Temptation Resort & Spa: Party 24/7 Fun Resort

This hotel has been rebuilt and refurbished in the last year and it's beautiful. It's clean and the staff are absolutely fantastic. You are never guaranteed the kind of room you booked unless you booked a very high end one and then if it says 'oceanview', you may have to stretch your head around the balcony to see the ocean, but once you get there, you won't care. The party sta [... read more]rts every night at 10pm at Bash which is the club onsite and it's always a good time. It doesn't end until about 3am. You can get cabanas if you like. I have been to this resort 11 times and am planning to return in November. If you like to dance and party and talk to a lot of friendly people at a resort that is somewhat small so you get to meet a lot of people, this is the place for you. If you don't like crazy, rowdy fun, avoid this place. One warning - if you go here, be prepared to meet a lot of different kinds of couples (and singles) - some are swingers (NOT ALL), I met a guy that was traveling with his girlfriend and her husband, I met single guys and single girls and all different ages of couples and friends. This resort is topless optional, it's not nude and they don't allow nudity in public places - don't be afraid of this place! BUT if you don't have an open mind, stay away. This place is whatever you want it to be. I went as a single female this time and just partied and had fun with my friends. A lot of offers for other things, but I just say no thanks and then still make friends with them. Everyone is lovely and complimentary and welcoming. Everyone has been there multiple times. If you go once and you like it, you will never go anywhere else. Ages range from about 25-70. The beach is small, I love it because everyone hangs out at the pool all day.. I like the breeze on the beach in the morning and then head up to the pool when the party starts after lunch... you will always find a beach chair.. pool, not so much, but you don't need one. Everyone just puts their stuff along others' chairs and gets in the pool. You won't want to sit anyway. If you do, you can go to the Quiet Pool on the other side of the resort. (You won't see a soul). Not sure what else to say, I hope that helps a bit :)

Las Palmas by the Sea: Nice Resort

Spent two weeks and loved the staff service. Dining room staff were amazing as well as bar and beach beveridge individuals...namely, Gabriella, Alejandro, Guadaleupe, Edger, David at the lobby bar....they work so hard. Make sure you tip occasionally. We will be back for that reason alone. Front desk and everyone were outstanding overall. Wine was horrible..they need to change this. Ocean rough but thats normal in the area. Loved the quiet pool option as the kids pool was very busy.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Beautiful and huge resort

We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo from April 5 to 12. The weather was amazing every day with temperatures around 29 degrees and nice breezes. We travelled with my parents who are in their early 70's and emailed ahead of time for a room request and they accommodated us nicely with everything we asked for. Some areas have steps to get in and some have a gradual slopes to get in. -The swim up bar was gorgeous and the service was pretty fast! The drink waitress was always coming around so if you were laying out on the lounger you never had to wait long for a drink :) -The beach was gorgeous, warm and had a lovely sandy bottom...no rocks! -The rooms were very nice and clean and the bed was the most comfortable one I have ever had at any resort I have gone to. Mini fridge was always stocked. -With the resort being so big, it was so nice being able to call the service desk for a cart to come pick you up. Wait time was less than 5 minutes, it was awesome! -The lazy river was so fun, we just kept floating around and around meeting new people each lap...it was one of our favorite things to do! -We all felt very safe at this resort! The Bad: -The food was ok at best. We went to 3 ala cartes , the El Museo French gourmet (pretty good, crappy desserts), the Mexican restaurant (yuck, I got sick for 2 days after with stomach cramps and diarreah) and the El Fogon steakhouse (ok but they pushed a specific cut of beef on us and when we got it it was mostly fat..felt like they were trying to get rid of their low grade beef or something). The buffets were repetitive and the food got boring. Always something to eat but always the same. -Check in was a nightmare. We arrived around 12:30pm and our room wasn't ready. We waited around hoping maybe one would become available but they wouldn't even check for us and just kept saying 3:00pm, al the while other guests were walking away with their room keys. We even went up 2:45pm to see if it was ready and they said 3:00, wouldn't even call and see if it was ready or not. At 3:02 we went up and they picked up the phone and checked and they were ready. The shift changed at 3:00 and they didn't want to deal with us so they pushed us off to the next shift. We were exhausted and my parents are elderly....this ruined our first day. -There was no place to get food after 12:30...we were turned away at the main buffet and the pool buffet. We ended up way down at the beach and found a hut with French fries and burgers (under cooked). All the walking bothered my mothers bad leg and wiped us all out. Our first day was a write off. So disappointed. -The beach had so much seaweed that you couldn't swim a few days. It was like a huge sheet of seaweed covered the water, it was gross. I know its not the resorts fault but none the less it still sucked! -The first 2 days it was impossible to get loungers around the pool and the beach area. They started policing the area and removing towels off loungers if they were empty for an hour to free them up. At first I didn't like the idea but by the 3rd day there were loungers galore and it was lovely :) -our safe was broken on the second day but they were there within 15 minutes to fix it. Some people thought it was a scam to steal your money but I don't think so. The person fixing the safe wouldn't enter the room unless we were there and my husband noticed that the cleaning staff were watched by a supervisor or someone when they cleaned every room. We had no issue with theft or anything like that. Overall a nice resort, I would give it a 3.5/5 mainly because of the food, it was disappointing.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Beautiful place to be

The grounds are lovely, the food is very good, and the amenities and activities are all well done. There is an "up sell" component, with staff wanting you to go to the spa or take a tour (become a member). This is a large resort and things are quite spread out. You will be walking. The older part of the resort is quite dated in decor and upkeep. The elevator in our building didn't work so we used the one in the building next to us.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Nice Resort

Overall a good experience. Staff are excellent. Dinner restaurants are very good. Buffet breakfast has many options but would be considered average. Ocean has a little disappointment with a few rocks and heavy seaweed daily. That said they are active every day keeping it clean. Based on the beach I would have to score it a 4.5 out of 5.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Good Resort for adults

Everything Good except beach Completely remove rocks from the beach and make it nice and sandy at least like Paradise Beach Rental Car in Cozumel $16US for 3 days, How come in resort is $90US per day?

Moon Palace Cancun: Too Many Kids!

Tripcentral had no idea to which section of Moon Palace we were going - Sunrise, Nizuc or Grand. We ended up in the Grand but spent most of our time in the other locations. Grand is a giant day care centre. Kids running wild everywhere. On top of that, all the facilities at Grand were taken up by the 1000+ participants attending an East Indian wedding. There is nothing like sitting next to some bum who thinks dressing for dinner is an undershirt and no deoderant. Room service was right on time but we did not receive what we ordered. Like all Mexican resorts, the staff were outstanding - with the exception of those people working the lobby. The Guest Services people, when not eyeing passing guests like a predator waiting to pounce, often sent us to 4 (yes, 4) different desks before we found somebody willing too help us with a question or concern. And, there was constant pressure to listen to their sales pitch to join their "Club." If you're looking for relaxation, this Resort is not for you. The resort is well maintained and the rooms are very nice. No need to waste money on a better room. The bars are not fully-stocked. For example, no Grand Marnier. If your favourite drink is the Golden Margarita, like me, you will have to do without. The wrist bracelets now also serve as your room key. A very convenient innovation. And, there are no towel cards to worry about either. The less stress, the better. The pool attendants were very nice and could always produce a new chair or umbrella for us, if required. However, the pool water was hot. Not warm - hot. Not refreshing at all. I really can't see us returning to Moon Palace.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Just perfect!

Perfect resort for families and also for adults at the adjacent resort Sian Kaan. Small resort with only a few steps from the restaurants, pools and the beach. The staff, entertainers and the service provided was outstanding and so was the variety of food available. The beach and the location is also perfect because of the proximity to a host of different attractions. We will be back and highly recommend this resort to everyone. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort

The staff were fabulous. They made the biggest difference. The waitors knew how to put a smile on ur face. Super clean place. A five star grounds and rooms were better than most. The entertainment was a awesome. Lots of different things going on and excursions for you to book.

Melody Maker Cancun: Two thumbs up!

The Melody Maker was above our expectations! we stayed the week of April 16 2018 The Staff was fantastic, very pleasant, always had a smile & eager to help in any way. The complex was always very clean with staff always staying on top of things. Food was terrific, with lots of variety & presented well. Drinks were "very" sufficient, & not skimpy like other resorts. Rooms were very clean & housekeeping did an excellent job everyday. The pool & area was great, could use more umbrellas thou [... read more]gh. The beach was top notch, clean and lots of loungers. Bonus was they had a lifeguard on duty. We would highly recommend the Melody for anyone that wants to relax & take it easy.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Amazing resort!!!

We really liked this resort. Was very clean, rooms were great, staff was very friendly and helpful. Service and food at all the restraunts was good. The selection at buffet was good for all people. Nightly entertainment was fantastic. Only downfall was there are a lot of stairs which isn’t great for wheel chairs or strollers. But would definitely visit again!!!!

Grand Oasis Cancun: Awesome vacation resort!

This resort was clean and well maintained. Beautiful grounds, lovely beach and pool areas. Many restaurant choices with well prepared meal options. There are quiet areas and busy areas with activities and music most all of the time. The evening entertainment was always enjoyable at many areas over the entire resort.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: 5* Luxury

We went to Riviera Maya April 15 - 22, 2018. We stayed at the Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa. Carol from Trip Central suggested this resort as we were undecided where to go. She said clients had just returned from there and they loved it. We were 2 couples traveling together. It was the higher end of our budget but we LOVED every little thing. It is only 5 years old. All staff were so friendly and ready to please. Customer service took only 5-10 minutes! Plenty of staff! Plenty of beach l [... read more]oungers! Didn't have to worry about beach towels and they always had lots! Bed was comfy and lots of pillows! Although the beach had seaweed it was still amazing...we spent most of our days at the beach and in the water. The food was delicious! We would definitely return. And definitely try other Royalton Resorts! This resort exceeded our expectations,

Grand Oasis Riviera: Amazing Resort

The resort is amazing. We stayed at the Sian Kaan for the entire trip. The place is just a paradise, so calm, quite and beautiful. Food presentation is awesome, servers are very friendly but it would be better if they put more staff during the meal time so that it could be more efficient. The only shortfall is the beach area has too much sea weed and rocks, and if the staff can communicate in English. Otherwise, we have no complaints at all.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: 18th times there and continue to return once or twice a year!

Easy to get to from anywhere in Canada. Great value, amazing property and staff. So many options for food and secret areas to chill. No other resorts around like many areas, you feel like you have your own private retreat, not to mention the best surf break in the area!

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Incredible Resort

The Royal Hideaway is the perfect adult all inclusive resort for relaxing and recharging. The grounds are impeccable, the staff goes out of their way to ensure you are looked after and the food is excellent. This resort has a very large, white sand beach that is never crowded and beautiful green water. Rooms are located in villas and each villa has a concierge to attend to your inquiries, make dinner reservations and help you with whatever you need. It is indeed heaven!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort

Beautiful spot .The grounds were perfectly groomed. The look after everything. You real didn't need upgrade because all bars had good name brands .That Bahia still is the only one with mini bar fridges that has chips and chocolate bars in it .

Melody Maker Cancun: Great Resort

This was a great resort with lots of superb service. We have been to many many all inclusive and this has been the best by far. 2 pools, individual beach umbrellas, hard working staff, great price. Would go back in a flash.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: This resort was ....okay.

The restaurants and buffet were quite nice, and the swim up bar is perfect for these hot days. It was my own neglect for not reading more about the resort before going, but the things that were a bit of a bummer were: 1) No room service, you cant even pay for it. 2) There are no waiters/waitresses at the pool or on the beach, so you do need to go to the bar to get beverages yourself. Not the worst problem to have, I know it sounds a bit spoiled, but every resort I have ever stayed at has h [... read more]ad this as an option so I was a bit disappointed. 3) The resort is massive, so be prepared to have a hotel room 5-10 minutes walk from the lobby/lobby bar/buffet/spa. They do however have shuttles running, so you can catch a ride quite frequently. 4) There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby only. I personally don't need to have internet at my fingertips constantly, but my travel partner has kids at home and wanted to be reachable. They have paid options for Wi-Fi, but they were listed as quite expensive. A tip for anyone going there - when you select the free Wi-Fi (while you are in the lobby), they give you an option for $10 for a full week. But if you don't originally select free Wi-Fi and you go directly to the Wi-Fi package options, there is no $10 option for your full stay, only the $10 per day option or more expensive for a full week. A bit sneaky if you ask me. The staff were lovely, and the room was good enough and clean. I would suggest staying at the Akumal resort if you want more of the luxuries, and their beach is better (WAY less seaweed). If you are a spa user - the one at Coba had a better circuit than the Tulum. I wouldn't stay here again personally, but we still had an amazing time, especially with the daily entertainment at the party pool. I am usually a backpacker that stays in hostels, so I am not typically a super fussy traveler. But when I go to a resort, I prefer all of the luxuries of being a lazy beach bum :)

Kore Tulum Retreat Wellness Resort: Exceeded my expectations!

I read a lot of reviews online and the resort is pretty quiet- especially at night, it feels like theres no one there! It was exactly what I wanted. Food options were better then i expected, but I eat a vegan diet- I had heard from some people that the meat wasnt so great there. The bikes absolutely need work, some of the tires were flat, and they were rusty! haha
