Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Never again

Hotel - To big to get around. 15 min walk from room to buffet and 20 min walk to the beach or endless wait for the "golf carts" to come by and take you to the desired destination. The rooms were all mouldy - I have asked to be moved and after several days of explaining that I have a medical condition and can not sleep in the room that reeks of mould I have been offered other rooms that was intended for handicapped individuals (also reeked of mould). After returning to Canada and several washes m [... read more]y clothes still smells of mould. Staff and travel guides - Not friendly and not helpful when asked questions. Travel guides were giving us wrong informations about tourist attractions as well as prices for the same. There we a lot of rude and pushy sales people in the hotel constantly harassing us to buy time shares after repeatedly saying we were not interested. Beach - Biggest disappointment of all. I have asked the travel consultant specifically about the beach when he recommended Mexico vs. Cuba and this hotel in particular as he mention that he came to it several times. Beach was on top of my list! It was small, rocky full of sandbags with almost to room to swim. Overall I would not go back nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone. I have a lot of friend that travel south several time as year and I have advised them to avoid this one like a plague.

Grand Riviera Princess: Relaxing Resort

This hotel was very relaxing. Very clean. The food was also very nice. The beach had rocks in some parts. Other than that, amazing resort. The a la carte restaurants filled up quickly, so make sure to book as soon as you get there.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: amazing resort

the hotel was nice the rooms were ok. there were no none smoking rooms so we could not sit out on the bacon because of the smokers. the beach was so so. the people working there were very helpful except for the fact that they wanted to sell different spa packages, was annoying but the food was very good the public areas clean!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Great resort. Wonderful vacation.

The hotel was great. Upon check in we discovered we had a room with an ocean view. We were disappointed however when we got to our room to see that the mangroves completely covered any view we might have. It didn't really matter though because who spends any time in the room when the beach and pool are steps away. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. We would go to this resort again for sure.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Top Service

The hotel staff is simply a 10/10. The hotel itself is very clean and the location to the city is perfect. The room we could not have asked for anything better.The food was good the bar staff were great, including the beach and pool service. The beach itself is very small as the entrance due to rocks crams a lot of tourists into the same area. The main issue lies with the construction taking place next door to the hotel which could be heard in all rooms backing onto the construction and even on  [... read more]the beach. Grand Palladium Colonial: Our Favourite Resort

This was our third visit to Grand Palladium Colonial. We were there in March, but usually we arrive in April. As always, it lived up to our expectations. It is indeed a beautiful resort. This resort has very friendly staff and wonderful grounds with lots of sights to see. The room was always cleaned very early in the day and we appreciated the efforts of the housekeeping staff. Since this was our third trip, we were very familiar with the resort offerings. This was entirely a rest and relaxation trip for us - Grand Palladium Colonial was the place to visit, a place for us to enjoy. We spent the entire week on the resort enjoying the food, drink and company of the other travelers. It has something for everyone and we have plans to return again in the near future.

needs updates mostly in rooms ac not working fan working but no cool air low or no refrigerant jacouzi tub not working bathroom had mold or mildew around tub sreen door to outside deck very hard to open and lock very poor food selection on room service menu . food in most restaurant was excellent grounds pools restaurants are very well kept

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Mixed feelings...not a 5 star

Hotel is nice, grounds are clean & staff are wonderful. We sought out Carlos' service area at the pool, he's amazing and always smiling. However, attention is required with food which is rather bland with little variety. Dirty room service trays from other rooms left out for hours. We paid for an oceanview room which was limited at best and we opted to pay even more to upgrade a few days in to our trip. Transition to new room was challenging though.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Clean, Quiet, and Gorgeous

Best resort I been to so far. I am looking forward to going back again this year. Property - New, clean, and absolutely stunning. Staff - Everyone was friendly (Except only two females at reception) Golf - It says free (You have to pay for an expensive cart = Catch) Beach - Gorgeous (You have to travel a few minutes by shuttle. The shuttles run every 5-15 minutes if that.) There are activities on the beach and a decent location for snorkeling. Entertainment - They have excellent entertainers tha [... read more]t perform at the hotel. Most of the resort shuts down around 11. The other resorts within the chain has a night club and a casino. FOOD - Impressed - Everything and anything - Access to All the other resorts and what they have to offer. The a la cart are pretty good as well. You must try the two located within Sian Ka'an. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing yet fun time this is the place for you.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Amazing.

Very nice huge resort with beautiful long beach with palm trees, so you don’t need to fight for spots with a bit of the shade. Hotel is very well mainted. Plenty of spaces to stroll among beautiful Mayan sculptures. Food, staff, night entertiment-excellent. The best splash pad for kids we have seen so far. Good snorkelling spot at the right side of the beach. Cenotes to see, are right across the hotel. We highly recommend this resort.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: The place to be.

Modern style architecture resort. Beautifull beach with an island with a resemblence of the Mayan ruins on it. An excellent place to snorkel right on the beach, you can see a variety of fish, reef and even turtles. Choice of different pools including the one immersed in the tropical forest. Very relaxing, long lazy river that we were using a couple of times per day. The resort is huge, requires some walking to the restaurants which worked for us (shuttle provided). Many restaurants a la carte. V [... read more]ery good food, very friendly and smiled staff, resort is run by Mayans. Very good, profesional night entertiment. Resort is well placed, close to Riviera Maya attractions like Xplore, Tulum etc. Rooms known to us have bathrooms divided from bedroom by frosted glass with some slots in it, which may be a concern for families with kids. During our stay, the only draw back was if you want to have a sun with the piece of shade, you have to “fight” for a lawn chair early in the day, as most of them, in spite of present signs, are reserved by towels, the bad practice known to other places. We visit the Caribbean frequently, always choosing different hotels, but if we would like to repeat it, the Sirenis is the number one to be.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Just Ok!!!

The spa was the best part of the resort. The grounds of the resort were nice but the beds were awful and there was no privacy in the bathroom. There was a big window inbetween the room and the bathroom and only a glass door to the toilet. There was jacuzzi tubs but they took over an hour to fill up. The entertainment was not very good so other than outside excursions there was not much to do. We were harassed the entire time by the staff to go on the tour to the premium side of the resort which  [... read more]they claim will take 90 mintues. It took 4 hours....They then try to sell you a time share kinda thing for a premium room when you come the those resorts. Total rip off and waste of time. The food was ok. I have been on better trips for sure. Oh and the service sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Nice resort but huge!

Beautiful and well kept resort. Lots of lush landscape and clean beach. Pools are kept very clean. Food is very good, especially the beach restaurant and the drinks are top shelf. On the downside, the resort is large and its very easy to get lost on the paths and the bridges. Very little nightlife here but you are a close cab ride to Playa Del Carmen which has tons of clubs.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great Family Vacation

We travelled in Feb 2014 with my family. There was 11 of us, 8 adults & 3 children. The food was great, the beach was fabulous. The resort was HUGE but had something for everyone! It was a great trip & would go back again.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great Vacation Spot!

Very clean facility. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating at pool area and lots of fun activities. Plenty of variety at restaurant buffets. Beach was well groomed. Be sure to book water activities early.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing vacation

We were there in march for a week and it was an absolute amazing trip. The resort was great. The grounds were extremely clean, the staff was friendly, there were always chairs by the pool, the food was great. I can't say anything bad about the resort at all.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Amazing vacation!!

We travelled as a family for a wedding. The resort ended up being much more than anything we had imagined! There was something for everyone!! The staff were fabulous! The rooms were comfortable, clean and beautiful! The food was wonderful. We actually enjoyed the buffets the most! We would definately return!!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Adult Only Resort

Quiet, clean and friendly. The rooms were very modern and clean. Well kept grounds with very friendly staff. With multiple pools there is one for whatever you want to do. Swim and splash. Sit waist deep and read. The food in the main buffet was amazing. Never needed to worry about finding something to eat. Great variety. The dessert bar was heavenly and the fresh fruit was tasty. Great place to go if you are just looking to relax.

Riu Yucatan: sunshine galore

Rooms were good, resort was always clean and landscape was well laid out and well taken care of. Restaurants were fine the Italian restaurant was a favourite. The nightly entertainment could use some work.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. There choice of food was endless. Even the most picky eaters will find something to satisfy their hunger. The staff were friendly and always very helpful. Our first trip to an all inclusive and we will defiantly come back to this one.
