend 3 hours there and the cost for xrays, consultation and casting (waterproof so I could still swim) was $1,200 US. The doctor (Dr. Corona-Gomez) was very thorough making a cut up the front of the cast to allow for any swelling on the plane home and providing me with anticoagulants to take before & after the flight to avoid a blood clot. Despite the fracture, we still had a very positive experience and would definitely go back again!! A hats off to Berenice & Laura of the Star Friends group!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: I'd go again

The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well kept. The a la carte restaurants are fabulous especially the hibachi bar. The only problem we had was with our son and daughter-in-laws door sensor. It took 6 times for them to get it fixed which was very frustrating. To add to that, as an "I'm sorry" they decorated the room. The problem was, it was our room not theirs. It was kind of a comedy of errors. Still I really enjoyed the resort and would definitely go again.

Catalonia Yucatan: Absolutly amazing resort!!!!

Amazing, nice and hard working staff, everybody was helpful and very professional. every trip was perfect organized and really interesting. Rooms very clean and spotless. My family and I would go there again with pleasure!

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Fantastic Time at the Palladium!

We stayed at the Riviera Oct 27 - Nov 3 as a group of 12/family reunion and I have to say it's one of the nicest resorts we've been to. Service was great, the grounds were very clean, tons of food choices. Favourite a la carts were the steakhouse (El Dorado) and the Italian (Portofino). Would definitely return here again. The only downside was the inconsistent transportation around the resort. My elderly parents spent a considerable time waiting for the little carts to come around (they're suppo [... read more]sed to show up about every 15 min but sometimes they waited over a half hour). Other than that, this resort is top notch.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: definitily return. amazing

Great service, great food clean. Able to walk outdoors into shopping area. Evening entertainment was amazing. Ten restaurants to choose from. Rooms were large and very clean. Staff available outside pool to provide drinks. Butler service every evening. Would return in a heart beat

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: great resort

the grand bahia tulum is a nice clean resort we had a great view of the water from our balcony.food was good,went for long walks on the beach which we loved.have been to two other resorts near by and liked the Barcelo better.

Oasis Tulum: Great resort

Everything is great. The hotel is cozy, clean, taken care of. The restaurant is the same. People from the stuff are pleasant, helpful, attentive. The beach is clean enough, there is enough shade. Receptionists are helpful too, polite and pleasant.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Had an amazing honeymoon :)

The resort was great, booking through tripcentral was great ... honestly, the experience was just great. I highly recommend the Emerald Junior Suite, it has a nice location right beside the beach and a really cool jacuzzi to relax in. There is so much to do in Mexico and being at an amazing resort with great food just makes it that much better. I just want to thank all of the staff for making the trip so memorable.
