Memories Jibacoa: Fantastic resort once again!

This resort is perfect if you just want to get away from everything and relax. This is my 4th time here and I would definitely go back again. The staff are one of the highlights. They greet you like a long lost relative they haven't seen for a year. The grounds are always kept immaculate as are the rooms. The food is above par for Cuba, lots of choice. Not a lot of night life and its an older crowd but still lots to do. Hotel Bella Costa: exellent vacation.

To me,that was my first holiday in Canada which is the most beautiful place whole my life, so I will recommended my friends who wants to go to the vacation in somewhere. I spent good time in there with my girl friends. I think that if hotel has some more entertainment to show us like bally dance.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice resort

The hotel was very nice and the beach is great. The food, however, is lousy and cold at the buffet. They very seldom give you ice water or a cold bottle of water. The mini bar contains beer and 2 Cuban pop only. The coffee makes in the rooms rarely work. Some of the workers are very nice but most of them don't give you the time of day. The entertainment is basically the same every night. If it rains, there is absolutely nothing to do at this resort. The laundry (sheets, blankets etc) have a stal [... read more]e smell to them. They do not supply face cloths unless you bug them for them.

Melia Las Antillas: Resort Value for Price

Grounds very pleasant and kept in good condition. The food was better than we expected from reading previous reviews but then we love seafood. Management need system to stop beach goers from claiming more than one lounger per person.

Hotel Bella Costa: great time

Hotel was great, large rooms and friendly staff. Food was good overall and you are close enough to town you can always walk or cab in to try some other places. 24/7 bar was awesome and the resort had great nightly entertainment. If you are looking for a great place to go dancing and experience Cuban night-life go to Calle 62. Amazing bar with a street party every night. For food check out alladin cafe and kiki's which has great pizza

Roc Arenas Doradas: Disappointing

The buffet was terrible, there was no chicken breast available in the entire resort. The pool/surrounding area was very dirty. Night club was under construction. Maid service also terrible, one day they didn't even make our bed. I understand that you get what you pay for in Cuba, but in 2013 we went to Holguin, paid way less for our package through Air Canada and had an amazing time.

Los Delfines: Better than SNOW

We stayed a week from Nov.15-22/14 at the Club Los Delfines in the heart of Veradero Cuba. This Hotel has two sections on two sides of the street . The pool side is on one side and the beach side the other. The beach side also houses the only buffet and alacart restaurant in a building that reminded me of the Alamo in Texas. The food of course was not so good but there are lots of restaurants outside the resort where you can get a garlic shrimp dinner for $6.00 or Lobster seafood platter for $15.00. Drinks were good and staff were great. Get the Spanish coffee , it's amazing. And have your morning coffee at the 24 hour beach bar rather then the buffet. It had a pool table and ping pong table to pass the rainy days of which we had 2.....all day. The lobby is tiny and cramped so if you are coming with a crowd expect a long check-in time. The street down the middle of the resort was not an issue and the food in Cuba is what it is so bring snacks. I traveled with another couple and we all had a good time so if small and intimate is your style and you don't mind older hotels you may also have a good time.

Grand Memories Varadero: Good Value for the money

Hotel rooms were decent, food was 3 star rating, staff was very friendly, however royal service was not up to the title. The alacarte restaurants were hard to access and they tended to place you in the restaurant that came with the adult section. The pool in the adult section needed music as it was extremely quite.

Starfish Jibacoa: This resort was perfect for us!

Older hotel located on the beach,great for snorkling. Buildings are quite spread out, very spacious grounds. Furniture in rooms are well worn, but very clean. Any problems we had were taken care of the same day. Between the snack-bar and resturant, we were never without food. Very friendly staff!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Terrific stay at El Patriarca!

Hola - First time in Cuba for my wife and I are we were not disappointed. We knew the food was not going to be great and it was not nearly as bad as lots of people have commented on. There are plenty of options to choose from and you will eventually find something that works for you. The Gourmet and Italian restaurants are nice but get there at least by 6:10 to get a seat for 6:30. We were upgraded to the Privilege section and had a second floor unit overlooking the pool. Very close to the beach which was very nice but get there early (by 7 am) to reserve a spot and then go to breakfast. The Privilege and Main pools were crystal clear and immaculate. As were the entire grounds and beach. No garbage anywhere. No mosquitoes. Staff were always friendly and smiling. Very hardworking and tipping is a nice gesture at times but not always necessary as you will not find anyone asking or gesturing for it. We felt very safe throughout our trip both at the resort and in Varadero where we visited for 2 days. We also took the opportunity to swim with the dolphins which I would highly recommend. We chose this over going into Havana as 4 hours in a car versus 4 hours on a catamaran was a "no brainer" for us. Overall an excellent experience and we are already planning our next trip to Cuba. Where else can you go to a warm destination that you feel safe, can get an inexpensive all-inclusive trip, and a 3 hour flight from Toronto. This all points to a return for us.

Hotel Villa Cuba: Just OK

The buildings and grounds needed a lot of work. There should be some kind of restrictions..on smoking. The lobby area was really bad. The shower in the bathroom leaked all over the floor. As far as the maid goes she did not do her job. I paid for a VIP package and we had to ask for everything that was in the package.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Great resort

Only one problem on the far end island -carts for traveling people back and forth were down most of the time-didn't mind walking but had heavy rain and no carts food was great for Cuba service was very good rooms were clean staff very friendly

Grand Memories Varadero: Filthy motel

The hotel is more a motel. Blinds are broken, dirty stained towels, hard sand filled bed. The staff are all very pushy and tip driven. I had an experience where a waiter chased me out of the hotel after asking for a glass of wine, requesting his tip. most of the pools are closed and it is an extra fee to use the hot tubs or get room service. this is not an all inclusive resort.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful resort!

This resort is beautiful. 6 pools and very clean. The rooms are a good size as well. Animation staff and bar staff are wonderful and very friendly. The buffet wasn't that great but I loved all of the a la carte restaurants. I would recommend this resort for sure.

Melia Marina Varadero: As good as the first time...

Our second visit in the last year. The change we noticed is that all the boutiques are now open and the place looks complete. Same staff as last year. We were upgraded because it was our second visit. All the a-la-carte were improved service wise. All amenities worked as they should so we had no bad surprises. Do not be concerned about the beach location (over the bridge) because you can walk or take the frequent golf carts. Hotel Villa Cuba: soso

this hotel was probably a 4 stars 30 years ago now i would give it a 2 stars at the most, hotel was very neglected,need a lot of maintenance,everywhere you look something was broken,or not working, took 2 day's to switch room,staff was great in general, food just ok,.Will not be my favorite place to return.

Starfish Varadero: The staff was friendly

The staff were friendly which is the only good thing I can say. It's unfortunate since there are so many great places in Cuba, dont' let this resort make you not want to come back! The food here was bad but who cares, that's not why we went. We stayed in a bungalow and it became a routine to do bug checks after a millipede was almost done the journey up my girlfriends arm. Hotel Villa Cuba: Amazing resort is Villa Cuba

SIMPLY AMAZING RESORT PUBLIC AREAS WAS GOOD,ROOMS WAS GOOD,DINING WAS GOOD, SERVICE ,FOOD,BEACHES WAS GOOD . I WILL RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO A FRIEND. WE HAD AMAZING TIME THERE AND WE LIKE TO GO AGAIN THERE.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princess Del Mar

Nothing special. Just nice. Pool was ordinary, beach beautiful Japanese restarant amazing. Staff excellent. Entertainment and activities not great, except for illusionist and water ballet. Lacking tropical drinks at swim up bar

Melia Las Americas: GREAT!

I was here for my friends Wedding. It was just a short trip but I would for sure go back to this resort. Staff was friendly, the food was good and the resort was beautiful. Would go back here in a heartbeat!
